- BIGUI (6/5): Maybe they should replace one or two bellmen outside the front door. - The hotel manager should spend more time on some employee's service quality and personal behavior. The hotel manager should spend more time on some employee's service quality and personal behavior.
- Sonnieboy (9/5): Overall, staying at DoubleTree by Hilton was a pleasant experience, thanks to the kind staff and relaxing environmen - One thing I love about staying here—the staff are incredibly kind and always ready to help. One downside—the AC wasn’t on since it’s cold outside, but the room still felt warm inside. Also, the breakfast buffet could use more variety, as the options were the same every day, which made it less enjoyable over time.

- Sui (4/5): Disappointing - Reception is professional and efficient. It was very cold during staying period in this city. There wasn't heater in restaurant during dinner and breakfast time. The foods were cold before brining to the table. Guests need to wear down clothes during for meals time. Only Chinese indication for each different food, didn't consider about foreigners.
- Emmaline (9/5): Amazing location, perfect nights sleep - Great location, amazing view, very comfortable room Nothing
- Lord (4/5): Won’t stay again - Not a lott No bar
Food not good
- Patel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (7/5): It was a lovely stay. I can recommend this hotel, and I might come back. - I liked my room! It was large and airy with a nice view and a good bathroom. The bed was comfortable and I liked that it was possible to make your own tea.
The staff was friendly, and the breakfast very good.
The location of the hotel next to the river is exelent. I expected the bar to be better. The first evening I wanted to buy my daughter a drink to celebrate, and none of the drinks in the meny was available...
But that is a minor detail.
- leesharpies (6/5): Lovely hotel but ultimately let down by its catering and hospitality of catering staff - I have recently stayed in the Double Tree Wuhu. On first impressions its a lovely hotel. Clean, Comfortable, Great location, attentive, welcoming and very helpful reception staff. But the biggest let down is the quality of the catering and hospitality of the catering team. Breakfast was fine, absolutely no complaints regarding breakfast. But, one evening we finished work late and decided to eat in the hotel. This was circa 20.15 in the evening. Basically we was told restaurant would close at 2100 but we could get drinks until 2230. So we decided to go for it. Big mistake. 1. there was very little food left. 2. What food there was left was cold, congealed and dried up. 3. All pretty tasteless and unappealing. The staff were far from obliging in cooking fresh material, ie: zero chance of getting something fresh cooked. The manager on duty was simply rude. So at 2100 we was told to finish and move to the bar area. When they say bar, I think they meant the counters. Probably the single most unappealing depressing bar Ive been to in any hotel claiming to be 4 - 5 stars. It is appalling. And whats worse is the continued rudeness of the manager when you have the audacity to ask for another drink. at 21.15. The telling off I got was incredible. What happened to the bar being open until 22.30 and the customer is king? This hotel seriously needs to improve its dining procedures and most certainly needs to make the bar more appealing and open towards customers, who at the end of the day simply wish to relax and unwind at the end of a stressful day.
- Oriol_de_Montreal (6/5): good location for runners, crap food - Rooms are ok, but the two restaurants are gloomy and the food is really bad. Forget lunch/dinner in the hotel.
The location is good, excellent for runners that can enyoy the nearby pedestrian path along the river Yangtze.
- Wenli (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff No coffee machine in the room
- Apurva (8/5): Very good -
- Kaiyou (9/5): Comfortable place for relaxing - Nice stuff and quiet place
- DorisLCY (10/5): Nice hotel in Wuhu - I was staying at DoubleTree by Hilton Wuhu for 1 night. I arrived late after work but the staff was very friendly. My room was upgraded which was very comfortable. There was a wide veriety of food for breakfast and the staff was very warm to take care of the guests. I did not have time to walk around the surroundings of the hotel which is sitting aside the river. I will stay at DoubleTree next time when I travel here definitely.
- henryb867 (10/5): Great for business travel - I have stayed here at the doubletree many times over the past year. Room is good value, breakfast is included. Location is good - close to downtown. Checkout is efficient and the fitness center is open 24 hours.
- Roving63249355391 (6/5): Good location - Good location, near the city and the garden, easy to get taxi. The breakfast have variety choices, they serve some vegetarian food in the lunch/dinner. But the bed is too soft, for those who not use to it like me will feel difficulty.
- 332dvd (10/5): Weekend Gateway - Good Location near the city center as well as being right on the Yangtze good view if the room is located on the river facing side, good size rooms with all comfort, excellent staff in Front desk and restaurant, underground parking very convenient ,yes and the cookies Amazing I bought few extra from the bar situated in the lobby
Overall a pleasant stay , will be back soon
- Seaside17341381349 (10/5): High recommend hotel - Excellent management and well-trained staffs. Especially intimate greetings to Hilton honors members! All my feelings are perfect and perfect.Special thanks to the manager Jack for taking care of me.I am looking forward to come back again.
- Gianmarco_co (8/5): very good hotel - I really appreciated my stay. Room are large and comfortable, just the carpet was not my favorite. The location is superb, close the river with view (when not raining :). Excellent breakfast, for dinner there are 2 restaurants. Probably the best option in town
- jasonmJ65ZH (10/5): Great Venue for a Wdding Celebration - I was here for a Wedding and all the arrangements by the Hotel Management were well done for a foreign guest without much Chinese language. Room was great, breakfast was OK but Club Lounge was too tight on time allowed and food and beverage supplied.
- rafa_s594 (10/5): Best in Wuhu - In my opinion the best hotel in Wuhu near to Jangcy river. Friendly personnel, speaking good in English. Room big and comfortable. Breakfast perfect with various type of food, each person will found something good for him. Minus for not fresh juice on breakfasts, and fruit as melon or watermelon with pure quality. Next time in Wuhu for sure I will take same hotel.
