Guest Reviews
- Janet (10/5): - A great location for visiting the local area. A lovely b&b, looked after by
an exceptional landlady who tries her upmost to give everything you might need. Would thoroughly recommend
- GP (8/5): - Welcoming with a homely feel .lovely hostess.
Room spacious.
Very clean accommodation
Shared small shower/ toilet was just about ok bit of a squeeze!
Towels provided were small and a bit old/ thin, could have been better.
Tea tray not changed daily
Breakfast good but not alot of choice.
Parking easy in the village but not on site.
Overall enjoyed my stay and it was value for money.
- Sandra (8/5): A very pleasant stay - We were made very welcome, and so were our two dogs. Breakfasts were perfect (vegetarian) with lots on offer. The bed was comfortable and the landlady is very friendly and attentive.
- Andrea (10/5): - Lil was a very welcoming, understanding, pleasant, outgoing, friendly and lovely host. The breakfasts were very good to order with individual’s preferences. It was located within a quiet, safe, picturesque and friendly area with a very good pub opposite it. There was a lovely waterfall and a very good dog area nearby. The room was spacious enough, clean, tidy, comfortable, and everything was provided for. We really enjoyed our stay there, and we would definitely return again, if we were to visit that area in the future. NB. There are no parking spaces directly outside of the property, and there are double yellow lines there, however, there is free parking within the next road to the property, or free parking over the bridge to the area along the next road.
- Anthony (8/5): Good value - Good value B&B within easy reach of Snowdon but without the hoards of tourists. Interesting history to Trefriw and lots of walks. Good pubs for food in village. Clean and pleasant stay with friendly host. Definitely recommend. Just one observation, you wouldn't want to drink too much and lie on your back looking at the ceiling, the artex pattern makes the world spin. Lovely stay
- V (10/5): Lovely stay - Lovely welcoming host. Lovely breakfast. Lovely little village. Comfortable stay. Would return
- Eldho (10/5): - Very comfortable and affordable stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hostess was really friendly and helpful. She kindly cooked our breakfast at 8 rather than half 8. There's a free carpark near the hotel on the other side of the road.
- Pam (8/5): - Basic clean and comfortable accommodation. Suitable for walkers and hiking holidays. The oweners were very friendly and hospitable. Would defiantely sray there again...

- Alex (8/5): Nice b&b with an ideal location - We enjoyed our stay at Ty Newed very much. The House is old, but everything is functional and clean. Nice breakfast and a very welcoming host. The location is perfect in the middle of the old village. There are 2 pubs serving Nice traditional food and a small grocery in town. Don’t miss an afternoon beer in th garden of the Old Ship pub ! We did some fantastic mountain hikes directly from the House, as well as walking along the river to Llanwrst with the old Roman Bridge with the Tea House. highly recommendable.
- MR R (10/5): Lovely place - Comfy stay lovely people
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Place was so clean, breakfast so nice.30min drive from Snowdon and Zip wire.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful place, will return. - The hosts were fantastic, my bed was very comfortable and the room had all a guest could want, a fan, powerstrip, good hair dryer...one of the best breakfast's I have had in a long time and a great location. Close to the park, near eating establishments.
- Andrew (8/5): - Good location in village, with a standard cooked breakfast. The nearby Ship Inn is very good for an evening meal.
- Pauline (8/5): A comfortable stay. - Ty Newydd has a very welcoming relaxed atmosphere. The accommodation was kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast choice good - tasty porridge suited me but cooked looked and smelled tempting. My room was well equipped even if limited by being in an old welsh traditional house.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant stay - The room was lovely but a little dated. The hosts were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough.
- Tora (10/5): A lovely place to stay - Lovely friendly guesthouse in a beautiful location. Choice of two pubs - one directly opposite - both serving great food at a reasonable price.
Great breakfast comfy beds & plenty of room for us & our daughter.
- Helen (8/5): Friendly hotel in pretty village. - The hotel was very comfortable and the owner was very welcoming and helpful, she cooked a delicious breakfast each morning. There are lovely walks around the village and it's only a 20- 30 min walk into Llanwrst. The hotel was well situated to explore North Wales and only a few miles from Betws y Coed.
