Guest Reviews
- Lacy (2/5): - It was gross
- Dale (6/5): - The room had no plug for the bathtub. There was no Kleenex. There was no extra toilet paper. The bathmat had holes and loose threads. The staff were not overly friendly- it was a job attitude- not very good English.
- Marc (2/5): - One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Smoke detector beeped every 30 seconds. TV remote did not work, air conditioning and fridge where not working well. No toilet paper. Friends of our had there licence plate stolen off there vehicle. Would not recommended this hotel at all.
- William (6/5): - Sheets wouldnt stop popping off the corners. No coffee, tissues, few towels.
One night stand for a king bed. Terrible tv package.
- Shannon (6/5): - It was a good stay
- Craig (2/5): - front desk staff tried to get more money than the agreed price on Expedia booking website.
- Robyn (10/5): - it was good for a quick stay with my dog. staff was friendly and courteous.
- SHREYAS B A (10/5): - Clean room and quite place.
- Hannah (2/5): - Arrived at 11pm and our room was not ready. After waiting for the person to “clean” the room. We pulled back the sheets and they were not only dirty, but multiple peoples different hairs. We did not even sleep under the covers. There were black jackets (wasps) in the room. The bathroom was dirty and the tiny shampoo vial was only halfway full. The walls are very thin as our neighbors at 3:30am had loud escapades that shook our bed for over an hour. Do not stay here. Do not waste your money. This was ridiculous.
- Michael (2/5): - The worst, stay away. Just look at the photos..
- Crystal (2/5): Yeeks - Location was decent… lots of parking.. friendly check in.. that’s about it. The room appeared to be clean but the walls and lamp and curtains were very stained. The towels were ripped.. was a place to sleep for a night.. however walls are paper thin so can hear the neighbors sleeping. Area seemed to be safe.. wouldn’t stay at again though.
- Paul (6/5): Fine for a weekend. - My wife & I had one room & brother-in-law & his wife in another on the ground floor for a weekend. The staff were kind and accommodating. There seemed to be some confusion at check-in since I had reserved 2 rooms.
It;s an old building with some upgrades to the floors & a good bed & AC. There is no sound barrier between rooms or from upstairs so I left the AC on all night to try and drown out the unwanted sounds from other rooms. There were fridges in the rooms but the only microwave available was above the laundry machines in the office area, not a big issue. The batteries were dead in the TV remote but that wasn't a concern for me.
My wife said she could detect the smell of cigarettes. Not everyone respects the no smoking rule. We are none smokers.
All said the kind staff helped make it a good experience.
- David (6/5): - Solid 3 star, room was good and staff at front desk was nice. Check in was supposed to be at 3 pm, but when I got there at 7 pm they told me my room still wasn’t ready. Also this is not the greatest value for money hotel, I expected a lot more for $200 a night. But none the less it did its job.
- Dodi (6/5): - I was extremely disappointed when i went to check in and git the key for the room there were fruit flies everywhere in the room. I went and asked for raid so i could take care of the issue. And front desk looked at me like i was nutts and played dumb to the situation. She offered a powder of some sort then febreeze or vinigar to me knowing i had my dog with me in the room. I sat in the bathroom killing them for over an hr. Im shocked, but what do u expect i guess, they must be doing whats necessary to keep the hotel afloat.
- David (6/5): Past its prime. - Little motel that needs lots of maintenence.
Lock was nearly broken, sink faucet was loose and there was no drain plug.
AC barely worked, stair railing was ready to fall off and the steps were in bad shape.
Bed was okay but the wifi was terrible.
- Brian (4/5): - T he building was cheap and so noisy from neighbours. Very badly maintained, bathroom door falling off
- Verified traveler (4/5): Misleading with amenities. - Be sure to do your due diligence and not trust what is listed as an amenity available. It listed a crib/infant bed (it even listed at a surcharge beside it).
- John (4/5): - We were charged a "security fee" upon check in... the bed itself was comortable the staff smiled as the charged us extra fees that were not returned until the check out person "checked" to be sure we didn't leave any damage!
The bed coasters were damaged and the frame was on wood blocks. No hand rails anywhere in shower. The bath mat was ragged with holes.
Considering the shape of the room, and lack of ammenities (one tiny bar of soap one tiny shampoo) bathroom floor dirty around edges. Asking for a security fee was an insult.
