Eric (8/5): Wonderful, comfortable, and restful. - Staff went out of their way to help us!! We have a lot of friends there now. Breakfast food was absolutely wonderful. The plumbing could use some improvement. Had to wait a while for warm water. Toilet did not want to flush several times. I think this is because the building is old and renovation is not a possibility. I don't blame management for the plumbing situation.
Kiri (8/5): Good location and (mostly) friendly staff - 📍Location: pretty central and a 3-min walk to Train Street and Hang Da market. Grabs to the Old Quarter took 5-10mins. 🛌 the room was a decent size with a single and double bed which were very comfy. Room was quiet despite proximity to street. Plenty of hangers and storage space. 🧼 Amenities: Fridge, hairdryer and kettle in room. Selection of teabags and toiletries available. 🍳Breakfast was great with a decent selection of fruit, bakery, salad, yogurts, cold meats, hot food, and an egg station. The hotel was practical, well located and suited our needs. The gym was basic but had a couple of treadmills and some free weights. The front desk staff were great and super amenable to several requests from my mum. 💳 5% charge for the liberty of paying by card which seemed like a total rip off and had I known I’d have paid in advance on booking.com and saved £20! 🚿 Bathroom: had a really funky smell which was there whenever we entered the room - we ended up buying a couple of air fresheners as it was so bad. Shower sprayed in every direction. The housekeeping staff were a bit less friendly and asking for additional towels seemed to irk them and they gave up replenishing coffee and clean cups and spoons about 4 days into our stay🤪

We highly recommend, especially if you are taking the train to or from Hanoi, it’s super close to the station (and the train street) Their gym might need an upgrade but they also share with every guest that there is another gym 3 mins walk down the street!

Jackie (9/5): Great rooms and nice staff - We organised our stay months in advance and were in contact via WhatsApp with Aimee after booking, as I had a few questions before flying to Hanoi. She was fantastic, very helpful and responsive. She also arranged our trip to Ha Long Bay and the boat cruise, which was absolutely wonderful. The other ladies at the front desk were great as well, though I’ve unfortunately forgotten their names. We stayed on the 5th floor and the room was excellent and spacious, with a queen bed and a single bed. We had a view overlooking the road and surrounding buildings. Fresh bottles of water were provided daily, the room was clean, and the shower was very good. Breakfast was buffet-style, with omelettes, fried eggs, and other items made to order. Everything was fresh and enjoyable. We did have a small issue with some “lost” property, but the hotel handled it superbly. I really couldn’t fault the front desk team or the breakfast staff. Location is really good too. Mattress is a bit firm

Es gibt warmes und kaltes und alles ist frisch. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber, das Bad war groß und es gab genug Ablagefläche. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich hatte mir den Fuß etwas vertreten und mir wurde Eis zum kühlen auf mein Zimmer gebracht. Am nächsten Tag wurde sich erkundigt ob es mir gut geht. Ich habe dieses Hotel schon zum zweiten Mal gebucht und kann es zu hunderprozent empfehlen. Vielen Dank für den guten Aufenthalt.

Nolan (10/5): Wonderful hotel in Hanoi! - Loved our stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, short walking distance from the Hanoi Train Street and Old Quarter Night Market. Our rooms were wonderful and came with 2 complimentary water bottles. The staff were very kind and welcoming, a big thank you to Aimee, Paul, Tom, Ellie, and Jullie for the amazing hospitality! The included breakfast was delicious every morning. The hotels gave us some discounts on select spas nearby too. Not much I can say I disliked about it, it’s a great hotel we chose in the center of Hanoi!

Jade (4/5): - Positives- staff were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check in a little early and provided us with breakfast as we checked out early for our flight. Breakfast had a decent selection and the location of the hotel was 15mins from the Hoan Kiem lake and the Opera house, and less than 10 minutes from train street which was very convenient. Negatives- the cleanliness of our hotel room could've been better. We noticed floors had not been cleaned during our four day stay, despite us asking for the room to be cleaned. The towels were old and frayed and needed a refresh. The shower had black mould and the bathroom walls also had mould which could've been removed with a wipe. On the first day there was also dirt and dust behind the door on the bathroom floor, which we cleaned. We also found two to three mosquitoes in the bathroom during our stay and two 1 to 2cm cockroaches. The elevator as well as the room also had a faint musty smell. We noticed this smell was stronger on rainy days.

MICHEL (9/5): Super hôtel avec un excellent service, on s’y sent bien. - Très bon accueil. Les services d’organisation de tours sont de très bonne qualité. Nous avons fait Lan Ha Bay et Ninh Binh. A recommander. Pour cela, Tom à l’accueil est plein de conseils et à notre écoute. L’un des meilleurs petits déjeuners que nous ayons eu au Vietnam. Ouvert dès 6h30, pratique pour les excursions qui partent à 7h.

