Robert (10/5): - Rooms was very clean and whilst no frills it had all of the amenities available anyone could need, including for cooking. Safe free parking was ideal. The location of the hotel is excellent. Just beside is the Zoo and Castle. The town centre is a short walk as is The Black Country museum
MISS RACHAEL JONES (6/5): Great price - Great price for the hotel and stay. Shame they didn’t offer or provide a fan in the rooms even though it had been in the 30’s for 2 weeks. Windows opened about 3 inches so no air!!
Verified traveler (8/5): Great location for BCLM - We were visiting the Black Country Living Museum, which is only 15mins walk away, so perfect location for that and reasonably priced, too. The negative was that the room had no AC so we had to keep the windows open and it being on a very busy road, it was extremely noisy at all times, even into the early hours, so we got very little sleep

Kitchen was well equipped, however sink plug wouldn’t seal. Windows, frames and bathroom flooring edges looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for years.

The desk is fixed to the wall which is fine but it's very poor quality, in 2 of the 3 rooms that I've stayed in the desk is cracked and ready to break. There is also a stool to sit on and again very poor quality and uncomfortable to sit on. I've stayed in single rooms and am satisfied with the rest of the facilities in the room. As a woman who travels alone for work, i feel incredibly safe there with the hotel having cctv in public areas and someone on site all the time. The bar area is very pleasant and welcoming. It will be my go to place, when in in the area, from now on.

Verified traveler (8/5): Budget-friendly room with kitchenette - Well-located hotel close to major attractions like the Black Country Living Museum and zoo/castle. Quick, easy check-in process and room was as described on arrival. Availability of kitchenette facilities in room is a major selling point - a big Tesco and assorted dining options are also available within walking distance. Cooking facilities are limited by lack of knife/cutting board, meaning microwave/kettle are main means of preparing food. Utensil drawer contained tin opener, spatula, and butter knife/fork/spoon. Decaf tea available, however - much appreciated! Window opened for fresh air. Floor boards squeaky, making keeping the noise down challenging, and walls thin. Noise from nearby road (bus/emergency vehicle route) also considerable. Bed a bit soft for my liking, but clean and otherwise comfortable.

Hotel - please deal with this. Hotel seen better days, zero atmosphere, room was ok. Pillows like rocks, Bed awful, no bedside light. Sound worse from outside. Sirens throughout the night. No glass in bathroom to use for water..teeth brushing etc. kitchen facility was ok.

The room we stayed in was very dated and cleanliness wasn't great (the bed was stained as was the mattress) There is a lot of noise from the road which was a little bothersome at times. STEVEN (8/5): Historic hotel by the castle - Spacious, clean and warm room, with integral kitchen. Comfy bed, plenty of plugs for charging etc.Tv and wi-fi worked fine. Currently no food, as restaurant being refurbished, but plenty of places nearby, and can also cook in bedroom.

Christine (6/5): Woefully understaffed - When we arrived we couldn't get into the hotel , there was nobody on reception and the phone was ringing out . After 10 minutes another guest who was staying happened to return and let us in. We then waited another 5 minutes at least before a member of staff turned up.The Bar was off limits and had been closed since August and the refreshments tea/ coffee in the room had not been refilled. Fortunately i had brought decaffeinated tea with me so could make a drink.

David (4/5): - Arrived early just to check in as visiting Birmingham because daughter had a baby and was in hospital reception greeted me gave me the key i explained that i wont be back till late evening as we were at the hospital with daughter arrived back around 7 went to room first impression was the overbearing smell of urine the bedding was thrown on top of the bed and a lovely pile of garbage in the corner told reception im not staying in there he went to check the room and gave us another which was ok but still dirty tbh
Mick (10/5): - I had no problem with the hotel. Very accommodating, and the room had everything I need. Only issues are not to do with the hotel. Building work opposite and abulance sirens every night. There was a slight inconvenience due to the restaurant and bar being renovated and not open, but it wasn't peek time so I completely understood. Finding nice food in Dudley itself is a challenge, but luckily, I was visiting friends. Nice hotel. Lots of history. Lovely Building and friendly staff.

