• Bart (9/5): Super duikresort - Het duikresort ziet eruit om door een ringetje te halen . De tuin en de huisjes zijn heel goed onderhouden. Elke dag zijn ze bezig met de tuin en dat het er super mooi uitziet. De huisjes zijn ruim en alles is aanwezig . We hadden uitzicht op het zwembad en de zee en de duikschool. De zwembaden zijn mooi . Het personeel is super vriendelijk. Als je hier voor het duiken komt, zit je helemaal goed. Het klopt allemaal en is echt goed geregeld . Het ontbijt kan echt beter . Er is elke dag een ander “ thema’ maar het aanbod is minimaal en soms niet echt lekker. Als het resort vol is , is het ‘s avonds te druk en lang wachten .

• Antoine (8/5): Great hotel. Disapointing dive shop. - Nice location. Beach front. Great land setting. Nice restaurant, bar and pools. Great service. Solid 10 on 10 for this part ! The house dive shop is underweling. Dives/equipment is 35% more expensive than others in the area. This would be acceptable for a superior experience, but it is not. More people on the boat, no fruit snacks in between dives, no lunch on the full day Apo island outing, credit card payment in USD at a 4% exchange rate on the Peso, Marine fees not included. Mike’s next door has all this included – and for a much lower price.
• Marc (8/5): Beautifully disappointed. - One of the most beautiful resort I've stayed at on my ling trip. Beautiful grounds very peaceful beach. Very accommodating staff. I went there for a day trip to Apo Island. However, since it was a dive resort, they did not accommodate people who just wanted to visit the island for the day. They referred me to another company, not too far from the hotel. I was told I had to book it directly through the company and they would only accept cash which amounted to over $200. The price surprise me very much however I was very interested in taking the trip so I went to a local bank to get cash and was unable to withdraw enough money to go. Extremely disappointing! So if you're going to dive, it's fantastic if you're going to go to Apo Island go somewhere else.

• Thomas (7/5): n sehr gepflegtes und freundliches Tauchresort mit tollem Personal und guten Spa-Angeboten – kleine Abstriche gibt es be - Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und sauber, direkt am Meer gelegen und bietet eine entspannte Atmosphäre. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das außergewöhnlich freundliche und aufmerksame Personal – man fühlt sich wirklich willkommen. Das Essen im Restaurant war durchweg gut und der Spa-Bereich mit den Massagen ist absolut empfehlenswert. Für Taucher ist das Resort zudem sehr gut organisiert und professionell. Das Frühstück war insgesamt eher durchschnittlich und könnte etwas mehr Auswahl oder Frische bieten. Außerdem hatte ich den Eindruck, dass einige größere Stammgastgruppen teilweise sehr viel Aufmerksamkeit auf sich ziehen. So war beispielsweise ein Bootsausflug nach Apo Island exklusiv für eine große Gruppe reserviert, was für andere Gäste etwas unflexibel wirken kann.

• PLecaro (10/5): High quality, peaceful and intimate resort - with an excellent dive center - We had a perfect stay in Pura Vida Beach and Dive Resort. The hotel is really pleasant, well decorated, perfectly maintained (special mention to the gardeners who keep the gardens and alleys neat and flowery) and all the staff provides a great service, always with a smile. We stayed in a Family room, combinaison of two adjacent rooms with two terrasses, which, though a bit small, fitted our needs. Excellent breakfast, proposing quality and fresh meals, with some variations everyday. Great catering and cocktails. And the cherry on the cake is definitely the dive center. We've never enjoyed such a great service on the boat and in the dive center to help us get equipped. The dive masters are very professional, providing good guidance in a relax atmosphere - special kudos to the dive masters Elina and Damron. Elina took care of the Junior Open Water certification for our 11 years old son, and he couldn't have had a better training and peaceful introduction to the magical world of diving. Elina is a perfect teacher, really patient and she handed our son all the keys to diving serenely. I'll remember the Sea Explorers' motto chanted by the great dive masters before each dive : "Dive with a smile" ! Nothing, everything was perfect !

• Klaus (8/5): Sehr schönes Resort, besonders für Taucher - Sehr gutes Essen, sehr sauber Zimmer. Wir hatten einen Bambus Bungalow, der war etwas hellhörig. Aber wir waren trotzdem sehr zufrieden. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Tauchbasis ist spitzenmäßig. Unser Tauchguide Jude hat uns sehr verwöhnt. Das Frühstück gibt es in Buffet form. Die Essensauswahl für das Mittagsessen und Abendessen ist groß (von Cordon Bleu bis Asiatisch gibt es alles). Die Preise sind ein bisschen höher als in anderen Resorts, aber für deutsche Verhältnisse vollkommen okay. Wir können das Pura Vida für Taucher sehr empfehlen War alles Bestens. Nur noch ein Hinweis: Bein einchecken hat man uns darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass es verboten ist extern gekaufte Speisen und Getränke mit ins Resort mitzunehmen.

Déjeuners corrects sans plus, et les repas ne sont pas au niveau du reste de l’établissement : c’est dommage car sinon ce serait très bien.

