The staff who helped get us checked in were welcoming and we appreciated being welcomed back when we came back each night. Our room with the view of The Empire State Building was very comfortable. It was nice to fall asleep to the twinkling lights. The bed was comfortable; the shower pressure refreshing; and the rooftop bar was a great spot for a quick lunch. This spot is perfect for all midtown activities — shopping in garment district, seeing a show, or hanging out in the beautiful Bryant Park. We are already talking about our next stay!
Inez (10/5): Excellent stay! - This hotel was a great surprise! I’ve stayed near Bryant Park before, and really like the area. The staff were really, very nice…everyone! The mattress, linens and pillows were very comfortable , the bathroom super clean. Rooms and bathrooms are on the small side, but I don’t care! Our room faced the Empire State Building, which was an added bonus. The rooftop bar was excellent, as was the lobby bar. There was nothing negative to our stay! I shall return! Nothing! Everything was great!

Destination364632 (10/5): Nice boutique hotel - My daughter and I spent five nights here while visiting NYC. Nice quaint hotel off the beaten path of the busy city. Close to 5th Avenue and Bryant Park. Lovely rooftop bar with a great Sunday brunch. Food delicious! Hotel bar in lobby also nice place for light bites and drinks. Very clean rooms, nice amenities however rooms a tiny bit small. But good value relative to other NYC hotels. It’s an easy walk to Times Square and to all the Broadway theaters. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Enfin lors du Check in Diana m’a demandé l’objet de notre visite s’il y’a ait un événement particulier j’ai expliqué que c’était un cadeau pour mes 40 ans du 4 juillet dernier de mes parents mes amis . Nous sommes parti visiter NYC et en rentrant j’avais une belle surprise des petits gâteaux happy birthday une jolie carte pour moi et une bouteille. Je les remercie infiniment pour leur détails, leur dévouement pour leur client. J’ai été très touché par Diana et le reste du personnel. Les femmes de ménages sont incroyables, très professionnel un travail remarquable également. Merci à toutes l’équipe de l’hôtel Archer. Staff was amazing, very helpful and thoughtful Spybar has beautiful views, drinks were quite good but def quite expensive. i thought the service could have been a bit better as well I think most rooms are small in NYC and the Archer was no exception Barely enough room for 2 bag or to walk around- however that should not deter you as it is a very nice luxurious hotel

The views of the Empire State building are hard to beat, ensure you check it at dark on the hour for sparkling lights :) After staying in different areas of the city this area is my favorite - everything within reach, lots within walking distance, it is full of life but not crazy busy. Highly recommend.

The vibe, the service, the view of Empire State Building, the style of the hotel. And the location. Walking distance to lots of destinations, from Broadway to Central Park to Hudson Yards, and High Line, etc etc. Bryant park and subway are just steps away. Not much really :) The Easter weekend brunch at the roof top restaurant was not what I expected. It still felt like a bar with just a few seats and a small restaurant menu, rather than the brunch feeling of food, relaxation, non rushing... So next time I won't go to a bar for brunch maybe :)

E' in una zona abbastanza tranquilla, ma ricca di locali per fare colazione e mangiare fuori. Lo staff poi è stato eccezionale: gentilissimo, professionale ed estremamente disponibile. L'hotel è poi molto pulito e le stanze, anche se piccole, sono comode (il letto è enorme e fantastico) e ben attrezzate. Le camere sono un pò piccole.

The staff were so friendly. So happy to help. We had 2 double bed rooms, on the eleventh floor. Both with a view of the Empire State Building. Complimentary coffee in the morning in the reception was a nice touch. Honestly couldn’t fault it.

