- robmQ4353UY (10/5): Great Value, Excellent Location, Cute Decor - The Red Horse Inn is an excellent hotel choice for anyone visiting Falmouth, especially from outside of New England! It’s an adorable inn just south of downtown Falmouth. While we didn’t personally stay there, we coordinated with the general manager, Cindy, to have our guests stay there the week of our wedding. We were delighted to learn that prices were very reasonable for an August weekend, at under $300 per night (2-night minimum). We had no issues with our invited guests securing rooms, and it is best to book rooms by calling hotel management directly. The room decor is characteristically quaint Cape Cod themed, and was a nice bonus to welcome our many guests who had never been to Cape Cod. Cindy was accommodating in allowing our shuttle buses to pick up and drop off guests at the Red Horse Inn, and she was good at getting the guest welcome bags where they needed to go after we dropped them off.
- Brian_the_cat (2/5): What Customer Service? - On the plus side, the inn was clean and was well located. It was however ridiculously expensive for what it was. It was most unhappy with the customer service. My wife accidently left a $75 Apple charger at the inn. I emailed and it was confirmed that they did in fact have it. I asked them to send it, postage to be paid by me, to a US address and nothing - complete silence. I do not regard this as good customer service at all. In fact it feels like a disinterest in the guests - they just did not care. I would definitely not recommend staying here
- Y3341CGmandyb (8/5): Lovely Stay! - Ferry to Martha’s Vineyard was cancelled so we were able to find accommodation at the Red Horse Inn. Very comfortable room. Slightly noisy due to our room being on the street. Nice having ‘The Stables’ as a lounge to chill in after dinner out! We had a glass of wine and relaxed there! Help yourself breakfast was provided there - ample choices. Definitely recommend!

- Diane (7/5): Good due to location - The breakfast was fair. We are coffee lovers, and the coffee is not very good. Great location for walkers, which we are. We stayed on the ground floor. Very noisy with normal noise from above us.

Very charming, clean, close to everything and the owners have thought of all the little things that make a stay memorable. We were late to book it, and were also going to be a late check-in. Cindy was very accommodating, and we enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend and hope to go back again!

The location is quiet and very close to the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Walkable to several restaurants and bars. The staff was always very friendly. - bobkV9987NG (10/5): Falmouth Road Race Weekend Runner - My wife and I having been going to the Red Horse Inn Falmouth Heights Road in August for over 10 years to the Falmouth Road Race This year it was excellent as usual. It has a great location for seeing the race. Also if you are running the race it is within walking distance to the buses that take you to the start. The rooms are clean and neat as well as the overall property. Most important the manager Cindy Brown is superb. There is a breakfast every morning from 10 to 12. However on Race day Cindy makes sure the breakfast is available for the runners at 5 AM. I would recommend this Inn as a great place to stay especially if you are interested in the annual Falmouth Road Race Bob and Flo Kelley

Although we arrived after hours, the check-in instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. The accommodations were exceptionally clean—possibly the cleanest we've ever experienced in any lodging. The complimentary breakfast was a thoughtful and appreciated touch. The location was ideal, with convenient access to both downtown and the Martha’s Vineyard ferry. Our only minor complaint was the noise from the room above us, which made it difficult to sleep at times. Despite that, we would absolutely return to the Inn and highly recommend it to others.
- JimBSE (10/5): A very welcoming place to stay and a great location - We stayed at the Red Horse Inn as it was only a few minutes walk to the ferry for Martha's Vineyard. We received a very warm welcome on arrive and our room was very clean & spacious. Breakfast, which included cereals, bagels, muffins, yogurts, etc. was available every morning in the wonderful 'barn' (see photo). The barn was also available 24 hours a day for complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. along with a selection of board games and books. It was a very nice place to spend some time. The Red Horse was one of our favourite accommodations on our New England road-trip.

Perfect location for walking to the Vineyard ferry or the shops and restaurants on Main Street. The executive King suite was huge with a separate seating area, nice sizes refrigerator and a microwave. We would highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to come back again soon.

Literally from booklets to help you use the tv, connect to wifi, or providing something as small as makeup wipes and a shower cap it truly makes you feel seen. The room is actually very clean and so cute and the tv has good channels to watch. I'm normally very picky with hotels but if you are looking for one the red horse inn is actually great and i really do recommend it!

Room very clean and each room has its own charm and privacy. We did stay in the larger rental rooms on 2nd flr. Barn breakfast cottage offers easy source for early morning appetite Second stay - will return.

