laszlow650 (10/5): Unplanned visit - Needed to stay in Addis for a day, because we had some issues with a flight delay. The Food and the Service was fantastisch in any way. The Hotel Transfer was easy and very relaxed. The Staff is super friendly and our Room was allready ready in a few minutes. I’d recommend the Sidra Hotel in any way. Binyam bester Mann💪🏼🤝🏼

Linda (6/5): - The room was bright, clean and spacious with extra seating and a balcony. However, the outdoor traditional coffee seating area smelled so strongly of sewer that we could not sit there. The sewer smell came up through the bathroom floor and shower drains into my room at night. The bathroom was very dark and in need of an upgrade. I reported that my sink stopper would not open to allow the water to drain and it took an entire afternoon before someone came to fix it. I was given only one choice for breakfast each day.. an omelet, along with the salad offerings at the buffet. The dining room wait staff was not attentive and I had to wait long periods of time before I got my bill. Finally, the power went out when I was in the elevator and I was trapped with no way to get out.

mohammedaY2764YY (8/5): Very good - After eight years away from my home country, I spent more than three weeks at Sidra hotel on a family vacation. The staff is fantastic and very welcoming. The free breakfast is fantastic, with Ethiopian options and meals for foreigners available, as well as a professional and friendly chef who always ensures his guests are enjoying his food and checks to see if anything is missing. I enjoyed my entire stay there and am already missing the morning steam and sauna with free foot massages from professional girls. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is repairing the shower equipment because it floods the bath room when taking a shower, and the gym equipment at the treadmill is getting old.

The food in the restaurant was excellent, and I had numerous meetings with people here and in the coffee shop. The room was also great, except several items were not working in the room. In spite of that, we got very good value and will definitely come back here again. The staff offer excellent service.
514zachariam (8/5): Sidra hotel stay - Sidra Hotel is a great facility, a short distance from Bole Airport with free shuttle to and fro for their guests. Rooms are large and clean with terrace, The staff is always available and very helpful. good breakfast and dinner with room service, wifi available. SPA area is also very nice with free leg massage early in the morning.
Ingi (2/5): Worst night ever. - The toilet leaked water the whole time all over the floor.feom.the bottom. They tried siliconing it rather than fixing it. They have no generator and Addis Ababa was having frequent power outages. The room was full.of.mosquitoes and at night i needed my cell to light myself to get to the bathroom. It went dead by morning as I was unable to charge it.
Trek16977316896 (10/5): Best Hotel in Addis Ababa - We had an absolutely amazing time at Turnpike Lodge. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. I would like express my gratitude to Jemes Night Manager, Rediet and Selam Abe. Amazing people and very professional. I would recommend anyone travelling to Addis Ababa to stay at Sidra International Hotel. Keep up the good work. Many thanks to the Manager and the Team. giuliav495 (10/5): Great accomodation close to the airport - Sidra Hotel is a great facility, it is in a good location near the airport area. Rooms are large and clean with terrace, staff is always available and very helpful. There is free airport shuttle, good breakfast and dinner service, functioning shower and wifi available. SPA area is also very nice.

But most of all the service was nothing but 5 star all the stuff members are amazing. I want to mention this three stuff members Bini, Tison and Rahel thank you so much.

In terms of the hotel itself, its neat and clean 24/7, rooms are great, resturant is amazing, and the outside coffee shed is the best way to start your day.

Namweene (6/5): My SIDRA Stay - Wonderful and helpful staff. Great variety of food at breakfast. Loved the papaya and melon juices served for breakfast. Just needs a little consistency on maintenance on things like lights, deep cleaning of floor rags and chairs in the rooms. Some bedsheets are torn need replacing. Otherwise great place if you’re looking for affordable accommodation with airport tranfers.

abebe_afework (4/5): Poor customer service at the spa - I went to use spa service there. Though two men were leaving as I enter, I was the only one in the spa for more than 1 hour. The place looks good. But no one is available out there to help. I called the person at reception and she replied she is coming, she never did. That is strange. The toilet in the spa is also not good. Needs improvement on customer handling

Gillange (10/5): Great place to stay outside of the inner city - The hotel staff is the friendliest I’ve ever had! Even though it isn’t a perfect place I felt very safe, beautiful view, and the room were so comfortable. If I come back to Addis I will be staying here again!
Angela (10/5): Nice hotel with spa facilities and amazing breakfast - The hotel has a lovely onsite spa and beauty centre. ATM'a are outside if you need cash. The breakfast buffet was very nice with Ethiopian and Western food choices and you can also order eggs which the chef will make to taste. Communication is basic and some of the réception staff have difficulty speaking English. The standard room is a bit small but the deluxe was very nice. Ordering room service didn't work as they had nothing available.. Not sure what the situation is there.. Manager was helpful and is looking at improving the communication issues. All in all a lovely stay and I will definitely return to this hotel next time.

