Guest Reviews
- Tomasz (10/5): -
- Daniel (9/5): Authentic, warm hospitality in keeping with olde worlde vibes in the heart of modern London. - Breakfast was excellent.
- Susan (8/5): Breakfast really good staff friendly - Very close to the Venue - Olympia
Even though it was a busy road the room was very quiet
- Erika (10/5): -
- Richard (10/5): Great location, fab staff and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back. - Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful staff, with a perfect mix of traditional and contemporary pub decor. The food was great, including breakfast and the rooms were well appointed and quiet through the night (a rarity in this busy part of towns Nothing, it was great in every way.
- Frederic (9/5): -
- Dan (10/5): Fantastic, friendly place with great staff - Wonderful staff, great room, lovely pub An elevator would have been handy.
- Steve (9/5): -
- Patricia (9/5): Comfy bed and pillows, great toiletries and food! - The bed and bedding were really comfy. Loved the ‘Bramley’ toiletries in bathroom; gorgeous smells! 😍 great breakfasts and dinner enjoyed; the pie and mash was superb! Only downside to comfortable sleep was that on day / night of our stay was unusually warm and we couldn’t get air con to work.

- Katie (10/5): Don't hesitate to stay here!! - Breakfast was AMAZING. Staff were helpful, friendly. I was very impressed. Nothing
- Rosalind (9/5): Would stay again - Friendly On the 3rd floor. No lift!
- Ashley (9/5): A brilliant weekend away for a fantastic event, completed by an amazing hotel! - I came to London for the Ideal Home Show for the second year in a row, and after being so badly let down by where I stayed for last year’s event, I was a little nervous about the experience I was letting myself in for even I though it was a different hotel. However, I am very pleased to say that the difference was like night and day. The Hand and Flower is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and I have done a lot of trips away for events with most of them involving hotel stays. It has fantastic staff, excellent food and beautifully decorated rooms with an art deco flair, which are also of an impressive size considering this is the middle of London.
I particularly liked the fact that although the building has old sash windows, they have secondary glazing. I had Room 3 and although it had four windows facing the road, the noise from the street was minimal and I slept soundly. The bed was also pretty comfortable. The room had fantastic decor and was generously proportioned, especially the bathroom, and had great low noise levels and comfortable bed as already mentioned. I couldn’t hear any noise from the pub downstairs, either.
I also recommend booking a table for an evening meal if you’re attending an event at Olympia like I was and enjoy the great food that’s on offer here, which is also reasonably priced. The breakfast was amazing, also.
Thank you Carlos too for allowing me to leave my bag with you while I was in Olympia. You and all the staff were amazingly friendly and I won’t hesitate to choose you again for any future events I attend. My only reason for scoring a little less than ten is there were some minor issues with the room, but none of them were showstoppers. The light above the bed flickered while on so may need replacing (but there are plenty of others around the room to be fair); a couple of fixtures in the bathroom were a little loose and felt like they might fall off; one blind was permanently down (though it might have been for a reason); one blind chain wasn’t fixed to the wall like it should be for safety reasons; a small patch of damaged plasterboard near the door and some drawer handles felt sticky.
- Cathy (10/5): - Everything, decor, clean, big bed, tea&coffee Was a bit nervous with the pub downstairs and the loud music but once got up to the bedroom it was fine
- Nathalie (9/5): So British ! Nous y retournerons. - Très bonne expérience. Nous recommandons.
Chambre spacieuse.
- Venceslas (10/5): - Everything nothing
- Alex (9/5): -
- LOUISE (10/5): Hidden gem. - Second time we’ve stayed and it didn’t disappoint. The staff, the room, the pub are excellent. Defo coming back. Nothing.
- Keith (8/5): - Lovely pub hotel, friendly staff and great food. Location for Olympia is perfect! We definitely stay again. Nothing

- anne (9/5): -
- Moore (10/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): Victorian pub with comfortable rooms - Nice Victorian pub character A lift might be useful for luggage
- Karl (10/5): -
- Matt (10/5): The staff went above and beyond, legends all of them - The most impressive aspect for me was the staff, I was in London to get tattooed and needed to stay the night this hotel was practically right next to the studio which was amazing. However it dawned on me that my 8hr booking was going to run over considerably longer than it should have and immediately messaged the hotel via booking.com. They were quick to respond and although I was working out plan B options aswell because it I wasn’t going be done until well after they had closed. Because I had check-in online already and I was so close they dropped off my room key to the tattoo studio. They went above and beyond for me whereas other places would have just said there’s nothing we can do and I’d would have been in london struggling to find a place to stay. I eventually got the hotel at 1:30am
Breakfast was great, nice quiet atmosphere & friendly staff. The food arrived quickly and enjoyed every bite. He a couple of pastries before and after my food and they just hit the spot.
