- A4273IUvictoriab (10/5): Best Hotel Experience! - Our family had a two-week stay at Staybridge Suites and it was hands down the BEST hotel experience we’ve ever had. My husband was in town working, so it was mostly me and our two little boys enjoying the city and the hotel—and the staff truly made us feel like family. Princess at the front desk was amazing. She was always welcoming, helped with any questions I had, and was so sweet to my boys—she even surprised them with a candy bar one day which absolutely made their day! Elsa was also the sweetest. When we first arrived, my youngest wouldn’t give her the time of day (toddler life LOL!), but she never stopped being friendly. By the end of our stay, he was running to tell her hi and even blowing her kisses whenever he saw her cleaning the halls. Donnie and LaShawn did a fantastic job with the food service. Breakfast every morning was delicious (especially the cinnamon waffles!!!), and the evening happy hour was such a nice touch after long days out with the kids. My boys also made a friend in Preston, who was always so kind and helpful, opening or holding doors since my hands were usually full. We used the hotel pool almost every day, and one of the best parts was the park right beside the hotel that we could easily walk to with the kids! Spending two weeks somewhere really shows you how a place is run, and this team went above and beyond to take care of us. We felt genuinely welcomed and cared for the entire time. We will absolutely stay here again next time we’re in town!

- josecA4843GO (10/5): Feels like home!!! - We've all heard about "location-location-location" being one of the major factors in the Hotel industry...but this Staybridge Suites is more about "Family-Family-Family"!!! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the nicely updated and modern lounge and breakfast area. The Front Counter is staffed by professional, kind and welcoming employees...and that's the best way to describe Chrisella at the front desk! When I first met Chrisella, I had just traveled from Connecticut during the biggest blizzard the Northeast has had in nearly 50 year's. I had stayed the night and was in the are to provide Surgical Guidance and Support at Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital. Due to the level of flight cancelations and a second added surgery, I returned back to see if I could book 2 additional nights at Staybridge Suites. For obvious reasons and its proximity to a major Hospital and convenience of being located moments away from Tampa International Airport...the room availability was limited...and thats putting it kindly. Chrisella went above and beyond and even included her management, who also took part in exploring all of the available, and creative methods in getting me a room. With my mission accomplished, a clean, quiet and comfortable room secured, Chrisella took the time to explain the evenings events and cool features and amenities, that this fantastic facility offers. So yes...I'm an IGH member but we need to recognize the frequently overlooked individuals that make you feel like your home...even when your actual home is under 3 feet of snow!!! Jose R. - marykatef2013 (10/5): I screwed up the dates and had us checking in the day. We were checking out. When I realized that I called the hotel and - The service that we got from Princess and check-in was above and beyond. She is a real asset to the hotel.
- brettnyc (10/5): Great stay - I started off by talking to princess at the front desk a week before my reservation just to ask a few questions. She was amazing. You definitely have to give her a raise then the night before to confirm my reservation and had some interaction with her during the day when I was there She goes above and beyond. Rumc is clean beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet is more than adequate fresh fruit, hot boiled eggs, oatmeal waffle maker, which is the most important thing to me and some other hot items. Also, they do have a soda machine for breakfast not just juices which I did like.-. my only downfall of the hotel is that some people were raised in Barnes and are very inconsiderate throughout the course of the late night early morning. People just walk out. Talk loudly in the hallway and just let their door slam. I think a lot of times it was the people next to us cause our room was connected and the whole room would shake doors are heavy, but that's probably my only complaint it's not the hotel. It's the people with no common sense of not letting the door slam like a moron, but it was an awesome stay.. and like I said, whoever the manager is there I hope you're listening. Princess made my stay great definitely a raise

- c0nstandinat (4/5): Do not stay here if you need a parking space at the end of your evening. - Our trip to St Pete for an overnight vacation ended badly. We returned to our hotel at 1030 pm, only to find there was NOT ONE Parking space. The hotel had no recourse for us. No offer to move us to another IHG property nearby or send us to a public lot with a free UBER ride back etc. We ended up making the long drive home. Thank goodness we COULD get here. What would an out of state guest do? The next day, when we called IHG we received 12,000 points and our points back from the stay that wasn’t. I will never stay at this Staybridge again until they find an easy solution for the parking problem. It’s too bad, because the location is excellent and it’s a decent place to stay. . We’ve stayed here before, so knew the parking was tight, but never ended up as the “odd man out” in this crazy musical car game. One last comment; clearly this is not an unusual situation. Next door there is a business with a parking lot. There was a tow truck sitting there, just waiting to tow cars away. At the front desk there is a sign clearly stating not to park there. When you enter the lot (the easiest way to turn around to check for a parking space on your second try) there is also a sign stating cars will be towed.

