• Justin (5/5): Not exactly a clean room, but a cozy place to sleep! - The bed was comfortable. The comforter was soft and warm. AC worked good. The pool is open 24/7! Which is so nice. The check in staff were amazing! 2/4 pillow cases had brown colored stains. The chair in the corner of the room was covered in stains. The shower curtain was barely long enough to reach into the bathtub.

• themomWarren (8/5): Good night's sleep - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The front desk staff is fabulous! (Simon and Nadia if I remember correctly.) They are friendly and made sure that everything was right in my room. The desk chair was dirty and they had Engineering replace it with a new one. Engineer was nice about it. Breakfast was good for a hotel. Attached to the Best Western and Green Mill. Bed is so comfy! I never heard anything from outside or the hallway.

The only ice machine that was working was on the 1st floor. We were on the 3rd floor. Also the hallways are way too humid for lung challenged people to breathe.

Clean halls & pool area!

So could not go out to eat or use the pool. I was kinda stuck in the room. The elevator quit working so had to stay in room until it was fixed so had to order in pizza and kids had to go and pick up from front desk.

• Amy (10/5): Happy Stay - Right when you walk in your greated by very friendly staff. That was a nice start to our stay. I really liked that there are restaurants connected to the hotel. The rooms were clean and you had the option to open the windows. The one restaurant we visited during our stay was open until 11pm, they were very kind and never told us to leave right at 11pm. I can't say I disliked anything.

• John (8/5): Excellent location, breakfast and customer service - BUT....the biggest annoyance was that the curtains don't fully cover the windows, only have the light white ones. However, the rooms that face west, when the sun sets it will be blinding in the room as there is nothing to block the sun to the west. Furthermore, at night they have a lot of lights in the parking lot that stream in through the windows the whole night. See picture as that was general look of the window from midnight until 6.
• Brian (10/5): - We just stayed here for a Hockey Tournament! This hotel staff was some of the BEST I have ever seen. They were friendly, helpful, and really tried to do whatever they needed to do to make the stay great! We had a pizza party for the team after a game, they grabbed plates and napkins and even found a large garbage can so we could clean up. They never got upset with the kids when they were being kids! I would recommend this property to everyone I know that is going to be in Willmar!

They lost one of the reservations and have refused to make it right. I have asked to speak to a regional manager but have not been provided a contact as requested. The customer services has been horrible.

• JenniferJ699 (10/5): Awesome Breakfast! - The breakfast is the best we've ever had at a hotel! Staff were very attentive to keeping tables in the breakfast area cleaned and sanitized. Pool and hot tub are open 24 hours. Rooms had a microwave and fridge. Bathrooms had Watkins bath products in dispensers attached to the shower wall, so you didn't worry about not having enough. They use Dove brand bar soap and lotion, a welcome upgrade from the standard "gritty" cheap bar soaps at other hotels. Rooms and lighting are modern and updated. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Tried to use the hot tub but it was SCALDING, so just went up for an early night. Otherwise everything was great. Fridge and microwave on the room which is always nice, and the pillows are super comfy.

• Erin (6/5): Dirty - Overall our stay was ok. The staff were friendly and the hotel was easy to access. But it was run down and more dirty than an average hotel (honestly most hotels are not very clean). The walls were visibly dirty, the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling terribly. Upon arrival I noticed empty food wrappers in the crack between the bed and the night stand-still just threw them away, gross, but fine. The real concern was as we were running through the room making sure we got everything we did a quick glance under the bed and there was a used tampon. I did call down to the front desk and let them know so it could be cleaned for the next guest. I was offered an apology, but honestly I am disappointed to have spent close to $400 for this experience. I am not sure an apology over the phone was sufficient. I am sure this isn’t the worst people have found in hotels, but this is definitely the worst I have experienced. Just disappointed, should have been caught by cleaners.
• Nicole (10/5): Excellent stay! - The Holiday Inn in Willmar was a great place for our families to stay. The kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast provided in the morning.
• davmach1 (2/5): Total Dive - I travel all the time so am a gold, platinum, diamond whatever and always book in advance but when I arrived I asked the young guy at the front desk for a top floor and he says they have a blah, blah group coming and everything is sold out then hands me a key to the first floor. The parking lot was practically empty and wasn't even that full the next morning and to top it off my booking ap still had rooms available. The Kid could have at least looked but obviously he was to busy with something else, right. The room was small but fairly clean but being on the first floor I had to listen to all the construction guys making noise half the night. I'm sorry but with this chain so frequently as I do I expect a top floor when my profile and all preferences say TOP FLOOR. I definitely hope I don't have to come back and will not stay here if I do.

• JKM6969 (10/5): Worth The $$$ - We were passing through Willmar on our way headed to northern Minnesota. Just a family of four needing a good nights rest and some relaxation. The bed was the most comfortable sleep that I ever had in a hotel. The next morning the shower was so comfortable that I wanted to stay in there the rest of the day. Overall, a very comfortable place to stay while traveling through the area.

We had no complaints. Facility was clean & well kept. I appreciated actual, nice pillows—unlike most skimpy, flat ones you’ll find other places. I must commend Jesse, the breakfast attendant, for going out of his way to be friendly and helpful. When I came down to the breakfast area a little later, for more coffee, Jesse greeted me by name, as he did the second morning. I’m not sure why the rate was $25 more than the adjoining Best Western Plus, but it was quiet & comfortable.
• 4girls4us (10/5): Excellent Hotel & Staff - The staff are top notch. Polite, personable, and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. Hotel is clean. Beds are super comfy. In the morning we were greeted by Jesse at breakfast. He introduced himself, shook our hands and even came over to make sure we didn't need anything. Excellent service.
• wmcopig (4/5): Overnight not great but not worth what we were charged - Ok we stayed 1 night before I moved my daughter into her apartment for the summer. Well the hotel is not full and they will not negotiate the price. Ok not wanting free. But the hotel is at 15% capacity and they are unwilling to negotiate the nightly rate. We paid stayed and left. Breakfast is sub par omelette is not tasty at all despite the looks.
• kennyking4 (10/5): Clean, comfortable place to stay - I recently stayed here when I was in Willmar for business. The room was very clean, spacious, and updated. The hotel is attached to a conference center, pools and 2 bar/restaurants. Hot (free) breakfast in the morning was a nice perk! Staff was very friendly.
• CaliScrubJay (10/5): Trust the good reviews - This hotel was exceptional from the professional friendly employee Simon who let me see the room to make sure it was good for me and check in service to the room itself. Nice modern hotel very clean kept well well working appliances. No bathroom problems was a huge relief from previous towns I visited. I really like the Holiday Inn and the GM, David, is keeping his hotels run well and correctly and I will be calling to compliment them. Thanks for a beautiful stay with relaxation and ease. • d3ebo (10/5): Great location and wonderful hotel - I had a weekend conference at the Willmar Conference Center and the Holiday Inn Express was a perfect place to spend the night. Clean, comfortable room. Good breakfast choices. My room was on the first floor and was quiet. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Very friendly and helpful staff!
• frmr96 (10/5): Very nice hotel - Awesome hotel, very nice fitness room, excellent breakfast. Jesse the breakfast attendant is extremely friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel! Hotel is either very new or has been recently remodeled. Either way, very pleased with this hotel!
