Upper mgmt doesn’t believe inoperative A/C and an no water pressure one morning in a 5 star property is worthy of any guest consideration. Other negative reviews also recognized this is theme.

The staff are so warm and friendly, my room (classic sea-facing) was stunning - sleeping to the sounds of the waves and smelling the fresh sea air was such treat. Location wise - cant get better - beach, shops, coffee bars, restaurants are all within walking distance. Highly recommend The Marly for a solo, family, romantic or business stay.

Shoutout to Jea and Patson for making us feel right at home instantly on arrival - their energy and positivity really stood out and set the tone for such a fun and relaxing stay! We were sad to leave and would definitely return for longer next time, a great way to round out a busy trip through South Africa chilling and enjoying the beach, views and great restaurants within the collection. The service throughout the hotel and dining venues was amazing, with really kind and happy servers who added to our experience.

На такси через паковку заехали ко входу отеля. Тут же вышли нас встречать! Подготовили номер по-раньше. Торговый центр очень милый, там немного магазинов, но можно купить разные мелочи. При отеле 5 ресторанов, везде вкусно!
• liz (10/5): Absolute perfection x - From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so at home with the friendly staff and welcome drinks. Our room (2) was just lovely with a large balcony and sunloungers overlooking the ocean. The Marley is centrally located in Camps Bay with lots of restaurants just steps away, and the roof top bar is a must for sunset drinks. I didnt think the level of service could've improved but when my husband became rather poorly and had to stay in hospital for few days the staff went out of their way to make sure I was really well looked after and if the staff are reading this, thank you from the bottom of my heart for looking after me so well, we will definitely be back. Nothing.

The staff and service were incredibly attentive and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with an amazing view over the ocean. The rooftop terrace with pool and bar is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunset. Highly recommended.

The rooms are all beautifully appointed with all the amenities you would expect from a luxury 5 star hotel. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are big and the staff warm and welcoming. They all work hard to make sure that your stay is perfect. Couldn’t ask for anywhere better to stay while in Cape Town.

• jcapri (10/5): The perfect stay in Camps Bay - Our first trip to Cape Town and The MARLY was the perfect home away from home. The management here is clearly on top of its game because the whole team operate in perfect alignment. We had a Mountain View room which was very peaceful. Breakfasts at the Bilbao Cafe were delicious - the most perfect poached eggs. The spa services were sublime. I had a QMS facial of 90 minutes. I’ve had these in Germany and Switzerland but the quality of the aesthetician, Nosi, was head and shoulders above all others. She was fully attentive for each of those 90 minutes. Even their little boutique was beautifully curated. You just cannot go wrong with this place!

This hotel was wonderful… Mark and his team go out of their way to help and assist you in whatever ways they can. Even sending me a ginger & herb tea when I wasn’t feeling well! It was immaculate and had a luxurious and chic feel about it. Not to mention wonderful towels and extremely high thread count bedding! All the restaurants attached to the hotel are all superb! and my treatment in the spa was fabulous. It is so well located in Camps Bay and within easy walking to everything. • travvvelman (10/5): great hotel just by the most famous beach in Cape Town - we have been here for second time and work again very well and warm welcomed by Hotel staff, my location is brilliant with many different. Restaurants and shops are very close to the beach, I also have a great pool area where you can look at the stars at night and overall fantastic food options. Stuff is fantastic as his breakfast.

But we cannot recommend the hotel due to very dominant noise by youngsters playing local music and dance for about 12 hours every single day (They have permission to perform right in front of the hotel.. The noise came through into to the rooms and the pool area. This is the reason we will sbsolutely not return or recommend the hotel. So unfair given the numerous positive sides of the hotel.

• 932claire (10/5): Excellent Service - What an amazing stay! The Marly manages to be right in the middle of the action while still feeling like a private retreat. We loved the variety of restaurants linked to the hotel (the breakfast at la Belle was a highlight). The rooftop pool, Baptiste, has 360-degree views of the Twelve Apostles and the ocean that are just breathtaking. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Five restaurants. Only downside is that the pool does not have any steps so fine if you are fully mobile, but not if you are not.

There are many opportunities to experience culinary highlights. The view of the ocean is breathtaking, and the hotel staff are extremely friendly, courteous, and always ready with valuable tips.

• Tanja (2/5): Excruciating Headache - Staff were very friendly, helpful The room was not soundproof at all! It was a very noisy weekend , due to irritating drum players on the sidewalk infront of the hotel and down stairs restaurants(also very noisy). These activities continued the whole weekend( Saturday and Sunday) causing excruciating headaches . This noisy room was ridiculously expensive for the 2 nights we stayed there. I appreciate Management who tried their best to make the stay as pleasent as possible, but unfortunately we were deprived of peace, silence( sound of the sea we never heard from the room due to the drum noise and tribal dancing on the sidewalk the whole weekend) and the so needed rest .

More importantly, the service was impeccable. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They even gave us Christmas presents during our stay! I loved it here and would recommend The Marly to anyone traveling to Cape Town.

Beautiful interiors and overall very good service and breakfast. Street in front is quite loud with performing groups all day long, kind of not great to listen to while sitting outside at all hours. Can also hear the noise through the sliding doors… could be worse but ideally you don’t hear anything at all with the doors slid close. Also weird entrance up the driveway ramp in the back.

The entry was thru a mall which felt the hotel might not live upto ones expectation but it was the other way around and it was a splendid hotel with personalised service and a feel of a proper boutique hotel. The staff was very nice and warm. The breakfast was great and fresh and the bakery was top notch. The beach was right across and we had a great view of the ocean and the kids room had a great view of the mountains.

We were a big family and had over 15 rooms and the staff was very accommodating. The rooms are nice with great views of the ocean and good service. Infact there were a lot of young kids in the group and since there were quiet a few, the staff was really patient with them as they were all over the place. The breakfast was great, a la carte and freshly made and in a restaurant overlooking the ocean with great views. The location is great and if I visit cape town again will stay here again for sure. Only issue is like most hotels in europe etc. the bathrooms cant be locked and that sometimes is an issue when in big groups.

• N166KMstevenk (10/5): A Perfectly Located Elegant Hotel - The accommodations were comfortable, elegant and immaculately clean. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. The view from the room and location on Camp's Bay were exceptional - with a Hop-on-Hop-off bus stopping right out side to make seeing Cape Town easy. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Marley and LaBelle retaurant!

• Faby08us (10/5): Short but sweet stay at The Marly - I had one night in between my safari focused trip to Namibia and Botswana. I arrived tired and late to the amazing site that is the Marly, you get there and you know you are in Cape Town with the mountain on one side and the sea at the other. They greeted me by name even before I got out of my car, and jumped through hoops to get me some last minute laundry service. The room was just perfect for a relaxing sleep after enjoying an amazing dinner at one of the restaurants below. I just love how at ease everyone is here. Also made time to enjoy a glass of wine at their wonderful rooftop bar and take on last sunset in.

• markdF4358EB (8/5): Relaxing Stay with Stunning Views and Service - The Marly is all about the location and position. On the plus side, the views across the bay are stunning. But for the seaview rooms, this is offset by the noise (thumping base music from restaurants below) and the cooking smells. This isn't the Marly's fault, it can't be helped, but perhaps book the mountain view rooms; these are less cost and quieter. The service was excellent as was the room quality.

The restaurant experience was special, food is over the top….all in all the stay was so fantastic, I could see designing a future trip around a stay at the Marly and then to one or more of the group’s sister hotels.
