• Isabella (7/5): É um tour, não é para relaxar - O quarto é grande e confortável! A experiência foi bem diferente do que eu imaginava. Nós reservamos 3 dias / 2 noites. (1) Primeiramente, eu não gostei que no segundo dia, tivemos que trocar de barco. Passamos o dia fazendo passeio em outro barco. Eu achava que ficariamos os 2 dias no Syrena e não trocar de barco durante o dia. (2) Os meus pais não gostam de acordar cedo e gostariam de escolher os passeios que iriam fazer, mas como tinhamos que mudar de barco, não tinha esta opção. As 6:30 AM tinhamos que estar no cafe da manha para poder mudar de barco na sequencia. Nós mudamos de barco para fazer o passeio e entao o Syrena volta para o porto para pegar mais pessoas. (3) Estavamos na noite do Reveillon e esperava mais. Achei que teria uma musica no rooftop ou uma ceia de final de ano. O jantar começou as 6:30 PM e quando era quase meia noite, quase todas as pessoas do barco ja estavam dormindo. Enquanto isso, eu vi os outros barcos com fogos de artifício e com pista de dança. No geral, é importante alinhar as expectativas, Saibam que é um tour e não um passeio para relaxar!

• Frederic (8/5): Good experience but could be improved - The ship is definitely older but functional. Friendly staff and helpful. Bring water as they charge for it through the cruise (all beverages are for sale). They need to improve their timetable as all boats are trying to do the same activities at the same time leading to the sites being extremely crowded (the second morning the sites were empty!). Overall worth it but if I was to go again, I would do a longer cruise or a day cruise.

When we are on board tthey gave us hot hearbl tea as welcome drink. All food served on board was delishous. They were well organised for all activities, In the cooking activity, poeple prepare vietnamese food and at dinner we ate it. We had wonderfull time on borad. They have shuttle from Hanoi to Halog Bay. We taked it and they pick up us from our hotel and drop off to hotel. The fee of shuttle is good. Room was small. When you open you baggage you could move a bit hard. You should pay your drinks. The prise of drinks was about 50% higher than city.

I had to pay $80 extra for my one child aged 11 years even though I booked 2bedrooms(2+1 configuration) for my family of 6(wife+ 4 children( 2 children are adult))

We had to move ships on the 2nd day not sure why but it was a bit of a nuisance as we had to carry our valuables on the day trip. Top deck on both ships didn't have any shaded area so you couldn't go upstairs during the day.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and they dealt professionally with other passengers who were rude and unreasonable with their demands. Our double bed cabin was really nice too. • Jana (8/5): Lovely well priced experience - middle range boat on fabulous Halong Bay, did 2 nights, lovely food and attentive staff, all activities were great was told via booking.com messenger to boat, we could use card to pay for bar tab at end but then manager said no, so paid in cash. then he realised we had not paid for travel from Hanoi, told him don’t have enough cash, the eftpos terminal suddenly appeared, just annoying. also asked for king bed at booking about three months before travel but was put in room with two singles! don’t provide an option if you don’t note it down when customer arrives, small issue I know but annoying

• Harshita (6/5): Don't be too excited - The food is nice, the views of Halong Bay in itself are great and the beds are really comfy. The cruise is by no means bad. It is just not as grand as it is advertised to be. The kitchen refuses to stock up on food again once the initial serving is gone from the buffet cloches. The manager drew up our bill for cash without checking with us (we wanted to pay by card) and was disgruntled when we made our final payment through card. He is not rude or unaccommodating though. Our room was not as nice as the pictures made it look and the bathrooms have no door (just a curtain). That was a bit strange. They also only told us on the day of the cruise that the Tai Chi class organized on the deck the next morning was cancelled, which could have easily been communicated on booking.com/WhatsApp where the manager had anyway reached out in advance.

• Laura (8/5): Great cruise - The cabin was nice and with a good shower, comfortable bed and great balcony. The cruise was great. The food was plentiful and tasty with a good variety at lunch and dinner. The excursions were good & well organised. The staff were friendly and attentive. The dinner lacked a meat option and so if you don’t like seafood you would be very limited. There was a lack of water provided on board and if you wanted a bottle you had to buy it from the bar. We had brought on water which saved us during Day 1 but water at meals would have been a great asset. There was a private tour on board with us. This made our experience a little less enjoyable as we were being treated differently wjth less perks even though we had paid for the same cruise. It is advertised as 2 day 1 night but it is really <24 hours so just be aware. Bring water & beer on board with you & you will love it!
• Harkness (9/5): Beautiful views on a lovely boat. - The rooms are great- we opted for the balcony option and it was honestly worth the extra money. The views were impressive. Bring your own water! It was 30 degrees and they only provided one small water bottle for both of us. Then, you had to pay 400,000 per 600ml each time you wanted water.