I love the Hotel the Staff The security and amazing manager.. young man just outstanding person. Merlin Lorna (10/5): COVID-19 Ethiopia Haven - Superbly SAFE. This is the hospitality ambiance that I experienced during my extended stay at Sidra International Hotel. The one glitch in my mini COVID-19 UNEXPECTED Ethiopian Vacation will have to be electricity cuts in the city, which also affected the hotel's WiFi. The property did have a generator which was put into action for EVERY OUTAGE. The super points of Sidra lies in management and staff. They catered to and exceeded my every need. The food and beverage crew and the beautiful ladies in the Spa makes Sidra a fancy choice at a moderate price. A stay at Sidra also includes free mini-gym access. After a sweaty workout, Sidra guests are entitled to DAILY FREE sauna or steam room visits and foot rubs. All other spa services are listed in a more than affordable menu. Be sure to book your next stay at Sidra International, but don't get too spoiled with the TRUE ETHIOPIAN KINDNESS AND PAMPERING 🤗😉.

The basic room was almost like a suite, with a small sitting area and a balcony with table and chairs. Only downside is location, there are not alot of places to walk to, have to take a taxi for the most part as it is on the outskirts of Bole.

The GM Mr. Beleta is a awesome guy as well as his Assistant Ms. Yemi!! They are a awesome team and i would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel...I have stayed here 4 times already and will be back again next month

Very central location to major markets, offices, and city centers. Hotel is very clean, safe and quiet. Overall it has a lot going on for this hotel. One minor improvement i would highly recommend, fix the standing showers plastic floors in room 301 and 501. Get a more steady shower floor, than the inexpensive plastic/risen material. I gave it 3/5.

Shirley (8/5): Good value - From pick up.to departure the hotel staff were very good. We opted for a local hotel to get more of a flavour of the country and I am glad that we did. My sister needed her shoe repaired and it was done in 15 minutes. We felt safe at all times. The only problem was with the bathroom maintenance., as the shower pan leaked all over the floor and the fixtures were loose.

Sergei (8/5): Good value for money - I booked this hotel because it was close to a place of my business meetings and had good feedback. - Any time you want the staff to solve an issue, the response is, "no problem". Whether the issue is solve, is another topic. For example, I did not get a card to open my room, and it was "no problem": they would either send somebody with a master key to unlock the room, or give me the master key, every time. Or I needed a taxi in the morning at a particular time, and it was "no problem"; whether there was a taxi or not is another topic. The complimentary shuttle did not pick me up as they promised, arrived only after I called from the airport; the manager sent a fruit platter to our room later which was nice - Breakfast is complimentary and mostly Ethiopian (shiro, injera, firfir) plus some salads; you can order omelet as well. Coffee is instant (which is a shame in Ethiopia). Juices are diluted. - Sauna and foot massage are complimentary, but I did not use them. - The sky bar on the rooftop was closed - If you intend to have lunch and dinner, be ready to get not exactly what you ordered and somewhat overpriced by Ethiopian standards (for example, having a dinner at Abyssinia restaurant would be much better) - Internet is complimentary, but it is on and off frequently, and the speed varies Overall it is a good value for money - decent hotel with decent food and services. If you want to have better food, internet, service, you may want to choose another (higher category) hotel

Amer (6/5): Needs improvement - There is no AC in the room so I had to keep the toilet window open to mention the room temperate but I faced the problem of having mosquitos inside the room. Room is very small, carpet was not clean & towels were "gray". Stuff were very friendly & tried to do their best.
Arik A (6/5): Interesting Hotel in Addis Ababa - Wifi: This hotel has Wifi but the Wifi cannot connect to Facebook, Whatsapp, YouTube... Its basically worthless and frustrating. Location: The hotel is not within the central business district. You need a taxi to visit most of the places. If you allow the front desk to call you one, the charge will be double (300 Bir) to go to the city. You can however step out of the hotel gate and flag your own taxi and pay 150 Bir. Room: The room I took was slightly higher than the others (room with city views). So you would think it would be better. This room faces the hotel main gate, does not have AC and gets quite hot. The city views is based on iron roofed houses. Interesting enough, the rooms that don't face the main gate have more ventilation and life. Room Cleanliness: This was disappointing as you'd find left over people's hairs. The hotel does not change bed sheets and also you have to keep on requesting for simple toiletries such as tissues. Would I recommend you to stay at this hotel? Yes, probably. Just don't expect the experience to be excellent/great. Also master the art of bargaining with the taxi that the hotel provides you. If they tell you 300 Bir, the price is definitely 150 Bir. The hotel offers complimentary rides to and from the airport. If you need one, call them directly even if it's two hours before your arrival. They'll be there. However, when you arrive in the Airport, walk all the way out to where the public are. The driver will have a sign for you.
Verified traveler (8/5): I would stay again but.... - Location of the hotel is good except there is traffic noise a little at night and early morning. If they had installed dual pane windows it would have been limited but the amenities and price compensate for it unless you are really bothered by noise. Expedia listing shows two queen beds but they are two doubles. I asked the reception too they confirm that they don't have Queens. Other than that they have a good clean hotel worth the money
Megan (8/5): Nice stay. - I have to admit that I do normally stay in a little more high end hotels. I was in Addis the same time as the African Summit, so there was almost nothing available. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The service was great. The breakfast was fine. I'd probably stay here again. The towels were a bit dodgy though.