• Catherine (7/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and attended to our daily needs. Our rooms were kept clean and ord - Cleanliness and friendliness of staff. Valentine’s Day dinner was a disappointment. Management needs to improve the service for a large number of reservations. Staff were unable to cope with the needs of the guests. We waited for an hour and a half for our food to be served and even worse it was cold that we couldn’t eat it. Steaks and the rest of the food were wasted.

Der Lärm war unbeschreiblich sogar bis in den späten Abend..Es war so schlimm, dass wir den letzten Tag schon um 5 Uhr morgens ausgecheckt haben. Die Suite hatte ein Whirlpool, das aber schon kaputt war, genauso wie die die Armaturen, die schon in die Jahre gekommen sind.

Het enige wat ik kan bedenken is dat de houten hutjes erg gehorig zijn. Er kwamen een nacht om 00:00 gasten aan naast ons. Het leek wel of ze in ons huisje stonden en maakten veel herrie. Opzich kan Pura Vida daar ‘niks’ aan doen maar misschien even melden als je laat arriveert je even aan de andere gasten denkt.

The beach is just a few meters from the room (be aware, the sand is not white,but black and there are many stones).Very near to the main street where you can buy anything, have great massage or find a few good restaurants. Little bit older bamboo houses,where you can hear nearly everything from the houses next to you. This can be annoying.

• Sascha (9/5): Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt - Schönes Resort mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Wir hatten ein wunderbares Bambus Bungalow, das Resort bietet sämtlichen Komfort den man sich wünscht. Gute Küche, ein Pool, Liegestühle, eine gemütliche Bar und ein Spa zum enstpannen. Tauchcenter haben wir diesmal nicht genutzt. Die Erfahrungen aus dem letzten Jahr waren aber hervorragend. Wer einen wunderbaren weissen Sandstrand erwartet, wird dort nicht fündig. Rund ums Resort ist der Strand auch sauber. Geht man aber etwas weiter, wird man recht schnell auf Plastikmüll stossen. Dafür kann das Resort natrülich nichts, schade ist es aber trotzdem.

The buffet breakfast was lovely with a different theme everyday. The resort is a short walk to a marine sanctuary that had some of the best snorkeling we've done in the Philippines. Highly recommended this resort. Wonderful helpful staff as well.

The hotel has a casual, "jungley" feel and the grounds and hotel were maintained beautifully. My room was very nice with plenty of A/C. Lots of helpful, eager-to-please staff in the hotel and scuba center--shout-out to Erwin for being so patient with this out-of-practice diver. Breakfast buffets were good and the other meals were fine. I'd definitely return.

Our daughter and her family were allowed to visit us and eat in the restaurant if they had wished, but weren't allowed to use the pool unless they paid 500 pesos each. That is a ridiculous amount of money to ask for use of a pool!

We arrived sick, and housekeeping staff could not have been more supportive and accommodating of our requests. Will definitely stay again! A little hard to find from the main road

• silverdiver13 (8/5): Definitely a very good choice to spend your holidays in Dauin. - It's a very nice place to spend your diving holidays. The room was spacious and the staff very friendly. There is a restaurant which is ok, but there are also many nice options just outside with a huge variety and a local touch. Breakfast is not one of my favourites but they will be helpful to find something you like. Also: for my taste there is a bit too much of the Swiss Theme around. I love the dive bar and also the amount of frangipani trees you find all over. Definitely a very good choice to spend your holidays in Dauin.

• John (4/5): - Not a 4/5 star resort. This resort is fine, but has neither the facility nor the staff to be considered four or five stars. As such, it is overpriced. Pros: Location is beautiful and the grounds are well tended. The food, though extremely limited, is good. The staff are gracious. Cons: Meager breakfast options with no a la carte menu, limited dinner menu and you must order before 5p. No room service. No pool-side service. No 24hr service. Running water failed twice during my 3-day visit (zero water pressure to the entire facility). Pool towels not stocked or refreshed. Architecture is motel-style with public walkway and entrance outside of the window, so you have to choose between privacy and daylight. Older, dark decide and fixtures not meeting the high standards of a 4-star property.
• Lianqing (10/5): A perfect resort for vacation, in particular scuba divers - This resort provides everything a guest needs for vocation and diving. The staff is super friendly and the environment is beautiful: bungalows, trees, lawn, and swimming pool. The fitness center and the restaurant are my favorite. The fitness center is spacious and has nearly all the equipments a professional gym offers. The restaurant offers both delicious Philippine and international cuisines at reasonable price. A review cannot be complete without mentioning the sea explorers, a PADI five star diving center located inside the resort. Many thanks to dive master Damron for his patient and professional instructions. Attending the scuba diving course at sea explorers is an unforgotten experience for me. The restaurant is open so I have got many mosquito (or some insects like that) bites at the first night when I wear shorts. I have to wear trousers and shirt thereafter to protect me from the bites. The resort should give warnings to the guests upon their check-in. I have got this kind of warning at Nacpan Beach resort. Next, there are gaps in the window edges of the bungalow so I have to dim the room at night so that insects won’t try to fly into the room. My first night is ruined by a mosquito and I have to ask for the mosquito net to be put up in the room and I am not harassed by mosquitoes in the following nights.

• Jeroen (10/5): Amazing - This place was so pretty, really loved it. The staff is super friendly and the food is really good at the restaurant. I can also recommend the diving school located at the resort, it was also great. I hope we will be staying at this place again in the future. I could not think of anything.
