The breakfast was excellent and my hosts were kind enough to ensure I had gluten-free sausage and toast. I really enjoyed my stay.

Owners were very understanding and allowed us to arrive early hours in the morning. Lovely and clean. Very friendly and breakfast was lovely . Will definitely stay again.

It was run by a wonderful helpful couple our room was clean and spacious as we ended up having the family room as they were fully booked. Breakfast menu had plenty to choose from and was all very well presented and tasty of course I would definitely recommend 😃😃

The location was perfect for visiting the surrounding area and close proximity to the Lakes . The hotel had been refurbished to a high standard and the rooms were very clean and comfortable . The couple running the hotel were welcoming, pleasant and helpful making our stay stress free and enjoyable .

- Amy (10/5): Great guest house and hosts! - Me and my partner were in the area for a friends wedding only a couple of minutes down the road, so the location was perfect! The hotel exceeded my expectations as the rooms were bright, fresh and very spacious, its quite rare for a room to have a sofa and a chair in the room- especially for the price asked. The couple running the Guest House were so friendly and welcoming making us feel relaxed as soon as we walked through the door. The complimentary breakfast was a great addition (all cooked food was sourced locally). I would definitely stay at the Birchleigh again! The Guest House and location was a great escape.

Room 1 where we stayed looked as though it had recently been decorated. Tasty breakfast was served in nice airy dining room. There are a number of shops and cafes close by. Would not hesitate to return next time we go to Cartmel Races.

- michelle (10/5): Lovely guest house. Minutes away from the Sea - We booked the premium room for a few pounds extra and we weren't disappointed at all. Our room was gorgeous, it was chic and charming. All rooms in the hotel were immaculate, clean and smelt lovely. Breakfast was spot on with cereals, toast, fruit salad and full english etc on offer. Linda and Brian were really friendly and helpful, advising us of various local walks. Grange was quieter than we expected but it was just what we needed. We would definitely recommend Birchleigh and will be staying here again.
