Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff were very helpful and very pleasant. They helped us in booking our transport and made sure we were brought to and from the hotel safely. The food was good too.
Sithavinn (8/5): Quick Stay - It was a nice hotel for a short stay. The employees were helpful, they set up our phones with sims cards for purchase. The breakfast was good with different choices. You can only get 1 cup of coffee per person, if you want seconds, you have to pay for it. It is quiet in the room and in the hallways do you don’t have to worry about noise. Tuk and tuk and grab.com are available right outside hotel. I used grab.com, it is much cheaper than tuk tuk and no bargaining required; grab is like Uber. You can set it up using the app and credit/debit card. Cons: There are some negative things. One, the bed sheets and blanket. The bed sheets had stains and the brown blanket looked old. Two, the edge of room was a little dusty. Three, we booked a room with balcony/patio, we did not get that. I asked Mr. Heng the next day about it, he said it was taken already. However, the next they offered us the room with balcony, I kindly said no because I only had 1 more night to go and did not feel like packing up just for one night.

Rooms are a good size, hot water and cold a/c, pleasant pool and good value with breakfast and laundry. Staff are helpful and good location to get to most places. There were building works going on next door (which pretty standard in PP) but didnt seem to be much noise

Verified traveler (10/5): - It is an old style, charming hotel. The staff are excellent at helping out tourists. They went out of their way to help me with various issues. There are numerous geckos which are good for pest control and chirp lullabies to sing the patrons to sleep. The menu is simple with both Asian and European choices. There is a small pool for kids and adults. There is a guard watching the front entrance who also picks mangoes from the trees during the day. Dining is open air. Although, there is a meeting room that could be used as a dining area during the stormy parts of the monsoon season. The rooms are cleaned everyday and the hotel encourages patrons to conserve water. Reasonable laundry is free.

Shirley M (10/5): A hidden gem with outstanding service - I've always stayed in Hotel Anise every time I come to Phnom Penh and I thought I reserved the same hotel but I booked Anise Villa. This is newer of the two and I liked it very much. It's everything that Hotel Anise is but better in many ways. It has a swimming pool, a poolside bar, a gym and a spa. The staff is just amazing!
Mark (8/5): - Anise Villa is in a quiet part of Phnom Penh just a little south of all the action. We liked the area as there were numerous restaurants and coffe places close by (both Starbucks and Brown Coffee) and placed right in between the Russian Market and Bassaac Lane. We really liked the location, the immediate neighborhood and the hotel itself.
Shane (8/5): Good Value Hotel - Nice and accommodating hotel that was on the edge of walkabikity to things. I like walking and exploring so this was not a problem. The room doors and walls did not always keep noise out from the hallways and general hotel if you want to sleep in. The restaurant was good and the staff worked hard to make sure the stay was pleasant.

Jessica (8/5): - Nice, cozy property on a quiet street in a busy city. Atmosphere is intimate with not much space between pool and dining, so you'll be on display. It's a little farther away from the hustle and bustle of other hotels and tourist attractions, but still not that far. We stayed because we're familiar with the city having lived there previously and didn't mind being a little farther away from the crowds.

The hotel initially messed up the airport pick up arrangements, but they certainly made up for that during our stay. The staff us friendly, nice and eager to help us. There were many didfeeent breakfast options, fresh juices, fresh fruit and good coffee. They also do laundry for free (5 pieces/person/day), which was a very nice additional our stay. Rooms were spacious and clean and location was superb. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Phnom Penh, since the service you get is well above the price you pay.

The pools good after long hot sunny days followed by ice bear to relax. The rooms are large clean and great showers. The free 24hr laundry service is a real bonus.

James (10/5): Home away from home... - First time to Phnom Penh and Anise Villa was a perfect choice for my home away from home. The hotel was very quaint. The price was right, the rooms were comfy and the staff friendly and attentive. The manager even upgraded me to a room with balcony. Didn't get to use the pool but it looked inviting. Breakast was included and I have to say the fried rice was delicious! Tuk tuks were available curbside if I needed to go anywhere, but there were other shops and restaurants nearby. One thing that stood out was you could have 5 pieces of clothing laundered per day. That was an awesome perk! I'd recommend Anise Villa and would definitely stay again! Awkun! Jim from Hawaii
Barbara (10/5): Very nice stay - Friendly and quiet hotel. Nice staff who work hard. I stayed in a comparable hotel (rated 4 stars) in Phnom Penh and preferred this hotel. It is not exactly located where all the tourists may go, but nothing is far or hard to get to in Phnom Penh, by tuk-tuk or taxi.

Hostel feel with a room for borrowing books and dvds. Free laundry was a huge perk. Driver to/from airport can be scheduled for $12 each way. Overall very comfortable and cute little hotel.
Rachel (8/5): Retreat from the Hustle and Bustle of the CitY - We had a great stay at Anise. The hotel organised private drivers for us to Battambang and coordinated the tours of the city hustle free. The only downside of the hotel was a very firm bed. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay there again.
Gregory (10/5): Highly Recomended - This is our 3rd stay at this hotel. We get to travel and stay in various places but this is one of the best. The team are fantastic and always make you feel like you are at home. It is extremely clean and well kept. The breakfast included has a great selection and varieties you can choose from. It is in a quiet location in Phnom Penh but just 5 minutes in a Tuk Tuk and you are at the city centre with the river and the markets. However, we found plenty of places to eat around the area as well. We will be back when we return.

