Guest Reviews
- Natalie (9/5): -
- Jorge (7/5): - El personal excepcional, muy atentos y serviciales. Le falta mantenimiento a todas las instalaciones
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional - The Management and Staff were exceptional. Caring and compassionate. My partner suffered a medical emergency and the support offered to me by the management and staff was beyond anything I could have anticipated. I was treated like family and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would highly recommend
Whilst not a big menu as this property has only 6 Burre the food was beautifully fresh and well presented cannot recommend highly enough wether as transit accommodations lot for a few days rest and relaxation Nothing
- DGM80 (10/5): - Super cute, super unique. Very fun experience. We stayed right after a cyclone, so there was a bit of vegetation damage so we didn't get the full effect, but even so the grounds are very pretty and the place feels very secluded. The staff is excellent, and went the extra mile, is very friendly and efficient. The food is good (Just FYI Fiji is not a culinary tourism destination so food was excellent by comparison). Excellent value for the cost. The villas are very solid despite being "tentish" and the driver was very helpful and very good. I would not hesitate to stay here again... and would pick it over almost any other accommodation in or around Nadi, despite the slight distance, and we saw allot of them. BTW, the bathrooms were amazing, and the windows around the mirror to the outside were super fun. The vegetation between the "tents" was less than I imagined and was hoping for so you couldn't just leave the blinds open and wander your room like you were Tarzan and Jane in the jungle :). That may have been partially a function of the cyclone vegetation damage, so I don't downgrade my rating... but more vegetative privacy between the units would have been nice. I was also disappointed that the shower in our room had a solid panel to the exterior, instead of a glass wall like the pictures, I was kind of looking forward to the faux jungle shower. But overall it was very beautiful and great fun.
- Zimmer (10/5): - The beauty of the property was striking! The staff were so friendly and kind! They even sang happy birthday and brought out a cake for my brother! It is a bit secluded, but if that is what you are looking for, it’s perfect!
- koenk754 (10/5): A true oasis nearby Nadi Airport - The highlight of my visit to Fiji is my stay at The Fiji Orchid. The small size and amazing staff made it a perfect place for me to wind down after an active holiday.
The staff is very attentive and made the experience at this well maintained and beautiful property that much better.
The kitchen staff made very tasty and varied Fijian food made with locally sourced ingredients.
Thank you to the whole team for this authentic experience!
- Ksenia (10/5): Private, quiet, and intimate resort, perfect for a getaway. Staff incredibly attentive. -
- Koen K. (10/5): Ultieme relax bestemming - Service van personeel
Geweldig restaurant
Mooi onderhouden tuin

- paulreid23 (10/5): Be sure to dine at the restaurant - My wife and I stayed four nights and loved it. The gardens are just magnificent and really well curated. Unfortunately, the orchids that give the resort its name were "resting" when we were there; apparently the peak flowering time is August.
We ate at the hotel every night and that was a big part of the experience. The nightly offering at Raymond's is worth staying in for as the menu changes every night and the talented chef makes excellent use of locally sourced ingredients including the freshest fish we've had in a while.
The prices (entrees 28-30 FJD and mains 48-50 FJD) are higher than the usual Lautoka pizza and burger options (which you'd have to arrange transport to get to) but are very reasonable once converted to AUD/NZD and VFM.
The hotel provides an inclusive shuttle to and from the airport and excursions or simple trips into Lautoka can be arranged at a nominal fee.
The bure contained everything we wanted and was restocked with bottled water every day. And we couldn't speak more highly of the staff, who go above and beyond to ensure you feel welcome.

- Touraj (10/5): I stayed at Fiji Orchid Hotel for five nights, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I fel -
- Michelle (10/5): Staff and management felt like family. Food was the best we experienced in Fiji - Staff, atmosphere
- Jonathan (8/5): - Quiet and secluded.Large and spacious apartment.Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing

- Dianejohntravel (10/5): Most amazing oasis - We stayed 2 nights as a pause in flights from Toronto to Sydney.
Upon arrival we were immediately welcomed as part of the Fiji Orchid Family.
The grounds, pool, and Bures are incredibly maintained. Such wonderful lush vegetation and fragrant. A joy to walk around.
