- Y1828IRstefank (10/5): Friendly Service, Great Location, and a Comfortable Stay - We had a very pleasant stay at the ADGE Hotel in Sydney and would happily recommend it. The hotel is well located near Central Station, and the surrounding neighborhood is great for strolling, shopping, and dining. The Harbour Bridge and Opera House are also only about 10 minutes away by Uber. Our room was very nice and comfortable, and the hotel offers good value for money compared with many other options in Sydney. On our first evening, we ate at the hotel restaurant, which has a Brazilian-inspired menu, and my friend was especially impressed by the steak. At first, my friend was a little uncomfortable with the semi-transparent walls separating the bathroom and toilet from the rest of the room. However, the hotel manager resolved the issue very professionally and moved us to another room the next day at no extra charge, which we greatly appreciated. We were also very thankful to the reception staff, who kindly found a cardboard box for me when I needed one to transport a fragile artwork safely. Thanks to their help, it arrived home without any damage. Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay with friendly service, a convenient location, and good value.

- rebeccamE9313KT (6/5): Poor service - Front desk is not very friendly or efficient. No water or amenities in the room. Asked for water and it never came. The front desk erroneously charged us $400 after we checked out when our bill was already paid. Minimum 30 minute walk to main sites and restaurants are limited in the area. Across the street from the police station. Many massage parlors in the area. The cafe there is great. Beds were comfortable but the AC is temperamental. We were unable to navigate the tv for movies and such. Housekeeping was horrendous. Our room was not cleaned well and coffee was not replenished during our stay.
- wombatdavid (8/5): Reasonable experience - We had a night here and chose it for the location near Oxford street and relatively good value for Sydney. The central hotels have become so pricey. The balcony room we booked had a nice view and we could even see the sails of the opera house in the distance! The carpet is very colourful and they are trying for something different. Large room with a comfy bed and we liked the toiletries. Issues - weird room numbering… not explained well at check in and another guest had to help us work out where to go… I might stay again if the price was right.

- 839benjaminw (2/5): Bad stay. Poor service. - I stayed 3 nights in this hotel from 10 to 13 Dec. Other hotels only charge parking at the end of the stay but ADGE Hotel charges upon check-in. Upon check in, the rooms are uniquely designed with the bathroom rather huge in comparison with the bedroom. However, that is where the positives ends. 1. The bathroom tap was awkwardly placed. Housekeeping staff had switched the tap upside down. It was an easy fix but I should not have to do it myself. 2. The bathroom sink does not drain to the pipes in the wall. The pipe runs from the sink and ends at against the wall, missing the hole in the wall by a good inch. I was wondering why was the toilet floor wet from just washing hands and when I looked below, I noticed the gap. I had to move the sink closer to the wall, to prevent the waste water from entering the bedroom. Once again, I should not have to do it myself. 3. Rooms were not serviced AT all during our 3 nights stay. I had to clarify with the checkout staff if rooms were meant to be serviced daily and they said yes. When I said mine was not serviced daily, they were unapologetic. Overall, a very disappointing experience staying at this boutique hotel. Not to forget, parking is another $120 charged on top of our hotel room, a very expensive lesson that perhaps should had just stuck to traditional hotels in future.

