- Ludovica (10/5): Tutto perfetto. Da tornarci subito - Camere molto curate e pulite, con una vista spettacolare direttamente sul mare. Ristorante dove si fa colazione bellissimo con vista mare e personale gentilissimo. Semplicemente meraviglioso! Nulla

- Sandice (10/5): A lovely, quiet hotel by the sea - We really enjoyed our stay at Villa delle Palme. We chose to stay in Santa Marinella prior to our cruise as we knew we would be jet-lagged and wanted a quieter place. We chose an ocean view room with a king sized bed and a balcony. The room was decorated simply and was clean. The bed was comfortable. I had requested distilled water prior to our arrival and it was waiting in our room. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We were leaving after checkout, so stored our bags with the front desk. The kind cleaning person brought down a small item that we'd left behind and it was waiting for us with our bags. The breakfast was very tasty (excellent croissants and cappuccino) and the breakfast room was nice and sunny with a view of the sea. We ate at Bianca, the hotel restaurant for dinner. The food was very good, but the service was rather inconsistent (they forgot to bring our pasta dish).
- Sightseer41612256153 (10/5): Hotel night before our Transatlantic Cruise - After selecting this hotel thru a 3rd party website we were contacted by the hotel directly. Ceasare and Simon were so helpful offering valuable information. They were very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. It was a 5 star experience. The restaurant offered delicious food and a wonderful view. I would love to go back in the summer months when the weather is better because there is so much to see and do.
- Dlind33065 (10/5): Excellent pre cruise hotel - There was a slight issue with my reservation that was through a third party. I called the hotel directly and they assured me it was good. The location is really nice and I would like to go back in the summer. The hotel and restaurant staff were excellent. It was a great place to stay prior to going on a cruise.

- Christine (10/5): A wonderful place to stay for one night when our flight home was canceled and the hotels in Rome were exorbitantly price - Loved the fact that the hotel was oceanfront. Beautiful views. The food was excellent too. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Nothing.

- V7916TTmikeg (10/5): Great hotel in a great seaside town near Rome! - Excellent stay at VdP (our 2nd time with them)
The staff were very helpful, even letting us take their beach towels down to the beach down the street
Special mention for friendly, professional service from Paola Astori

- 458randyf (10/5): Santa Marinella masterpiece. - We were greeted and able to check in 2 hours early. Our room provided a spectacular view of the sea. Would recommend dining in downtown Santa Marinella to add to the experience. Easy check in and out and they arranged for transportation to the Port and successful boarding of our Celebrity Ascent.
- susros19 (10/5): Wonderful stay; great service and beautiful setting. - Had a lovely 2 night stay before our cruise. Hotel reception were helpful, friendly and accommodating. We stayed in ocean view rooms which were lovely with amazing views. We ate at the restaurant for lunch and dinner which was lovely. Overall a wonderful stay with great service. Perfect start to our trip.
- marksI3263SF (10/5): Excellent Stay - We stayed here a few days before our cruise. It was perfect. The staff was fantastic, the restaurant was wonderful and the rooms were nice size for Europe. The hotel was an easy walk to a great beach area and there are several good off-site restaurants to choose from. We took their shuttle to the cruise terminal and it was a quick 15-20 minute ride. All and all a great experience.
- GoPlaces53904381602 (10/5): Nice Hotel Highly Recommended - Very nice botique hotel just a short drive from cruise port Chivecchia. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Forgot our voltage converter and they immediately helped. Dinner was good and the Continental breakfast was ok. The room was simple but neat and clean.
- andyjh2025 (10/5): Absolute Gem , very peaceful relaxing place. - This little gem is located in a fabulous position right on the clear sea . Spectacular views from hotel room and all around hotel across the sea . Has a lovely little restaurant as well . My only advice I could offer to the hotel would be to train the bar staff to go around the sunbed area asking if we would like some drinks . This did not happen once during my stay .im sure it would increase their sales too . I would definitely recommend this place to anybody visiting the area even if it’s just a few nights before picking up a cruise as we did. Very peaceful relaxing place I will definitely return .

- SmileMakerCharters (10/5): Very nice hotel- great restaurant - One night only but it was lovely - we loved the ocean sound at night and slept well
Recommend!

