Hotel is near the port do quite alright. It is bearable for just an overnight stay before we hit the road

The air conditioning was broken / not working i.e. turning off constantly and there was no screens on any windows or doors to open them. The bathroom exhaust wasn’t working in a bathroom that had no windows to the outside. There was a corner of the plaster wall near the master bedroom that had been broken and was held together with duct tape that was coming off the wall. Our newborn baby constantly crawled over to it to play with it. Last but not least the master bed was broken, there was a large dip, bend and slope in both sides of the bed.

We put a towel under it to dampen the sound. Also there was no bathplug, so I could not take a bath. I only book rooms with baths, because bath not shower and it was not pleasant that I could not soak in the bath last night.

We contacted the reception at The Quay, and the staff were very understanding and professional. They responded promptly and efficiently, and we greatly appreciated their assistance in rescheduling our booking for two weeks later.

Great location ! - The lady who greeted me on arrival was very friendly and gave me all the relevant information I may have required for the room, parking etc. Our room was located on the 1st Floor and on exiting the lift the hallway and surrounds were very clean and looked to be freshly painted. The room itself looked like a full renovation had taken place and was extremely clean, with a great kitchenette, new spongy carpet, a really comfy bed, a clean bathroom, full Foxtel channels on a large full had Hisense tv, and a balcony that opened onto a large open air courtyard. Car parking was abundant under the building and access very simple. It is location very close to the town centre and an easy stroll to everyone you need. Thanks guys for the great stay !
- Vivienne (8/5): - Nice room, great roof top heated pool looking over the river. We had a view of shops and unfortunately at night there was loud cars. Beds were nice and comfy.

- GlynR63 (6/5): Noisy nightclub nearby. No bath in the accessibility suite. - A basic but nice enough hotel. The parking is good, as is the location. However on a weekend night you can hear and feel the bass from a nearby nightclub. This was worse than the hours of junkies and drunks yelling. We were given a wheelchair accessible room that we didn't ask for, ruining the Valentine's Day bath with rose petals idea. Pretty ordinary experience overall.

- Tammy (10/5): - Our stay was 2 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The only drawback was there was only 2 towels in the room, and between using spa and shower would have preferred 4. The spa was on balcony and we had to cross carpet to get to shower and didn’t want to get carpet wet. We ended up getting 2 extra towels from the pool area on the roof. Big thumbs up to the young fellow cleaning rooms etc. he was very friendly and welcoming to the area.

- Cheryl (10/5): A great spot - A relaxing stay with everything at your doorstep. The apartment was clean and had a lovely balcony. A bit of noise from traffic but not too bad. A view to the water and a great rooftop pool and outdoor space to read and relax. We recommend and would stay again.

- Emily (4/5): - Clean rooms, central and nice staff but rooms are not sound proof kept up all night by cars racing etc not far from hotel and babies crying in the hotel. Also pool due to open at 8.15 I had to call reception and ask them to come remove the pool blanket so we could use pool. We wanted to have a swim before re heading off and were delayed unnecessarily with no apology. For price expected better. Also pool is nice but tiles all coming loose and can tell been that way for a while.

- Stephen (10/5): - I arrived after 6pm, so accessed my room key using a lock box code, which all worked fine. Plenty of dinner options within a short walk. My room was quite large and very comfortable. If I was to return to Port Macquarie I would be happy to choose the Quayside again.

Not once during my stay was my appt cleaned rubbish removed towels refreshed tea & coffee topped. This should not be rated as 4 Stars with no service.