- 665christianf (6/5): Was better in former times - This time I stayed 4 nights a usual for work. Since 4 years I can see the service is decreasing what's a pity. Especially the breakfast isn't good at all for western requirements. No individual eggs, no marmalade... Coffee quality is so so...
The air condition can not handle the outside temperature of 28C.. After 12 hours cooling max the temperature is going down to 25... To much for a relaxed sleep. Also it is not quite at all.
Elevators during the night time... You have to wait for about to 5 minutes! Constantly pressing the "down" button...
The service staff is friendly no doubt but infrastructure is lacking.
In general it is as every hotel in China.. After 5 years you have to look for a new one...
- ariel_998476 (8/5): Great business hotel - Stayed here for 9nights fir busuness trip. Buffet dinner is great ag good price specially if you are staying at the hotel. Buffet breakfast is good. Business snacks durinb cinference is not good....comes from breakfast I think hehehe. Business lunch durinb conference is good. But they are not serving any water or drinks during the meal. You have to ask.
Room hotel is clean.
Only problem is first room is very hot and transfer to another room which is little bit cold. In short aairconditioned s bad during my stay on march 2018
- melvynlee1988 (10/5): Back in Wuhu Again... - It is a clean and quiet hotel despite it being beside the main road. Ask for views of the river although the river looks quite polluted. The front counter staff there needs to improve on their friendliness and initiative although most of them will respond politely only after asking for help several times. Book through the Hilton app for better discounts.
- YWenzel (8/5): Very friendly staff & good location - Very friendly staff and located near the city centre as well as being right on the Yangtze. In Wuhu things are generally a bit slow. So you shouldn’t be in a rush. The rooms are pleasant and the food is good. But if you travel in winter you should bring a coat to the restaurant. It is exceptionally cold as the air conditioning is shut down before and after meals never allowing the room to warm up. It is a pity that the BBC World is not available. The explanation is that the government in Wuhu does not allow it. But other hotels do offer it. Overall this is a very pleasant hotel with really helpful staff intent to accommodate the guest.
- kl109 (6/5): Once again~~ - Stayed DT Wuhu one day in 2nd week of 10/2017 and 3 days in 3rd week of 10/2017.
1. During my first stay ~ WiFi signal was very poor. I've tried everywhere included hallway. Everywhere was with one bar signal except at the lobby. Even breakfast area was bad. I made report to hotel.
2. During my second stay ~ I stayed 3 nights with 5 other friends. All the rooms were so hot. It was like 26 degrees and air condition wasn't working. (Not sure if they turned central air condition off or not) Called front desk and they brought me a fan. Yes a fan..... It was better than nothing.
3. They now don't have FB, Google and YouTube access in the room. However, at the lobby area, I was able to access.
- leig70 (6/5): normal - this hotel is normal, and my first room has no tub.breakfast and buffet is ok.check in an out is slow, some stuff is not sillful ,and need more tainning.the 18's floor has no carpet ,so it has some noise, and couldn't sleep well.
- GarckyZ (8/5): Good hotel for business stay - Short one night stay in this hotel when stopping by in the city for a business meeting. First time for me to be in this city and in fact Anhui Province!
The hotel being one of Hilton's chain of hotels, certain standards are no doubt being upheld. Due to the short stay, I didn't get to use all the facilities in the hotel except for dining in the all-day-dining for breakfast and a lunch and dinner in one of the restaurants in the hotel and of course the room. Food in general was good, service was attentive (maybe because there were only two tables?). Breakfast was good with a wide selection to choose from including western fares.
The room was quite large and well appointed with a very comfortable bed. bathroom size was adequate with a separate shower stall and toilet. However, there was a glass window separating the shower stall and the room which can be covered by a blind but may be inconvenient if someone were to share room. Hotel was quite well maintain and clean which is very important to me.
Communication might be a challenge for non-Chinese speaking guests as a few of the staffs we encountered doesn't converse well in English; especially at the dining areas. Front desk staffs fared better in this aspect but overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would not mind coming back to this property next time I am in town.
- AN_Dad176 (8/5): Better than other hotels in area - This was my 1st stay here, as I usually stay at the other western chain hotel. The room quality and comfort is really good. Bed was much softer than any other hotel I've visited in China. Walls were a little "thin" as I could hear conversations next door and from the hall. Room service was good, but some challenges with communication. Breakfast buffet was a little chaotic and not well set up. Food quality was satisfactory. I arrived at very early morning and front desk staff was a little asleep and not really friendly. I found customer service was not as good as other hotels. Wifi was free, but there was an option to pay, but not sure how much better. It did not function well with our corporate VPN. 24hr fitness center is great and nice view from the equipment.
- 276satex123 (10/5): Wow - Fantastic - Stayed here in September 17, what a fantastic hotel, check in and service outstanding. Rooms are very large with great facilities, and are immaculately clean. The breakfast service was again outstanding with a large variety of food - Chinese/Japanese/European.
Great value for a Hilton hotel, very highly recommended.
- SinophileLuton (8/5): Still a good place to stay in Wuhu - My third visit to the hotel was as good as previous ones. I have two minor gripes, one was the lack of a razor on the first day (swiftly remedied it must be said) and on check-out I was asked if I had used the minibar - it was empty! I am sure had I wanted it stocked it would have been but these small things are matters the guests shouldn't have to request. Nonetheless, it did not distract from my enjoyment.
The evening buffet dinner is very good value wit all you can eat and drink for 125 yuan and a huge selection. It would be great if the hot food could be kept hot instead of warm, though there is something for everyone, even a picky eater such as myself.
I am also happy to report that Apple and her new partner Rain are still belting out the tunes in the restaurant each night - something that banished any thought I may have had of going out at nights!
