• Magis (9/5): I would recommend - Everything was well organized with a full kitchen. Nice outside space, a nice traditional Japanese house. A bit far from the center but the guesthouse owner was extremely helpful and offered to take us to the station

• SYLVIE (9/5): - Chambre grande et confortable. Au calme et bien éclairée. Tout est très propre. Sanitaires communs également. Une grande cuisine bien équipée permet de déjeuner où prendre ses repas tranquillement. Le plus : la terrasse sous la tonnelle et la guitare à disposition ! Parking gratuit pour la voiture. Un peu éloigné du centre (2km) mais ça vaut vraiment le coup. On y est retourné à notre deuxième passage dans la ville

• Berta (10/5): - Tranquil i net. El propietari fa que estiguis molt comode i ets sentis acollida. Bones intal·lacions wc. Zones comuns per llegir, socialitzar i trucar. Area tranquil·la i prop de la naturalesa. Cada matí te servei de llançadora a l’estació de Takayama (l’hostal queda a 20-30 min a peu). És el propi propietari qui et porta. Em tornaria a quedar aquí sense pensar-ho!

• Sarah (10/5): Gerne wieder! - War wirklich toll da. Es gab eine ganze Küchenausstattungen , so dass man hätte gut kochen können. Die meisten Geräte hatten auch eine Englische Übersetzung. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und auch schön weich. Es gab auch eine gute Ablage für kleinere Gegenstände auf der man super Sachen abstellen konnte. In dem Schlafsaal gibt es auch noch einen Tisch mit Stühlen und sonst befindet sich auch draußen beim Flur ein Tisch mit zwei kleinen Sofas. Die Toiletten sind schön sauber gehalten und werden auch jeden morgen wohl einmal geputzt. Es gibt bei den Frauen eine gute Ablage für Produkte, was sehr nützlich war. Das Personal war wirklich sehr herzlich und auch wenn ein wenig die Sprachbarriere da war mit Englisch, haben sie wirklich ihr bestes gegeben und am Ende hat man sich verstanden. Auch super lieb war einer vom Personal der meinen Koffer hochgetragen hat und dann einer wieder runter getragen hat. Wirklich super lieb! Das einzige Problem, was aber bei älteren Häusern immer so etwas das Problem ist, ist dass es beim Abend die Zimmer etwas runter kühlen. Zum Glück gibt es reichlich Decken und eine Klimaanlage, weswegen es nicht so schlimm ist.

• Ann (8/5): - Nice facility with a beautiful view and good parking. Reasonable prices and walking distance to Hida Folk Village. Good kitchen and outdoor dining area. Privacy curtains on the bunks. The floor and bunks wiggle when people walk, so it's easy to get woken up. Nonetheless, it's a hostel, so I don't expect it to be perfect. Overall I'd recommend the place.
• Philippa (10/5): Quiet, comfortable, amazing views - Stunning views, hot water, comfy beds, towels, bicycle hire, morning shuttles to train station. The buses stop about 4.30pm and it 25 mins walk from the station, I didn’t mind, and taxis are cheap anyway, but just to be aware of so you get a bus before they stop. But it’s because it’s further out you get the amazing views!
• claudia (8/5): Bergpanorama!! Wohltuend in der Natur - Mountain Museum nebenan - Das guest house ist ein echtes! So wie früher. Wunderbar Simpel , wirklich einfach, aber alles da. Die große Wohnküche mit 2 Tischen und einem Buller-Ofen lädt zum verweilen und kennenlernen ein. Zum Folk Museum 5 min zu Fuß. Super Essen im IGREC (little Bear Restaurant) 3 min Nichts eigentlich, es ist halt eine einfache Unterkunft Habe aber hervorragend geschlafen (es gibt jede Menge Decken)
• Nicole (9/5): excellent séjour, hôte accueillant, excellent rapport qualité/prix - Propriétaire accueillant, d'une grande gentillesse, très arrangeant, environnement calme, à l'extérieur de Takayama mais accessible à pied et seulement à 10 min à pied du village de Hida No Sato. Guesthouse chaleureux, propreté impeccable, lits confortables, espace cuisine très agréable.