Mesulame (10/5): Enjoy the hospitality of Station Hotel , Dudley. - I work here in Birmingham and I absolutely love this charming hotel. The staff are incredibly helpful and always have a smile on their faces. I've been staying at Station Hotel for the past 3 months and I'm thoroughly enjoying it, especially for the facilities where you can cook and do your laundry. It's a great way to save some money. Collecting rewards and bonuses is an added bonus. I would highly recommend this place for short or long stays.
Mesulame (10/5): - I have been staying in the Station Hotel for 4-5 weeks. And it is Close to Dudley town centre. 15-20min bus travel to Dudley & Sandwell Station. At least a 5-minute walk to the bus stop near Salisbury to catch the Number 87 bus back to the Station Hotel. Also, I complained about my room, and the receptionists arranged another room to sleep in. I appreciate it. Well done 8/10

Apart from that I am happy staying. And love to upgrade to one of the double rooms. Working the night shift just need a decent sleep.
Verified traveler (6/5): Little things let it down - Needed somewhere to stay in the Midlands this hotel is ok if you just need somewhere to stay. I would have liked a sheet that didn't have a dirty mark on it though. The windows were covered by blinds but no curtains so very light in the morning. Room was very hot sun into room but one window didn't stay open and had a crack in it. Light switch near bed didn't work Good things were a microwave sink in room useful if you wanted to make your own food bathroom though basic was clean .

Staff don't care and wouldn't help me connect to wifi. Beds have a weird shelf on the bedframe that hangs over the bed making it easy to hit your head. Just an awful experience.

We stayed in the most haunted room (Room 214), and I felt like I had an experience. Overall, if you want a place to stay that is rich in history with modern upgrades and is close to the Dudley Zoo & Castle and Black Country Loving Museum, this is the place to stay! Also, if you are a Peaky Blinders fan, their bar is decorated all out with memorabilia and has events designated to this series!

Sharon (8/5): Ok if you don’t expect too much - Overall ok At check in i was given my room key (1st floor)only to discover it was actually a family room, I went to inform reception and was handed the correct room key(2nd floor )told to remove my luggage, lock the family room and return the key. IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE yet I had to go up and down between 2 floors with my luggage surely one of the 3 members of staff congregated at reception could have at least come with me so after I removed my luggage from the family room they could return the key to reception 😖 Upon entering the 2nd floor room I found a plastic tooth pic and various bits of rubbish on the floor and a mark in the bathroom sink.It was clear the room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly but by now I was not about to go all the way back to reception to complain so cleaned the sink myself ( left the toothpick and rubbish where they were) Leaving the hotel later no one was manning reception so I could not complain Upon returning later I completely forgot( been to party lol ) Next morning after I complained about the tooth pic I was informed it must have fallen off the cleaners trolley as they use them to clean 🤔. I could see there was no point mentioning the sink and unvaccumed carpet,especially as there were two other people at the reception desk who clearly were listening to my conversation . It’s a shame really because it is a lovely hotel, fab location, friendly staff but twice I’ve stayed here and twice now not found everything up to standard.

Christopher (8/5): - Unfortunately a lot of road works and traffic noise outside. Nothing the hotel can do and it did not stop us sleeping. A good location for central Dudley. Thank you to Sarah who went out of her way to change our room when requested.
Sharon (6/5): Booked for one night - The guy in reception upon arrival was lovely, polite and friendly and helpful I had forgotten my Glasses so he helped me check myself AND car in correctly (please remember it is your responsibility to register your car otherwise face a hefty fine from a private company not the hotel) My room was on the 1st floor and was informed the lift was out of order,once in my room I found the milk sour even though it was in the fridge. When I went down to reception to get more the girl reached under the counter and pulled out a tray with little milk pots on I had to insist on her getting me some that was fresh from the kitchen first she tried to tell me they had no more but eventually sent another member of staff to get me some from the staff fridge. The guy who brought this was lovely, he did apologise and offered me extra coffees for my room. please note that there are no lamps next to the bed there was a switch that I thought was for the lights but found it was not so had to get out of bed to turn out the lights out ( not a problem but thought worth a mention. A sign on the wall warns of the possibility of the shower running cold and says to run it for a few minutes to resolve this issue, or inform reception, however after half hour I gave up, I didn’t want to get dressed and wait for reception to come and sort it, then undress again On a plus point the rooms are like little studios complete with everything you need for self catering night or two.
DAVE (6/5): - On a very busy road day and night ….police and ambulance sirens passing constantly throughout the 2 nights I was there and on the first night there were other rowdy “guests” banging doors in the early hours of the morning and a tv on loud still on at 3.30 -4am in the morning…..so on top of having a demanding job to do, I was also knackered before I started.
Verified traveler (10/5): Stay was OK - The food service wasn't great. The Peaky Blinders bar was closed for a private party which went on until 7am in the morning so some of our party did not get a lot of sleep. We thought it was inconsiderate to other paying guests.