We have enjoyed great homestyle meals and daily breakfast, and having free washing daily is fantastic. we will be sad to leave their wonderful hospitality but definitely will be returning on our next trip to Phnom Penh in the future.
Heidi (10/5): Best place to stay in Phnom Penh - We stayed here for 6 nights with our 2 children. It was so wonderful, we even extended our time here. Everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel was lovely and peaceful, the rooms were large, perfectly clean and the beds were comfortable. Bottled water was provided everyday and included in the price was 5 pieces of laundry per person per day! The pool is great for cooling off after sightseeing. The food is amazing, fresh and delicious. Best, however, is the staff. Each person made us feel at home, determined to make our stay a good one. They also helped book our trips, giving great advice on how to spend our time in Phnom Penh. The hotel is well located, outside the main tourist area, but convenient to all the sights. There are always tuk tuks outside to take you anywhere. I recommend this hotel strongly.
John (8/5): Lovely Boutique Hotel - lovely Boutique hotel. Beautiful pool area. Great food and service in the restaurant. A bit of a walk to the major sites, but everything in easy reach by Tuk Tuk. We loved this place.
marilyn (10/5): A great place to stay - The hotel is located on a side street near a main thoroughfare but far enough away to to escape traffic noise. Places of interest are within walking distance or an inexpensive tuk tuk ride away. The rooms are spacious, light and airy, the bathrooms well appointed and the beds comfortable. An added bonus is a free same day laundry service ( 5 items per person per day. Anise Villa also has a small pool, ideal for cooling down after a day's sightseeing. The restaurant serves well priced local and Western food. Local dishes were delicious and the bar staff mix an excellent Margerita. Overall the Anise Villa is a great( and popular) hotel with delightful staff who can and will organise what ever you want. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our only regret was not being able to stay longer.
Alan (6/5): Ok Villa, but nothing special. Adequate. - Room 105. Room had no view, barbedwire and wall to look at. Bed was hard, basically a mattress on a concrete base. Toiletries basic and tiny. Shower excellent. Gym tiny and with cheap looking equipment. Staff don't really smile. Breakfast portions small. AC good and effective. TV good with decent channel selection.
Cathie (8/5): Nice hotel-- away from the action - The hotel itself if lovely--- nice grounds, nice staff and the food was tasty. Absolutely no complaints. If one wants to spend time in the city center, this isn't the place. Yes, one can take a tuk-tuk for a couple bucks, but that means hassling with a tuk-tuk, fighting brutal Phenom Penh traffic again and again. It gets weary after awhile and the easiest way to avoid that is to stay closer where no tuk-tuk is needed. If you don't want to stay near the action-- this is a great choice. There are restaurants near by-- and the food in the hotel is very good.
Ellyce (10/5): Lovely Experience - The Anise Villa is an oasis of tranquility in Phnom Penh. The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street behind security doors, but once inside it is quiet, charming and very comfortable. My daughter and I stayed in a superior room with two standard double beds, which were very comfortable. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Breakfast, which was included, was great with a number of "order off a menu" alternatives - so everything was fresh and delicious. They made a great cup of coffee which I really appreciated. Free "same day" laundry service (limited number of items per person) was a fabulous inclusion - our cloths came back clean and smelling great. The hotel staff was excellent, helping us book a car service to a little used boarder crossing with Viet Nam - this was really helpful. Finally, the tuk tuk driver, right outside the hotel, was excellent and took us everywhere we wanted to go. He was safe, efficient and very accommodating. Overall, the hotel was a great experience and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a great place in Phnom Penh.

We also felt safe here as the hotel is within a 'compound' sort of system with a man on the front gate at all times. We also loved sitting by the pool and drinking $2 cocktails!!! And the coffee was some of the best we had on our trip. Would recommend this hotel very much!!! Thanks for a really great stay :)
Kenneth (8/5): Good stay but staff could be more flexible - Stayed at hotel for one night but the hotel was very nice. Security was excellent. Breakfast was very good with many options on the set menu. Only negative with the hotel was the hotel was not flexible with a late checkout! I have been to Cambodia many times and this is only hotel that would not work with me on a late checkout. With many flights to the US leaving around midnight there is a lot of time to kill and you can't shower before you leave1

david (10/5): A gem of a boutique hotel - stayed 2nights in July with my wife and 2 teenage sons at this oasis of a hotel in the secure embassy district. The staff were extremely helpful, made our stay very relaxing before we travelled on to Siem Reap. Breakfast end evening meals were delicious, taken next to the pool in the tranquil garden. Slept soundly, rooms well appointed and tastefully decorated. Would not hesitate to return.
Laura (10/5): Excellent hôtel in Phnom Penh - My stay at the Anise Villa was perfect. The terrace with the swimming pool is very pleasant and the staff is really exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable, and the free laundry very convenient (we can have 5 pieces at the laundry per day for free). I also recommend you their restaurant, the food is fresh and tasty and they serve both western and Cambodian food. I highly recommend you this hotel if you're looking for a peaceful and comfortable place in Phnom Penh! The hotel is located in a quiet street without the annoying noise of the traffic which is very convenient. I am actually staying at the Anise Hotel, the sister property of the Anise Villa, and the quality is as good!