I’d definitely stay here again.
- K (10/5): Loved it so much, I have recommended it on Facebook ! - We were greeted extremely warmly by Jazz and we were both extremely pleased with the look and feel of the hotel. Fantastic location for Olympia as it is just across the road and it has the number 9 bus stop outside which takes you to Harrods or The Ritz !
Breakfast was EXCELLENT with a good choice and it was presented beautifully, David the host with the most at was super friendly and could not do enough for us. Nothing
- Martin (9/5): Really great stay in this lovely hotel and home from home! Thank you! - Really great location and great hotel. Really liked the decor and the vintage poster art linked to Olympia - lovely touch. We had breakfast the next morning which was a great start to the day

- Helen (10/5): A fantastic find! Highly recommend. Will book again when next in London. - The location, the facilities, being able to pay at the property and the friendly staff! Breakfast being included was another massive plus.
- Chris (8/5): Good value for money - Nice room, bar and good breakfast for money Lot of steps
- Alex (8/5): Perfect for the Olympia and a really great public house as well!! - The individuality of the room Nothing at all, but the noise from the pub might bother some people.
- Edward (10/5): If we could give this place 11 we would. Fantastic. - If we could give this place 11 we would. My wife and I travel a lot and every now and then you find a real gem. The room here was fantastic. Great decor. Big bed. Great big walk in shower. And a proper coffee machine. All the staff so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was also top drawer. We will definately be back.
- Mouglette (10/5): - La gentillesse du personnel, la propreté
- Steven (10/5): Relaxing and great value. - Spacious room, good food and friendly staff. Excellent value. Nothing
- Stuart (10/5): Fantastic place to stay...could not be faulted. - A lovely traditional pub with great rooms and wonderful staff who really care about their guests.
- Floris (9/5): - I really loved the room. I can recommend this room for families (up to 3 kids). Complimentary water, coffee, tea were nice. Breakfast was good.
- Jesper (8/5): -
- jay (1/5): DON'T STAY HERE - Nothing at all. This place was horrendous I'm still waiting for a refund but they are ignoring even booking.com themselves. We got in waited 30 minutes to even be checked in, had to walk up six flights of stairs (no elevator not very accessible) as we got higher up on the stairs it started to smell really bad like stale beer and vomit, getting into the room which on entry the air was thick with dust and dirt so much so that I was struggling to breathe with my asthma we thought we'd open the window to air it out and noticed mold on the window sill, there was holes in the wall the bedroom light was broken. We could not stay in the room due to the asthma attacks it was giving me so we had to book another hotel last minute which cost a fortune.
- Thomas (10/5): -
- Anita (8/5): Great hotel right opposite Olympia. Really welcoming and our room up on the third floor at the back was so quiet, no Lon - Lovely hotel just opposite Olympia
- Jen (10/5): Great stay! Beautiful room, comfy bed :) - The room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable with lovely crisp sheets. Very handy for Olympia exhibition centre. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
- Joanna (10/5): -
- Hannah (10/5): Perfect comfy stay :) - Everything! Nothing!
- clémentine (9/5): -
- Oscar Windsor (10/5): wonderful hotel very cosy - The room was a great size and very clean.
Nice decent size desk to work at.
Coffee facilities along with bottle water.
Worth every single penny N/A
- adriangO6134AK (10/5): Great place. Food exceeds expectations. - This is a pub across the road from our hotel. A friend of mine and I came here yesterday. I had haddock and chips. I had low expectations, but it was brilliant! Just like fresh home made. I spoke to the lady and she said it was fresh haddock that they froze to keep it fresh. Home battered and fried. So lovely.
My fiend had a medium rare steak. I avoid steak as it’s always tough. He gave me a piece and it was lovely and tender. Great.
I’m back again tonight. Chicken wings lovely. Waiting for curry.