Rolf (6/5): Lässt einiges zu wünschen übrig - Sauberkeit des Zimmer war mehr als mangelhaft. Essen im Restaurant war gut, aber das Frühstück ist nicht zu empfehlen. Der sogenannte "Nachtclub" war eine dunkele Bar in der oberste Etage und war geöffnet von 17.00 bis 23.00 Uhr.die Lage ist ruhig, wird aber sehr viel gebaut und ist laut tagsüber.. das Personal ist sehr freundlich, wie in jedem Hotel in Addis Abeba. Gut ist, das man alleine auf die Straße gehen kann, ohne das man angebettelt wird. Um die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen nimmt man am besten ein Taxi. 5 Stunden ca. 20 Euro

The complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones I've had with a nice mix of local and more mainstream dishes. Overall, I have no complaints and Sidra Hotel greatly exceeded my expectations.

I confirmed at the reception that no room has bathtub in this hotel and disappointed. Spa and restaurant facility is quite good, but stuff at spa was not friendly and restaurant service was not convenient enough because waitress was not always serving at the restaurant located at the 1st floor, but also at the bar at the ground floor. I believe that the hotel should well consider the improvement for the management of service.

Catherine (8/5): - Hôtel à recommander. bien situé sur une artère importante mais avec peu de circulation comparée à d'autres artères dans addis. Seul désagrément les aboiements des chiens des environs certaines nuits à cause des entrepôts autour de l'hôtel et des chiens errants.

Uitgebreide spa voorzieningen. Gym aanwezig. Op 8 minuten van de luchthaven. Rustige omgeving. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en goede service. Ik heb veel hotels in Addis Abeba uitgeprobeerd, maar Sidra steekt er duidelijk bovenuit.
Landry (10/5): Excellent customer service !!! - The hotel staff and the general manager, Ashenafi, were outstanding - always making sure all my needs were taken care of. They are very friendly and courteous. It's the BEST hotel for the price/service. And the room are spacious.
Pazion (10/5): A place that feels home! - I choose to stay at Sidra after reading the positive feedbacks and reviews from clients that stayed there previously. In my frequent travel, reading individual’s first-hand experience is very important to me. And, I am very satisfied with my stay at Sidra. My semi-work-visit trip has made fuller because of the experience at Sidra. The staff, from front desk to cafeteria to housekeeping are extremely helpful! I arrived a bit earlier to check-in, they have accommodated every request I made. From providing airport shuttle, full-breakfast, and free WiFi, the hotel is a better choice for the money. The location is closer to 22 mazoria, in a neighborhood called lem-hotel. Currently the street that connects from the main road is under construction ( my only disappointment), but hopefully it will be completed before my next trip. But, it is easily accessible and closer to many locations, including bole and megenagna. ( and a contract cab (Taxi’s) was easy to arrange with the front desk, also there are plenty of taxis in a 2 minutes walking distance) Another feature I liked about the place is, it has a sense of tranquility while located in the midst of the city. Unlike many hotels I stayed in Addis, the rooms at Sidra are quiet and equipped with balcony. The terrace ( although quiet) provides with a view of the city and a music played by a dj. I also used the massage service and the gym, which is decent! I will definitely go back to it! Than you for making my experience richer!

Solo traveler (6/5): A nice hotel with SPA - It appeared small cozy hotel. Staff was very helpful in many way. However, I saw the sign of lack of maintenance in hotel. Window of my room had big clack. This was probably a part of reason I woke up every morning neighboring dog barking. In addition, there were a few structural problem. The wall between rooms and corridor is relatively thin so that I can hear people in corridor or other rooms. I can smell some food from kitchen in the evening (I was two floor above restaurant). Towel in the bath room were not exactly white but a bit grey. Only bath towel was provided (no hand towel). Ceiling lamp did not work; alarm clock needed batteries; the room safe needed a new key as the previous guest brought the key with them. I motioned the above three point to the reception but they were not fixed during my stay (2 nights). I also request to change the room for the first night but no extra room was available. Therefore I was promised next day for change. It never happened. Staff communication needs to be improved between day shift to night shift. Breakfast time was set between 6:30 - 10:00. However it was never prepared until 7:30 or 8:00.