The food is top notch, and the coffee is strong!
What sets this place apart is the staff. They genuinely love to get to know you and make sure you are enjoying yourself.
The hotel offers airport pickup and drop off service as well as arranging any excursions you may be interested in.
- Sofia (10/5): Perfect stay for overnight(s) when traveling to Fiji islands - Beautiful resort and accommodation, very friendly staff, delicious food!
- Nilupuli (9/5): - Great hotel for a peaceful and quiet holiday. The staff were fantastic and the room was clean and spacious.
- Thomas (10/5): Service ist großartig und 5 Sterne Niveau - Sehr gut, hervorragend. Sehr persönlich. Etwas dezentral und nur mit Fahrzeug
- RuthyGlasgow (10/5): Fabulous quaint hotel - Cruise agent booked this hotel for us and so happy he did as we thoroughly enjoyed being here for 3 nights after our Pacific cruise. Our room was one of the 5/6 individual little glass and wooden lodges. I must admit it was clean enough but not everything was perfect but good enough to be comfortable and enjoy. The dining room was lovely looking out into the garden and the food was good. You had to let them know what you would like to eat from the small daily menu. Food was good as was the breakfast. Pool was small and lovely too with the cascading water fall. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend here and would come back. This used to be the actor Raymond Burrs (Perry Mason) house where he had an interest in gardens and flowers and wildlife.
- ORLANE (10/5): - La sensation d'exclusivité, seulement 6 bures. La piscine est très agréable, le cadre dans la jungle est incroyable, le personnel aux petits soins. Mention spéciale pour les repas d'une grande qualité avec que des produits locaux. Rien
- Yoann (10/5): -
- Michele (10/5): Excellent - Very beautiful setting in the jungle.. extremely romantic with a lovely pool and villas.. there is a driver available to take you to all events and attractions ( for a small $) A fair distance from the tourist area but then you get a real feel of Fiji when travelling to and from this resort
- Bernard (7/5): Lovely staff and garden setting but let down by lack of maintenance - Staff were great and free airport transfer was excellent with a lovely driver. Hotel also accommodated late check out Rooms are very tired and need renovation. The fridge was rusty inside and out. Also mould on the fridge rubber seal. Chair in room was broken and wifi only worked in room. Light hanging from ceiling and broken tiles around the pool. Obviously hotel was once lovely but now poor value at current rate.
- Nikki (10/5): - The paradise feel of all the tropical plants, birdsong, aesthetic appearance of the buildings and pool.
A very well run establishment, attention to detail of service was seamless and the food was excellent. It was tranquil, a short walk to the public beach. The staff are so friendly and helpful.
They have a driver if we wanted to go into Latoaka or to Nadi Location was a 15 minute drive into Latoaka or 30 minutes into Nadi.
- Petra (10/5): - This property was the perfect spot in so many aspects, food, the jungle retreat, the beauty of the tent bures, the staff. I couldn't have chosen better, snd would recommend to anyone just before or after their island adventure. The staff couldn't be more wonderful, everybody knows your name and finds solutions, for example for late checkouts. I rented a scooter to be more independent, as the remote location requires taxi-ing.
- graham (10/5): Highest rating possible. Perfect. - Fantastic staff who truly care and make every moment magical Not being able to stay longer.
- Nico Lönneker (10/5): - Außergewöhnlich freundliches Personal, wunderschöne Anlage. Diese befindet sich in einem kleinen privaten "Wald".
- kristi (10/5): - The property felt so remote but quaint. It is relaxation at its best.
- Keryn (9/5): - On the whole a relaxing stay. Nice pool area which you can enjoy because it is quiet(no children).
Beds and pillows comfy.
Room layout nice.
Only negative, which is out of the control of management is the road noise. It is tolerable though. Also can go and sit in restaurant area for a quieter place.
Need some hooks or something to hang towels.
