robert (9/5): A very nice sensibly priced relaxed hotel with lovely staff and superb breakfast in a nice part of Great Yarmouth. - I arrived at the hotel around 8.20pm as a sole traveller after a long drive from Bognor Regis and I was checked in by the manager in a very nice way and very kindly pointed out to me that if I wanted food the restaurant will be closing in 10 minutes he went and found me a menu and I chose a chicken salad and chips and he said take your suitcase to your room and and come down soon and then the food arrived promptly and was lovely and when I sat down a member of staff asked me did I want a drink from the bar and they put it on my table and and they could not be more kind and considerate . I had a pint of draught cider and very good value at £5.50.The hotel is on the seafront at the top end of the promenade in a quieter part and it was a nice 10 to 12 minute walk to the town centre the following morning. The full English breakfast was lovely and cooked to order and not kept warm under heat lamps like a lot of hotels. Very minor issues the access to the car park at the rear is very narrow but there is on street parking on the road outside . The sheets were tucked in at the bottom of the bed so I could not fully cover my shoulders like I normally do however I slept very well and peacefully .

Breakfast was really good with lots of choice and fresh flowers on the table. if i had to say something then the access to the car park is very tight, however there is free parking a 2 minute walk away so you dont have to use this.

The place was very clean, and the breakfast was amazing! I have lactose intolerance, and they had milk available, so they were able to accommodate me.We finally enjoyed it and definitely will be back. Highly recommend. Jenny (10/5): Looking forward to coming back! - We had a delux double with a sea view and it was beautiful. Seating arranged to make the most of the beautiful view. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The ensuite shower room was spotless and had everything we needed. The staff were warm and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing as was the dinner we had. All very good value for money. We won't be staying anywhere else when we come back to Great Yarmouth. The access to parking at the rear of the hotel was very narrow. We have a large car so we had to pull in our side mirrors to get in to minimise the risk of scratching them.

What really stood out was the service; the waitresses and bar staff were excellent, friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. The dining was a highlight too—the chef was amazing and every meal was perfectly cooked and delicious. We can’t wait to return!

Staff were friendly and polite. Overall I would recommend this hotel as the staff made us welcome. Only one small compliant, Radiator behind headboard,I could not turndown the radiator heat control as it refused to move which made the room to hot resulting in having to open window.

Would have liked a grab rail over bath when using shower Mirror in bathroom was placed very high I could only see the top of my head!! If you have problems with stairs it would be wise to let the hotel know in advance. These are just suggestions not criticisms as these are very minor and didn't spoil our break.
Craig (7/5): Nice but very noisy - The hotel itself is nice The fact no one told us when booking that there was a half marathon starting outside the hotel. which meant noise outside the hotel from 6am with loud music from 8am on a Sunday morning. One reason we came away for was a relaxing time and waking up without alarms

Albert (8/5): Verbleef een lang weekend voor familie bezoek. - Geweldig ontbijt. Echt meer dan voldoende keuze. Vers klaar gemaakt en ontstekende kwaliteit. Echt top! Personeel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Service uitstekend! Niets was te veel voor ze. Zeker een aanrader en wij zijn van plan de volgende keer ook hier te boeken en te eten. Er wordt ook rekening gehouden met allergieën en intoleranties. Sfeer is ook prettig. Je zit echt aan het strand pal tegenover de watertuin. Douche is niet wat je gewend bent in Nederland. Komt door lage waterdruk daar. Ook het water drinken raad ik af. In VK ruikt het altijd naar chloor. Ik neem een fles bronwater mee om tabletten in te nemen en koffie te zetten.

Laura (10/5): Highly recommend for your stay in Great Yarmouth - So well located, comfortable room (we had a free upgrade to a sea view - it was out of season - January)! We visited as we had a relative in hospital at James Pagent who we were visiting. The staff were great big shout out to Julie and the breakfast team were also great! Just a short walk to the bars, restaurants and attractions of Great Yarmouth. Hotel has a big car park, however the driveway entrance is a little tight, if you’ve a big wide car you may find it a bit scary, locate the wing mirror fold in button 😅 Nothing!

Donnie (10/5): A place to return to time and time again - As our family lives in Great Yarmouth we We have stayed at many hotels over the years (and worked in some as a child in the area) this is by far the best. Great spacious warm rooms, large comfy beds. We stayed in room 12 which had an amazing sea view and seats and table in the bay window. We sat there after a day out sipping our tea and coffee that were in the room. Great breakfast (sausages were delicious) ALL the staff were polite and helpful. After a night out visiting parents when we got back to hotel there was a nice buzz with people eating in the restaurant and sitting in the bar. Plenty of parking in its own car park out the back. We will 100% stay here again and not waste time trying other places out. Couldn’t fault

Parking was a bonus and the price was very reasonable would definitely stay here again Short walk to facilities.. Nothing really... everything was spot on...

Everywhere so clean. Bar area lovely and relaxing with plenty on comfy chairs. Bedroom nice. Comfy bed. Few minutes walk to pier. free Parking at rear. Pretty outside seating area overlooking the front. Silly little things….we stayed in room 20. Toilet holder behind so kept twisting back. My twin bed was near wall and headboard Kept banging on radiator behind it every time I moved. Tubing on bottom of blinds kept banging against both window frames all night with breeze. More snack choice on menu as I not big eater at night, would like to have eaten every night at the hotel but no sandwich choices, panini, or baked pot etc. it does state no lifts but didn’t quite expect as many stairs to climb and would request a room on first floor if come again.

David (9/5): Very homely , welcoming , great food , excellent breakfast choice literally over the road from beach - Julie went out of her way to make sure we were looked after Nothing really , the entrance to car park is incredibly narrow you may have trouble with a van.
Paul (10/5): - I chose the Minced Beef freshly made Pie of the day and it was delicious, served with an option of fries or mash potato and a medley of seasonal vegetable. The portion size was more than adequate, the bedroom and shower were spotlessly clean and a nice hot shower with an assortment of shower gels etc. The bedroom was supplied with tea/coffee, I will return. The Manager, needs to be more pleasant when dealing with his clients, the reason for this, I left my receipt for the food/drinks on the table where I had eaten. I asked the next morning for a copy for work and it wasn't a nice asking him for a replacement. :-(

John (8/5): Good choice in Great Yarmouth - Fantastic breakfast as well as a very good evening meal in the restaurant, All staff very friendly and helpful. Was given room 4, which is a very small twin room. It was an incredibly hot room, and we struggled to reduce heat from the radiator. Bathroom was tiny but functional. Others in our party told us that their rooms were very good, so just unlucky with the room allocated. However, everything else about the hotel was great.

Emily (7/5): - Loved the location. We were looking over onto the Venetian Waterways, which are always stunning no matter what time of year it is. The breakfast was amazing and with plenty to choose from, too. The bar was a welcome retreat before seeing the show we had booked and the staff were very friendly. The water pressure and cold water from the shower. We were on the top floor, and with it being the middle of December, a hot shower was definitely needed. However, it was impossible to get the water warmer than tepid. A rather speedy shower was taken, but it didn't dampen our spirits.