Cynthia was super nice, amicable and personable, always willing to help. The continental breakfast was very good, especially the blueberry muffins. We enjoyed our stay.

The neighborhood is quiet and a wonderful place to take a long walk on flat terrain. You are even close enough to walk to town if that were to strike you. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The twin queen rooms are very spacious, and always immaculate! Main Street has a great variety of shops and restaurants. Very walkable too!

- 182berniel (10/5): Great hotel with a great location - An amazing hotel. The room was spacious, clean and bright and the air conditioning was nice and cool. A great location - 1/2 mile from the center of town, 3/4 mile to the ocean (both mostly flat walks) and two blocks from the Island Queen Ferry to Martha's Vineyard. It was just off the main road so getting in and out was easy. The cost was much cheaper than hotels closer to town and on the beach and it was a great value.

The King Suite was really nice and very large. The location was great. Walking distance to the Island Queen Ferry and lots of restaurants on the harbor. Main Street had tons of great little shops and restaurants. Would absolutely recommend and would return.

The room was bright, happy, well appointed, and very comfortable. Can't say enough about this surprise. The appearance is much nicer than the photo on the website. Parking is great. The breakfast/coffee shed/building is terrific as is the plentiful peaceful seating outside. You cannot go wrong staying here. P.S. I've never met the folks before and have no connection with the place except our one stay which was very enjoyable.

I hadn't been to Falmouth is many years but was familiar with Falmouth Heights and wanted to stay near the beaches. The Red Horse Inn was a perfect location not just to the beaches but also downtown. We found it very clean and very friendly. They offer a cute breakfast nook with fresh muffins and coffee for the morning. I highly recommend staying here whether it's on or off season.

The breakfast is nice. The location is great. The Inn keeper is super nice and helpful. We will stay at this place again.
- Steve (10/5): Very pleased with our stay... Highly recommend. - Our room was Immaculate, cheery and comfortable. The breakfast barn was great with really good coffee that was not watered down like in most places we've stayed at. Glass mugs were a plus! Cindy, the manager was terrific! We'll be back in the off season... We didn't end up using the TV but it was much too small to watch from our bed. There were 2 table chairs in the room which could be upgraded. The air conditioner was a little louder than we're used to but worked fine and was away from our sleeping area.

The rooms are very comfortable. Super clean, fresh.. cozy and Cute! Can’t beat the location. It’s just so easy to get to so many places. Just down the street to main st for food/shopping.. hop skip and a jump… to the ferry service , ability to rent bikes for the shining sea bike trail.. and beaches .. just love Falmouth!

Would be good if the property had bikes for use onsite (there is a rental 15mins walk away, but does cost $25/day - would be great if there were bikes for ad-hoc use by the hotel) A lot of unnecessary single use plastic - eg at breakfast plastic cups… these could have been reusable glasses / beakers to prevent so much plastic wastage

- jackiemG9954XP (10/5): Perfect place for your getaway to Cape Cod - Perfect location for all events we had planned. Staff was very helpful with making suggestions for our plans while visiting. Room was quiet, sunny and very clean. Room service available upon request. Price was very reasonable. Light breakfast available on site with coffee and tea always available. Close to many restaurant options and staff can help you with that as well.
- John (9/5): Looks like a standard beach motel, but the service and cleanliness beat many chain hotels. - The room was exceptionally clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Their continental breakfast surprisingly good, and their dog was very sweet and did a great job of greeting us when we arrived. The air conditioner produced a moldy odor when turned on. After running it for a while, it subsided.

- G4410HProya (10/5): A perfect stay! - Whether you are lodging for business or pleasure the Red Horse checks all the boxes. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast in the barn is complimentary with a great selection to choose from. Dining, shopping and the beaches are close by and if you want to take a day trip to the Vineyard… the shuttle to the ferry is a few minutes away. I will be back.
- Bruce (10/5): I’ve stayed at a few motels in town and I wish I had try Red Horse years ago, a wonderful experience - The breakfast was very good. The location was off the main road very quiet and easy to get in and out of. Not a thing.