- neil (10/5): What's best is the warm welcome we will be back - The B and B is in a great spot nice and quiet with fairy falls right on the door stop. The owners are knowledgable about the surrounding area and nothing is to much trouble . Simply put we loved it and thank them very much for a lovely stay.
- Lucerna (10/5): Typical BB - We felt very welcome, could ask all the questions and enjoyed every day of our stay. Beautiful typical little village.
- Sharon (8/5): Friendly good value B+B - This B+B was perfect for what we wanted ,location was great as we came as a family to explore zip world near by.
The b+b was a little dated but sweet ,room was very clean and tidy tea coffee and biscuits fresh every day.And the bed was really comfy especially after a long walk up snowdon.
This location was great for us a very quiet village but had a pub right opposite where we ate every nite.
Breakfast was at 8.30 every morning where there was a variety of cereals, yogurts and fruit also followed by a full cooked breakfast which kept us going all day Friendly owners and very helpfull.we had a lovely stay and at a very good price.
- Esther (8/5): nice&clean room, nice breakfast - comfortable en-suite room, surprisingly big, clean and quiet area, 5 min drive to the nearby town with everything you need, good breakfast, friendly host

- Chris (8/5): Ty Newydd B&B - Our stay was very pleasant. The location was fantastic for easy access to surrounding attractions with the added benefit of a wide range interesting local walks.
- peeter (8/5): grat stay in Snowdonia - Pleasant stay in pictoresque landscape. good location in Snowdonia, easy to reach by car and a good place to start in any direction. hosts are extremely friendly and breakfast is traditionally british. so: good option if travelling by budget. great pub nearby to have dinner, as the BB does not servemeals otherwise.
- Eden (10/5): Exactly what you want for a good price. - Amazing value for money. Great host, super helpful. Lovely place.
- Gita (10/5): Nice hotel in Lovely area - I had excellent experience! It was my first visit to Wales with an attempt to go up to mount Snowdon and explore local area! From the moment I arrived Lillian ( owner of the hotel) greeted me as an old friend and made me feel very welcome! She has great knowledge of the area and can give advice about places to visit! The morning I was going up to the mountains I was in a hurry to finish breakfast to catch a local bus - Lillian made delicious breakfast and packed a toast for me to take away ( toast went all the way up to summit). There is a local bus Nr 19 stopping literary outside the hotel, which can take you to Betws y Coed to catch S2 shuttle bus bringing you all the way to Pen y pass to go up to Mount Snowdon.Going opposite direction by bus Nr 19 there is an absolutely gorgeous town Conwy with Castle in it! Local buses run every hour and drivers are very helpful!Overall it was a wonderful stay thanks to wonderful hosts!
- Miguel (8/5): Nice stay - I have a very good stay in this little B&B. The host were really friends and happy and I felt very welcome and they prepared a nice breakfast. I will repeat if I go to the area. However bear in mind it is not the most sophisticated or newest place but it is quite affordable instead which is fair.
- Jessie (8/5): Great price great location - We had a great time. The lady that runs the b&b is absolutely lovely and makes a great breakfast. Fantastic location on the edge of Snowdonia. Not luxurious but great price. Perfect for people on walking trips. Would stay again.
- live in b&b's (6/5): Friendly - Very helpful and cheerful host. Good hearty breakfast.
- 26.2 (8/5): TY NEWYDD STAY - A good B AND B with a friendly and helpful landlady. A delicious breakfast is served.
- Laura and Karlie (10/5): Would highly recommend - Lovely bnb run by a lovely lady. Very welcoming and friendly, breakfast was really nice. She gave us loads of advice on places to visit. Room was cosy and warm, price is good. Bit further away from mount snowdon than we thought but in a nice village with quant neighbouring villages and towns
- Gala (8/5): Perfect base for exploring Snowdonia! - Lil is a very friendly host. The room was really pretty and the breakfast very tasty.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet & relaxing little town, a wonderful stay - A quaint little town in an exquisite area of wales, conveniences close by. Lots of local things to do and see and the most exquisite scenery in the world!! The B&B was clean and the owner was really lovely and welcoming! The room was comfortable and breakfast was tasty and generous servings. The pub across the road served great meals that were cheap. Very pleased with our stay here!!