- Harold (4/5): - It was not an enjoyable stay
- Lukasz (4/5): - Old and dirty hotel. Highly
- Gary (8/5): - There was a good place to stay for the price
- Brett (4/5): - Basic thingd like bathroom plug do not work
- KIM (6/5): - Property needs updating and cleaning
- Harvey (2/5): - what did i like nothing i will never book a room there again you cant cancel this and if you buy insurance to cover that eventuality its void if you try to use it if your plans change at the last minute
- Verified traveler (2/5): Police watching due to drugs and people staying - Do not stay here. Police across the street watching warned us not safe. No refunds due to late timing.
- Carla (4/5): - Convenient location, you hear the neighbors in the hotel but staff were amazing.
- PENNY (4/5): - If you want a cheap hotel for overnight this is your place ,the room was fair , not much for amenities, staff was friendly, if you want coffee it was in the office for $2 good coffee, place needs a complete over haul G&P Southern
- John (2/5): - This place is awful. You could hear people talking and walking arond in the room beside you. The room was disgusting. There was spider webs in the corners of the bathroom room. The room was in serious need of a major renovation. The towels were ripped and in tatters. If I hadn't registered and prepaid I never would of stayed here. I have stayed in a lot of hotels but this was by far the worst.
- Lawrence (10/5): - Its very pleasant and quiet.
- Trevor (2/5): - I got a room for my Son and his new Wife, thinking a room that cost me $280 would be a good place. When they arrived there, they walked into the room and said it smelled like an ashtray and that the room was substandard at best. It was so bad they came home less than an hour after they arrived at the hotel. This was my gift to them and instead it turned into a nightmare. Do not stay here.
- Lawrence (10/5): - Was awesome and quiet and omg the beds soft lol
- adara (10/5): - The back yard was very beautiful and scenic :(
- adara (10/5): - Good staff
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst ever - Towels are old, and the beddings, too. Desk staff rude. Door knob could be opened without a key even if locked from the inside. Was told there are security cameras anyway.
- Zonglin (10/5): - The place is very nice.
- Parinya (10/5): - Great
- Terence (6/5): - Meh.
- travis (2/5): - For the price compared to other rooms with
- Ryan (6/5): Basic, no frills motel in a safe area - First time staying at this property. Didn’t encounter any issues at check in and the front desk agent was nice however he forgot to give me the WiFi code.
My room was clean and appeared to be in decent shape. Grounds of the property have seen better days with lots of litter and an abandoned restaurant.
If you’re looking for something in White Rock, this is a great location and within walking distance to Wal Mart and Morgan Crossing.
- JF (10/5): - Great staff
- LUANNE (2/5): - The bedding was stained and thread bare
Our washcloths stained , one was a cleaning rag
Our towels had holes in them
The walls were dirty , mold seen
I won’t trust Expedia again when booking a hotel.
- Gang (10/5): - Good service, good location
- Andrea (2/5): - The room was disgusting. Our towels were dirty, and when we asked for new ones, the staff made us prove they were dirty before giving us unused clean towels. Staff was rude.
- Steve (2/5): - Awful I didn’t stay
- Verified traveler (2/5): don't go there - The check in was OK as we arrived late.
The room was not cleaned or visited for four day stay. We dumped our own garbage and went to the front for towels. There was a crumbling piece of tape between the bathroom and the hall that was dirty and required stepping over. The TV was temperamental and required management to reset things several times. Using the microwave blew the fuse for utter darkness. Sheets very thin, towels threadbare with hanging threads. I should get a refund. They charged extra for the 2nd person in a 2 bed room. For what? they didn't change the sheets. Two ladies on the back side of nowhere with inadequate lighting and no sense of security. After the weekend there was only one other occupied room.
- Lili (6/5): - Close to the beautiful water view, but need to be more careful about cleaning.
- Elmar D. (4/5): - dirty
- Eric (6/5): - Place needs to be updated ten years ago. Over priced for how old and in rough shape the place is.
- Lawrence (8/5): - No coffee pot in the room
- Owen (4/5): - I had to find last minute accommodation for a family emergency and stayed here. Terribly run down. The bedding was clean but otherwise the room was in terrible shape. Two dumpsters in the parking lot overflowing with garbage. A real mess
- Antonio (10/5): - It was very convenient place for us before going to Vancouver
- Tavish (8/5): - Good for a quick few nights stay for a three start motel type of experience.
