Guest Reviews
- patrick (8/5): -
- Marzullo (10/5): - It was xlean It's small
- Sharyn (3/5): The front desk gentleman was nice and the maid did bring new towels each day and make the bed & was - Every time the toilet was flushed you could here it in the shower and we thought it was going to come up. We froze for several nights because it got so cold and there is no heat. After my husband said something we were offered a heater but it didn't warm the room that much. It is not sound proof by any means and other guest would wake us up at all hours. The towels smelled like wet dog the last couple days. There was no microwave in each room so you had to go to the lobby.
- Stephanie (5/5): Overall not a bad stay - The charm Parking
- Brennan (10/5): We have stayed there many times and we have been happy every time. We don’t go to the beach to hang out in our room anyw - I love that there’s the porch to hang out on while all the classic cars or bikes or jeeps go by… Not enough on site parking but it’s understandable
- Pickle (2/5): Would not recommend - The only good thing was it being close to the board walk Wasn’t clean, bad smell, fridge was dirty, bed uncomfortable
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Wesley (10/5): -
- Marcelo (4/5): There has to be better options for 215 a night - I didn’t like that much but she even had blood stains on them Not much to say about the place
- Md Maminur (5/5): -
- Derek (6/5): -
- Delaynie (7/5): We stayed for 1 night and despite what some people say it was fine. - I liked that despite the google reviews it was clean. Theres a tv in the room that you could use as well which was a pleasant surprise. It was close to everywhere we went. Not easily accessible for people with leg issues or wheelchair users. The shower water nobs were useable but almost falling out of the wall. The hotel smelled a little funny but that wasnt a HUGE deal crack a window and it will go away.
- Kyle (1/5): Small room. Dirty. Things held together with tape. Uncomfortable. Water takes 10 minutes to get hot. - The closeness to the boardwalk Just about everything
- Carina (6/5): Good location and price was reasonable, but some small upgrades would make a really big difference. - There was no breakfast Water pressure in shower was terrible. (So bad i could not wash my hair). Water temperature also took an extremely long time to get warm/hot.
No hooks for clothes or towels. No bedside tables. No outlets except for TV & fridge. Also could not get TV to work. And wifi wasn't really working either.

- Loretta (8/5): Stayed here for boardwalk rock concert, staff was so very nice, was very decent price for the location but could hear al - Loved the staff and location of the property Very out dated, had to pay $25 a day for parking, hard mattress
- David (10/5): -
- Emily (10/5): - Awesome owner and housekeeping! Bathroom, small shower
- Paige (8/5): -
- Geoffry (7/5): Comfortable, clean and conveniently located. - Friendly staff, great location. Windows open so we had a nice ocean breeze in our room. Front steps a little intimidating if you are mobility impaired.
- Jeremy (9/5): - Felt clean and well upkept. Not much to offer in your room. Shower water pressure was almost non existent.
- Kimball (10/5): -
- elizabeth (10/5): Good, clean safe place with a great location - The property was in a great location to see the country calling concert. The price was very reasonable and the room was cleaned every day. The room could use a black wash rag to wash your face with make up on.
- Bethany (5/5): You get what you pay for - Location was perfect - very great location for the middle of the boardwalk close to either end. And very perfect location to the beach. Staff was helpful and kind. And there was free coffee every morning. The motel itself is not very clean when we first checked in our room was nice and clean and prepared however my 11yro had to poo and went to open the window- the window was rigged and the whole glass screen popped off. I told the front desk because I wasn't paying for someone else's error. The front desk then moved us to a new room no problem- however the new room was filthy. Aside from the dirtiness the worst part was the toilet - it never flushed it was clogged during our whole stay and we had to use the bathroom mostly on the boardwalk. Also the shower was really really really small and not clean. The water took about 20 minutes to turn hot. The lobby and building smell like chlorine and bleach and it made me think they were hiding bad plumbing throughout the building.

- Jess (3/5): -
- Lori (10/5): - It was a small cozy room. Perfect for a couple. You can see the ocean from the front porch. The manager was very welcoming and friendly. We had a great time.
- Spence (9/5): -
- Elvis (8/5): N/A - N/A N/A
- David P Brown (3/5): Very old boarding room type. - good location and onsight parking OLD OLD OLD room. basic cot for a bed, small old old old bathroom.
- Rivera (4/5): - I like the location is very near to the beach What I didn't like was that the kitchen doesn't work and also the place isn't very clean.
- Wiley (8/5): Overall a pleasant experience - Close to the beach and boardwalk. Unfair pricing, was charged full price while
new guests only paid half price.
- Nicholas (8/5): -
- veronica (10/5): Excelente - Todo el apartamento estaba muy limpio y no olia mal
- Gianna (8/5): - The place was quaint and homey. It is not the most upgraded property, but it was still a nice stay. Very nice staff. It was super close to everything you need and convenience of parking on the property. Everything was easy and clean.
- Nicholas (8/5): - Good people! I've been going there for a few year's. TV is hit or miss in each room, weather they work or not!
