- Angela (10/5): - Could go into a full narrative but really three words suffice, excellent, excellent excellentš
- Kieran (10/5): - Good location, lovely staff and excellent value
- Conrad (8/5): - This hotel was a wonderful experience. The room, the bed, the food the surroundings...like a little oasis.
The only downside was the stairs to get to our lovely room but we decided it was worth it.
- Kit (10/5): - All staff that helped us were lovely. I made a mistake on the booking and the staff were extremely helpful and were willing to help us out. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
- Kelvin (10/5): - Peaceful stay in a good pub.
- Ewa Iwona (10/5): - It was absolutely amazing. I arrived at 2pm and The menager was so nice to me that even check in was possible straight away. I received 10 procent discount with ordered food in pub downstairs. I never ate that good testing English breakfast like there.
Place very highly recommend and I will for sure be back there myself .
- Wendy (10/5): - It was the second time we have stayed there for concerts ,it's so convenient for the O2 ,I will say one thing though I think it's quite expensive for one night ,but fabulous though
- Caroline (10/5): - Lovely stay - friendly staff and lovely food and breakfast
- Nicola (10/5): - Wow! A fabulous place directly 5 minute walk to the O2. Lovely bedroom (room.no.5) lovely bed, heard no traffic with both the windows open.Lovely selection of tea and coffees with some biscuits in room. Fabulous staff, lots of knowledge on food and drink, accommodating for gluten tolerant. Parking outside free when register your car inside at check in. We would not stay anywhere else now. Thank you for a fabulous stay āŗļø
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice hotel. 10 minute walk from the O2.
- David (8/5): - Very querky and enjoyable but decor needs attention especially the windows
- Peter (10/5): Great find - Very convenient location for a trip to the O2. Only a 10 minute walk from the O2. Room lovely and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing! Will definitely be going back here again.
- Joanne (10/5): Great place to stay when going to O2 - Great place to stay when going to O2. Ten minute walk from the arena. Lovely quirky pub with boutique rooms. We ate at the restaurant which was fab. Weāll definitely stay again
- Irene (10/5): - The Pilot Inn is a unique blend of an historic building decorated in an imaginative modern way set amidst designer high-rise blocks. It also has the advantage of facing onto an attractive park leading to the O2 with all its amenities. Another bonus is the free car park and quiet location.
- Liam (10/5): - 10/10 staff weāre lovely, rooms were clean and better than expected. Perfect hotel if youāre going to the o2. Couldnāt recommend enough
- Kristian (10/5): - Bangin
- Sharon (10/5): - We stayed here as close to the O2. Only a 5 minute walk. Excellent location
Very nice food, service and friendly staff.
- LIAM (10/5): - Very good accommodation, bed was so comfortable. Easy walk to O2, they say 10 mins, i think more like 5mins. I would certainly stay again. Breakfast was excellent and bar had great fuellers beer.
- Finbarr (10/5): - Lovely time at The Pilot - someday for the O2. Great stay!
- O (10/5): Ideal solo traveller stay - Clean, beautifully presented and great breakfast.
- Carl (10/5): Amazing choice for those going to the O2 - I would very rarely rate hotels 10 out of 10 but this was so close that I couldn't not give it full marks. The room was brilliant and the mattress and pillows in particular were the best I've had in ages. Breakfast was also good and the pub was an amazing bonus to have underneath. By the time I went to bed the pub was really quiet so I had no noise issues.
- Julian (10/5): - I really liked this pub. Lively but not too noisy, with a lovely freshly-cooked breakfast.
- Dominic (10/5): - Highly recommended for a visit to the O2 - 5 minute walk to venue and free parking. Lovely room, and a unique reminder of the historic Greenwich in the middle of a sea of new-build development
- Garry (10/5): What a gem! - What a gem of a find, we will definitely be back. Simply a lovely hotel
- Carmine (6/5): - Very interesting. Clean. Very small for the price, not great service, staff seemed overwhelmed.