- Grahame (8/5): -
- Mathias (9/5): Beautiful hotel with great staff - Great breakfast, super friendly and service- oriented staff, beautiful room with great attention to detail The subway to Kensington Olympia only operates on weekends.
- Christian (10/5): Perfect stay, lovely charming hotel, great staff - Simply perfect! Lovely old , yet fully refurbished and renovated hotel, lots of charme and history to it. Food is amazing, so is the breakfast and the choices available. Staff were all really nice, so friendly and helpful, lovely people! We will definitely come back and can highly recommend! Nothing really, alm good
- jason (9/5): Great value and ideal location for Olympia - Very friendly staff who made me feel welcome and at home straight away, food and accommodation couldn't have been better/ Nothing
- Carlo (8/5): - Camera, pulizia, cortesia
- nicola (9/5): Great location brilliant staff lovely room - My breakfast was really nice I had smashed avocado, my mum wasn’t so keen she had eggs Benedict .. the room was spacious , beds were comfortable although small .. tea/coffee bath/shower and toiletries were all excellent .. only thing missing was a lift but very nice member of staff carried both our heavy bags up the 3 flights of stairs, we were very impressed! Another member of staff went out of his way to leave the building with us to get us a taxi, and when one didn’t arrive offered to order us an uber on his account as we didn’t have one .. when leaving another two members on staff helped us with directions in great detail all in all very happy with our stay thank you Just the lift (only for heavy luggage as the stairs were perfectly fine) and my mum not overly happy about her choice of breakfast (she got eggs Benedict instead of royale) her preference but wasn’t cooked how she’d liked and I’m sure if we had mentioned it they would have changed it .. so that’s just me being picky
- Neville (8/5): Generally good but disappoint en-suite size and poor breakfast - Check in was easy and efficient. The room was large and well furnished. There was tea and coffee in the room with milk and water in the fridge The shower room in the room was very small and cramped.
Breakfast was disappointing, my toast was cold, my bacon burnt to a crisp and my sausage luke warm
- Silvia (9/5): Molto british, confortevole, caldo e d’ambiente.
- lorenzacappuccio (10/5): Delicious food, fantastic service - Super delicious food and truly great service: a lovely match. I’ve had 4 dishes + drinks and everything was super tasty and delicious, not just for me, you could hear positive comments from everyone in the restaurant.
I want to say bravo to David, he was fenomenal; on my second visit he noticed something was off and came to check on me, I informed him that my dessert was a bit late and he had one of the best comeback lines I have ever heard, later he came back with my pudding in no time. Mind you, I work in hospitality so I know what good service is, every single waiter was great here. David was fun and charming not just with me, but as per what I’ve heard from the nearby tables.
I came here twice in 4 days, and I would enjoy coming back again for a third time.
- Wilhelm (10/5): -
- Carol (10/5): Fantastic hotel - This hotel was straight opposite the venue we were going to , the staff were fantastic, they went above and beyond for us the rooms were spotless and I would highly recommend the French toast for breakfast, I will certainly come back to stay again Carol Nothing

- Nomad2011 (10/5): A great hotel in Olympia - I can't say enough good things about the four days we spent at The Hand & Flower. The hotel and pub is across the street from Olympia and the supporting Tube station.
The room was new and spotlessly clean, especially the bathroom. The decor was thoughtful and stylish.
There is a proper pub downstairs, but it's nice and quiet. There is a full-service kitchen and they serve traditional English fare (to include breakfast) but also some imaginative dishes as well. I ate several meals there and they were all first class, and reasonably priced. Worth noting for families: this is a pub, so children have to vacate the restaurant by 7 pm due to British licensing laws.
Finally, every member of staff was friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing was too much to ask and they were genuinely concerned that I was enjoying my stay. I've paid four times as much for a room and not had staff who were this professional.
In short, this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in over the last few years. Highly recommended.
- Mohammad Shaharyar (3/5): Good location but no concierge and no hot water made for a very uncomfortable stay - The locations While the rooms were nice, there was no concierge service. I had to take my luggage by myself from the ground floor up to the second floor, which was very tiring for me. The water in the shower was freezing cold. The room I was given was the smallest on the floor.
- alyson (9/5): Great cosy bedroom and lovely staff - Staff were friendly and helpful Location was a walk to tube
