- Anna (10/5): - This hotel is in a tiny remote little town. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. They could have skimped and done less because there are few options to choose from. I would definitely recommend it if you’re exploring around the Hanksville area.
- Anna (8/5): - Needed a place to stay for the night with laundry on the way to Moab. Laundry was very convenient here (uses quarters- $3 wash, $1 dry). There were some critters that we had to deal with in the room, but to be expected in the desert. Bed was comfy, but AC unit was loud (free sound machine, I guess?).
- Kyla (8/5): - This motel had the best bed and pillows ever! It was clean but a little dated. I don't like shag rug in a motel, so I never took my flipflops off at all. The lady at the front desk was helpful both times I needed to see her.

It was OK I booked in on Hotels.com and they charged me $206.66 When I checked out of the hotel the bill showed $154.98 I should have called the hotel directly to make the reservation. I feel I was scammed by Hotels.com I’m trying to get a refund

It is clean, well located next to a full service gas station with a store and a burger restaurant, has amole parking and beautiful views. The rooms are recently renovated, very clean with comfy beds. Highly recommended.

The property was ok, but could have been cleaner (white towels were stained and old - understand the red dust is hard to get out, but not all the stains were dust…). Check in building smelled like sewage- not sure what was going on as there wasn’t any explanation. Luckily the rest of the hotel is separate and smelled fine. Bed was not comfortable - saggy in the middle. Would not stay again.

- Marie (10/5): - There aren’t many options for places to stay when visiting Great Basin National Park but I’m glad I chose this one! The rooms were simple but that’s all we needed for a one night stay. The black out curtains were great to keep the room dark for sleep. The restaurant was delicious! I honestly wasn’t expecting much considering there wasn’t much around but the food was great and the service was excellent. You’re also right next to a gas station so you can easily fill up and buy snacks.

Our only issue, and it is really not a big deal, we arrived around 2:15 and was told that they do not check anyone in before 3:00. Ok, we will just find something to do for an hour. Well...Hanksville really doesn't have a lot going on. We did manage to screw around for a while until we could get into our room. Beds were comfortable and we got a good night's sleep.
- William (10/5): Perfect hotel - I had been looking forward to going to Bluff for months. 5 nights before my arrival my original hotel (further away) cancelled on me. I called here and they were able to accommodate me. After arriving, I checked in and the room was perfect in every way. Clean, spacious, quiet, convenient. Would absolutely stay here again without looking anywhere else.

It has been refreshed and was very clean on our visit, but it is a roadside motel so don't expect the Ritz. Coffeemaker, fridge, microwave, nicer shower than I have at home, comfortable bed, quiet sleep.

The staff tried their best to help us with compensation for damages (I had just bought a new "fast charger" 2 days before I left) but it was 3 trips to the office, one trip to the connecting gas station where we were told the owner would be (he wasn't). The staff finally talked to the owner who offered us a $55.00 credit at the fast food cafe he also owned. We didn't want that and after a few more phone calls we were finally offered a $55.00 check but it meant us having to go back to the gas station to collect it. The staff was appologetic and kind, the owner not so much.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Always reliab - My 16th time staying here. This is a very reliable property in a remote area. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped. Staff is friendly. Due to the remoteness, the visitor must make allowances for some small glitch or another. This time, they ran out of non-decaf room coffee. I survived this ordeal.

- Pmhig (10/5): Welcoming retreat - Just left WS this morning. We had a most memorable time discovering all that Hanksville has to offer. We were given a modern spacious but comfy room with quality beds in the perfect location. The staff were incredibly helpful in allowing us to move our booking a couple of times due to unforeseen circumstances. They made sure the room was warm for us on arrival and responded to any teething problems immediately. Would recommend this haven.

We parked right out front with truck and 4-wheeler. And we walked to dinner; with incredible burgers and shakes! It is an incredible place; we highly recommend it and we hope to stay again.

No news channels, nothing! This place sucks for the price. Stay anywhere else but here. Not worth 50 a night and I paid 200. No amenities at all. Not worth the price!

My guess is that since I checked in after hours the key they left for me was for a room that was still being worked on? Anyway it wasnt a huge deal as I was just there overnight. Slept good, the bed was comfy and the TV worked!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay in Hanksville - This motel was great. I was told my room was recently remodeled, so my room might have been nicer than others. Lots of towels that were refreshed daily. As was the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The body lotion at the sink was very helpful too. Being in the desert, my skin was dry the entire trip. Employees and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful as well.

- ReadRibbet (8/5): Best Option for Lodging in the Hanksville Area - With Hanksville as our destination, lodging was a bit limited. The Whispering Pines was one of the few motels in the area. Other lodging contained more expenses cabins at campgrounds and other sites. It was surprising that the room rate was around $160 for a motel, but that was the cheapest option in the area. The Whispering Pines is conveniently located on scenic highway 95. In fact, the drive into Hanksville from the east is one of the most beautiful drives, we have ever experienced. It had plenty of off-street free parking with turn around space for larger vehicles. It is a retro motel, so you can park right at your door. It is comprised of two buildings -- one of which is two stories without elevators so consider that when booking your room. We had booked online and the check in was efficient and fast. The room was spacious with a large king bed, plank floors, and a separate vanity from the toilet and tub/shower. There was a lounge chair and a separate desk with chair. It was a clean room and generally clean grounds. It is near a gas station with conveniences including a burger restaurant. Across the street is a more upscale restaurant near the Roadsideamerica.com attraction the Hollow Mountain Gas Station -- an operating Sinclair gas station with its store in a mountain cave. Hanksville is a great central location to take in many of the sites in the area. It is very close to the amazing Goblin Valley State Park. The room had a mini fridge with no freezer section and a microwave. There was a hairdryer but no iron and board. There is a free reliable ice machine. Internet was free and reliable. There was not breakfast but a breakfast food truck was open nearly by. There is also a coin operated laundry. The motel was relatively quiet throughout the evening despite being very crowded.