- jeffmE9119SK (10/5): Pre-Cruise Shangri-La - We highly recommend Villa delle Palme for your pre-cruise stay! Very nice hotel and restaurant! The patio offered a perfect spot for relaxation!
- TeheranbornCanuck (8/5): There is much to like; but - Hotel is let down by the restaurant. Staff are somewhat surly; not overly accommodating > I had booked and confirmed a table in the shade for lunch, but was offered one in the sun. This was not an argument I was going to win.
So I sat inside; at least the fettuccine was excellent.
Breakfast is a bit sparse, additional/different fresh fruits would be nice.
On a positive note: the view is stunning,; room and bedding very comfortable; air condition works wonders; and the large bathroom is well equipped and laid out.
Towels very fluffy.

- R450CWjohnf (10/5): 5 star review! - We stayed at Villa delle Palme after a 7 day cruise on MSC. From check in to check out, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and provided excellent service. The hotel is beautifully situated on the water and is very luxurious. We dined at the restaurant one night which was excellent! The area is very peaceful and walking distance to great restaurants. We are very happy we chose Villa delle Palme and we highly recommend this establishment for anyone who is looking to stay in Santa Marinella!
- Paolini (8/5): Piacevole - La posizione La mancanza di parcheggio privato
- Fred Olav (10/5): Et supert alternativ i Santa Marinella ! - Nydelig beliggenhet, herlige fasiliteter, hyggelig personale Litt for dyre solsenger
- Antonciro (10/5): - Struttura storica molto ben organizzata e tenuta. Posizione tranquilla ma comunque centrale. Pulizia e cortesia. Servizio ottimi. Buona colazione. Bello il giardino per un cocktail vista mare. Le stanze comode
- Bryan (10/5): A lovely Italian boutique hotel, and a joy to stay at and we will go again. Easy to get to Rome. - Loved the vibe and Italian feel and being straight on top of the sea (definitely get a sea view) ... staff excellent and the overall experience - breakfast on the sea line, loungers overlooking the sea - all just a great experience. It only an 8 to 10 min walk down the road to the main train station and a 60 min train journey into the main Rome Terminal- and if you book in advance, £4 a ticket per adult. Trains until around 11pm each evening. Also only three hours to Pisa on the same line. Only minor issue, but we overcame it easily enough - was the lack of direct hotel parking, but you can pop a car a few streets away. No issues and drop the bags off at the hotel before you do. It only an 8 to 10 min walk down the road to the main train station.
- Danielle (10/5): Cannot fault. Superb stay. - What a find! Just stunning. Hotel room and gardens beautiful. Staff and restaurant great. So relaxing by the ocean.
- Ilaria (10/5): -
- Randi (9/5): Sjarmerende idyllisk sted.
- Mark (6/5): Pleasant - Room was lovely and fantastic view of the sea. Our evening meal was a big let down.
Not much choice for breakfast
- Hugo (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful position on the coast! Few taxis.
- davecF1162VX (8/5): - The hotel was great. Very boutique. I will say that the offer to hang out at their "beach club" for 30 more Euro was happily declined. Instead we walked down to the many private clubs and paid only for drinks and a lounge. Much better beach vibe. The restaurant was fantastic for dinner and the breakfast the following morning was thoroughly enjoyable. Get the ocean view and open the windows for an amazing ocean breeze.
- 440leighanneg (10/5): Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff, delicious food and clean, comfortable rooms. - We stayed at this hotel between 2 cruises. It was such a relaxing experience! A quaint area to walk in, but why would you ever leave the property! The staff were kind and helpful; the room was clean and comfortable; the food at breakfast and dinner was delicious! Plus, there is an area to sit outside in the sun or shade...where you can have lunch and drinks. Much better than staying in Rome and just a quick 25 min drive from the hotel to the Rome port. The hotel overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea and the white hotel is just picturesque.
- BrenB164 (10/5): Perfect and dreamiest Italian Villa - We had a beautiful and unforgettable stay at Villa delle Palme in Santa Marinella. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The villa itself is stunning , elegant, peaceful, and full of charm. Our room was immaculate and beautifully appointed, with thoughtful details and breathtaking views of the sea.
The food was truly spectacular. Every meal felt both effortless and special, with fresh, local ingredients and warm, attentive service that made each dining experience a joy.
The staff could not have been more gracious or accommodating. Their kindness and genuine hospitality made us feel completely at home throughout our stay.