- Nicola (10/5): Nice stay 100% satisfaction - Really lovely stay, shame it was only the one night. Lovely room, friendly staff and the pub had a really nice vibe. Parking outside the property was a real positive. The area around the property is really good to explore and we would like to return fo4 another trip.
- Craig (10/5): - Loved the room and view. Very clean and spacious, some of the staff could have been friendlier but overall excellent stay.
- Charlotte (10/5): - Great place to stay for a trip to the 02. Loved the decor, staff friendly and breakfast choice was excellent.
- Shannon (10/5): - Easily one of the best hotels I've stayed in when staying away for something. Staff were friendly and polite, parking was so easy and included in the price which saved us paying for the O2 car park. Breakfast was sooooo good. For all future shows we'll be trying to book in here!
- Celeste (6/5): - Do not stay here if you want a good nights sleep. I was kept awake by a lot of banging and scraping of furniture across the floor in the bar until gone midnight. In the morning at 6.30am I was woken by a lot of banging and clanging from a delivery to the pub.
Breakfast was minimal - a few pastries and two choices of cereal. No fruit or yoghurt. The choice of cooked breakfast was ok.
The room was not cheap at £218 and that was after an Expedia discount!
- Bernadette (10/5): - Iām not a massive review writer, but thought Iād go out of my way to leave one for this place - our stay was perfect!
Staff were all friendly, breakfast was tasty and came quickly, bed was really comfortable, plenty of space in the car park, modern and clean bathroom, very convenient location. Honestly couldnāt have asked for a better stay - we will definitely be coming back here in future!
We went to a concert at the O2 and itās such a convenient location (5-10 minute walk away). The actual hotel is very quiet despite all the people leaving the venue. Once we got in and went to bed we didnāt hear a peep from outside!
Check in and check out process was also super quick and easy.
Couldnāt fault the place at all. The only teeny tiny thing we noticed was dust in the cupboards but the room was clean and the bathroom was clean so we canāt complain.
Overall, a very good stay and we will definitely be back!
- Rebecca (10/5): - Great little hotel, super cute, clean and great location for O2
- Lee (10/5): - 5star
- Jock (10/5): - A lovely place to stay
- Richard (10/5): Great stay - recommended - Hotel was excellent. Room comfy, staff really friendly and helpful, and convenient for the O2
- Andre (8/5): Pilot - Broken blind in room. Terrible coffee at breakfast. Great coffee in the room. Poor service at breakfast.
- Justine (10/5): - Room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The rooms are in a really nice pubs with garden and nice food. Location was good, close to North Greenwich station.
- Erol (10/5): - Good
- Estelle (10/5): Great stay at The Pilot Inn - Lovely stay at The Pilot Inn, great location to the 02, exceptionally clean rooms, comfortable beds, fabulous breakfast cooked to order and a welcoming staff team.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Attentive service and great breakfast - Excellent service, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast.
Sleep interrupted by offsite building type noise. I was also a lot longer than the bed in the cabin room.
- Amy (10/5): - Great place to stay after being at the O2! And great food!
- Mark (10/5): Could not fault it - Fantastic location. Excellent service throughout our stay. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was superb. I real gem of a place. Will be going back soon.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great O2 bolt-hole - Used the Pilot as an O2 Arena overnight ābolt holeā to avoid a late night commute home. For which it is more than ideal. Some maybe put off by the price, but it is good value and convenient for the North Greenwich peninsula. The deluxe double rooms are a fair size with interestingly themed rooms (ours had framed āEagleā comic covers and Anthony Buckeridge āJenningsā paperbacks). All the rooms have clocks on their doors, set to the hour of their room-number. All are fairly well appointed with USB-2 and C sockets. We had an Iron, a hairdryer, artisan (Nespresso) coffee capsules and bags. But only one tea bag to share.
The bathroom and toilet are very snug (tight) but fully functional which was ok.
The rooms are split across the first and second floor, above the Pilot public house. There is both an internal (from the pub) and private (opens out to the street) staircase, so entry after closing time is possible with a swipe card key at the end of the evening.