- Serendipity_Norfolk (10/5): Lovely place to start our Fiji adventure - What a lovely place and really lovely team. No idea how they all remember every customer's names, but they do, and really care about you enjoying your stay. The food in the restaurant is delicious, cooked by a great team of trainee chefs. You can eat at the restaurant even if you aren't staying and we'd definitely recommend. We stayed for a couple of days, before heading elsewhere in Fiji, and it was a great place to start our Fiji adventure. The team arranged a lovely morning tour to the Hindu temple, town market, Sleeping Giant Garden, and the mud baths, which was great fun. Definitely a lovely place to be on a Fiji visit. You feel like you are getting a proper Fiji experience, rather than just another corporate hotel. There are only 6 rooms, each self contained with a large bed, seating area, and ensuite bathroom. There's a lovely pool, lounge and dining area. Definitely worth a stay, or book in for dinner.
- CircleTriangle (10/5): Respite between adventures - It is a wonderful respite. Hospitality is personal. Food is good enough to eat there the entire time . You feel like a welcomed member of the family. Bring a book , for there are no need for tv . Remember to bring romance, the accommodations are intimate and private.
- YKcitizen (10/5): Tropical paradise - We stayed at this boutique unique place one night on the way to Tonga and one night returning from Tonga. Both times the experience was wonderful. It started with a complimentary airport pick up and then drop off to our next destination on the way back. We arrived very early jet lagged after an overnight flight and were offered a day room until our rooms were ready after lunch. We very much appreciated the hospitality and personal approach. We went for a swim in a pool, took a nap, had a tasty lunch and checked into our bungalows. The surroundings were lush in a jungle setting, our bungalows were spacious with AC and all modern amenities . The Orchid arranged for a van to take us into town for a festival in the evening. Again, very convenient and accommodating.
During our second stay, we took a ride to botanical gardens. It was a nice way to spend a few hours. Again, the Orchid accommodated us with a late check out for our evening flight home.
When in Nadi, there is no other place I would stay but The Orchid. It offers privacy, relaxed atmosphere, impeccable service, hospitality. Thank you to all that made our stay special.

- Alison (10/5): A truly magical stay - like coming home to family. - This isn’t just a hotel — it’s an experience. A peaceful retreat from the modern world, steeped in history, beauty, and heartfelt hospitality. We would love to return!
From the moment we arrived, staying at this hotel felt like stepping back in time to an era of true hospitality, charm, and warmth. It’s rare to find a place where every single staff member treats you not just like a guest, but like a part of their extended family — and that’s exactly the experience we had here.
The atmosphere is enchanting. Offering seven private Burres it is a perfect blend of old-world elegance and modern comfort. You can feel the charm and personality in every corner, yet everything is beautifully maintained and equipped with all the amenities you could possibly need. It’s a place where time slows down in the very best way, inviting you to truly relax and savor every moment whether its in your Burre, by the pool or in the dining/reception areas.
Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and absolutely spotless. We loved the shower looking out into the jungle....what a unique experience! Every detail has clearly been considered with care and pride.
But what truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Friendly, thoughtful, and always ready with a warm smile or helpful suggestion, they made us feel immediately at ease. It’s clear they love what they do, and that joy is infectious. Whether it was remembering a special birthday or going out of their way to recommend local hidden gems, their attention to detail and genuine kindness made our stay unforgettable. Depika and Ledge were exceptional but not only that, every single member of staff from groundsmen to housekeeping to restaurant staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. I cannot recommend the Fiji Orchid highly enough. It is a truly unique and exceptional experience. Nothing. Everything was exceptional.

- Anna (10/5): Минусов нет. - Райское место. Отличный релакс, вкуснейшая еда, отзывчивый персонал. По просьбе организовали экскурсию по острову. Есть комары, но везде по отелю стоят репелленты, которые хорошо справляются.
