- Kris (10/5): - Amazing gem hidden in the country. Very comfortable rooms, relaxing, fun atmosphere in restaurants and bar with delicious food. We weren’t traveling with children, but there were amazing play areas, indoor and outdoor for children.
- Anthony (8/5): Not as expected. - Arrived and stood at the bar whilst 5 members of staff completely ignored us, even though it was obvious we were checking in. Collecting glasses and chatting was far more important. Internet was useless, neither option worked. The room was in the eaves and with two 6' + persons, not much fun

Spent 1 night, cosy room, comfy bed & pillows, good over-bath shower, lovely room, with the all imprtant kettle & teabags! Had dinner & pud (lovely) lovely pub gardens, loads of parking, right at the end of a lane, so quiet. Service was EXCELLENT! Spent all night talking to the lovely bar staff - (and they were genuinely lovely) and one of their regulars 'Aled' 😃 Finished the stay with a full cooked breakfast, again, service was excellent. If you want a nice, friendly, relaxed stay...this is the place ❤️

- Jason (4/5): - Lovely staff great location. Faults no grab rail in the bath to use the shower was dangerous and slippery. Accident waiting to happen. After a night out in Cardiff with 30 degree temperatures came back to find the radiator next to our bed and the towel rail both on full heat. No sleep all night as we suffered in extreme heat. No discount or good will gesture offered or provided All of which ruined our experience unfortunately. Food prices very high but again couldn’t fault the staff but not the stay we anticipated.
- Dawn (10/5): - Lovely room really clean with dual showr and a bath! warm welcome on early arrival. Great breakfast. Ample parking. View fron our window.was a field with sheep grazing. Would highly reccomend if you want a quiet retreat thats close to Barry Island and Cardiff.

- Alan (8/5): Friendly, keen and efficient! - A lovely little out of the way hotel with plenty of parking. Staff are super friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Food was delicious, all locally sourced and even the locals were friendly. Recommend and would stay again. Would have been a 5* review but I couldn't get on the room wifi with any of my devices due to the Stampede client they used, but the staff even tried to help with this. Had to use the slower bar wifi instead.

Food in the pub itself was really nice and the service was very attentive. Appreciated the flexibility shown on a slightly early breakfast on the Sunday.

There is a very large garden and a great play area for the young ones. The staff where amazing they could not do enough for us. Maisey was fantastic and Matt was so tentative and brilliant. Thanks to the whole team.

Room 7, lovely little room, cosy with front facing view. Only Issue was there was quite a bit of dust build up on coat holder, lamp etc. Apart from this room was lovely, not dirty in the slightest. Breakfast was lovely, we just booked in the night before. Did exactly what we needed it to. Staff were brilliant. Would We stay again? Yes.

Only minor comments really, the pillows were not very good and despite an excellent Full Welsh breakfast a nice touch would to have some locally produced sausages rather than bog standard ones. Also some better quality bread for the toast would only add to the overall positive impression.

- Michelle (6/5): Needs a lot of improving - This isnt up to par for a 4 star. On arrival the greeting wasn’t informative or helpful, I found myself asking a few questions such as dining times, details for WiFi & breakfast. The toilet was soiled and covered over with toilet duck. The room was full of midges which kept me awake throughout the night. The room was dusty and dirty. The ceiling alves were so low by tea/coffee making facilities and in the bathroom it was hazardous. There was no bathroom mat therefore another hazard when getting out of the shower (after already bending your head to avoid banging it to get in and out of bath). The staff were polite enough at dinner time and especially friendly lady at breakfast. You aren’t presented with a breakfast menu, just a ‘what would you like, we can pretty much do anything you normally for breakfast’. At a push I would say this was a 3 star. Wouldn’t return.

- Joe (8/5): Nice hotel; good breakfast and welcoming team! - Wasn't sure where to go upon arrival; there was no reception and we wondered a little at first. When I mentioned our name, the man welcomed us and showed us to the room. The room was clean and well equipped. It was very hot this weekend and the lack of air conditioning was apparent making for a hard sleep. We were provided with a fan; I had requested for another fan to be brought up or the 2nd window to be unlocked but this did not happen. We were in Wales for a family event so didn't get to try the evening food menu (which looked delicious). Our bed's mattress was too soft for our liking so sleeping was difficult. Breakfast in the morning was great; no complaints and we had a good feed before hitting the road. I would certainly go back there with my family if nothing else to try the food.

Meant to come with seasonal veg but not sure frozen peas & tasteless carrot slices count, potatoes al dente to say the least. Asked for 2 course meal deal but could only wait for the main but still overcharged me for 2nd course on check out. Guy behind the bar who i assume was the owner was very unwelcoming & on occasion quite rude. Sorry wont be staying again in its current situation, oh no phone service as well in case it matters to you

- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet and charming Country Inn - Stayed here for only one night (3rd December) and found this place brilliant! The staff were really friendly and the choice and quality of food was exceptional. We weren't sure whether to stay for an evening meal but glad we did! During the evening, there were some Christmas party bookings with a live DJ who was entertaining. The management made sure we were happy with the noise at the Inn and contacted us before our arrival to let us know. The additional entertainment added to the enjoyment! The newly refurbished rooms are done out to an extremely high standard and to top the stay - freshly cooked to order breakfast. This Inn is located in a small rural village in the Vale of Glamorgan with lots of character - not one for those that are looking for activity outside the place - we were looking for a quiet spot, so suited our needs! Would highly recommend and will definitely come back soon :-)
