Ammar (10/5): - We travel a lot, Germany was not necessarily the easiest to find small properties with reasonable prices. Many businesses had intentionally inflated their rates because of Oktoberfest. As fun and festive Oktoberfest is to experience, the event is located in a large outside space that you need to find your way to, and navigate through thousands of festival goers and probably get discouraged from paying for overpriced food and beer, especially when it’s next to impossible to enter a bier garten. Despite all that, Design-Hotel JAMS was a property worth the time researching. Barely a 10 walk from the subway, barely a 15 minute walk to Altstadt… the hotel sits on an arm of a circle that you can walk an entire 360 degrees and back to the hotel with endless things to admire, appreciate, dine, and enjoy and realize you may not even need transportation if you take your time to stroll through this historic beautiful part of the city. The hotel was all around cute, clean, and the staff “uber” friendly as well as friendly. The quality put into the hotel from the rooms to the restaurant is mentally satisfying which is why we prefer to research boutique hotels versus large properties where we find we are just another reservation. The breakfast was hand crafted from the endless coffee options, to the cheeses, cured meats, breads, and individually made omelettes. If we find our way ever back to Munich, JAMS is a hotel we’d be happy to spend time at again. Thank you team at JAMS!
Ovidiu (10/5): A very "Jazzy" hotel - We were very welcomed to the hotel. The staff staid overtime to help us park the car and guide us to the room. IT is a relatively small and quiet hotel close to the park. I believe will go there often.

Jørgen Lund (10/5): Jams Hotel - München - Very nice and different hotel in the center of München - very easy to reach by public transportation from MUC Airport - very kind and helpful staff - highly recommended if you want something different - in a good way.
Michelle (8/5): - We really liked this hotel. The decor was cool, the rooms were comfortable and the front desk staff was excellent. The only negative I can say about this property concerns the bar /breakfast service area. We went in for a drink at the bar one evening and there was only 1 bartender to service the entire room (dinner & bar service). He was friendly but overwhelmed and the service ended up being slow. He was very apologetic. We checked out early on a Saturday morning (before breakfast was to be served). The front desk clerk suggested that we could grab a coffee from the bar & maybe a muffin to eat before we left … we went in to the bar/restaurant and the staff working there was very irritated with us for coming in and wasn’t interested in serving us. She never “warmed up” to us, even after the Front Desk Clerk came in to talk to her in our before. Overall, I would recommend this hotel & would return but likely wouldn’t go in to the bar / restaurant.

Geoffrey (10/5): Excellent hotel that is a fun place to be. - The JAMS hotel is a great find and i will continue to stay thete due to it's excellent staff, great breakfast, funky, fun atmosphere, and proximity to a major SBAHN. I must say this boutique hotel hits a 5star on everything and once again the staff are the bes- bar none.
Abigail (10/5): - I LOVED staying at this hotel. We were lucky enough to get a room with air conditioning. It's a beautiful hotel with a great theme. The staff was PHENOMENAL, answering any questions we had and storing all of our luggage for us on our last day (we were traveling in a group of 12). The rooms are nice and there is an elevator. We were even allowed to play cards in the lobby bar in the evenings. There is a tram stop about 500 feet away so it's easy to get around in the city.

The biggest downside was that there was no A/C which was absolutely brutal in the summer as an American. To their credit they did have a portable A/C unit but it just did not hold up in the heat.

Die Zimmer sind zweckmässig eingerichtet und sauber. Das Musikkonzept ist witzig. Gutes Frühstück und sehr freundliches Personal.

Everyone and I mean everyone at this property were fantastic. Especially the bartender at the restaurant (he also checked us in) he was the absolute best and made our stay even better! Merci to him!

Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel bar disturbed our sleep - I had a room that was directly above the bar. On Friday and Saturday nights, they have loud music playing. The receptionist said a law in Germany requires all bars to turn down the music at 10:00 but it didn’t matter. We could hear people and music very late. It disturbed me, my parents next door, and also my sister on a different floor. Also, the showers in all three rooms leaked a lot of water all over the floor. There was a puddle of standing water at least a foot long outside the shower. This wouldn't be much of a problem in a regular bathroom but the shower is right next to the bed and it got my suitcase wet.
Verified traveler (2/5): No AC, too hot, noisy and WiFi doesn’t work - Cute hotel with lovely staff and great location. Overall I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel due to the misrepresentation of their listing, and the fact that I barely slept during the 5 nights I stayed here. No A/C! For me this is a necessity in the summer. However, there were not even air vents in the room. The windows only opened a little and the street outside is very noisy with construction and unloading of crates of bottles early every morning. I spoke with the manager, he told me “some of the rooms have AC” and brought me a fan, but that was after 3 days of reporting it to the front desk - who of course know there is no AC and can’t help. WiFi didn’t work in the room. Very unstable connection with <1.5 Mbps and a ping time of >500 ms! I reported to the front desk the first day and they told me they are having problems, yet these were never resolved during my 5 night stay. I have to work late into the evening, so this was a major problem. Even the WiFi in the public areas was slow and unstable. There are so many things I loved about this hotel but i wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone needing AC or fast WiFi. The manager did offer me free drinks from the bar, but I wasn’t here to drink, I was here to sleep and work, and this hotel did not deliver what they promised in their listing.

