Die Lage ist sehr gut, da man fußläufig die Innenstadt erreichen kann. Aber auch die Anbindung an den HVV ist sehr gut. Gute Speisemöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe.
• Byung Joon (8/5): 2019年8月末滞在 - 仕事で一週間滞在。仕事場に近いので選択。到着時に入り口に書かれた電話番号に電話して入り口の開錠および鍵ボックスの暗証番号を聞く必要があり、注意が必要。電話をかけられる状態でないと問題が生じる可能性大。シャワーはロッカーの中にシャワーが有るような一見、強烈な感じだが、使ってみると十分な感じ。朝食は他の宿泊者と一つのテーブルで食べるスタイルで、良くも悪くもアットホームな宿。周辺の治安は良く、夜も静か。暑い時期に当たったので、窓を開けて寝た。

• Verified traveler (8/5): Hübsches kleines zentrales Hotel - Das Hotel befindet sich in einem alten Herrschaftshaus, welches 1890 erbaut wurde. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß mit über 30qm und hatte einen Balkon und Zugang zum Garten. Das Frühstück gab es zu einer angenehmen Zeit und war reichhaltig. In der Nähe ist gleich eine U-Bahn Station und viele Restaurants. Nur Parkplätze sind knapp gesät.

• Helge Andreas (2/5): Faulty Towers - The hotel is clean, and the area is great. I didn't´t mind so much that there is not private toilette in the rooms. What bothered me a bit is that you here the other rooms quite well. But the big dissapointment was the service at the breakfast. I can understand that it is a "privat" hotel, and every guest goes to the one table in the kitchen, everything being a bit like invading someones home. But the unfriendly attitude of the lady running it was completely ridiculous. Answering in a rude way, and being not nice. It made all the guest sit in complete silence, feeling awkward and uncomfortable. It reminded me mostly of "faulty towers" with John Cleese. I wanted to know what happened to Freund in Gastfreundlichkeit, but I got an urge just to get away from there. My advice is go there only if you have to, but nevertheless, skip breakfast there.

• Manfred (6/5): Preis Leistung o.k. - Hotel hat Ambiente alles alt mit Stuckdecken und alten Möbeln wer Komfort will muß in dieser Lage mehr Geld ausgeben statt schlechte Bewertungen zu schreiben. Fazit für Kurz Urlaub 2-3 Tage optimal für 1 Woche würde ich was anderes empfehlen.
• Laura (8/5): Kostengünstige und saubere Pension in Uni-Nähe - Ich war von der Hotel-Pension Fink wirklich positiv überrascht. Normalerweise rechnet man in einer solchen Preiskategorie immer schon mit einem Haken, aber ich war wirklich sehr zufrieden. Mein Zimmer war ordentlich und vor allem sehr sauber und das Serviceteam stets freundlich, wenn auch für meinen Geschmack etwas sehr zurückhaltend. Das Frühstück war für den Preis ebenfalls in Ordnung, auch wenn etwas Hintergrundmusik in der kleinen, gemütlichen Küche, in der alle Gäste an einem gemeinsamen Tisch frühstücken, nicht geschadet hätte. Die Gegend, in der die Pension liegt, hat ebenfalls einen guten Eindruck gemacht. Die Universität liegt nur 8 min zu Fuß entfernt, ebenso wie die Alster und die U-Bahnhaltestelle Hallerstraße. Ich würde die Pension jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

Lite lustigt med en duschkabin i rummet. Saknade toalett på rummet Att det endast fanns en damtoalett resp. en herrtoalett på så många rum var lite snålt.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - Zimmer ist sehr groß. Allerdings ziemlich muffig. Im Zimmer befindet sich ein Duschkabine, ein Waschbecken eine Eckbank ein Fernseher und ein Doppelbett. Das Zimmer müsste einmal renoviert werden.
• Alla (10/5): Уникальный отель в приличном районе Гамбурга - Отель оставил просто неизгладимое впечатление! Очень интересная квартира. У нас был номер 12, огромная комната, метров 30, не меньше. Высоченный потолок с росписью и лепниной. Кроме необходимых кровати и шкафа легко разместились стол с уголком и стульями, телевизор, кресло, которое скорее всего раскладывается в доп. спальное место. И душевая кабина, которая довольно забавно смотрелась рядом со шкафом под старину. Завтрак подавали на замечательной кухне с кучей всяких старинных предметов. И завтрак вполне приличный, не шведский стол, но нормальный немецкий, с выбором булок, сыра, колбасы, паштетов и джемов. Еще и яйцо варили каждому лично. Район тихий, буржуазный, с красивыми домами, до метро недалеко. Нам очень понравилось, но действительно, надо быть готовым, что это не стандартный отель, и любителям роскоши туда ехать не надо.

• Dorothy (4/5): Decent location, but.... - This should be called a B and B because basically it's a bed and breakfast. You will share a toilet with everyone staying in the hotel. There is no air conditioning and when the windows are open, it is very noisy. The decor is charming and gives a Victorian vibe. The lady who cooks breakfast is very sweet. There is no front desk - you have to call when you get to the hotel (don't call before as the man will say call when you get there). They say they have parking, but there was no one to tell us where it was and we couldn't find it, so good luck finding a park on the street.
• Christopher (6/5): Budget but clean and comfortable - Nice enough budget hotel. Small, awkwardly placed shower in the room and a shared toilet off the hall, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Walls were a bit thin so there could be noise from other guests.
• Christian (10/5): Sehr saubere Pension, zentrumsnah - Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr sauber, super Service in Bezug auf die Unterbringungsmöglichkeit meines Fahrrades (Hausflur oder im Zimmer). Die Gemeinsschaftsdusche/Toilette war sehr sauber (den ganzen Tag über!!!).

