Guest Reviews
- currie (7/5): - My room was spotless. All the staff were very attentive across 4 day stay. The lady who looked after breakfast was lovely and very helpful. I made a mistake on my original booking and Shane helped me to quickly resolve that. I had food from the bar on two evenings - it was delicious and served promptly. Excellent value for money. WiFi signal was very poor in my room and the WiFi security protocols are outdated and open to all. I think this could be improved. My only criticism really.
- John (9/5): Comfortable, enjoyable, good food and friendly staff - Staff so friendly, plenty of real ale and the food good home cooked pub grub👍👍👍 Milnthorp is very small, but the location is ok for walks and various attractions
- Marie (9/5): - Food was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful

- Susan (9/5): Very friendly clean and lovely staff - Very comfortable food Excellent Shaun was great Nothing
- Jen (10/5): Excellent one night stay - with great breakfast - Only there for one night, but no noise from the bar underneath, dinner was great. It felt clean and spacious for us as a family of four. The breakfast the next morning was very good and the staff were so lovely. Nothing!
- Amanda (8/5): - Good size room clean and had everything we needed.
Simple but very tasty breakfast especially the pancakes!
- Brown (10/5): Clean and Tidy, Good Food and Amazing Friendly Staff - The staff are super friendly and amazingly helpful. Nothing is too much trouble.
The location is near to Leighton Moss & Morcombe bay RSPB reserves which allowed us to have our beautiful walks without too much travel.
The breakfast was amazing - Had the pancakes and they were the best I have had in a long time.
Decent pub grub for evening meal too. The stairs. My friend had a sprained ankle and the stairs are the curvy ones that go round and are different widths at points on the corners. This is an old building and this cant be helped something to just be aware of.
- Alan (7/5): - Friendly staff, lots of food for hungry cyclists Room was a bit small.
- rob (10/5): - Great food, dinner and breakfast. Nice little village, really nice staff
- Andrew (9/5): One nights stay at the Bulls Head - The Bulls Head represents fantastic value for money .All the staff and the owner were very friendly and helpful .Evening meal and breakfast were lovely .I would definitely stay here again . Nothing .

- Bourgade (8/5): - Excellent little pub/hotel. Friendly staff, clean facilities. Perfect for a business overnight stay. Good choice of ale too Had to leave at 7.30 so would have been nice to have some breakfast facility (even limited) from 7am. Could do with a slightly bigger towel for the shower

- Lester (9/5): - My room was spotless and the bed comfortable.
The lady who served breakfast understood coeliac disease, so I felt reassured. My breakast was very tasty. It was easy to park off road. I had two hand towels but no bath towel.
- Nicola (8/5): Much more than I expected. The surrounding area is so beautiful. - The room and en-suite were newly decorated, and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and the towels fluffy. Breakfast was superb and the staff were so friendly. I was very happy staying here

- peter (8/5): Unpretentious honest Pub, food and accommodation, super staff! - Owner Sally is an example to us all, turned this Pub around, works her socks off, and calmly and cheerfully produces the best cooked breakfasts you could ever want!! Staff young and friendly , thankyou Courtney and Shane in particular for making our evening meal experiences really enjoyable, accommodating our shared fish platter requests. Very good dish, thankyou Chef. Milnthorpe is Milnthorpe, Bulls Head is Bulls Head. Neither posh and “go to” destinations but they do deliver!
If they’re convenient for your journey, don’t hesitate.

The food was good and breakfast was great
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again
- Katharine (8/5): Great value for money and friendly staff - We enjoyed our stay at the Bulls Head. We were attending a wedding near by and stayed in the standard double room. The room itself was small but was very clean, the shower was hot and powerful. The staff were really friendly, from check-in to breakfast and attended to all our needs. We thought it was excellent value for money. There was live music in the bar downstairs but we couldn’t hear it from our room on the second floor. As a woman getting ready for a wedding there was not much room to move about, and there was no lighting around the mirror which made putting make up on a bit difficult. There was no full length mirror.
- J M (9/5): Lovely little place to stay - Clean bright room

Great location
Great price Parking a bit tight but ok
Scaffolding being taken down at 0730 in the morning although they did let me know at checkin.
