Guest Reviews
- Samuel (10/5): - No air con
- Peter john (8/5): - I booked this at the very last minute like 2 days before,
generally the hotel is nice, staff were friendly and drinks not expensive
Nice sized room, usual twin beds
We had to go down quite a lot of stairs to get to our room, fine if your young not quite so if your not
Also the hotel is quite a way from the the sea front down a very steep hill and over some busy roads
So keep this in mind if you have mobility issues
We ended up taking a lot of taxis
Also when you get to the sea front there is a lot of steps to reach the bars and restaurants
- Mark (10/5): Neptuno review - We requested an apartment close to the ADULT pool. Which we got, very impressive sea views. Apartments are basic but always clean and comfortable. Would recommend apartment 144 to everyone.
- Ronald (8/5): Great holiday - Our room was a side room and had a lovely sea view, the balcony was a good size to sit on and get the last rays of sun.
The rooms were cleaned almost everyday and were nice and spacious.
Would definitely stay here again. The staff were all friendly, and the pool staff were so accommodating.
- Mark (10/5): Bara brith - Couldn't fault it for what we wanted and the price would stay again.
- Dean (8/5): - I booked with Neptuno for a seven night stay as I was looking for somewhere away from the noise of the main clubs and it had the option of self-catering. I paid slightly more for a superior room which offered views of the ocean and sunset.
The hotel was fairly easy to find following two buses from Tenerife South airport. The gentleman on reception was friendly and welcoming when I arrived and didn't ask for the 150 euro deposit. I was given a map and shown how to access my apartment for the week. Upon first glance, the reception and hotel was well maintained and clean. However, the following days showed that there were signs of wear and tear and general maintenance was required.
I stayed in apartment 126 and would recommend this apartment for the fantastic views. Although tidy, there were some areas less clean than others. The curtains and sofabed hadn't been cleaned for some time as was apparent by the amount of dust which was clear when closing the curtains or sitting on the sofa. The kitchen was well equipped although both the kettle and toaster had seen better days. The kettle had so much limescale around the top, the lid couldn't be opened. The toaster had a large dent in the side. There was no oven but plenty of utensils available and enough plates and cutlery for four people.
Overall there were issues with the apartment but I had a plesant and peaceful stay.
- carla (6/5): - Dated, like a maze, out the way of everything.
- Hilda (8/5): Peaceful location. - Loved the peaceful location and surroundings. Pools were lovely as was the pool bar. Very close to large Mercadona and lovely walk to town and beaches. The uphill walk back was a challenge but kept us fit. The apartment was clean but very dated. Would need a new kitchen. Beds not very comfortable
- Zachary (10/5): - I love this property because it was remote enough that you don't hear noise of other tourists walking past.
The apartment was lovely, large in space for 2 adults and 2 children. And the views of the balcony are to die for
- Daisy (10/5): - So gorgeous, lovely private feel
- Shayne (8/5): - Good value for money. My only complaint was the amount of cockroaches in the room. Had one crawl over my face and wake me up in the night. If your squeamish this hotel isn't for you
- Aiste (6/5): Not the best - Booked a room with ocean or pool view. Didn't get either.
Furniture in the room was very tired and sofa bed not really suitable for sleeping on.
Also, walls are paper thin so you can hear every conversation your neighbours have + them walking in and out of their apartments.
Pool/bar area was nice with reasonably priced drinks and food. Just a shame that both pools close at 5pm.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Sleepless nights - The property is nice and good, but the WiFi is terrible, they charge for using their car park so we had to look for free parking, you can hear noise from other rooms. The beds were very uncomfortable making too much noises while turning and needs to be changed, very uncomfortable pillows. We asked for a favour if we could stay a little longer on the day we checked out, but one of the receptionist said we have to leave at 12pm, as we were leaving the room at 12.10pm the receptionist he called us and asked us to vacate the room. We've paid over €600 for a week.
