• LISA (10/5): Lovely place - We were in room 12. Very cosy but it had everything we needed. Private balcony overlooking the river. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The food in the restaurant was delicious but be warned the portions a quite large. We both slept really well. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast options were good. I had cereal, fruit and a Danish pastry, all delicious. My husband had a full English cooked breakfast, which was freshly cooked, hot and tasty. We will definitely return. Nothing.

I liked the homey English inn quality of the rooms and the dining area. The staff was super helpful and everything was easy. I would gladly stay there again when work takes me to Staines.
• Milena (9/5): - Looking for an alternative to generic airport hotels for a quick one-night stay and this was perfect. Lovely historic feeling to the place, and very comfortable. Wish we could have easily gotten there from Heathrow via public transport, but that's certainly not their fault - and the staff was so lovely about offering to order us a taxi (which was cheaper than Uber) the next morning.

Fabulous huge & comfortable bed. Makes it an extra special stay! Our bedroom overlooked the Thames, magical. Dining room overlooks the river too. Wonderful breakfast, large choice & quite delicious ! Lots of thoughtful special touches too, top class tea & coffee machine in room,lovely toiletries. Landlord Paul and his deputy ( apologies I didn’t catch her name) could not be more welcoming and helpful. Such a jolly friendly people! Every need accommodated for, even a rather strange request ! Great location, short stroll into town. We liked Staines. Lots on offer. Would highly recommend this hotel. Nothing.

• Anna (8/5): Amazing boutique stay close to Heathrow - Great hotel! Good proximity to Heathrow. No problem parking. Loved the pub and views of the Thames. Lovely suite, very clean and comfy. The drive to the airport can be tricky though especially in rush hour so give yourself extra time.

• kelly (6/5): One night stay - The room was decorated to a good standard, good amenities and a modern bathroom. Great breakfast options. Lovely riverside location The hotel is old and quirky, the floor in our room was not level and not comfortable to walk around. The pillows were too hard to the point we didn’t use them- as we were only staying one night it wasn’t a big deal. We knew parking wasn’t available at the time of booking, the property could really benefit if this became an option.

It's a really lovely old hotel with an amazing river view, cosy room, excellent food and very friendly, attentive staff. I absolutely enjoyed my stay. Thank you! London and Windsor were easily reached by train.

Made us feel off balance until we got used to it.

The food was good - standard pub fare with good ingredients. I had an amazing view from my room and from the restaurant. The ease of access to walk along the Thames was fantastic. Not much - there were fireworks in the area that were loud in the evening, but I know its not unusual for this time of year.

Even though it’s a pub, we didn’t notice any noise. Perfect for a one night stopover between flights, given only 10-15mins from Heathrow but so much nicer than an airport hotel. Bathroom a little on the small size.

• Lisa (10/5): Quaint hotel convenient to London Heathrow - The Swan Hotel is a lovely quaint hotel with a pub situated by the Thames River. We had a very brief stay since we arrived late and were catching a flight early the next morning. We found the manager on duty to be extremely helpful and kind. My husband was hungry and the pub was closing soon after our arrival but he arranged a quick and delicious bite which went above and beyond expectations. The bed was comfortable and in-room coffee and teas were provided. The soaps in the bath were of high quality. We were sorry that we couldn't stay longer to enjoy the breakfast and view of the river.

We had an evening race at nearby Dorney Lake, it was my birthday and our anniversary the next day. We pitched up at 1pm when the check in wasn’t till 3pm. They were charming, found us a lovely room with a balcony. Lunch was fabulous. We were worried we wouldn’t get back in time for dinner as the kitchen normally closes 9-9:30pm but they held the restaurant open and we had another lovely meal before heading in to the bar to watch football on tv. Cannot fault any aspect of our stay. I was amazed the place isn’t full every night