Mazhar (4/5): Peaky blinders should avoid this - Room was poor , weak electric shower , dirty carpets , taps were weird , with filter , just no .. was planning 3 days moved out of single room .. tv was small and 8 fit high
Philip (8/5): - The Station Hotel and Banqueting is a grand hotel brought functionally up-to-date. It offers affordable accommodation in clean, comfortable rooms (my en-suite came complete with a kitchenette). There is a Peaky Blinders Themed restaurant bar on site serving local ales and locally-sourced meals (and a proper breakfast). There is also excellent free wi-fi and registered parking. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating.
Peter (4/5): Not the best - Traffic works out side at the moment working through the night - even with out that the road noise kept me awake all night The bar is run separate to the hotel breakfast I gues could be arranged after 8am separately
Jimmy (8/5): Good value - Rooms were clean and tidy and in good condition. Cooker etc in the room if you wanted to cook your own food.
Juliet (6/5): - The check in staff were friendly. The room was fine and I liked the kitchenette. There are roadworks right outside the hotel which meant it was tricky to find a way in, but those aren't the hotel's fault and they won't last for ever. The gym was a pleasant surprise but the elliptical trainer was not working - I had to manhandle it to a power point and steal a power cable from a rowing machine. There were three issues. First, C there was a function that went on into the early hours of the morning. The noise kept me awake for a while. Second, when I finished at the gym I went into reception at 8.45 to see where breakfast was. They said nobody was down yet to make it! At 8.45! Guess that was the function again. Then when I got back to my room there was no water coming out of the shower. No light on the shower controls. Had to wash in the tiny sink. Would have been good value otherwise.
Simon (8/5): - Nice hotel friendly staff. Bar/restaurant very good and cheap, very surprising that it wasn't busy as really good value for money. Breakfast excellent.
alan (6/5): Don’t expect to sleep - Roadwork going on from 7am till 7pm made being in my room not possible, steel plates on road during the nite meant more noise

Anita (8/5): Good stopover hotel - The hotel has good staff who are welcoming and parking is plentiful and free. It has a Peaky Blinders restaurant. The room was clean and had a kitchenette with fridge which was useful. It was a bit noisy due to construction work in the street outside.
Kathryn (10/5): Good value and excellent facilities - The hotel is in a good location with excellent access and ample free parking. The room was clean and well equipped with a fridge and cooking facilities. The bathroom was spacious with a modern shower unit. If I needed to stay in the area again, I would definitely return.
Kirsty (4/5): Disappointed - We’ve stayed in the hotel before, staff very friendly only we pre booked room 214 paid more as it the most haunted room and when we arrived was on a totally different floor. No one told us the room was unavailable or we would have booked a double room which is cheaper. Not happy about this at all as we booked at least a month in advance and they gave the room to someone that decided to stay an extra night.

Georgina (10/5): Great stay - Rooms have been updated since we last stayed. Didn't realise our room would have a kitchen complete with cooker, fridge, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and sink. Great location and free parking a bonus.
PAUL (10/5): - Excellent bed, good shower. On suit plus small kitchen area. Micro wave plus hot plate, toaster, kettle, cutlery. Tea coffee and biscuits. Hotel in excellent condition. Large car park. Excellent bar. 300 yard walk to centre.

MR C (6/5): Station Hotel Stay - The hotel is clearly lacking custom and felt quietly neglected. However, the room was clean and tidy and general friendliness of the staff were welcome pluses.
Verified traveler (2/5): - I booked a single room when getting to the room I was in a very poor state the room I had was not on any of the photos on the website only the refurbished rooms were, the carpets were stained and there was what looked like someone’s nose picking smeared on the wall next to the bed. There was carpet in the bathroom that was curling up in the corners and the shower pressure and temperature of the water was rubbish. When I contacted the reception they was helpful and did move us to one of the of refurbished rooms but the original room was disgusting.
Verified traveler (2/5): - The property is an old house with creaky floor. The rooms were not sound-proof. The room is stuffed and damp. The window was permanently shut resulting in poor ventilation.
Chris (8/5): Rooms very old and tired - This is your typical old hotel that needs complete modernisation. Sash window (wouldn't stay open) into busy road but room too hot; dirty due to age and mildew etc in bathroom; handle fell off wardrobe door if touched; generally shabby. But bed was comfy and reception etc friendly. Big car park, but right on a busy roundabout and a walk from the town centre.