Room size was beyond disappointing. I have no idea how 2 people can manage in their rooms. You can not open a luggage and keep it open. First, the location is unbeatable. You’re just steps away from the Broadway Theater District and within easy walking distance of iconic spots like the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Penn Station/Grand Central and Times Square (and other great museums!). It truly doesn’t get more convenient for a NYC trip. Second, the cleanliness and overall atmosphere were impeccable. The hotel has that perfect boutique feel—stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. Everything felt fresh and inviting throughout our stay. Third, the service and amenities are top notch. From the welcoming and attentive front desk to the onsite restaurant and rooftop bar, every detail is designed to elevate your experience. The team is incredibly service-oriented and genuinely cares about making your stay special. Fourth, the special touches are what truly set Archer apart. This was a repeat visit for me, and they went above and beyond. During my most recent March 2026 stay, every single team member we encountered was outstanding. They remembered my name (from my October visit - wow!), remembered I had two rooms booked for my party, and made us feel completely at home. Finally, the moment that sealed it for me—walking into our room to find a bottle of Prosecco on ice with three glasses, because someone remembered our group setup (two rooms: one double/double and a king that was booked right next door to each other - for our girls’ trip). That level of thoughtfulness is rare and so appreciated. I genuinely can’t imagine doing another New York Broadway trip without checking here first. Archer has completely set the standard for what hospitality should feel like. And if you go - you MUST leave home with an order of your own salted caramel (yummmmmmm)!

Super clean rooms, amazing, caring staff, beautiful views, great restaurant, and fabulous location. We also hosted a brunch on Sunday. It was perfect! Thank you, Archer. We’ll see you this summer.

angelapV6897XK (10/5): A Small, Quite Gem - Great little hideaway. The rooms are a little cramped if you're sharing with someone who is not a significant other, but the staff was a 10! The hotel was also quiet - which can be a real challenge in NYC. No sounds from rooms next door or above. No constant sound of toilets flushing. The restaurant was a bit limited in menu, and the service was somewhat understaffed, but still unfailing polite and pleasant. Bell staff and Front Desk were efficient and helpful. We were also pleasantly surprised to be allowed to check in early when we stopped to drop off our bags. Parking at the local garage is validated for a discount. And we found a great little restaurant just across the street at B38, that had a similar vibe - helpful, pleasant, great service (and great food!)

I appreciated the friendly atmosphere, the peaceful quiet and comfort of my room. Very clean and so many personal touches -- including daily treats, slippers, robe -- and great happy hour. Highly recommend as a solo traveller and hope to return soon!
L9734SJcharlotteb (10/5): Fantastic Hotel, Stunning Views, and Wonderful Staff - My second visit to New York completely changed my impression of the city, and this hotel played a big part in that. After a less-than-amazing experience on my first trip, this stay truly redeemed it. From the moment I arrived, the hotel offered incredible value for money. I stayed on the 21st floor in an Empire State Building view room, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up each morning, making a coffee, and opening the curtains to see the Empire State Building right in front of me was such a special way to start the day. I would highly recommend choosing the Empire view if you can. I opted for a walk-in shower bathroom, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. It came fully stocked with all the toiletries you might need. The room itself was tastefully decorated and felt fresh and comfortable throughout my stay. I particularly loved the thoughtful details — even the hotel slippers had a fun, unique design that added a nice touch. Another highlight was the small treats left in the room each day. These were often handcrafted and felt like a really thoughtful gesture that made the stay feel extra special. The room also had everything you could want in terms of amenities: a Nespresso coffee machine, a mini fridge, and a TV with Netflix and other streaming options, which made relaxing in the evenings very easy. Breakfast exceeded all my expectations. There was a fantastic range of freshly prepared options, including plenty of healthy choices. I had breakfast included with my room, and it was absolutely worth it. On my final evening, I visited the Skyglass Bar. The views were, of course, stunning, and the bar staff were incredibly friendly. I only had a glass of bubbles, but the cocktail menu looked amazing and I’d definitely try one next time. What really stood out throughout my stay was the staff. Every member of the team I interacted with was warm, welcoming, and helpful, which made the experience even better. I travel to New York regularly for work, and after this stay, I will absolutely be booking this hotel again.