- Mio (8/5): -
- Максим (10/5): -
- Jessica (8/5): Good value, great food! - The staff are so helpful and welcoming! The food is really really good and the rooms are nice. Pool area is good too. The rooms are a bit tired but still very comfortable
- Samantha (10/5): - Surrounded by natural trees. The facility has normal wear and tears due to the age I think. I won't complain the price I am paying is for the environment and 5 star service! Nice staff! The chef cooks amazing food. Restaurant people are caring and lovely! Reception is responsive and helpful! Driver is nice and friendly! The boy at the entrance, (might be a security guard) he is amazing :) Technician guy is quick response and is able to solve the issue within a blink. We will come back again:)
- Geraldine (10/5): - ALL The staff went above and beyond, from the gardeners , security, driver, cleaners, waitstaff and front of house staff, they all made our stay special. Loved our Buree , so quiet and peaceful. Lovely having the pool virtually to ourselves and no screaming kids around.Their tour was brilliant of all the top spots.HIghly recommend it. Very special being invited to join the staff in their Kava ceremony celebrating Fiji orchids anniversary. Food was great. They were brilliant at assisting us with booking our excursions Its a shame it was pretty far from Nandi and Latauka. Reliant on paying for transfers which meant we didn't get to eat out .We had to have dinner at the resort.. We were told to be very careful not to have any valuables on us if we went down to the beach which was only 10 mins walk . Good to be forewarned so we weren't robbed/mugged , but shame it wasnt regarded as safe.
- H4577NXbeatrices (10/5): Intimate, Relaxing, and Wonderfully Personal 🌿 - The Fiji Orchid is small and intimate, surrounded by lush gardens that create a sense of peace and privacy. The pool is perfect for relaxing, and the dining room and main lodge encourage wonderful interactions with fellow travelers.
What makes it so special is how the staff take great care in customizing the guest experience—every detail feels thoughtful and personal. Meals are fresh and flavorful, served with genuine Fijian warmth.
A perfect hideaway near Nadi for relaxation, connection, and attentive care. A great spot for side trips and exploring the island.
- Sharon (10/5): - The pool was great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
- MonikaA214 (10/5): Loved this boutique hotel! - My husband and I were traveling to a small island in Fiji and wanted a nice, quiet, boutique hotel on the main island to stay pre and post trip. We arrived on the direct flight from Dallas to Nadi...arrival is VERY early in the morning. Fiji Orchid had our room ready and were so kind to escort us and show us around. The rooms are wonderful! Very tropical...makes you feel like you are in the jungle. Super neat, all glass design with privacy curtains. Very small AND very boutique. Everything was clean. Everyone was courteous. We ate all our meals there which were delicious. They even arranged for a car to take us into town to pick up a few things we needed. We enjoyed sitting around the pool, listening to the bird chirping. It's a very special place we hope to return to some day soon! Thank you for the great service.
- Alasdair (5/5): It suited a short stay - The staff were excellent The resort is rundown
- David (10/5): An excellent, private, adults only retreat that’s away from it all. - Excellent service, cleanliness with a quiet, private atmosphere. The property was quiet and secluded, which we enjoyed, however this meant needing to travel for shopping or exploring the local region (which we were ok with).
- dpucar (9/5): Great location in the middle of the jungle - Great location in the middle of the jungle—you can hear the birds and enjoy the natural surroundings, which we loved. The staff was very welcoming and helped us with renting a car. Since there are no major attractions nearby, having a car is necessary to get around.
- Jessica (9/5): - Sehr freundliches Personal und tropische schöne Hotelanlage
- Cyryllo (10/5): Great place for a couple of nights - An island of pristine, calm and quiet jungle, with an excellent service.
- Mdzbtz (8/5): The stay was perfect the bill wasn't! - WARNING: ILLEGAL PRACTICES! Due to a typhoon in Hong Kong, I arrived 3 days later than what was planned on the reservation. However, warned by the Hong Kong weather forecast, I notified the hotel sufficiently in time of this delay, which, according to the terms of my reservation, authorised me to cancel the three nights of my delay at a reduced rate—despite my protests, the establishment, in fraud of our agreements, simply charged me the full price. I filed a complaint with Booking.com, but without success so far.
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Courteney (10/5): The perfect place to begin my holiday and unwind and relax in nature. - Beautiful and tranquil. N/A
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed a week and great place for refreshing.Great amenities and fantastic staff
Beautiful setting and loved the food. Staff very open to any queries and talking about the resort and it's history Nothing really.
- Jessica (9/5): Amazing stay. Loved it. - Amazing team.