Zsolt Róbert (10/5): Hanoi felfedezése - Nagyon jó elhelyezkedésű hotel az Óvárosban. A híres train street csak 5 perc.Kilépve az ajtón az ember egyből a forgatagba találja magát. Viszont ennek ellenére a szoba csendes volt..A személyzet kiemelkedően barátságos és segítőkész-pénzváltás,árfolyam,taxi....Finom reggeli bő választékkal. Elvileg lakosztályt foglaltunk ami egy hálóból illetve egy kis nappaliból állt volna-a visszaigazolásban is ez szerepelt. Viszont csak egy nagy szobát kaptunk- igaz egy dupla illetve egy szimpla ággyal. Kérdésemre ,hogy ez miért történt azt a választ kaptam, hogy a booking oldalán fennlévő infók/képek egy kicsit hibásak. Plusz a fürdőszobát csak belülről lehetett egy külön tolózárral becsukni,kilincsel nem.Hozzáteszem részünkről ez semmilyen problémát nem okozott,inkább csak a pontos információk miatt írtam le.

Zustand & Feuchtigkeit großes Problem - • Sehr freundliches und engagiertes Personal • Mitarbeiter geben sich große Mühe, dass sich Gäste wohlfühlen • Gute Lage, nur ca. 50 m von der Train Street entfernt • Frühstück war überraschend lecker • Schnelle Reaktion auf Probleme (neuer Duschkopf wurde direkt installiert) • Große Balkone vorhanden • Straßenlärm bei geschlossener Tür kaum hörbar • Sehr hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit im Zimmer (alles fühlt sich nass an) • Schimmel im Bad und in der Dusche • Kaputte bzw. schlecht funktionierende Dusche • Kaum Luftzirkulation → Schlafqualität schlecht • Klimaanlage bringt kaum Verbesserung • Kleidung und Gepäck werden feucht • Auch Flur und Aufzug sehr feucht • Balkontür schließt nicht richtig → viele Mücken im Zimmer • Hotel wirkt alt und stark renovierungsbedürftig • Mehrfache Namenswechsel wirken unseriös • „Fitnessraum“ eher ein Abstellraum mit alten Geräten • Preis-Leistung passt nicht zu einem 4-Sterne-Hotel • Insgesamt eher 2–3 Sterne Niveau

bhat (8/5): decent - the location was good. the room was a bit small though it had a terrace attached to it. the breakfast service was okay. could have been better - specially the tea and coffee options. there was no concept of hot milk being available. also one had to wait for crockery

Julie (10/5): Great hotel, well located and fabulous staff. - My family travelled from Australia and Europe to celebrate a family event. We stayed at San Premium Hotel for 6 nights and it proved to be a great choice. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the hotel well located. The staff were so lovely and helped to make this a memorable event. Our sincere thanks to Aimee, Julie, Alex and all the hotel staff. Highly recommended. Everything was great.
Sara ELF (2/5): Catastrophic - The staff! And that’s it Disclaimer: The hotel staff is very helpful and kind, and they did their best during the stay. However, the hotel itself is unfortunately in a catastrophic condition, and I genuinely do not understand the high rating on Booking. It looks nothing like the photos presented online. I would like to warn anyone intending to book this hotel: the rating seems high but does not reflect reality at all. The hotel is very old (which is not the main issue), but it is poorly maintained. The room smelled strongly of moisture and humidity. The AC was dusty and clearly not maintained; there were visible humidity stains on the walls and in the bathroom. The room door was very difficult to close, requiring force and making a lot of noise. The door lock was not working. The bathroom door handle was loose, and the bathroom also showed clear signs of humidity damage. Towels were very old and worn out, with a grayish color. Only bath towels and very small hand towels were provided. A floor towel was not always provided. The toilet seat was loose and slipped when sitting, which is unsafe. There were strange bugs in the room, some crawling onto the bed. Mosquitoes were present in the hallway, and even worse, there was a lizard. The room lighting was very weak, especially since there are no real windows. The internet was slow. There were no proper windows in the room. The lobby had an unpleasant smell, similar to rotten eggs. Finally, after returning home, we got sick, which we strongly believe was due to the dirty AC and excessive humidity. Overall, despite the kind staff, I cannot recommend this hotel at all.

Megan Rose (9/5): Great staff, amazing location and would stay again. - The staff were absolutely amazing, they had great information about things to do, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The breakfast was nice, with the added bonus of freshly cooked eggs every morning. The room was huge, the bed was comfortable and the location is perfect. For anyone looking to walk about Hanoi, this is the hotel to be in. The old town is less than 10 minutes away, the temple of literature is walkable and the food choices nearby are great. The also sorted out a taxi to the airport for us at a really good price, so I recommend using this service with them too. The breakfast was great - a little more variety would be nice, but that’s me being picky! In the first room we had, the shower head was a bit annoying, the smaller one didn’t seem to have the strength to hold itself up and kept falling off, and the bigger ceiling one leaked and the water was hitting the shower wall and cascading down it. This left some mould on the tiles which could easily be addressed by changing the two shower heads. Other than that, the stay was good. We checked out and did a trip to Ha Long for one night, and when we checked back in the next day, the shower in the new room was much better, and they upgraded us which we were super grateful for. I would definitely choose to stay again.
