- 497margies (10/5): Best Hotel on a Budget - This particular Hilton Garden Inn is probably the nicest hotel in this price point near an airport. It is very clean, very quiet, well run and the breakfast was fresh, well presented and great. Our room was ready when we arrived and it was very clean and well lit. The bedding was super comfortable as well. The bathroom was very clean and the bath amenities were full and very nice for a budget hotel. Kresha, the Front Desk Manager is a very hard worker who clearly enjoys her job. She is friendly, efficient and happy to help and answer any questions you may have. She also keeps the “commissary” well stocked while juggling check-ins, check-outs and the never ending phone ringing. I don’t know how she manages to do it all and still squeeze in a bathroom break! She is the only person at the front desk but she manages to keep her cool and get the job done. Sharon, our waitress for breakfast was so welcoming and quick to take our order. The coffee was hot, the orange juice tasted fresh squeezed and my huevos rancheros beautifully presented as well as my husband’s waffles. The bacon was thick cut and excellent. She greeted us the moment we sat down and checked on us often without being intrusive. She is a pro at this! Roger, our server, was also very efficient. Personable without being pushy and does his job with a smile. He was easy to talk to and made his job look easy. He cleared our table so we could enjoy the last bit of our coffee before heading to the airport. It was such a nice and welcome change from the increasingly common practice of subpar breakfast served buffet style. One more mention: even the housekeeping staff was very friendly and seemed happy to be there!

There is a shuttle but it runs every half hour at 00 and 30 and contacting the hotel about it is difficult so we took a taxi there (poor cab waited 4 hours for two short rides) but shuttle back to airport next morning was fine

The floor in the room was a little moist in some areas and I had to wear my shoes and the door was already open when we got to the room so we had to look around to make sure nobody was inside. The front cleark didn't stand to greet us when cheking us in. I felt like the bed had bed bugs.

- U3470ZFmarys (8/5): Good for a 1 night stay - We chose to stay here after doing extensive research online. This is a nice hotel close to the Charlotte airport. The lobby is welcoming and our rooms are clean. We felt safe here. As mentioned in other reviews, the 11.99 per night parking is not ideal. The outside pool does not seem to be heated. Unfortunately, during our stay the power went out at 1am. We lost food in our fridge, had no AC, could not shower, or use outlets. We were surprised that there were no backup generators to help keep guests comfortable and safe. However, if we came through Charlotte again we would consider staying here again.

Cost is $11.99/night and they make you scan a code, go to a 3rd party website and type in all of your information and credit card separately from the reservation. Other Hilton hotels in the area have free parking and free of this hastle.

Both of our shuttle guys were great but the am guy was really great. The room was super clean and the bedding was absolutely the reason I came here to leave a review. Cold AC hot shower super nice room. A little less wait in between shuttles at the airport but I should have known it was not every 30 minutes and you sort of need to call. We needed a ride at about midnight. From what I understand it's every 30 minutes from about 11pm to 3am. From 11pm to 3am it's hourly. or call. We had about 5 hours to sleep in between flights so every second was precious IYKWIM.

The restaurant was a real find as we each had an outstanding Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The one hint is that you'll need to tell the front desk when you need the shuttle to the airport as it doesn't run automatically and, if arriving at the airport, you'll need to phone the hotel to let them know you're ready to be picked up. It's only about a 10 minute shuttle from the airport. Highly recommended for air travel lodging

The food was delicious, the staff, especially Sharon and Loretta, were incredibly friendly, attentive, helpful, and the cleanliness of the hotel was great. This hotel was recommended to us and we were very pleased with our stay from start to finish. All the hotel, shuttle drivers and restaurant staff were great. Kresha listened to my reported issues attentively, apologized and promptly offered alternative solutions. She has a can-do, will-do attitude. In pouring rain, she offered me an umbrella and was efficient to check me out. Thank you for your hospitality, Kresha!

- Travelmomma48 (10/5): Excellent customer service - After a long travel day and a harrowing experience with Hertz at the airport, the front desk at the Hilton Garden Inn at the Charlotte Airport was a godsend - I didn’t get his name but the young man who was at the desk at 9:30 pm was fantastic. THe next morning, Kresha was also super. The cleaning staff were friendly and hard at work when I checked out. Management should give this crew a shout out and well deserved praise (and maybe a little something) for the great work they are doing to service Hilton customers.

- Debra (10/5): - The whole experience! The shuttle to and from the airport was great! The staff at the desk was so friendly and efficient. The decor of the hotel was beautiful. The restaurant and bar looked very inviting if our arrival had not been so late in the evening we would have used it . The room was very large, comfortable bed. Everything was perfect!!!! Our only complaint was we couldn't have stayed longer to enjoy the room!!! We loved it all!!!

- kristin (5/5): Go elsewhere. - Nothing special about the property. 1. They should mention in advance that you need to pay an exorbitant amount for parking 2. The room was crazy hot. Turning off the heat did not suffice. The temp just kept going up - mid 70s. I turned on the air con in January when it was 40 degrees outside. And the a/c was loud. Difficult to sleep.

- Fred (8/5): NIce place but greedy-have to pay to self park in an open lot! - comfy room and bed. good restaurant food quality and good bar terrible hvac and doors that won't remain open when they should. I think it is absolutely outrageous to charge for self parking in an open lot. this was a nice place but I have no idea what they charged for the parking and desk staff didn't either. but I am going to lay you dollars to dimes I ain't paying for self parking in a lot again!