And the ocean — just steps away — was perfect. Waking up to the sound of the waves and swimming in that clear, calm water was pure magic.
We would return in a heartbeat. This was the kind of stay that lingers in your memory long after you’ve left.
- 19ot (10/5): Unique stay - Super nice atmosphere in a unique building. Nice laid back vibe and a wonderful location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
- 358marilynn (10/5): Very comfortable hotel with amazing staff. - A lovely hotel on the edge of the sea. It was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was lovely and meals were delicious. The staff were professional and extremely helpful. They went beyond their job description to assist us with a transportation problem. They made our stay very enjoyable.
- 296marjh (10/5): Villa delle Palme is the perfect place to stay before a cruise - Villa delle Palme is the perfect place to stay before a cruise. It’s close enough to the port for easy access, but just far enough to enjoy the charm of a quiet coastal town. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely — fresh, delicious, and included in the stay — and the coffee was amazing! Very reasonably priced and a peaceful way to start our trip. Highly recommend!
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Kerry (10/5): Relaxing Hotel with Beautiful Views - We loved staying here!!! A great way to wrap up our trip to Italy.
- D4221RTkt (10/5): Beautiful and Relaxing - My husband and I wrapped up our vacation to Italy by spending two nights at Villa delle Palme. It was a 50 min train ride from Rome and a 10 min walk from the station. Helpful hint: most stores and restaurants in the town close from about 1-4 and restaurants open for dinner at 7:30. Although people in the hotel spoke English, not too many others in the town did. The room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and had the most amazing views. It had the best AC in all of Italy!! We loved spending a day sunbathing on the deck and swimming in the sea. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine for us; it included basic cereal, yogurt, and grocery store quality pastries. Although the restaurant was beautifully decorated and had amazing views, we unfortunately did not enjoy the food at dinner. It was heavily sauced and on the salty side. We would absolutely stay here again!!!
- Carol (8/5): Enjoyed the staff, view, and served our purpose. - Lunch and dinner menu is too restricted to be able to cover a wide variety of culinary choices. E.G. not everyone enjoys seafood. It certainly served people who look forward to those selections, just not our group.
The Toastie and small pizza that our group ordered for one lunch was not tasty nor palatable.
Breakfast choices were fine.
- Andrew (10/5): - Perfect small seaside hotel, nice restaurant and quiet location.
- Sarah (8/5): - Gorgeous property! Loved our stay. We had a sea view room loved falling asleep to the waves! We stayed here just before departing from FCO and it was a great last night in Italy, a smaller chill town.
- Gbyer (10/5): Another perfect vacation stay… - We have been going to Villa delle Palme for years now. It is a beautiful hotel in a breathtaking setting. The rooms with a balcony overlooking the sea are particularly spectacular. The restaurant, Bianca, is one of the best in town. It is near the sand beaches, but frankly there is no need given that you can swim directly from the hotel platform. The best thing is that we always feel as though we are among friends. The staff is amazing.
- Roberta (9/5): Great venue so glad we stayed there it was beautiful. - Room was wonderful with a balcony view of the sea. Breakfast was tasty with lots of gluten free options. Staff were lovely and it was exceptionally clean. The restaurant could have been better- the evening meal was not the best.
- Raimonda (10/5): - Helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast options. Water issue in the shower on the last day.
- Whisperingstrings36 (10/5): Amazing - The staff was amazing!
All the staff!
Check was smooth and amazing
The dinner service was incredible as was the food.
The restaurant was over looking the ocean and beautifully decorated
When our rental cars were canceled due to an Expedia mistake , this hotel bent over backwards to accommodate us and support our next steps in securing vehicles. Truly grateful !
- roberttT1337SV (10/5): great sea side hotel. - A seaside hotel in Santa Marinella close to the cruise port to spend a day or two prior to your cruise or a few days after. Within walking distance of local restaurants and large public beaches. On site restauranrt right on the water with outstanding ocean views and food. Servers very friendly and attentive.
- Sophie (4/5): - I think we probably got the worst room in the whole place. It looked like it was made for monks in a monastery two low beds, Hart of the rock windows that don’t open dusty draperies. Although the receptionist was very nice, she did not know how to show us how to turn on the television she had to call someone else and it took like five phone calls to get it to work. Either there were bedbugs there or something else that bit my husband’s back. I did not get it, but it ruined our vacation. The only thing that we enjoyed about that hotel was its location and that the restaurant food was excellent.