- Travel46525 (10/5): Great Hotel - I stayed an a delux king room for 7 nights. I had stayed at the hotel in Jan 2024 and returned becuase I enjoyed the location and atmosphere of the hotel. The service from front desk to cleaning staff was quite friendly and good. The online pictures for the rooms are accurate. This hotel has a hip/chic/new age decor and vibe. It has a cafe that cooks breakfast all day and has delicious bakery items as well. There is a new restaurant also attached that serves modern brazilian dishes. That place comes alive at night with live music and people singing and dancing. The restaurant looks quite nice and the prices are reasonable. The hotel is located within a 10-15 minute walk from the museums and the Central and Museum train stations. It's in a relatively quite area, very close to the Surrey Hills restaurants and night life. It is also close to a gay male district. The area is safe, clean and relatively quite. I would return. I recommend it for adults, singles, couples, business and leisure.
- joancollins69 (8/5): Quite clean and good locale - Arriving before check in i hoped for a room, reception in a frosty tone when asked didnt acknowledge my request and stated "I can store your bags" Ok great start Went out and returned after 5pm to wait 40mins to check in as only one person on reception who after serving a walk in for bookings in 2 mths time (ummm hello internet!) Then allowed a guest to push in and go collect toilet paper closing reception Upon return the queue had grown considerably and police and ambulance arrived Reception admittedly was doing her best however no apology or an offer of free drink for delay Room as advertised some ware and tare and my booking request honoured The toilet was a challenge at at 5'10" my knees were against the wall Bed lovely as were linen Shower huge Quite and clean Housekeeping woke me at 945am Sunday which is outrageous Great location if hilly walks to CBD and all of Oxford's st delights Enjoyed the MLK Deli for breakfast better service then in house Cafe Possibly would return as aside from check in delay was a good stay
- 715travellers (10/5): Consistently Great - We always stay at the Adge when we visit Sydney. They recognise us as repeat visitors and treat us extremely well. The hotel is hip, the decor is cool and the rooms are expertly clean. There is parking available and it’s handy to lots of great restaurants. We highly recommend this hotel to all our friends visiting their children in Sydney or flying O/S, public transport is handy and you can also easily walk into town or Central. I’m looking for an excuse to go back there!

After booking through booking.com, whilst tired after a motorhome road trip from Adelaide🤬🤬😪 I realised I'd booked a single room with 3 single beds for myself, wife and 21yr old son Not a good idea. No option to cancel without losing the full payment cost. On arrival I asked if there were other options available, the staff were super helpful and were able to put us in to 2 separate rooms for only $100 Aud extra,🍾🍾 we'll worth it . The rooms are quirky but more than adequate. Double bed, fridge, on-suite shower / toilet. Massive TV with chromecast option. Free WiFi. Great location, only a short uber into the CBD of Sydney. Definitely worth a stay.

Public transportation is in the immediate vicinity, bus stop is a 3 minute walk, subway is a 12 minute walk. 1 word of caution, the walk from the subway to the hotel is partially uphill. I would definitely stay there again. Coffee machine is Nespresso and there is a small fridge. No closet but there is room for a suite case and a relatively large hanger.

- Adrian (8/5): - I really like the fact ADGE offers something a bit different to the usual beige and grey hotels you see everywhere. Location is good. In-house cafe is great too. I was upgraded to a larger room which was lovely and spacious. I think I was in the 'old part' of the building as we had proper bathrooms with a solid door rather than in-room shower pods which - based on other reviews - are see through. Depending on your privacy preferences I'd be careful when selecting the room.

The ONLY thing I would comment on is the bathroom vanity stand - the black legs are inconveniently located and I kicked my poor toe many times when using the bathroom - a small design flaw, however everything else was perfect that this can be forgiven !

- pizote67 (10/5): Stylish boutique hotel and more - Trendy hotel in Surry hills. Lot of cafes and restaurants walking distance. Five minutes walk to B333 bus stop to Bondi beach or Circular Quay. We spent here 4 nights to visit Sydney and we were very happy of our choice. We felt very safe walking from city center to the hotel at dark after dinner. Staff at reception did a great job suggesting us how to use local transports and booking for us taxi to the airport. Cafe and restaurant at ground floor for breakfast and dinner. Our huge triple room at 11th floor had a great view of the city (even Opera House at a distance).
- THERESA (8/5): Great location - Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great location for restaurants, cafes etc. Parking very dear. Rooms were a bit pokey for travellers coming from abroad with large luggage. Capsule like bathroom fun design but not very private. Enjoyed our stay. Great for a weekend away. Rooms are good value and quite clean.

- Patricia (8/5): - It is a 3 1/2 stars property as seating in room very uncomfortable as in worn out, not enough coffee pods - 3 for 2 people - milk etc, also bedding poor quality and doona too thin, i was cold and had to sleep with my coat on top of doona. But the room was very spacious and very clean and deserves 4 stars for that, and i would consider coming back for that space. I also had a decent b’fast and coffee at the coffee shop inside the hotel. Reception and staff very pleasant and helpful , 5 stars there.