- Shaun (10/5): - The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms were so cute and cozy. The only down side was the bathroom in our room was a little bit hard to maneuver and wouldn't be the best for a person of larger stature other then that every thing was amazing. I loved the porch out front which provided a nice spot to sit and people watch. The gentleman working the front desk was very attentive and quick to offer any assistance you may need. I will definitely stay here again in the future.
- Thai (8/5): - At night my air didn’t work and the parking is not good you pay and have to park away from the location
- Solomon (10/5): -
- NiaVEVO (10/5): -
- Nicklas (4/5): It was alright. Really the place needed colder air conditioning for me to stay again. - It was super close to the boardwalk. If there wasn’t any parking spots you had to park at another place and the air conditioning could have been colder.
- Joseph (8/5): - No ice machine and pay parking
- Joselynn (5/5): Definitely was not my first choice, it was my only resort. - The gentleman at the front desk was super nice. And the location was great, near the boardwalk and by the beach. You have to pay for parking, and park at a diners parking spot. The place felt a little sketchy, looks pretty run down. The beds were super uncomfortable and hard. The towels looked pretty used up. The rooms are super small. I think for the amount I paid for two nights, wasn’t really worth it. Overpriced.
- TIMOTHY (3/5): -
- Eugenia (10/5): -
- Richard (8/5): - Close to boardwalk but no parking so you have to pay 15 extra dollars a day to park in 8 car parking lot so limited spots
- Ty (7/5): -
- Windiarini (6/5): Short stay - Location and friendly staff. Noisy neighbors in the weekend.
- Robin (3/5): -
- Violet (2/5): - terrifying, left in middle of night, suspicious mirror and door lock
- Ricardo (4/5): - Iiiiiiii
- Tedi (8/5): - You get what you pay for, price wise.
Great service.
- Teresa (10/5): - Staff was very friendly the entire time. Room was cleaned everyday. Free parking is misleading. That is for off street parking if you can find a place. You can pay $15 to park in the approved lots which only has 8 spots right at Surf Villa otherwise you park about 2 blocks away. We would definitely stay again.
- Lua79 (6/5): ottima posizione , decente soggiorno senza pretese - la struttura e ok , ma vecchia e con bisogno di qualche sistemata
- Peter (4/5): Would recommend if staying for a night - Location location location. Owner was really nice. The property was dated, wifi was not working, parking only has about 8 spaces in a sketchy dark alley.
- BRIAN (1/5): Poor - Close to beach Had to pay $15 to park at the place that only had 8 spots had a off site parking that was 2-3 blocks away, the WiFi for the tv did not work, very small room with a window unit a/c that blew directly on bed bed was not poor and pillows was worse
- Ella (7/5): My stay was nice I enjoyed it! - Cleanliness and close to boardwslk 🚿 shower
- Phil (10/5): - My favorite place for a quaint, clean room right on the "strip!" I come annually, and will be back.! Staff is especially nice, and the inn smelled so good.!
- Thompson (3/5): - Location to beach No parking, extremely small bathrooms.
- Ronan (7/5): -
- Amber (8/5): -
- Thomas (6/5): - Close proximity to the beach and boardwalk
Friendly staff Room on the small side.
Facilities a little dated.
Had to park off site ($15.00)
Booking.com said parking was free
(Street parking only)
- Kea (5/5): The stay was good. We had clean towels and toiletries. Just couldn’t get tv to work when the internet barely worked - Close to the beach and boardwalk. Walking distance to convenience stores. Internet was terrible. Not very much parking.
- willie (8/5): - The owner, I assume is a very nice person. The property in my opinion needs to be updated and manicured. The rooms def needs updating, the ceiling in my room needs to be re-done by a professional as you can see the masking tape and primer paint. The TV is too far from the bed, overall, the the rooms need to be redone. The area is nice and quiet, no receptionist after 10pm, only cameras, the front porch should be re-done also as the railings looks like it's been repainted repeatly before sanding and repairing. Replace the porch rug. Maybe in the mornings a very light breakfast to go with the coffee? Get rid of the vending machine and replace it. I hope to go back there next year.
- Silvia Karen (6/5): - This is a small place rooms are not to big but they have the necessary to have a good stay. The price was fair for the place. Is only on block to the boardwalk, what we love the most! To get access to parking you need to pay $15 a night. The guy at the reception Hector was so helpful and nice always attentive for whatever we needed
- Tori (5/5): Terrible parking, room was okay. Owner of parking lot was rude. - Decent location close to the boardwalk, room was clean. Had to pay $15 a day for parking, the parking was about 2 blocks away from the hotel. The guy who owned the parking lot was rude and made us move multiple times because we had a larger truck. Rooms are outdated but clean. It’s cheap and you get what you pay for.
- Dan (1/5): I'll never stay there again! - Not Much! 8 parking spaces for the whole Hotel. You had to pay extra to park in another Hotels lot & walk in excess of 2 blocks across very busy streets. Hot water took virtually 5 minutes to warm up. Bathroom faucet water squirted towards the wall. Tv is WiFi & the reception was very bad!