- Mario (6/5): - I had prearranged travel from the airport to this hotel a month before our trip
- Roy (9/5): Superb - Lovely hotel with an excellent restaurant looking out to sea. Nothing
- Jerrilyn (10/5): - My stay was great
- Jeff (10/5): - Beautiful property with spectacular views. Friendly service with delicious meals.
- Christina (8/5): - My booking was not relayed correctly thru expedia, so i did not get type of rooms i requested. Also very limited dining in area. Hotels restaurant very small quantity for dinner. Example: "7" ravoli for 22 euro's. Gnocchi, 3 tablespoons 20 euro's. Outrageous.
- Minnie (10/5): - Beautiful and spacious room near the ocean. We enjoyed a delicious dinner on the property before our cruise the next day.
- peteriE2664MR (10/5): Charming - Delightful place! We wanted a place to just chill for a few days before our Mediterranean cruise. This hotel was just what we needed. Charming grounds, excellent restaurant, good food, great views, nice area, and friendly staff.
We were a group of three couples. One day, the girls took the train to Rome. An easy trip as the station is just a couple minute walk. The guys chilled at the beach nearby. Easy walk to beach.
We booked a room with a balcony which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely staff there again.
- Karpachev (8/5): Great location, lovely staff and a breathtaking beach - We stayed at the hotel for just one night, so it’s hard to give a full review – but overall, we were very happy with our stay.
The location is excellent, especially for those traveling back from Northern Italy to Rome – perfect for a short stop to relax.
The sea is absolutely stunning, and the hotel is very clean and well-kept.
The staff were kind and helpful, and the atmosphere was peaceful.
Breakfast was fine, though I expected a bit more variety – still, the breakfast restaurant itself is charming and a lovely place to start the day.
It’s a shame we didn’t have time to enjoy the beach or go for a swim.
In my opinion, the price is a bit high for a short stay, but overall, we were satisfied.
Worth staying for a couple of days if you’re passing through!
- Robin (8/5): - It was a nice quaint hotel and the staff were pretty accommodating. For an overnight stay, it met our needs.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (9/5): Great Location - Great location next to the beach. The hotel restaurant had great food and drinks. The staff was very friendly as well. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were very very flat!!
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- grantbZ8191FM (6/5): Small rooms, great views, food not great. - The views are quite good. The place is well taken care of, but the rooms are very small. Caesar was at the front desk and he was very helpful. Breakfast was included, but not shared with us that it was.
The food at the Bianca restaurant was disappointing. Truly not what it should have been. Very unfortunate, but don't eat there until they improve it.
- Jurgen (8/5): - Nice property in a tired location with few decent restaurants bearby unless youre looking for swafood or pizza.
- Snoopdog_07 (10/5): Amazing views - We loved our stay. The staff are very warm and welcoming. The views were amazing. We were very close to shops and restaurants. We were also very close to the train station to go to Rome. There is a restaurant at the hotel where we had dinner and breakfast the following morning. We would definitely stay here again.
- brucelJ6959TZ (8/5): good option pre cruise - been here twice. nice short stop before a cruise. much more affordable and close to civitaveccia. rooms are ok. suitable. the restauant is good. breakfast has nothing hot so just be aware of that. lots of cakes and pastries but light on fruit (whole apples and oranges only) and no cooked eggs. just hard boiled. staff is very nice. towels are great. bed is hard for my taste but good
one reason we stay there is the espresso maker with neapresso capsules.
- gabrielh592 (10/5): Great way to start a cruise - Friendly staff, clean room with an outstanding sea view and terrace.
Great restaurant with nice menu and wine selection
Sunbed and access to the sea.
Great way to start a cruise away from Rome’s crowd.
It was difficult getting a taxi and Paola dropped us at the station.
- James (8/5): Great for pre cruise stay - Enjoyed the hotel
- Judith (10/5): - Lovely spot for an overnight before heading to FCO. Neat little downtown walk. Restaurant - for dinner - was not inexpensive, but the food, view and ataff were great.
Lovely breakfast spread.
- Ana (10/5): - Beautiful right on the walk. Easy to walk to restaurants but remember dinner doesn’t start till 7pm so don’t be looking for food around 5 everything is closed.