- Jorge (6/5): - Good area but very noisy
- Philip (8/5): - On a steep hill 20 minutes walk from seafront, but local bus goes by. Also easy to get cabs. Reception staff are helpful.
- ANGEL (10/5): - Perfect service
Thanks
- Graham (8/5): - This was a quiet holiday spent with staff who really do try to make the stay enjoyable. Only a couple of niggles; a few (Irish women) ignored the non reservation policy on loungers and one woman took drinking glasses to the pool and promptly broke one but didn’t report it. I had to get lifeguard to get it cleared up.
It would be nice if pool was opened earlier to benefit from the cooler sun hours.
- Balraj (4/5): - We booked sea view 2 bedroom apartment. The rooms had bad smell even after cleaning they still stink. The towels provided were of bad quality and ripped off threads coming out.
Only liked the pool and bar area. Could have stayed a better place in the same amount of money.
Do not recommend for families.
- Harpal (10/5): - Value for money, very friendly staff, nice location, a bit of an incline to walk back but taxi cheap enough if need be.
- Shelley (10/5): - Beach within walking distance , grocery store, bakery , bus stop nearby , restaurants nearby , but far enough away for evening privacy and quietness. Clean comfortable pleasant staff
- ALICIA (8/5): - Overall was good. Biggest complaint is no wifi in the room and it was broken for first few days in lobby area. My friend had to pay to use her hotspot (she has to do some some work). Wifi is expected as standard these days. I would not stay here again for this reason. They should make clear the rooms do not have wifi. The hotel is in a super congested area in Tenerife. For this plus the wifi issue I’d choose another area to stay. They have a parking garage but you better be comfortable parking 1” from a wall and another car on both sides.
- Verified traveler (6/5): True rating 7 not 8 - Standard two single bed apartment with great view. But I am slightly disappointed with wifi; the wifi is only available around the pool area and the speed is terrible. Also disappointed with the shower water, the water heater capacity can only maintain decent temperature for 10mins. So you need to finish the bath quickly.
- Linda ANN (10/5): - Nice big apt, well equipped kitchen, west facing balconies, small heated pool and large unheated pool, peaceful, lovely views. Only irritation was the flashing smoke detector light on bedroom ceiling which was hard to ignore at night. Walk back from beach was very steep, a shuttle bus would have been good
- Ashley (10/5): - Fantastic place to stay staff really helpful only problem is that its up a hill but dont be put off staying because of it taxi €5 nice and peaceful
- Danielle (8/5): - my stay was very nice and comfortable. the only things i would say is there was an annoying loud high pitched noise alot coming from the boiler in the kitchen and the gril on the microwave didnt work and smelt burning byt location was great and facilities i had a lovely massage by a lady in my apartment
- Constantin (10/5): Neptuno - Nice place, nice view, very nice peoples there.
- Alice (10/5): - Enjoy our visits. 5th time of staying.
- Adrian (10/5): - Fantastic place, like everyone has said on previous reviews its up a hill and unless you like walking or getting taxis to the beach restaurants etc this probably isnt the place for you. However if you dont let the hill put you off you will be pleasantly surprised and you cant go wrong with the hotel.
- William (8/5): - Both pools and pool area were very good.
Parking is a big issue but hotel does have some garage parking available for a fee. Handy Supermarket right opposite. Bar staff excellent and reception staff very helpful.
- Debs (10/5): February 2022 - Lovely apartment complex with friendly staff and 2 pools. The pool bar did excellent food and nithing was too much trouble.
- Alice (10/5): - We have stayed here 4 tomes now and love it.
