Yan (9/5): Great Stay, Great Service, Great Location - The hotel is conveniently located close to the Ancient Town and other attractions. Kunming Railway Station is approximately 20–30 minutes away by Didi. Overall, the stay was very pleasant. The staff were polite and helpful, especially Ms. Lucy and another staff member (apologies for not recalling his name), who assisted in arranging the car to the airport.

Bruno (9/5): Super Frühstück, gute Lage, schlechte Klimaanlage - Grosses Zimmer, gutes Bett, geräumiges Badezimmer mit Walk-in Dusche, gute Lage Nähe Jinbi Square und Fussgängerzone, sehr gutes Morgenbuffet, nettes Personal Aus der Klimaanlage kam nur warme Luft. Die Zimmertemperatur bei Ankunft betrug 27 Grad. Auf Anfrage hin stellte das Hotel ein Kühlgerät zur Verfügung. Das half aber auch nicht. Wir mussten nachts die Balkontüre offen lassen, um schlafen zu können. Das haben wir mit Mücken im Zimmer bezahlt. Das Hotel wäre perfekt gewesen wenn die Klimaanlage funktioniert hätte.

mui lee (8/5): a pleasant central place to stay for a short trip in Kunming on the way to Lijiang - the attentive service provided by front desk staff Devin. I left my blood pressure medication in the taxi I took from the airport to the hotel and the driver could not be contacted. Devin was extremely helpful. He helped me to locate a nearby pharmacy where I can buy the medication I needed. This is not an easy task as the name of my medicine is in English and he got it translated into Mandarin. He even got it written in Mandarin for me. I was really thankful because the pharmacist in the pharmacy can not speak English. Without Devin's help, I would have a see a local doctor in order to buy the medicine. I really want to thank Devin for his help. It's always the people that makes the difference on a trip, so my trip to Lijiang via Kunming was made special by the staff Mr Kevin from Crown Plaza city Kunming. Much appreciated.

na (10/5): A perfect stay - Everything was perfect. Especially the staff was very friendly professional and helped us with everything. All of them. An employee was being very loudly reprimanded by a supervisor in the breakfast restaurant for several minutes, while all the guests had to listen to the humiliating scene. This is difficult for us as Westerners to understand. But as a guest in another country, seeing different customs is part of the experience.

KHENG MIN (10/5): - First thing I noticed when arriving at Crowne Plaza Kunming City Centre is very nice short drive-way direct to the main entrance, under covered. Check-in was smooth and fast. Staff was courteous and helpful, speaking excellent English as well. The room was quite big, with a small balcony. Very clean, comfortable, and well furnished with all the small items found in a luxury hotel. Rooms was serviced and stocked-up everyday. There was an award winning Chinese restaurant on the 4th floor with very nice foods and at a reasonable prices. Service was also excellent. Breakfast and western meal are at 2nd floor - great variety of choices for the buffet breakfast. The location of the hotel was just nice for us, as it is just 300-400m away from a very nice food street and big food court with many many types of choices. It was also very easy to get a taxi or Didi to / from the hotel as they all knew where it is.

KHENG MIN (10/5): - Hotel is in the centre of City easy access to most places such as Old St and Kunming Station, very near to a food street & a big "food court" with lots of choices. The Chinese Restaurant at 4th floor is reasonably prices with excellence services and very tasty dishes. Breakfast at 2nd floor is also exceptional with local, tribal, western many choices. The air conditioning in the room is on the warmer side which is a bit uncomfortable, otherwise an exceptional room & great services.

Shun (10/5): Excellent client service culture - Very impressed with Jojo and Suvi at the lounge reception. We had an unusual problem with rescheduling a sector of our international flight - and only for one of a 2 person booking. We recognise it is not a routine duty for the reception staff at the lounge. Jojo and Suvi listened attentively to our request (in broken Chinese and English) and with the occasional feedback to make sure they understood our desired change. They then called the Airline company on our behalf and explained our situation very efficiently. We could not have done so ourselves as we cannot speak Chinese. After 30 minutes of patient interactions with the airline staff, our flights were rescheduled exactly to our request. Jojo and Suvi went above and beyond their duties to help us. We are very impressed with their client service attitude. Well trained and excellent client service culture. Keep up the good work! Equipping the toilet with bidet would be the icing in the cake*

Miguel (10/5): Great stay, great location, great breakfast - I loved my stay here, it has been my favorite hotel in a trip all around China. The room was comfortable, and the location was great - just a few minutes' walk from Tangzixiang station on the airport line, and easy walking distance from the lively central dining and shopping area. The breakfast was large and varied, with obvious attention put into providing local specialities. The staff were all kind and helpful, especially the very friendly English-speaking man who works in the breakfast area, who took special care to make sure that I experienced the most interesting dishes.

Yinqi (5/5): Not recommended - Location After I booked the hotel, I sent messages asking for pickup service from the airport. No one answered my message until I called ; then after two days, I was told that no driver was available. I arrived at 4pm and I was told that the room was not ready yet; and they couldn’t find my booking; it’s really a mess, which is unacceptable for a five star hotel. Also the housekeeping service was not good enough. No one changed or cleaned the wine glass.

Melissa (10/5): A Great Hotel in Downtown Kunming - The hotel has big clean rooms with comfy beds. AC works well and double glazed windows keeps sound out. Close to two metro stations, pedestrian streets, restaurants and bars. The breakfast buffet has a large selection of Western and Asian choices, and is so filing you can skip lunch! Some staff speak some littke English, the rest are happy to use a translation app.

Keith (10/5): A great place to stay - This was a great hotel to stay at for a number of reasons. First, it is in a very convenient location: it is only a couple of minutes walk of a subway station. Second, the hotel has self-service washers and dryers that you can use for free. Third, the hotel offers both complimentary high tea and a midnight snack of noodles. My room had a great view, and was very clean and modern. Ms. Beta was also super helpful.