Coastal50587367566 (10/5): Comfortable and good night's sleep - We had a quick one night stay. We arrived early, which they were able to check us right in. We requested a quiet room and it truly was quiet, which is hard to find in NYC (no view, but we didn't mind, we were just there to sleep). Perfectly clean, super comfortable bed & pillows. As others have noted, the room was small, would be tough to have a bunch of larger luggage as there's not much room to move around or put your luggage. The bathroom was a decent size considering the layout. We interacted with a few different staff and they were all friendly & helpful. Would stay again!

Climber63861520008 (10/5): A perfect landing pad for theater, shopping, and everything else the city has to offer. - While midtown can be a bit intense, the Archer is an oasis. It's boutique-y to a fault, with small but perfectly appointed rooms and fantastic views. It feels both modern and old school at the same time.

The complimentary salted caramels and Fiji water were a nice touch, with new treats delivered daily. Our Empire State view was amazing, and the location made it easy to walk to many favorite spots. The Spyglass was a bit disappointing due to limited seating (weather closed the outdoor area) and slower service. We could hear our neighbors, but it was still quiet enough to sleep well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, would return, and would recommend it to others.

Everything was very clean. We would definitely stay here again. Rooms were a bit small BUT so clean, comfortable and bed was huge. Bathroom was great and I always appreciate good water pressure in NYC. Also prices were reasonable for the weekend and rooftop bar was fun.

The room and bathroom are exceptionally clean. The room is quiet, and the bed is comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel.

Sightsee27686468593 (4/5): Definitely not a 4 star hotel. In a word, it’s just “Meh”… - The only word I can use to describe this hotel is “meh”…. It’s definitely NOT 4 star. The rooms are below average, pretty much like the service. When I checked in, they told me that one of my rooms amenities was ‘under bed storage’. When I got into the room, which was about as big as a broom closet, I could see why that was considered an ‘amenity’. On check in, i was put into a room with two single beds, and when i asked if they had any others available, they said they were full - which seemed unlikely, but let’s give them the benefit of the doubt. Four really crappy nights sleep, at almost $400 a night. The bathroom was tight, but fine - at least it was clean, I’ll give them that - but the bottle of shower gel on the wall of the shower was empty, and didn’t get refilled (luckily I had my own). The elevators took for ever too. On check out, I had asked to switch the payment method, but of course their card reader didn’t work, so they offered to take my card into the basement (no joke!) where someone would randomly punch in the numbers into a machine that only existed in Ty managers office for some reason… I said no, because I’m not comfortable with someone disappearing with my credit card where can’t see what they’re doing. Their card reader wasn’t working when I checked in either, so that took about 20 minutes longer than it should have done - I’m not sure how they were able to get me checked in without taking my card away then, which just made it seem even more sketchy when they offered to do it on check out. The people there are nice enough and friendly, but didn’t go out of their way to offer to help. If you stay here, expect the minimum. If you get more you might be pleasantly surprised. But, first impressions are everything, and mine was overwhelmingly underwhelming, so I won’t be going back. Do not recommend.
summerxleague (10/5): Comfy & Classy!! - Convenient, central location made getting around town a breeze. Staff was kind and friendly, room was small but well designed and comfortable. The whole building felt very chic and was clearly well maintained. We loved being able to see the Empire State Building from our room every night! We did not brave the rooftop bar this go-round since it was so frigid, but it’s on the agenda for our next visit! Would 100% stay again.
Yuki C. (8/5): Central but quiet - Super central location but on a relatively quiet street. Very comfy beds and friendly staff. Food at breakfast place (ground floor cafe) is amazing. The multi head charging cable from the phone on the night stand is genius. Windows of the room don't feel properly insulated. Can feel cold draft constantly seeping in. But the air conditioning fan is very loud (so is the ventilation in the bathroom btw), so to keep the room warm and quiet at the same time would be a challenge.. The power outlet nearest to the desk is quite far away. Not so handy for using laptop.