Although I did not use it, there was ample car parking (included in my rate) which was great. But I did not see any EV charging facilities (as of April 2024).
We did not try the pub bar food (had a concert to attend), but it looked popular and of a good standard. But breakfast (included in my rate) was great. They just kept running out of tea bags, tea bags, toast and pastries.
If you are going to the O2 Arena, consider this for your accommodation, but book ahead and early if possible.
- Gary (10/5): - Staff and property excellent juxtaposition of the Pilot and surrounding area strange at first but one soon gets use to it.
- Joseph (10/5): More than a touch of style - Iām not one for generic hotel rooms, waking up not knowing which city Iām in that day. The Pilot is definitely not one of those! Theyāve fully embraced their theme without being cliche or cheesy (a delicate balance).
The only negative was the two single beds joined together in a continental version of a double bed.
- Paul (10/5): Little gem by the O2 - Lovely find about 10 minutes walk from the O2. Much more fun than a corporate hotel. Manages a home-run feel despite being part of Fullers. Rooms well appointed with good use of space. Breakfast was excellent. The pub is lovely and has a cat. Warning: All rooms are upstairs with no lift.
- Ryan (10/5): - We stayed here when visiting the O2 for C2C.
What a fabulous location, friendly staff, nice (compact) double room. Great breakfast, free parking. Even better it is literally a 5-10 minute walk from the O2 arena - more if you were drinking :-)
- Mark (10/5): - Beautiful setting and reasonably priced and a short walk from the O2.
Staff was very friendly and breakfast was peng!
Only draw back was the construction site across the road so donāt expect a layin after 7am. This was obviously out of their control and did not downgrade the experience my partner and I had. I just love a lay in.
Defo will be returning
- John (10/5): - Stayed so I could attend a Lucinda Williams concert of the Indigo theatre at the O2. I am disabled due to multiple sclerosis but it was all good.
- ANN (10/5): - Love the pilot inn second time we have stayed there. quirky rooms we also had dinner as well and it was very nice .Breakfast also very good .
- Laetitia (10/5): - The best hotel if you come for a concert at the O2
- Julian (10/5): - Great price, top staff with a great sense of humour and just an easy walk to the O2.
- Julia (10/5): - My daughter and I stayed here to go to a concert at the O2 Arena, it was about 5 min walk and lights all along. Check in easy and staff were lovely and helpful. Room was beautiful cosy and comfortable. Amenities of plenty. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order along with continental items too . Just a delightful stay. Thank you The Pilot š
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location but no warning of fire alarm tests - Location is great for gigs at the O2. Bed is a small double so not great if youāre both tall but comfortable. Air con works, nice layout. Bathroom needs updating, shower a bit mouldy and broken toilet brush. Overall wouldāve been perfectly fine except checkout was at 11am and they started a 45min fire alarm test at 10.15am with no warning. Weād been having breakfast downstairs minutes before and nothing was said. We had to hurry to pack our bags and get out as quickly as possible as it was absolutely deafening in a small room. We had an apology on check out but the lack of forethought to let people know it was going on was ridiculous.
- Kevin (8/5): - Pilot is full of character. It's close to O2 and Thames ferry station. Staff were very helpful.
The site is close to lots of construction at the moment.
- Adam (10/5): - Great location and lovely Cabin Room with everything you need for a stay with first rate refreshments and bathroom products and a lovely comfy bed.
Will definately return.
10/10
- Dawn (10/5): - Excellent hotel/pub.
Prime location
Friendly and helpful staff
Excellent breakfast-spoilt for choice
I will definitely be back when I next visit Greenwich Peninsula
- MISS (6/5): - Really lovely pub and good food, the bathroom needs updating and constant drip from the shower during the night
- Anthony (10/5): Absolute Gem of a Find - Fantastic hotel and pub, staff really helpful and the food is great. Breakfast is highly recommended
- Iain (10/5): Little Gem... - London city centre trip - hotel situated next to O2 perfect for this business trip
- Peter (10/5): - Wonderful location. Excellent staff & food.