- linda ann (6/5): - Very hard to review. Apartments excellent, location dire. Spacious apt, small heated pool (but for 2 days it wasn't heated) Lovely large unheated pool but in January too cold to swim, didn't matter as sea was very good for swimming. Neptuno is located in the sprawl of apt complexes criss crossed with roads that has spread up the mountainside. Shuttle bus wasn't running, so had very steep, tedious walk to & fro to beach, cafes etc. If shuttle bus had operated would have given higher rating.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Beautiful hotel - Lovely apartment in a beautiful hotel with balcony over the pools. Good facilities in the apartment but no AC so maybe hot in summer but can hire a fan. Very helpful staff. Hot pool wasn’t very warm but warmer than the main pool - visited in December so cooler weather. Overall a very good stay, thank you
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The heated pool was fantastic.Reception staff attitude to clients was appalling apart from one who was very helpful.
- Abs (4/5): - Property is beautiful nice place but not good for family especially family with buggy not a good ideal , sofa bed was broken , adult pool was heated but kids pool was not, even the baby pool was not heated ,the shower boiler was small so you need to take shower quick so it will be enough for others ,the shower was not enjoyable at all , good about this hotel is they have a free bus that takes you to town everyday like .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is underneath the heated swimming pool and is very quiet, it also has panoramic views of the sea.
- Maryna (4/5): Strongly not recommended! - Terrible check-in experience, they refused to check us in before 2 even though we had 9 months old and hotel was empty, we had to wait in the heat for 2 hours. Very rude receptionist who refused to give his name, said there is a law in Spain not no present its name to others. Very uncomfortable beds, not even beds but mattresses which dance on not straight floors and squeaking every time you move. Huge holes between doors and door frames, constant noise because of winds going through them. There was a sand storm one night and our room was filled with dust, sand and dirt. We asked to move us to another room but they refused, we had to clean the room our self all the time.
There is a small warm swimming pool and we planned to stay there with our baby but we were kicked out from there, since its only for adults. There's no information it on their home page about this, so if you have kids be ready to enjoy only cold one. The warm one is only for people who do not even swim, they just lay around and read books there.
Room description say there is bathrobes, bidet, coffee maker, washing machine in the room but non of it was there. Old furniture, terrible lighting, small boiler in the room, so there is no chance for 2 people to take shower. After very quick first one you need to wait for 1 hour till the water gets warm again and next one can take shower later.
Absolutely not welcoming staff, extremely child unfriendly conditions, uncomfortable outdated room.
Please, avoid
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really liked our stay here. Was a bit basic but clean. The childrens play area was a joke though! Couple of slides! Would stay again. Free Shuttle was great.
- Tom (6/5): - Sort of a Jimmy Buffet-esque hotel for older Brits on holiday. Even the heated pool was cool, the gym was lacking, a bartender was rude, but the rest of the staff was very nice.
- Mandy (10/5): - Lovely large apartment which was well equipped and very clean. Pool bar was good and supplied drinks and food, but a restaurant would have been nice. We went in February, the weather was fantastic and the complex was really quiet, which we lived
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property in very good state of condition. Check in very quick and efficient. Staff polite and helpful. Location good, although on a steep hill.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Fairly quiet. Quite a large apartment for 4 adults with balcony. Large pool although as other reviews said, it was probably colder than the sea! Never got to go in the warmer small pool as sun beds were taken. Overall good value though.
- ANGELA (4/5): basic - when your booking says superior room with robes and the staff don't know anything about it and you in a basic room paid a lot of money for this spoiled my holiday hotel.com description is way off
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent value, good location, good facilities, quiet. Looked after all our needs.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Some parts of the room were a little shabby but thats my only complaint.
For the price it was a really good deal and i would def come back again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - There is no air conditioning and the kitchen was outdated
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We liked the quiet adult only pool and the courtesy bus. Also it was close to supermarkets.
We would have liked to see some entertainment in the evenings.
- YLS (10/5): - Exactly as shown on the website - no hidden surprises. Our apartment was clean and bright and so were the surrounding outside areas. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
- Jerwood (10/5): - Friendly, helpful staff, lovely pool and poolside bar.