• Mayur (7/5): Good - Our cruise Manager "Son" was an amazing host with full of life and energy. He made sure all our queries are answered, he also played role of guide and the itinerary was kept entertaining. Food options for Non-Veg people are plenty. Pickups and Drops were properly arranged as per communication. Vegetarian people need to adjust with limited options though. Cruise was parked behind a big mountain at sunset, had it been at proper place, we could have got better sunset view to capture. The pricing for all the cruises are higher as compared to regular hotel stay in Vietnam overall. Movie/Karaoke singing event at night did not happen, other cruises were beaming with entertainment and noise until late night hours, our cruise went offline too early in the evening post dinner. I requested special birthday decoration & cake arrangements for my mother's birthday celebration on cruise, however, I did not receive any detailed response from cruise apart from charges for cake arrangement, which were expensive too.
• Lynn (1/5): Beware of scam - Nil We paid USD15 each for 1 way bus transfer to Halong Bay jetty. Waited 2 hours to be told when other cruises had set off that the 2 day 1 night cruise was cancelled with weather condition cited as a reason. The rest of the cruises did not seem to have this problem as the tourists boarded their boats with their luggage. In exchange we were told to convert to a day trip touring Halong Bay for 3 hours & an overnight stay at one of their affiliated hotels on the spot. We sensed something fishy & demanded a full refund. Wasted half a day at the jetty to get a refund.

• Sudip (6/5): Pleasant - The activities, the food. The attitude of the staff. They were looking for business everywhere. Started with a watery (too diluted) welcome drink, which set back the mood. Thereafter anything you ask for, one answer, Pay, Pay, Pay.

• Miguel (8/5): Small good cruise with friendly staff - Small boat, great staff, specially Son and Thai who were very helful all the way. Rooms with balcony are very nice, bed was firm but comfy, food was good, prices were reasonable, activities were great. Maybe dock a bit further from all the other boats at night. So the people that want to sleep earlier, dont have to listen to other boat's karaoke. For the rest everything was great.
• Geetha (6/5): Pleasant - Cleanliness. Comfortable and nice staff. They went out of their way to make veg food for us as many in my group were pure veg Old boat. No coffee or tea provided in the morning .

• Marion (10/5): Amazing from A to Z - Everything was perfect !! The crew is so great and ensure everything is perfect for you. We were a so happy with all of them, especially Yum. I strongly recommand 2 nights, the second day is so special and tailored specially for you. It has been a super experience and we do not regret a cent. Room a bit small but enough for 2 days.
• Dml73 (9/5): Enjoyable cruise - Lovely small boat. Good activities, great staff and wonderful food. When we anchoed in the bay for the night we were right next to a large boat playing loud music and singing Karaoke through microphones until midnight. Our boat was full of older people who were looking forward to a nice peaceful night at sea. It was the only thing that spoilt our cruise.
• Terri (8/5): Ha Long Bay with Syrena Cruises was a highlight - Tam and all the staff were wonderful and our cabin and the rest of the boat was spotless and clean. Great service and Great Value for money compared to some of the quotes I received. I would highly recommend the 2nights option. 1 night is not enough to experience the magnificent Ha Long bay.
• Mckeown (8/5): Stunning views, delicious food and a nice mix of activities and relaxation - Beautiful location, relaxing atmosphere, nice group of people on boat, fun activities like exploring caves and kayaking. There was a nice combination of relaxation and activities, such as Tai Chi and cooking classes.

• Keiichi (8/5): 船の老朽化を除き、一度乗って体験するが良い。 - 食事は、夕食はまずまず。朝食は 頂けない。ブランチは合格点だが、イマイチ。我々が利用した日の食事が毎回同じだとしたら、工夫が足りない。出身国が分かっているから、出来るだけ研究してそれに合わせられれば、合格だが、クルーザーと言うことを考えると、少し研究する必要ありと思う。 マネージャーの愛想良さ、努力、それに親切さはとても感じが良かった。船が建造されて10年と聞いたが、木造部分がかなり痛んでいた。幾クラシックの種類の船と言っても、少しずつ改良すべきだ。朝食とブランチの時間が近すぎて、一考を要する。船内のもてなしを再検討する必要有りと思われる。船長の航行操作が完璧、素晴らしかった。船室のドアが傷んでいて、鍵が上手く開け閉め出来ない。要修理、また、室内の蛍光灯が一つ切れていた。チェックが足りない。