Worth the Save.
- Thomas (2/5): Don’t stay here - This hotel should not be as expensive as it is. The room had no lamps, bathroom door didn’t stay open, TV was the smallest you can buy and was in a Kingbed room. The hotel still has actual keys no security. No coffee maker, microwave or glassware in the room. Towels had crusty substance on them. It was a horrible stay.
- Christina (2/5): Double charged - I was double charged.
- John (8/5): - Quiet and perfect for what I needed
- Wade (4/5): Wouldn’t stay here - Could hear everyone above you and in the rooms beside you. Lots of flying ants. Door had a crack in it. Holes in the walls, tiny t v, smelled like cigarette smoke.
- Marianne (8/5): - Good place to stay
- michael (4/5): - We got a bag stolen from vehicle and a homeless person was pounding on our door at 2:20am. Scared my wife very badly.
- Pradeep (6/5): - Average property
- qian (2/5): - I didn’t stay this place because when I arrived there no one there I couldn’t check in. I know the check in time is 3pm, I was waiting until 4pm then I left!
- Roman (2/5): - I visited 12 different countries in the last 10 years. Stayed at more than 50 different hotels. This one was the most terrible and overpriced place I’ve seen so far.
- Rick (2/5): - This place seemed to have some permanent residents who were.very sketchy. One korning we had a drugged out guy threatening us out side our room.
Non smoking room reeked of cigarettes and a car air freshener hung on the picture inside to mask it. Our concerns to the front staff went nowhere. The door was patched together in order to function, it looked like it had been kicked in a few times.
I wish i could post the pictures I took.
Way overpriced and gross. Find somewhere else to stay.
- Austen (2/5): Dont stay here - It was awful! Id rather sleep in my car then stay here again!
Walls paper thin! I felt like i could join the conversation in the next room!
Wouldn't recommend
- Mary (8/5): - nothing fancy but for the price and area will make do .
- Tamara (4/5): - Run down, situated in a parking lot behind a gas station, not worth much
- Amber (8/5): - It was a quiet area and Inn. The place was clean and nicely kept.
- Jackie (10/5): - The host was friendly and the room was clean and simple
- Ramandeep (4/5): - Smell of cigarettes in the entire room, no soaps for shower.
- Craig (4/5): - Dirty
- Glen (6/5): - Basic room with musky smell. The beds were clean but everything is worn. The towel bar was broken. Something so simple and cheap should have been repaired.
- Maria (6/5): My stay was OK. The fridge froze my food. - It was good but the small refrigerator was too cold and the food I put in it froze. The TV was on the small size. It was pet friendly and the back yard was great. It was fully fenced.
- Laura (6/5): - Paper thin walls you could hear the tv in the next room toilet flush or water turned on in the bathroom
- Robert (8/5): - Clean, clean, clean. Quiet older property set back from a busy road in Surrey BC. Reasonable price for spacious room. No problems.
- Bryan (2/5): - Reeked of smoke and evidence of bed bugs.
- JodeyneWorkmanWorkman (8/5): - No frills, at all. No coffee in room. No plug for bathroom sink. Very noisy from other guests upstairs and next door. Would not stay here again. Smell of smoke from next door.
- Sagandeep (8/5): - it was a good stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was just okay
- Ron (4/5): - The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were beat up and lumpy, which made sleep difficult. Drunk guests in other suites were arguing until very late. Guests in the next room played loud music until just before midnight. I regret booking at this motel.
- bharat (10/5): - Excellent
- Binod (4/5): - Room had very bad smoke smell and very old. It’s time to renovated.
My wife got stunk by 9 bees all over her body and even I got stunk by bees and my son got stunk too.
Towels in the rooms were dirty and torn.
When I reached the hotel I was told I only had rooms for one night and when I showed her that I paid for 2 nights. She told she will check and finally found our reservation.
- Yevgeniy (2/5): - Cockroaches
- Shahin (4/5): - The front desk person was very disrespectful during our check-in and kept complaining about our stay arrangements. We were not accommodated with request for towels and he kept harassing us to take additional rooms when it was agreed that we could share the double beds room.