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing - Was very relaxing and peaceful. The staff made us feel extremely welcome. We spent most of the time at the resort swimming, reading, eating. Food was great and we really enjoyed our time here.
- Sophie (10/5): Lovely hope to go back - It’s very peaceful. Beautiful setting , nice pool. Lovely staff and manager. Very helpful. I was a little unwell so couldn’t eat much but I tried some of my partners dinner and the food was amazing. The driver also was very helpful who got us to Denerau on time even in very busy traffic. Nothing
- Merryn (9/5): Great way to end a holiday - Beautiful setting
- Loralee (7/5): Good - The staff were friendly and doing their best. Although the bures are well designed they are too close to the road. Road noise all night and day. For being so far away from everything it defeats the purpose. Also the beach was dirty like a dumping site for trash did not feel safe seems like a party site and not in a good way.
- Hill (10/5): The Fiji Orchid was paradise - It is a beautiful hotel. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. A peaceful, relaxing few days. Food was delicious. We have been sailing for 6 months. The Fiji Orchid was paradise. We had no dislikes, everything was perfect.
- Jean-claude (10/5): Idealic - We didn't know what to expect but we couldn't say enough about the kind and helpful staff. The bures are amazing and very private. Food is great, location idealic.
Will be back.
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): - Beautiful resort, very well maintained with excellent staff and good food. It is very quiet and nothing within walking distance so must arrange taxi if you want to leave the resort.
- Lovleen (10/5): Exceptional - The staff are incredible, always going out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home! Being a solo traveler they took care of my stay and travel. The hotel itself is picturesque and I throughly enjoyed my time here. Highly recommend!
- Diane (9/5): A charming Bure in a lush tropical environment - Beautiful lush environment, charming Bure, excellent food, helpful staff.
The Lodge was a lovely place to relax and enjoy pre dinner drinks and meals including breakfast
- Allie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Timothy (9/5): Beautiful garden atmosphere in posh chalets (bures). - This is a very posh transitional place, where you stay on your way to small island resorts in Fiji or the airport. The chalets (bures) are very nice, with the best shower in the South Pacific. The staff are nice, breakfast is good. You are staying in the middle of a garden. It is beautiful, but also you will want to move on after a day or two (that is not a negative). Good place to orientate yourself when coming or going from Fiji.
- Lucy (8/5): A brief but memorable stay. - This is a unique place to stay.. the accomodation is very unusual and different - very comfortable.
The lodge and dining area takes to back to a bygone era. The Bures are set in a tropical setting which would appeal to those looking for solitude and peace and quiet. The location sadly. It is very remote and we were looking to mix the tropical setting with the beach located nearby. We were advised to act with caution and not to take valuables to the beach should we go. This put a damper on us sadly.
- Danya (7/5): Clean and great service :) - Very clean. The staff were very polite and friendly especially Ledge and Reuben! Only 6 villas on the property so it had a nice boutique hotel feel. The dinner was excellent. Very far from where the main attractions are. Daily transport around the island became very expensive.
- Fabrice (10/5): Exceptional - Nice breakfast. Very friendly staff
- Norman (10/5): - Just being in a hotel where Raymond Burr lived makes just makes you feel special. The furnishings and and the way that it ishe property is located in the rainforest
- Liz (10/5): Make sure you spend a couple of nights here to settle into Fiji - The room, environment, pool, restaurant, transfer service.
- Dag (10/5): Exceptional - The staff is outstanding. The surrounding "rain forrest" is a nice change to normal Fiji beac h…
- wrmomxg (10/5): Raymond Burr had it right… - The staff is professional and accommodating. We needed a day room for a late flight and the service was flawless from pick up to transit back to the Airport. It was handled all by their staff. The small resort is adults only and the room ( stand alone Bure) was really as others haves stated; perfect. The grounds are so lush and cared for it is as if you are in a giant rainforest by yourself. We had lunch in the “Raymond Burr” home on the hill and it was a place you could sit for hours and take in a breeze and enjoy the serenity.
- Dave2305 (10/5): Welcoming, relaxing and friendly - Stayed at Fiji Orchid for 7 nights in May.
A small adults only resort of just 6 Bure's, so pool area and restaurant never crowded.