Adam (8/5): Jams - We came for the week and booked a comfort suite. We found the service to be very good. The breakfast staff was amazing and very friendly. There’s an extensive continental breakfast with a variety of speciality coffees that they make on demand. They’ll also provide cooked eggs and juice if requested. The breakfast area is also comfortable. Our room was spacious but we learned after we booked that although the website still says free mini-bar they had discounted this service. Biggest concern was that there was no AC even though the website stated it which caused us to be very warm on some nights. When asked, the clerk said the compressor wasn’t working. There was no AC all week. So while the service was solid, we would not return due to the items listed above.
Tobias (2/5): - We were standing in front of closed doors in the middle of the night (3AM). The hotel didn’t inform us that they have no reception and a passcode is needed. I called the service hotline which didn’t give us the code and said we will be called Back. This never happened. It was freezing outside and we had to wait 3 hours in front of the closed door.

Vaskepersonalet var ikke koordinert med resepsjonen så de ville vaske før vi hadde sjekket ut på hjemreise dagen. Frokosten var ok. Savnet mer kald drikke tilgjengelig. Verified traveler (10/5): Great location and good breakfast - Nice place, good breakfast. Beds are a bit hard for American standards, but that is normal in Germany. Pillows are too soft as well. If you like sleeping on hard beds, then this is probably comfortable for you. Overall had a great time here, good location.

Mary (10/5): - JAMS Music Hotel was recommended by friends who live in the area. We enjoyed the hotel's cool vibe and decor. The hotel has cool Rock royalty decor throughout the hotel. I wish they put more Rock decor in the rooms. The shower was great pressure, however you have to add a lot of towels on the floor to contain the water that comes from the shower - but we managed. The bar area seemed to be happening and very popular. The breakfast was plentiful and great with fresh bread, meat/cheese options, baked goods, eggs and Capuccinos. The staff was very friendly. the area is very convenient to walk to the metro tram and walk to many restaurants in the area.

Britny (10/5): - Honestly one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in many. It was very clean, very unique and cute! and many personalized touches. The bed was SO comfortable and massive for Europe, there was even blackout curtains. Breakfast was very good with fabulous service, and a free minibar?!?! I have never had so many perks from one room before. It was a really nice touch that you could take records up to your room and play them on the record so player and there was even 2 bluetooth speakers! The shower and staff were amazing too. Seriously, I could not say enough good things about this hotel. A great value. And although its not right in the city, it is a very easy and quick train ride away. I would stay here 100 times over! Definitely recommend.
John C (10/5): - Staff was responsive. Definitely a boutique type hotel. Read up - if you want a resort style hotel then this place is not for you. If you want to have a music vibe stay with an open minibar, vinyl records at your disposal then this is your place. Highly recommend junior suite!
Babar (10/5): Funky & eclectic Boutique spot - Cracking location at only 20 minute walk to Marienplatz. funky and super vibe. Great staff and super value. Love the idea of the free minibar in your room - soft drinks, water and beer is a nice touch. Breakfast is just enough and also included. Lovely comfy beds. Standard Rooms are on the small side but great for a week or less. Perfect for my three night stay.

Scott (8/5): Beautiful Hotel in Great Location - Incredible hotel with great staff, awesome rooms, very clean and safe in great location. Great breakfast. Only issue was air conditioning. Had to sleep above covers b/c it was over 80 degrees in room. Asked for help several times and was told temp was not controlled in rooms but was controlled for entire building so couldn't be remedied.
Sam (10/5): Great hotel, great staff, great location. - Great hotel. I came over for a conference and my wife came over as well to make a weekend of it and we booked JAMS because of its location and it looked a bit different. Really happy we did, the staff were excellent, the hotel room was great, loved the record player in it. In particular the bar manager was great fun, a real character. We also borrowed the complimentary bikes and took them for a ride around the English Gardens and then back through town, which was a particular highlight.

Mz (6/5): - The hotel is very well connected to get to and from the airport and a quick 20 minute walk to centre of Munich. I had an issue with the bathroom as the showerdoor would not open and I spent 2 hours trying to get out, there was no alarm button installed in the shower nor in the bathroom, no one heard me call. If I had had a heart attack I would be dead by now. The receptionist was amazed and confused, but no apologies or anything.

Verified traveler (10/5): Nice unexpected night in Munich. - We booked this hotel last minute as our flight home was cancelled. The check in process was simple, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were plenty of complimentary drinks on offer and the theme of the hotel was a nice touch, even though all we really wanted to do at that point was sleep. Our only issue was that the room was a bit too warm and we couldn't work out how to adjust the heating. We ended up opening the window but it was less than ideal given the wind outside. The room has a separate toilet, but the shower is just in the middle of the room. It wasn't an issue for us as a couple but might be a problem for people who would rather not watch each other shower.
Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing - This was for a business trip and myself as an employee stayed here for Expo Real conference. I am personaly quite picky when it comes to hotels, and i can comfortably say this was one of the best hotels i have stayed with. Service and staff on reception is 10 out of 10, amazing. Location is great and 5 minute walk from metro and 15 minute walk from munich city centre. Hotel is clean and rooms are immaculate. So quirky, with a vinyle record player in every room, free mini bar as well!