- C8901SIroberto (10/5): Nice Inn in downtown Falmouth with GREAT location! - Colonial style inn. Room with king bed, refrigerator, microwave, bathroom with large walk-in shower. Key to the breakfast room, well-stocked with continental breakfast items. Very nice woman runs the place. The best aspect is the LOCATION. One block to scenic Falmouth Harbor or to Paul's Pizza (reasonably priced restaurant). Two blocks to the Martha's Vineyard Oak Bluffs "Island Queen" ferry, or to Main Street, Falmouth. Walk across the short north side of Falmouth Harbor, turn left to Windfall Market, upscale small market with great prepared meals and bakery items. Continue south to Flying Bridge restaurant (recommended). Or instead, walk south from the Inn to the Black Dog Cafe (recommended), eat there or across the street, sit at the benches overlooking Falmouth Harbor. Continue walking south to the mouth of Falmouth Harbor and views of Martha's Vineyard. Then walk (or drive) east up the hill to views, then continue to two popular restaurants at the Falmouth Heights Beach. Or instead, from the Red Horse Inn, walk north two blocks to Main Street, left to walk to downtown shops, restaurants, and the library in the heart of downtown Falmouth. Or turn right on Main St to typical chain restaurants, two large grocery stores, Wal-Mart, ....
- saltieri1 (10/5): We love it! - Our third time staying at Red Horse Inn and we love it. We always get the Executive King room which is spacious, clean and well furnished and also a good value. The staff is very friendly and the complimentary continental breakfast is very convenient. We will be back!
- Meredith (10/5): - What the large chains are taking away is just what this Inn does in spades - lots of thoughtful little extras that make your stay enjoyable - A warm welcome from owner's who care - not just complimentary toiletries, but cloth napkins at a generous breakfast display even fresh homemade muffins!! Very clean, pleasantly decorated room and comfortable bed. We will definitely book here again.

We enjoyed the coffee and breakfast items available, including oatmeal, toast, bagel, yogurt, juices and coffee in a pleasant room. Check in was easy and they were knowledgeable of the area. Would definitely stay here again.

As soon as we arrived we received a warm welcome, and check-in was as simple as possible. The room was gorgeous, and always immaculately cleaned while we were out. The Barn was lovely, and was always out first port of call when we came back from a day out - it was toasty-warm (when needed), comfortable, with tea/coffee available all day long. The breakfast was just right (even had porridge for the morning of the half-marathon). We thought it was great value for money, in a great location, and a good base for exploring the surrounding area. We would definitely come again, when we would spend a bit longer visiting the rest of Cape Cod.

The Barn, on site, is a great little place to grab a simple breakfast and meet other guests, when the barn was closed there were kettles and coffee makers for guests to take and use in their rooms if required..

- 977debbien (10/5): The inn is a favorite year-round retreat, alone or with my husband. - The Red Horse Inn is a delightfully charming, relaxing, well located, immaculate establishment. The owner and her staff are welcoming and accommodating. Parking is easy. A complimentary continental breakfast is available daily in a cozy breakfast barn. The grounds are well maintained with comfortable outdoor seating for eating and relaxing. There is obvious attention paid to every detail. The cost is reasonable and well worth the expense.

- Quest16410909153 (10/5): A happy discovery in Falmouth! - Lovely inn, centrally located in Falmouth. We had a large, airy room with a mini fridge and microwave. We particularly appreciated the ample seating; two chairs at a small table and a third chair at a desk. The bathroom, while very small, was immaculate and well appointed with supplies and fluffy towels. The "barn" where breakfast is available is small but very cozy, with a good array of self-serve breakfast foods and ample seating, made even nicer with the gas fireplace. There are even tea pots, wine glasses, beach towels and board games that can be taken back to the room. The owner could not have been nicer, and we were happy to learn that this is a year-round property because we definitely plan to return this winter!

- A1723GKrobertm (10/5): Laid back mid- October stay - Room was clean and comfortable. The owner is very friendly and accomodating. The Barn is a great spot to kick back with free coffee, cereal, muffins, bagels and juice. The location is great. This is the second time we've stayed here and we will definitely stay again when we are in the area.
- W2503MFellenr (10/5): Loved the Red Horse Inn! - I recently, stayed at the Red Horse Inn for a few days as I was in town for a Wedding. The Manager and Staff were very friendly and courteous. My room was sparkling clean, had all the amenities and was very quiet. The location was ideal as it is right near downtown Falmouth, so I was able to walk everywhere. I loved the breakfast and snack location as they always had coffee, bagels and English muffins for a quick breakfast. I definitely, plan on returning! Thank you!

- Jennifer (4/5): Great location if you want easy access to the Martha’s Vineyard ferry - Very friendly staff, great location, the 24 hour barn where you could get food or coffee was a nice touch The building was old and first thing I did when I opened the door was kill a big bug, which left a bad taste in my mouth. Our room was on the first floor and the blinds didn’t close all the way, which made us uncomfortable. The decor was early 80’s and could use updating. We went on an unusually busy weekend so prices were ridiculously high. I think if we’d paid a normal rate I’d have expected less and been happier overall.