Set in rain forest type landscape.
Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, particularly the resort manager Deepika who is always good for a laugh.
Breakfast was included and was always plentiful.
Lunch and dinner menu change daily and are limited in choice but generally tasty and well presented.
Rooms are well provisioned with tea and coffee and bed was very comfortable.
Highly recommend.
- Simon (9/5): Superb - The setting in the trees is beautiful. The family feel amongst the staff makes the welcome personal, from the airport pick up to departure. The rooms are well designed and comfortable. With zero traffic noise the sounds of nature becomes the backdrop. Very peaceful and relaxing. They have a dive resort on another island so this is a great decompression stop for those pre and post diving. Due to the slightly remote nature of the resort, the travel in and out needs planning.
- Maiko (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional - The rain forest setting was absolutely gorgeous. Our bungalow was clean, comfortable, and private. The staff were super friendly and efficient. It was an amazing place to stay and unwind. It's a little off the beaten track. We were glad we had a rental car.
- denhamania (10/5): Amazing property & staff - Stayed just 1 night en route to the Mamanucca Islands. What an amazing boutique adults only property with top quality customer service delivered with a smile by wonderful staff.
Just 6 unique bure style rooms set in a tropical garden with full luxury amenities surrounded by birdsong and nature at her finest.
Had dinner onsite at Raymond's in an equally soothing environment. Food was excellent and my wife who is vegan was very well looked after with a very tasty vegetable stir fry.
Beautiful pool area where we waited for our transfer to Port Denarau. Absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending this property as your location before or after the islands.
- Merry (10/5): - If you want to be away from the noise and business of too many tourists, this is the place to go. It's like a private tropical oasis. The grounds have beautiful trees and gardens that are well-kept. The bures give you the sense that you are glamping in the middle of the rainforest. Staff is excellent as well. They pick you up to/from the airport and top to bottom everyone knows your name and treats you like a VIP. Only one restaurant option, but the food is amazing. Paradise.
Be aware that because of its gardens and location, there are wild life and animals roaming about: little frogs flood the path on rainy days, tropical insects and lizards, some semi-domesticated cats live(?) on the grounds, and there is a dog as well on the property.
- Sarah (10/5): A stunning property with spacious rooms, beautiful grounds, and exceptional, welcoming staff that made the stay truly me - I absolutely loved my stay at this property. The rooms were impressively spacious, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable—everything you could want for a relaxing getaway. The hotel grounds were simply stunning, nestled among lush trees and vibrant greenery that created a peaceful, serene atmosphere.
What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful from the moment I arrived. Their warmth and attentiveness made the trip feel exceptionally special, and I’m so grateful for the genuine hospitality. I wouldn’t hesitate to return! Nothing

Dinner was excellent and there was also an included transfer from the airport on arrival and to the cruise port the following day. We really loved the opportunity to sit by the pool before our departure to the port.

- Frank (9/5): Absolutely lovely and will definitely plan to return - This place is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are beautiful, and very spacious and clean. The property itself is full with flowers, plants and is exceptionally well maintained. The staff is fabulous; every single person I've met was very kind and focused on ensuring guests have a wonderful experience. I was hoping to be able to walk around the area a bit more; but it wasn't as inviting to do so. The location was very convenient given the short distance from the airport but the surroundings not as interesting to walk around.

I wanted an authentic Fiji experience and the Fiji orchid did not disappoint. Restaurant, while small, served excellent food and a full breakfast. Room was spacious and surrounded by nature. This is a great spot from which to explore the island or simply relax away from the crowds in a completely natural environment. And I loved that it is independently, locally owned and operated. Highly recommend!
- Marc (8/5): Authentic Fiji experience - Incredibly friendly staff, willing to help with anything and made me feel right at home. They welcomed me like I was part of the family. I wanted an authentic Fiji experience and this did not disappoint. Food was also wonderful, room extremely comfortable. A great place to explore Fiji island, visit local villages or simply unwind in a very natural setting. Highly recommend. Travelers should be aware that it is in a quiet area, removed from the typical tourist spots. This was a plus for me as I wanted an authentic experience but others should be mindful.