Clean and tidy not to over crowded
- Verified traveler (10/5): - everything staff cleanliness nothing a problem edgar was like a big brother
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Unique!! That word actually sums up property to a T .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quietness later at night, views from room, despite hill easy access to bars and restaurants.Pool clean pool bar adequate for size of pool area.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Overun with ants & cockroaches. Hard walk back from town. Needs some attention throughout. Good bar, pools reception etc. Good sized rooms & balconies. Overall ok for the money!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice pool area. Rooms good size. Change of towels and bed sheets not good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Stayed for a week with my bestie the apartment was lovely .the complex is very clean with lovely well kept gardens and the adult heated pool is amazing, all the staff are very accomdating we were very happy with everything and would not hesitate to return no wonder people return year after year .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel was great. Clean, situated in good location and was extremely happy with the free courtesy bus the hotel provided to Las Americas and Los Christianos. Saved loads of money on travelling. Weather was great.
- COLIN (10/5): - I've stayed at Neptuno before and have always been pleased with the overall experience. It can be a little quiet sometimes, but that's fine with me. Absolutely no complaints.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very clean and well kept pool area and communal areas. Good sized apartment. Bit of a walk to any restaurants or bars etc
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The complex was lovely very, clean very welcoming. The only thing that was a bit of a problem was that there was only enough hot water for one person to shower. So you had to wait about half an hour to an hour for the water to build up again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked the size of the apartments and the excellent kitchen facilities.
The bedding was disappointing as the sheets were old & thin & covers poor quality but I used the spare sheets and blankets and all was well.
Overall a great place to stay,
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Relaxed vibe. I would go again for sure. The rooms were spacious and the location nice and quiet
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Really enjoyed our stay at Neptuno. The apartments were a great size; very spacious with a good size balcony which had a drying rack which came in handy. One negative is that towels are not changed often so would recommend you bring some extra. Also our apartment had a lot of steps down to it (3 day camel ride and not as fun walking up them haha) so when booking if you have any mobility issues be sure to request ground floor. I loved that our apartment was very secluded with a super view! Would recommend :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was very pleasant, good not do anoth for you, put on a free bus service, in to the local places, as it is up hill,
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The apartment was very spacious, very friendly and helpful staff. Good holiday, will be back next year
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Really enjoyed the adult s only pool with lovely view overlooking Costa Adeje.
- Sheila (10/5): Very clean place and would recommend to family & f - We had a fabulous time in Neptuno.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Every thing was perfect staff excellent very clean
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We liked the adult quiet pool area.
The rooms are not soundproofed.
Wifi very poor, (needed for working while on holiday).
Sadly the cleaning was not good! Dirty mop wiped over middle of floor! Kerp your feet covered!
Bedding not changed during stay, although change of bedding could be found in wardrobe, ??
Receptionist was very helpful with places to explore.
No parking, costly for a week.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It's a nice hotel really enjoyed it bar staff are abit miserable .
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was Heaven and it was Hell. Lovely apartment with awesome view and great roof top pool. Spoilt by Manager's inability to deal with two guests who caused havoc on several nights (fighting, swearing, screaming, throwing furniture around, kicking doors, playing loud music until 4.00am). Told us by law he wasn't allowed to evict them! WHAT!! Lots of guests complained to him.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The outside heated pool for adults only was very good. It was so peaceful and relaxing with no loud music blaring or children running around.
We would have liked to see a better restaurant as there was only the pool bar which did meals, but they were limited and only had outside eating.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The view from our balcony was beautiful . Water in the shower would occasionally go cold but overall, the apartment was great, lots of space.
- Gillian (10/5): Good situation - Spacious apartments and very friendly staff. Good value for money and would definitely go back.