I was so happy to have a bathroom with a big window, so that I could enjoy the view of Ha Long Bay while taking a shower. The wood structure was a bit outdated, but overall still quite cozy.
• Cuong (8/5): - Very touristy activities and crowded. Some random staff shouting at me to get out of my room for checkout with an hour left to go! Could not speak English so he just waved his hand and shouted checkout checkout repeatedly! Food is ok for catering style and buffet. The views of Ha Long which is what you do this for is fantastic especially at night and in the morning sun.

• Wendy (10/5): - Everything was fantastic about this overnight experience with Syrena Cruises. The staff were very attentive and nothing was a problem for them. We had a room with a balcony with a fantastic view of the limestone islands jutting out of the water. The meals were beautiful and we also did a cooking lesson with spring rolls. The activities were also great. We walked through a huge cave, swam at a beach and there was a chance to climb a hill to a temple. We also did tai chi early in the morning. I would definitely recommend Syrena Cruises.

• toraji (8/5): 満足感は高いです - １泊２日で利用しました。良かった点は、スタッフの対応の良さ。上陸時や船内の料理体験、イカ釣り体験などでは、親切に応対してくださいました。 船室と料理は、ものすごく良いとはいいませんが、及第点には達していると思います。広めの客室をリクエストして、その通りになりましたが、細長い部屋なので、寝室自体はそれほど広くはありません。 クルーズコースは一般的なものですが、いわゆる「サプライズ洞くつ」に寄れたのは良かったです。あとで知りましたが、別の船では１泊２日しても、ここに寄れないものも実際にあるようで、感動がまったく違うと思います。 やや残念な点は、風景に関しての情報提供が少ないところでしょうか。ハロン湾には、いろいろな形の岩があって、名前もついているように日本のガイドブックには書かれています。しかし、クルーズ中にそれらの紹介はありませんでした。不思議に思って、スタッフの一人に伝えると、そこからは親切に「あれはベトナムのお札に描かれている岩だ」などと丁寧に案内してくれました。同乗の外国人客からは「君たちのリクエストで、コースも少し変えてくれたようだ。ありがとう」と声を掛けられました。最初から案内があるのがベストかもしれませんが、この船のスタッフのフレンドリーさを考えると、いろいろ話しかけてみるといいかもしれません。

• Stefano (8/5): Halongbucht-Tour im März - Die Cruise in der Halongbucht war sehr schön. Ebenso das Schiff.. Der Transport mit dem Bus von Hanoi in die Bucht (ebenso zurück) dauerte jedoch viel länger als angegeben.Auch mussten wir vor der Rückfahrt 2 Stunden auf dem Schiff im Hafen auf den Bus warten. Die Crew war freundlich und hilfsbereit.

The Syrena van that picked us up from our hotel in Hanoi was big & comfy, (plenty of room for luggage) with free wifi & bottled water which were very handy for the almost 4 hours trip to Halong bay. The Syrena staff helped us carry our luggage onto the boat, we were very well looked after. We had a double room with balcony for added privacy. We had our designated dining table in the dining room with little flags representing the country were the guests were from. There's plenty of good food. On the first day, we visited places like the Surprise Cave, really surprising as it is huge, the views from the outside decks were excellent. Then visited the Ti Top island, climbing up the top is all worth it, for another magnificent views of Halong bay! Had fun & good exercise at the same time! Then dinner time, more good food on the boat with food demonstration & actual guests participation in Vietnamese spring roll making. 2nd day, taichi on the deck, early breakfast then kayaking & cruising on a sampan boat along Luon tunnel caves. Then brunch before check out. A wonderful experience indeed. Thumbs up & best wishes to Syrena Cruise.

• Alicia (10/5): Awesome Boat - This review is solely for the Syrena boat and staff. if I had to do Ha Long bay again, I don't think I would do a cruise. I would probably stay on an island and do day trips to less traveled areas... there is just too many people at the places they take you. however, it's pretty fun to be on a boat, so if you do do a cruise one night was more than enough for me. The boat was clean, the staff was awesome, and the good was good (nothing mind blowing, but definetely good), the beds and room were quite comfortable as well. We got a room with a balcony. Definetely worth it!