- Pauline (10/5): Great accommodation - Very welcoming staff, comfortable clean room. Service at breakfast was very slow we waited 30 minutes for our food, possibly cooked to order. Food was excellent check in and out was straightforward
- Jo (10/5): - It was quirky clean & welcoming
- Shirley (10/5): - Great location for the O2, staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were good, although quite small. I would definitely recommend this place.
- Lynn (10/5): - A lovely, homely oasis, in the middle of the city. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and our stay was perfect.
The garden was particularly appreciated on a hot summer day, somewhere we could enjoy a cool drink.
We stayed here because it is walking distance from the O2, but will be returning for the warm welcome we received.
- Chris (10/5): Perfect for O2 arena - Great location for a trip to the O2 arena with very clean and airy rooms. Also ate here before an event and the food was also excellent.
- helen (10/5): Perfect for O2 - What a great find. Perfect 5 min walk to the O2.
A pub with character and history rather than a soulless chain hotel wins hands down every time
Great food , friendly team
Bonus the sun was shining so we got to stand outside with a drink.
Will be back!
- charlotte (6/5): Good but Let down by comfort - Perfect location for o2 and lovely friendly staff. Sadly ruined by the fact I got no sleep as the bed creaked every time we moved. Awful bed! Air con didnāt work and dirty hand marks all over walls. A shame these things made it such an uncomfortable night as it really is a great location with lovely breakfast too.
- Paul (10/5): Great Place - We booked for a show at the O2, watched thousands rush to the tube and car parks as we strolled 5 minutes to the Pilot, cool place
Friendly staff, everything was faultless.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, friendly staff, comfortable quiet well appointed room. OK food
- Stephen (10/5): - Great location for visit to o2 arena. Free parking is a great asset
- David (6/5): - Itās convenient for the O2, but very expensive for what you get
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for the 02 - Nice hotel, very convenient for the 02 arena. Quirky rooms, however, very hot and air conditioning wasnāt working. Fire escape light illuminated the whole room and turned it green. Pricey for the room size.
- Dorothy (10/5): - Exactly as expected from the other reviews.
Quirky, Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, peaceful nights sleep, easy/safe walk to the O2, staff very welcoming and friendly, parking in the courtyard right outside, rooms have everything you will need with the exception of a USB point so take your plug ..
(I should mention I only had to ask and I was provided with one from the helpful bar staff)
Ohh .. and I couldn't find a hairdryer but there might have been oneš¤
Water/tea/coffee and a wee tasty chocolate all provided, had no idea how to work the coffee machine though, although I'm sure if I'd asked they would have shown me.
Whilst others have made mention off the rooms being small, size isn't everything!
This is a great wee place to stay for a night or few and I'll look forward to my next stay at The Pilot!
- Paul (10/5): - Lovely place traditional pub turned into something a little different we loved it and the food was excellent the rooms were quirky warm and cosy would definitely stay again
- Nicola (10/5): - Fabulous!
- katie (10/5): - What a little gem! Absolutely perfect for The 02, a five minute walk from the venue and from North Greenwich tube station. Breakfast was great, the staff were lovely and the room although small was everything we needed for our stay. Thanks, we'll be back!
- Matthew (10/5): Wonderful stay - Fabulous place to stay, right next to the O2 with free car park and amazing breakfast. Will stay there again for sure. Wonderful
- Kevin (8/5): Lovely stay and veey close to o2 - Great stay. The room was cosy and funky cool. Nice shower and bed and Very clean. The coffee pods and teas are a lovely touch and music speaker. Its really close to the o2 so perfect location for events. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Only criticism is the lack of staff in the mornings for breakfast. Our waiter was lovely think he is Swedish. Anyway he had a lot to do alone with all the rooms checking out for breakfast and big waits on food. Some couple left so he needs help.
- Ami (10/5): - The Pilot is a lovely place to stay, the rooms are small but perfectly functional and have lovely quirky nautical dƩcor.