- Jean (8/5): Hotel Neptuno - First night wasn’t to good as I was in a room that didn’t look what it was meant to be with no oven and a small tv but when I complained they moved me straight away and the room was much better with fans, bigger Tele and an oven. The staff are very friendly and would stop their again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value for money - Booked two bed apartment for family of four (children 11&13) - spacious rooms, kitchen fairly basic but small fridge, kettle & perfectly adequate for our needs as we had no intention of cooking! Supermarkets across the road to buy cereal, milk etc. Lovely danish bakery few hundred yards away worth a visit. Swimming pool nice & clean - plenty of sun beds. I'd read reviews about the steep walk back up from the beach. It wasn't too bad for us & we did it most days. There is a free bus service to & from beach & other areas. We had a car to tour around a bit - apartments have parking garage for small fee to save the hassle of finding free parking on the street outside. There are no noisy bars or restaurants nearby so we found the apartments nice & quiet. Small poolside snack bar with happy hour twice a day, cooked breakfast last day was good but other food we ate at lunchtimes fairly basic. Some good restaurants within easy walk - we just looked on Trip Adviser. Siam waterpark was fab, drove up Mount Teide which was great views - husband played golf a couple of times. All in all a lovely break away from grey & wet England to some decent sunshine and much needed R&R!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay here. The new heated pool is a bonus. The rooms were spacious, well cleaned, comfy beds, huge wardrobes.Views from the balcony were tremendous.
- Yvette (10/5): Great stay at the Neptuno - We had a lovely stay at the Neptuno, the hotel was very clean and the pool area is beautiful. We will definitely be back.
- Keith (8/5): Nice apartments - Apartments nice not close to beach up a hill transport provided but taxis cheap shop across the road you could just stay round the pool allike day
- lesley (4/5): Good location - The hotel condition is generally poor. Facilities were not as advertised, no indoor pool and the heated pool was broken throughout our stay. Food was limited and uninteresting. The gym was restricted to a couple of items. There were additional payments for use of gym, safe, TV etc. Most difficult was the hot water supply which was poor, for four adults sharing a two room apartment there was one bathroom with only enough hot water for one quick shower. We had to stagger showering throughout the day!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place - We enjoyed our stay, however, there’s a couple of things that could be improved before we would return.
We had a superior apartment, the size was fantastic. But. It’s in a poor dated condition, and not what I’d consider superior. The interior was very brown, some of the furniture was in a poor condition. Damaged, broken kitchen furniture.
There was no oven in the self catering apartment, just a microwave and hob.
New towels were provided every couple of days. However. They’re thin brown towels, and a couple of times, even tho they’re clean, they don’t smell nice. Sometimes we opted for a drip dry!
Top tip, go to the adults only pool! There are the better sun beds, and the view is fab! However, pool is not heated as advertised.
At the other pool is the bar, we had a snack here on just one occasion, but would recommend the club sandwich, it was lovely!
The Hill is doable, we would always walk down, and a couple occasions walked back. But the taxis are cheap enough, so don’t be put off by the hill.
Overall I think it’s probably a good hotel for its price bracket, it’s extremely quiet, but I guess that depends on your neighbours, as the walls are thin. There was some noise coming over from Laguna Park 2 in the early evening. But thru the night there was nothing, not even a refuse collection was heard... which is very unusual in Tenerife!
- Elaine (10/5): Nice clean apartment. Very spacious.
- Lovely clean, spacious apartment.
would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to all.
Pool area etc. very clean and had nice compact feel.
Reception staff were pleasant and helpful one girl in food hut not so, she was quite sharp and rude on the only two occasions that I ordered food.
- miriam (8/5): nice hotel - have just returned from our 16th visit and look forward to many more
- robert (10/5): exellent clean hotel with perfect staff - this hotel is perfect if u just want to chill out without the hustle and bustle of trafic and noise up a hill a bit but within five mins walk to centre of town the staff cant do enough for you fab poolside bar football or entertainment for you clean homley rooms perfect home from home but with the sun stay here or miss out on a fab break
- Karlo (10/5): Best - Amazing place, i will definitely comeback, perfect, lovely hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good value, great location, poor service - Good value for the money (under $90 per night during a busy week). Location is quite good (convenient access to beaches, shops and restaurants). Parking spaces nearby can be hard to find. Room condition acceptable, but not great. Service needs improvement (essentially, lots of small annoying things-towels are changed every 3 days, there is no room cleaning on Thu and Sun, there was no cork-screw in the room and service desk didn't have one, the remote did not work - the service seems to have gotten worse compared to a year ago).