- joseph (8/5): -
- Ashley (3/5): - Cheap Parking was inconvenient, sink didn't work properly, shower was terrible, TV service didnt work, ac wasnt the best
- Kellie (1/5): Avoid, even if your on a tight budget, almost slept in my car - Proximity to the beach was the only good thing. There is no free parking, they said there was, it’s actually $15 a day to park a block and a half away. He said you could park on the street for free, but you actually can’t, you have to pay ParkMobile if you park on the street. TV didn’t work, nobody around to assist. Smoke free facility but people were smoking all around, had to put towels under the door to keep the smoke out.
- Brian (2/5): Not worth it - 32 rooms only 8 parking spacess6 Way overpriced. Room was tiny. Parking was absurd
- Castro (5/5): -
- james (8/5): Great beach location - My son and I were on a short beach vacation. The Villa was convenient to the beach, boardwalk, amusements, and favor restaurants and hangouts. The rooms were very comfortable and the owner/manager was very personable and always available for and needs. If you are on a beach trip and the room is just to sleep and relax in it was perfect. We parked off the street and never had to drive anywhere to enjoy a great stY at the beach.
- Griffin (5/5): The owner seems like a friendly guy, helpful, attentive. For a one night stay it was ok, but I wouldn’t have wanted to - Close proximity to board walk 1. Charging people to park
2. Bathroom and shower way too small
3. Having a WiFi password that was 16 digits long, when a shorter one is easier than a person typing into the tv remote controller to connect to streaming service ie netflix, etc.
4. Having to connect wirelessly to connect to any service which was spotty coverage and unreliable. Like why wasn’t this already set up by the owner?
- Devin (8/5): Decent place, would probably stay again, clean. - The room was clean, bathroom was clean as well. No weird smells, the lobby actually smelled very good like it had been cleaned recently. The man at the front desk was very friendly and professional, and answered all of my questions when I called on two separate occasions before the trip. It was pretty bare bones, the desk was wobbly, the floor was uneven, and it was pretty dated inside the room as well as in the common areas. No real complaints other than the wall, being a little bit thin and hearing other guests.
Overall, we’d probably stay here again, the location was really convenient. Parking was $15 a day, and you really can’t beat the location. There was free coffee in the lobby as well as a vending machine for soda, which was convenient. Was it the best day I’ve ever had anywhere? No. But my girlfriend and I were happy with it overall. Would’ve given it a higher rating, but two of the outlets in our room didn’t work, which was slightly inconvenient.
- Anthony (6/5): -
- Jaime (4/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): - Great location. Very quiet. Friendly staff
- Amber (10/5): Great! - Location was great. Staff member was very knowledgeable and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. Nice view of the ocean from our room. Nothing
- JAMES (10/5): -
- Amie Lynn (10/5): I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews about this hotel however, looking at the pictures and the description it was exactly - It was so close to the beach, one block walk to the boardwalk and beach. Overflow parking and behind the hotel for only $15 for the entire stay! The bathrooms were a little small and only offered a shower stall (no bath) and no shampoo, conditioner or body wash. However, they were up front and advertised all up front.
- Nina (9/5): Great stay for a couple - Location is great so close to the beach My tv didn’t work but I also didn’t ask for help.
- Gillian (8/5): - Was a bit weary booking this hotel for a last minute trip but was pleasantly surprised! Cute little house looking hotel. Staff was extremely friendly, room was located right on the first floor. The room felt like staying in your grandmothers house. Small room but felt very clean the entire stay. Bed was comfortable and Roku on the tv. Bathroom was extremely small but worked as needed. You can definitely tell the owners try to make it as comfortable as possible for guests. Perfect location ! Would stay again.
- Wychi (10/5): -
- Bobby (10/5): - Paying for parking
- hairston (8/5): - Location
Staff were friendly and nice
Liked the keyless entry to our room. Bathroom size, the shower, the shower floor, the shower size, the water pressure, a weird smell in the hallway as if the pipes were busted, not enough parking, the cleaning staff didn't change our bedsheets our entire 3 day stay
- Stacy (10/5): -
- Santos (2/5): - Staff (Hector) was excellent. His customer service skills were spot on. Works 8a to midnight. Dedicated. Building
- Queen (10/5): -
- Queen (10/5): -
- Ashley (10/5): - It was super clean from the hotel itself to our room. The beds were comfortable and clean even with coffee in the morning& water. Also it was on the beach side to where you just crossed the street to go.
- Swavely (8/5): Great place to lay your head if you are on a budget and looking to stay on the boardwalk. - great location, owner super nice, good value for price, exceptionally clean, staff very helpful sketchy out back, super small shower, tv hard to work
- Kidus (6/5): - The place had nice space but beds had stains on them and a lot of bugs.
- Jishel Mones (5/5): - The front desk receptionist
Location No facilities bed was making noise
- Antonio (10/5): - Very Friendly Staff and Cute
