- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant Hotel with Great Staff - This hotel is fine. It is located across from a lovely park (Plaza Artigas) and is right downtown. The downtown is a nice walk. The hotel was very clean; the breakfast was just excellent as were the two breakfast hosts. The reception lady (Natalia) was very kind, helpful, and bilingual. The only concern was that the room was quite small. The pool is fine. I would return although I would prefer a slightly better price. I'm not a big gambler but the front desk provided us with complimentary money to give it a try.

- Atlantic555 (4/5): Poor hygiene and poor customer service - Went back to Salto to see my family and we stayed in this hotel thinking is the best in the city. Well... there is a lot to say about this. Customer service was a bit poor, the manager in reception was quite rude one day. I asked her one question and she told me to go back on the next day as she was too busy getting some paperwork in place. I couldn’t believe the attitude! When a customer needs something or asks something you always make the effort to keep the customer happy. That left my husband quite annoyed after had been in the best hotels in the world you never know you are dealing with so always be kind (advice for the staff). Another disappointment was the room hygiene. The cleaner came in every day to do the room but forgot to hoover the room for 7 days!! Our carpet was so dirty we couldn’t believe it! So on the third day I asked in reception again for someone to hoover it, but it seemed they don’t know what that is! Another big disappointment and it was the last one... this hotel is on top of a casino. So that means that every Saturday night you will have loud music till 1:30 am or 2 am that kept me awake and I really wanted to kill someone that night. The positive of this hotel is the location to Salto city and restaurants. Next time we will stay somewhere else.

- 326kanana (8/5): Probably the best in town - We came to Salto to visit the Hot Springs, but couldn't find a facility within a Thermal Complex that suited our needs. All were too basic for us oldies to be comfortable, so we settled on the Salto Hotel and drove every day to the Dayman Spa, just a few minutes out of town. The Salto Hotel was great although we did find the room a little small. The main down side for us, as mentioned so many times here, is the parking, but it's really worse than that. Every time you want to go out (in the car) you have to request the garage gate remote control from reception. You walk the block and a half to your vehicle, then you have to drive back to the hotel to drop the remote back, but to do this you have to drive around the block because of the one-way roads. Of course, when you return from your trip you have to do the whole process in reverse. So you really think twice before you drive anywhere. On the positive side, the hotel is located next to the central district, so it's very walkable. If it wasn't for the parkig issue, this hotel would definitely rate five stars, in my opinion.

La atención es variada, dependiendo de quien esté en la recepción, desde muy amables a poco amistosas. La única desventaja en el hotel es que el estacionamiento no está en el mismo edificio y uno debe retirar la llave del estacionamiento. El resto, 100 %.

The breakfast buffet with its wide selection of foods including many fruits was a welcome change to all the bread/chips in Uruguay otherwise. Reception staff spoke excellent English. Taxi was 200 pesos from the bus terminal.

Además te dan promociones para el restaurante del hotel y tragos en el casino El restaurante Recova del hotel muy rica la oferta culinaria. Lo único que reclamamos es que la piscina tenía el agua helada. No pudimos bañarnos. Sugerimos que solucionen ese tema porque el hotel fue elegido por tener piscina

They kindly let us in to the room much earlier than check in time. Good wifi and breakfast. They have a small cafe/restaurant that does snacks and drinks. We had a lot of rain so our enjoyment of Salto was was diminished but it is a small river town with thermal baths nearby.

No hay una opción para merendar en el hotel pues el restaurant cierra. Si pasas muchos días tenes que repetir la eleccion. En líneas generales bien, pero podría estar mucho mejor.

O atendimento e o café 🍵 da manhã são muito bons. O box do banheiro não é inteiramente fechado, logo a cada banho e um alagamento. O restaurante que fica junto ao Hotel e bom. Por fim, tem a opção do Cassino com variada programação.

O quarto bem amplo, limpo e cheiroso com camas bem confortáveis. Sentimos falta de um frigobar no quarto pois a cidade é bem quente no verão, e tinhamos rodutos coloniais da região para guardar no gelo. O café da manhã bem gostoso e completo.

The first time we took a superior room which was well appointed. It was modern,clean and very comfortable. We had great city views over to Concordia. On our second visit we took the penthouse ($250) which is exceptional value!Open concept living room/bedroom with huge bathroom and jacuzzi tub. We enjoyed our rooftop sun deck being entertained by the festival below us in Plaza Artigas while the sun set over Argentina. Very Romantic💋

Our first night we noticed the bathroom sink was plugged up. We reported it the next day and were surprised when we came back after less than an hour that it had already been fixed. The room was very comfortable, excellent bed and pillows. The complimentary breakfast buffet was amazing. A great variety of fresh fruit, pastries, rolls, cereal, eggs and bacon. We loved it and will definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

- Raul (10/5): Hotel Salto - Everything was great. Service, food at the Recova café etc... Staff was amazing but we had some difficulties with the AC in our room. It seemed somebody programmed the system and the staff forgot to reset. We issued a request for a technician. He was there in no time. He indicated the system was working but after one hour of working it stopped. It was obvious it was working in cycles. It was getting late and we did not bother to call somebody else again, we just opened the window. The breeze was very good. No problem there. In the morning we reported to the front desk.