• Paula (9/5): Nice Hostel style stay in a traditional, welcoming space. - Traditional style lodge. Very fluffy duvet!! Woodstove in the kitchen. The shuttle service in the morning before buses run, was very nice. Very welcoming owners. Mattress was quite hard, but amazing duvet. I bit of a walk from town with limited buses.
• BenJoy (8/5): - The host was so kind, he even provides his own "shuttle-service" to the train station each morning. Otherwise, it is a nice, quiet Hostel, which has everything you need. While there were not many people there when I was staying, I can imagine this being a good place to meet people while traveling. It is bit far off from the train station and busses only drive until early evening. But if you are ready and able to walk a bit it is not a problem.

Ontzettende lieve hosts die mijn e-reader naar mij verzonden hebben, omdat ik deze per ongeluk had laten liggen. Ik raad deze guest house iedereen aan! -

Le personnel est très gentil, l'hôte nous a donné toutes les informations nécessaires pour les transports en commun environnants, et il nous a également donné une réduction pour la visite du village Hida no Sato juste à côté!

• Anneke (8/5): Cozy stay - Room was quiet and cosy, and friendly staff who made sure we got a discount voucher for Hida Museum. They have 4 free shuttle rides in the morning to the bus station too which is great and saves a long walk! Also provides a map with some good recommendations. It was a bit far from the main Takayama centre (20 minute walk) but close to the magical Hida Historic Village. Beds were quite hard and shower was down stairs which was a bit annoying!

Комфортный номер, на первом этаже есть стиральная и сушильная машины и душевые кабинки. Хозяин осуществляет бесплатный трансфер до вокзала при выезде из отеля. Понравились приветственные вкусняшки и уютная кухня с камином. платные полотенца, приехали в 9 вечера, полотенец уже не было в наличии, а регистрационная стойка как раз до 9 вечера и работает
• Roy (10/5): Great stay in a cozy and clean hostel with friendly staff! - Friendly staff, comfortable beds, nice and clean showers, free lockers for valuables, seating area for relaxing, fending machine in the lobby for refreshments :) They even offer a free shuttle bus to the station early in the morning! We used it to get to Kamikochi valley early, and we had a great day hike there! Everything was excellent.

• Mya (10/5): Fun, cosy and clean! - Really cosy! Shampoo, conditioner and body wash included but bath towels are 100¥ to rent, also very cheap bike rentals at 800¥ for 12h! Super nice and polite workers, they also try their best to speak English knowing that we’re foreigners. Changed the bin regularly, once a day. Everything was always clean, women’s bathroom was amazing!! Super comfortable bed, AC and heater/fan has English signs to make it easier for use. Nice area away from the main city, but up a hill and since it’s far from the city, it’s a bit tedious to get to and from. In the morning, they have a free shuttle (mini van driven by the workers!) every 45 minutes from 7:15 to 9:30 (AM) which is really appreciated 🤗 On a hill…that’s it! Not really a good place if you’re shy with other people, since it’s a guest house.

• Lucia (10/5): - Very central, facilities were all good and clean. The room had AC, a kerosene heater AND heated blankets (which were an absolute godsend in this cold!!) Had a really good, comfortable stay, thank you! The lock and key of the room was a little flimsy.

• David (10/5): Your traditional Japanese home away from home! - The staff are so kind. They make you feel welcomed like family right away. Also a very social environment — the best type of social wherein everybody just gathers together at the end of the day to share stories. The space is beautiful and designed to feel like a traditional Japanese home. It was especially great to be there in the winter, because everything felt very cozy. It was also the perfect home base to see the Snow Monkeys, because it was a situated right on the super cute train line that takes you to/from Nagano and the monkeys. Nothing!