- marydT5833IF (10/5): Italian sweet seaside boutique hotel - The most incredible stay! Our balcony room was just what we needed after a 9 hour flight. Soothing, relaxing, quiet, and a full moon surprise to our delight. The restaurant onsite, Bianca, was absolutely delicious. BEST meal of our trip! Walkable to town location.
- Germain (9/5): We would recommend this lovely hotel for its setting and delicious meals. - Bianca restaurant was excellent. Pasta and seafood were delicious.
The morning buffet was satisfying.
The reception and cleaning staff were a joy. The elevator is small.
- Yan (2/5): The restaurant staff was not friendly - None Our room is extremely small
- L3775EErobertb (8/5): Would stay here again - Very relaxed and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was amazing! We had just finished a 14 day cruise and decided to stay an extra day in Rome before flying home. So glad we did. We walked into the small town, stopped for wine at a local seashore cafe and really enjoyed the downtime before a long flight home
- Tracy (10/5): Excellent hotel - Great hotel. Beautiful rooms. Excellent restaurant. Team working throughout hotel were friendly, helpful and ensured they did everything to make our stay perfect
- Adventure29115360596 (10/5): Seaside stopover - We stayed here on our way to Tuscany. The hotel was so easy to find and in a beautiful location. Our room looked out over the sea-just stunning . Well appointed and spacious . Staff were lovely. Dinner and breakfast were good in their Bianca restaurant overlooking the sea.
- Kate (9/5): Spent a night here after long haul from Australia-just what we needed. Beautiful views of the ocean, so relaxing - Exceptional view, immaculately clean ,large room and bathroom
- nicholas (10/5): A great stay for a night before cruising - A lovely little hotel. We stayed here for a night before cruising. They organised transfer to the port the next morning. Friendly staff and a great location.
- Spencer (10/5): Exceptional -
- 739eleanorc (8/5): My bucket list vacation - The views were gorgeous. great service. wonderful dining experience. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. We only stayed one night and the hotel arranged transportation for a 11 day Greek Island Cruise.
Hotel is a little old, but very comfortable, and like I said you can't beat the views especially while dining!
- Oksana (8/5): - Nice location. Not too far from the cruise terminal.
- I1097SVmikep (10/5): Seaside view and better service - The view was amazing and the staff was even better. Being the off season, guest load was light and we were treated royally. Breakfast was a great pleasureful way to start each day of our trips into the Italian countryside. We wrapped up many days playing card in the seaside beach house.
- MaSto63925 (10/5): excellent stay - The hotel staff were very accommodating and helpful. We stayed one night for a pre cruise stay, and had the hotel arrange a transfer from FCO to the hotel and the hotel to the port. The communication with the hotel was very easy, and I received replies quickly. The bed was very comfortable, and the view was beautiful. I would highly recommend the restaurant for dinner.
- JerriE2020 (10/5): Wonderful place - We were looking for a one-night stay between the cruise terminal and airport and found this lovely hotel in a beautiful seaside town. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. We flung open the windows to realize we were surrounded by the Mediterrean Sea - spectacular views. We ate dinner that evening - the food was fresh and delicious. Service all around could not have been better. It was off-season, the town was quiet but I imagine during the summer this is the place to be.
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Todd (10/5): - Quiet and tranquil setting.
- benp125 (10/5): Great stay - From start to finish this Hotel is five stars. Great location within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The beach is within walking distance. The property itself is beautiful clean rooms, comfortable bed it even had safe and a mini fridge which we appreciate greatly. It is right on the water with great views. The staff is phenomenal friendly helpful all around great people. Sharon at the front desk was very helpful in many ways, especially helping us getting transportation to and from cruise port and the airport.
I would highly recommend it .
We will definitely return next time. We are in the area.
- bradley (8/5): - Liked the property but our room did not have a coffee maker. The area is very quiet but nothing much in walking distance.
- Patricia (10/5): Wonderful Boutique Hotel - We loved our one night stay with sea views! We ate lunch and dinner at their restaurant and it was scrumptious! Good wine, seafood and pasta.
- Tracy (6/5): Okay before cruise - We stayed here for a few days before going on a cruise and it is in a cute small town. The hotel is accommodating to your needs and eager to help. The food is expensive and most other places to eat in the area do not open until 730/8 pm which is somewhat late. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to the train station.