My husband actually broke skin and bled the limited space in room, made it difficult not to. But other than that. The staff in the cafe were great and unfortunately we didn't realise the restaurant was associated with the hotel until we were leaving. Will definately return next time we're in Sydney.
- Becky (10/5): - We were in town for the Sydney Marathon- the hotel staff allowed us to drop our bags before check in so that we didn’t have to haul them through the race expo- that was very helpful. On Saturday evening I was having issues with an Ubereats order and the man working at the front desk was SO helpful- called the restaurant for me and had everything sorted out in just a few minutes. The hotel is right by a bus stop, so that made it very convenient, and lots of dining options around the hotel.

The central location was perfect, everything we needed was right at our doorstep. Our room (and the hotel overall) was spotless, which really added to the comfort. The cocktails were fantastic, and the food was just as impressive — every bite and sip felt like a treat. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay and we’ll definitely be back!

- David (6/5): Good location & decent room but could be better - The hotel is in a good location. Some staff are great, others can be rude and could learn some customer service skills. The housekeeping could be better as could the upkeep of the rooms and the shared hallway areas. The carpet in our room was stained as was couch and both could use a steam clean. The hallways looked like they needed a good vacuum. The window ledge in our room was wet and I'm unsure if this was just condensation or a leak. Be warned the orange glass bathroom/shower pod is see through, so if you like your privacy, this room type isn't for you.

- Kim (10/5): Long weekend stay to go to AFL match at SCG - Great service and location, close to supermarkets and restaurants and walking distance of the SCG & light rail. Really good value for money, will visit again for sure. The cleanliness of the room could have been better (some stains on the carpet & carpet looked like it needs a proper steam clean) plus I would have liked to have kept the same towel etc for the 3 days I was there to save energy & water (minimise my impact on the environment) but there weren't any options for this. However the bed, bathroom and facilities were very clean and comfortable, the room had all amenities and a loose shower door hinge was fixed straight away (many thanks) so overall was a great stay 🙂

Shower didn’t work with the shower head not able to stay on the rail without falling off and not to mention how dirty/small it was. Our door handle to the room was also broken and showing its pc chip. I emailed the hotel about all of this and they didnt take any action

- judithcQ5745JV (2/5): Appalling - Appalling hotel ,it is not a 4 star hotel ,more of a backpackers 3 star hostel ,electrical sockets hanging off the wall Breakfast in a room that was ice cold and breakfast cold ,limited choice .Scuff marks on walls ,lack of heating working,very basic accomodation,people smoking in their rooms which filtered into corridors .Leak from ceiling on the 16 th floor right beside a light socket ,bucket underneath to catch drips ,health and safety neglect .If you have booked cancel it ,I would not recommend this for anyone .A pretentious 2 star hotel if that ,absolutely disgusting .

I had an issue with AC and was kindly explained how it worked and then I tried this and had no issues. The location is so central as we walked into the city in like 15mins They have a couple of restaurants on site and the Brazilian we had dinner at was great worth a try We will be back thank you Adge mangers and staff another amazing stay

- David (10/5): - Room was good except one bedside lamp was not working. With such a large TV of a night the SAMSUNG TV logo gleams bright all night facing the bed directly. (It's like having a moving light on...) The only alternative seemed to be a blindfold or equivalent. Also with the fob card inserted, a strong overhead light is illuminated. (ie. The fob card must be removed to sleep). Only problem with the fob removed, the AC doesn't work, so temperature issues. (hot and or cold)
- Verified traveler (6/5): Renovated & compact - Rooms much smaller than previous Cambridge Hotel. Pillow was too high & hard & only found out at checkout smaller pillows were available from reception- a notice in the room would have been appreciated. Used my jumper and a towel as a pillow. View from room on second floor was of an ugly wall & pipes - a green screen would lift the outlook immeasurably.