- Cary (8/5): Walk from coach not acceptable - My hotel was last on the run took over 1 hour to transfer so after a 4.5 hour flight then over 1 hour transfer I was then told to walk along the street in the heat i am exhausted from the travel at no time prior was I told this was to happen this is a service you pay for all other guests are taken right to their hotel quite frankly its an outrage so no I would not recomend this hotel because of this reason
- brad (10/5): Fab hotel....all staff friendly - Second visit to this hotel and just as pleasing as the 1st.
- Julie (8/5): Amazing hotel with wonderful view - This hotel was beyond my expectations! I really enjoyed our stay there. The room was quite spacious and was looking exactly the same as on the pictures. It's true that the hotel is located on a hill but that's why you have this splendid view, so don't complain about the walking.
I don't know what detergents/ sprays they use but the smell in the room was amazing! The staff was so lovely, friendly and helpful at all time. At nights there was a receptionist called Jorge who didn't speak English but don't be fooled by that, he was the most amazing person ever and before we went to our room we always went to reception just to see him.
The only thing I didn't like was that there is no internet in the rooms and you have internet only at the pool and reception which was rubbish anyway.
But that was not the most important thing! I highly recommend the place and would go there again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very bad experience and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone
- Vicky (10/5): good holiday - excellent value for money
- Niamh (10/5): Great holiday - Lovely views. Rooms well equipped. Pool area lovely. Food in pool bar was grand. There is a steep walk up to the hotel from town but taxis are cheap. Would definitely recommend Neptuno.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay - Very nice hotel
- Kenny (6/5): Nice hotel - A luvly hotel in a nice area but not close to beach or bars and restaraunts had to get taxi at nite if we wanted to go out but hotel has a free bus service on throu the day but stops at 6pm hotel bar is very quiet at nite its ok if thats wht you like
- francsico (8/5): Good aparthotel near Costa Adeje beaches - Nice place. Towels changed every three days for longer stays. While there is WiFi, it is limited to pool and reception area. none at all in room. in other words no Roku or other streaming in room... ;)
Likewise, while it lists parking as an amenity, there are only a couple. parking is limited to street and nearby shopping center. that is if you want to avoid a ticket/tow.
- teresa (8/5): - We spent 4 weeks here and enjoyed our stay ,there is a hill going up to apt but the courtesy bus was great to get you up and down to beach , lots of steps at complex so maybe not that suitable for buggies and for older people . Overall we enjoyed it .
Of
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cheap and cheerful - Reception staff ok but don't go out if their way to help and inform I disposed of 3 cockroaches during the week on the room. Terrible smell of cat spray from several stray cats around the outside areas. To fuzzy and no worlong remote. Fridge broken ice door and drinks side shelf. But not too many people at the time of year. Good cafe nice pools. Ok area out of the bustle but up a hill. Would go again for the price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good - Was nice experience, staffs are ready to help when needed.
- Kimberly (6/5): Clean hotel - Very high hill to get to the room and reception though quick are not very friendly.
We loved our stay but wouldn't stay here again simply because of the hill walk each time.
- paul (8/5): Going back next year - Great place, spacious friendly, great bus service to beaches and other resorts.
- Thomas (8/5): hilly but worth the climb! - Loved it here. We had a lovely room with great view. It was very clean and staff were very pleasant. The hill is a killer and there are lots of steps around the building but there is a free bus and good taxi service available for about 4euro. Nice pool and bar area.