• Verified traveler (2/5): Nie wieder diese Unterkunft! 14 Zimmer zwei WC' s - Bei der Ankunft war keiner da, die Tür öffnet sich über Telefonanruf. Dann bekommt man den Code für den Schlüsselkasten. Keine Toilette auf dem Zimmer, Etagentoilette. Dusche auf dem Zimmer, Frühstück sparsam, Ei und Orangensaft auf Nachfrage. Man sitzt aneignen einzigen Tisch in der Küche,mit anderen zusammen. Alles sehr alt und runter gewohnt. Achtung bei der Abrechnung , wir sollten Frühstück und Kurtaxe bezahlen, angeblich stand das bei denen nicht drin. Ich habe meine Buchung aufgerufen, alles gezeigt-nachgewiesen, trotzdem Diskussionen . Für diesen Preis, geht das nicht, es ist nichtmal eine Pension. Hotel?...?Nie wieder!

Leider gab es Unstimmigkeiten darüber, ob das Frühstück inbegriffen ist oder nicht. Frühstücksbuffet ist weit übertrieben. Kein Obst, kein Joghurt, kein Orangensaft; insgesamt liebloses Frühstück. Der potenziell mögliche Pluspunkt, diesem Hotel in dem tollen Gebäude, etwas Charme zu verleihen, wurde verfehlt.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel kann man dieses nicht nennen. Schrecklich - Es ist niemand im Hotel, es geht alles automatisch, per Telefon, wo Du selbst anrufen mußt und Dich niemand zurück ruft. Wenn man im Bett liegt schaut man auf das Waschbecken und die mitten im Zimmer aufgestellte Duschkabine. Soetwas habe ich noch nie gesehen. Es gibt nur eine Toilette für alle, diese war auch noch kaputt und man mußte in den Spülkasten hinein fassen. Grauenvoll. Frühstück gibt es pünktlich um 7.30 Uhr, worauf man auch gleich hingewiesen wird, sofern man den Frühstücksraum, wenn man diesen so nennen kann, betritt. Frühstück selbst war gut, allerdings war die Dame etwas schwerhörig und rannte immer hin und her. Wir waren keine Minute alleine.
• Siv (6/5): Denkmalgeschützt scheint nicht nur das Gebäude - Sehr freundlicher Empfang; aber die hübschen Fotos der Website sind Makkulatur. Viele Spinnweweben an den Kronläuchtern und in den meisten Ecken.Außerdem, wahrscheinlich aus Energiespar-Gründen gab es nur zwei funktionierende Glühlampen im Deckenleuchter, von denen eine Lampe länger zum "hochfahren" brauchte. Das WC auf dem Flur ist sehr eng, und es gab dort nur ein Handtuch für sieben benutzende Zimmer. Das Frühstück war sehr übersichtlich: Salami und Mortadella als Aufschnittplatte, eine Sorte Schnittkäse. Am zweiten Tag wurde dies auch erst auf Nachfrage hingestellt. Zwei Päckchen/Sorten Marmelade, Honig und Nuss-Nougat-Creme. Aber am schlimmsten fanden wir, das Brot und Brötchen mal eben per Hand nachgelegt wurden. Also weder Zange noch Handschuh oder "aus der Tüte schütten". Mag sein, dass es nicht jeden stört, aber die Küche ist vollgestellt und so etwas wie ein Gespräch führt man nicht, weil die Servicekraft ja permanent anwesend ist. Sicher nicht wieder.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Wir waren für 2 Tage im Advent mit Freunden in Hamburg. Das Hotel liegt einigermaßen zentral, das Zentrum ist schnell erreichbar. Das Hotel entspricht einem guten Preis/Leisungsverhältnis.

This hotel is walking distance from Congress city centre (5-10minutes). Nearest metro station is hallerstrabe, which is just 3 minutes from the hotel. Breakfast was included and was well served. Timely check-in. Friendly staff. Room was spacious. Attached shower with room but common toilet. Overall pleasant stay. Definitely recommended.

Good supply of restaurants in the area. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. I had a simple spacious room with shower and washbasin and the toilet was across the hall. Great value for money.

I booked with the hotels.com app as three people, but it put us in a room with just a double bed. The hotel staff got us another bed, but charged us for it. Not their fault, an oversight of the app.

• Vladimir (6/5): Very small hotel B&B style. Toilets are shared. - A very small hotel, bead & breakfast style. The hotel is located on the first floor of residential building right in front of the Ethnology museum , very close to the University of Hamburg. The whole hotel looks like a big appartment - there are 5 or 6 rooms in total plus kitchen where breakfasts are served. Each room has it's own shower and sink but the toilets are shared. For me the shared toilets part was a bit of a surprise since the description didn't mention that. My room was very clean and bed was made up every day, I had a small TV (which I never turned on), a full sized bed with a single sized duvet and a single pillow. Overall I am quite satisfied about the room. The hotel stuff consisted of three persons - two receptionists working in shifts and a cleaning lady, only of the receptionists spoke English. Most of the visitors were german-speaking middle-aged to old couples.
• Pat (6/5): Key in the plastic flowerpot - really? - When we located the entrance to the Hotel-Pension Fink, we were greeted not by a person, but by a note that instructed us to call the management. When we did, we were very surprised to learn that the keys to our two rooms were located in an envelope in the plastic flowerpot on the doorstep! Apparently, this was not unusual, as during our stay, there were other notes (presumably for incoming guests) and an appearing and disappearing plastic flowerpot. The only staff that we saw during our stay was the breakfast buffet attendant. One of our rooms was very comfortable and roomy. However, the second single room had to share a hallway bathroom, although there was a shower in the room - something that was not completely clear from the website. We also anticipated that there would be convenient parking available. However, that was not the case.