The bed was comfy, the shower was hot with good water pressure, and the in room Nespresso was a nice addition. The aircon worked well and a fan was also provided which is great for London's sticky summer nights. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was superb, cooked to order so piping hot and lovely British ingredients with lots of flavour! I didn't get chance to go to the pub itself for a drink but it looked lovely and has ample outdoor seating.
The Pilot is located less than 15 minutes walk from the o2 arena, North Greenwich Tube Station and the London Cable Car. The walk to and from these is via a well lit, clear, open pathway that edges a small park area with grass and trees, I walked back from the Tube Station at around 10pm and the route is light and busy with lots of people around so I felt perfectly safe as a lone female traveller (which unfortunately can be rare lately).
I will definitely stay again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Much higher quality than most. - Room was extremely comfortable, bed, bedding, pillows high quality. Nice coffee, tea, chocolate in the room. Much higher quality than expected. Very nice location and quiet. Friendly staff. All good. Excellent even.
- Katy (6/5): - The draw to this place is the convenience of you have an event at the O2, thatās about it.
The 2013 refurbished needs a serious touch up or overhaul.
My room was dark and in a poor state of repair. No proper lighting and bits of the window were hanging off.
The carpet was filthy!
A few nice perks such a coffee machine and treats. The bed was comfortable.
Donāt expect to sleep beyond 7am as other guests bang their doors in the tight corridor and delivery drivers arrive to re-stock.
Breakfast was ok and cooked fresh when selected from a menu.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Too expensive for the quality of room - A very tiny room right above the outdoor seating area of the pub which despite shutting at 23pm had loud customers until 1am making sure for little sleep in the already uncomfortable bed. For the price paid I had much better expectations especially as I know the pub very well and it was my first time staying overnight since moving out of London. Not worth the price tag, the hotel should seriously consider re-looking at prices. The aircon did not work and each time flushing the toilet there was a smell.
- Lisa (10/5): Would definitely book again - Great location for O2 events, friendly and clean, well kept room. Would definitely book again.
- Derek (10/5): - Close walking distance to O2 where I was working until 2.25 am at a professional boxing event. Good quality of evening meal and breakfast. Will definitely stay again
- Peter (6/5): Pilot not as good as remembered - Room very small. Shower mould in corners and on Broken door runner. Very noisy at night. Breakfast very good. Food in evening disappointing. Location excellent. Overall price expensive even given location.
- Steve (10/5): - Superb hotel, a stones throw from the 02 arena. Great quirky rooms and the breakfast was lovely. Highly recommended
- Mollie (10/5): - Great stay and lovely breakfast
- Joe (10/5): - Delighted to have found this place! Has a smart & slightly quirky 'country' pub feel. Really friendly staff, super comfy bed, cool decor & great breakfast. Only 5 minutes from the O2! I'll definitely be booking into here again.
- Christian (6/5): Ripped off - Feel like ive been ripped of paid over £200 for the night for a small room and when looking back on website it was roughly £100 less, so i have been ripped off .
Shower didn't drain properly also shower basket for putting shower gel in was hanging of the wall . DEFINITELY not worth the money i paid . If i didnt pay before i got there i would of walked out and go somewhere else
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
This is always our first choice to stay when going to the O2
Dannyās assistance when checking in was phenomenal. (We have always been made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble)
He also assisted us in scheduling a pick up to the airport for the following day.
Room clean and very comfortable. Good choice to order from for breakfast. A little awkward lugging heavy suitcases up 3 flights of stairs to get to our room as no lift but doesnāt put us off from continuing to return. Just adds to the charm of The Pilot
Just love this place
- Robin (10/5): - Real nice clean place with great food. Nice helpful friendly staff.
- Manuela (10/5): -
- fyfe (10/5): Love The Pilot! - An awesome find. The food was sublime.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very happy customer - Beautiful room! Absolutely loved the vibe of the place- super friendly staff and a very nice meal provided free in the morning!! 10/10 will stay here again!