The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was excellent, everything is clean, the kitchen is fully equipped and allowed us the opportunity to heat or even cook some food. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. As someone who has to eat, gluten-free, a special shout out to Donni in the kitchen who is able to make me a guaranteed gluten-free egg dish one morning. That kind of kindness was greatly appreciated. Also, the front desk staff were wonderful. In particular, Chrisella was so helpful in changing our room at a moments notice. The location is extremely convenient and we were able to walk to so many of the attractions we wanted to see. We would stay here again.

- love2fish66 (10/5): Great staff and wonderful location! - My husband had to have a procedure at nearby bayfront Hospital that involved us staying for several days, and I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtfulness and compassion that the staff showed , princess was the one that checked us in and was so bubbly and welcoming. It made us feel very good. Upon arrival, Liz was absolutely wonderful! She found out why I was there and that my husband was in the hospital and asked every time she saw me how he was doing and when he got out of the hospital I thought she was going to break into tears because she was so happy to see him walking and doing well! and also the ease of everything from booking to check out. The proximity to everything, the hospital, restaurants, and everything else was absolutely wonderful so many things within walking distance! we had a car, but I must say if you didn’t have a car it would be very easy to get to where you needed to be. We will definitely be booking at this location again! Thank you, Liz and princess!

We checked in on 11/4/2025 and was greeted by Princess at the front wo was super helpful and had informed of the benefits and amenities such as the social gathering that they provide during the weekdays from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and that the laundry room was free to use. This came in handy as we need to wash some our close. I would like to point something about the service at this hotel. I checked on 11/8/2025 and I realized that I left a sweater that I brought with me in my room. I called the front desk, and Princess answered the phone. I describe the sweater to her, and she was able to find it. She to such great lengths in assisting me by informing me that I can FedEx pick it up and ship it back to me. She confirmed for that she received the shipping label I created with FedEx. I can't thank her enough in assisting me with locating my sweater that I left behind and ensuring it can get to me. The hotel and rooms are spotless and very well kept by the entire staff. We had no complaints during our stay at this Staybridge Suites. I would recommend this to hotel to anyone. Very friendly staff.

- Valerie (10/5): Monthly fishing trip - Overall stay was really good. Room was nice but bathroom need eyes on it as if you were the one staying that night. The toilet in room 111 can stand a really good cleaning under the rim. No one should have to see that and I see everything due to my disability. The seal around the bottom of the toilet also needs to be bleached so it doesn’t look so bad. The shower floor gave a creepy vibe. I showed with me socks on. Not dirty but not unified. All in all I will definitely come back maybe once a month for fishing. it would be nice to know that you charge your guests $10 to park. I feel like you guys are trying to get over on your guest. Also it should be known about the $50 deposit in advance as well. NO SURPRISES please. Your staff was 100% on. Great job to them all. No photos this time. Hopefully I will see you guys again next month

The toilet bowl ran non stop, the AC sounded like a jet on takeoff. Then to top it off. Our first night there a fight broke out in the pool area with hotel guests. That one of the ladies pulled out mace and a baby got ran over. I expressed this to the management and was told by the manager that she inspected the room herself and that they had cleaned the light fixture. So there was a qtip and candy in the lights?… really. We were told that they would comp us a night… well that NEVER happened. They said that they would send up maintenance about the AC UNIT… apparently that never happened. They asked us to move into another room I just stood there cause it was only a couple of nights. I’ll never stay there again.. nor recommend it to anyone.

We did not have a remote for one of the tv’s. There was no soap for the bath. Other than that our stay was very nice. We did not get to use the pool. The room was very nice. Loved having a full kitchen. Room was clean. The breakfast was amazing! The front desk lady was very nice. We stayed in June and we will stay again.

We have stayed here multiple times Princess has always welcomed us with a warm smile, a kind, word, and great service. Christina has gone out of her way for us multiple times and was always great during our happy hour time.! Donnie and Preston always made sure that we had our coffee early in the morning since we are since we had to leave before 6:30. I own a food concession company and will be honored to have them work in my business . All four of them should be in the service and hospitality business.

Breakfast was great, as was happy hour! I was able to do my laundry without leaving the hotel. Everything was just above expectation. Loved it. It is also pet friendly! Any time I visit, this will be my go-to hotel.

If you can find more workers like Ms Tasha that would be excellent. Please find more Miss Tasha to work for your company we need more housekeepers like her okay

Very unsatisfied customer The only good thing is location.

Shower did not drain, standing in inches of water while showering. A lot of random people appeared to just be loitering in the lobby, pool area, gym. Breakfast promptly closed at closing time to the point that i couldn't finish putting cream in my coffee when I was being reminded they were closed. Closing time was 9:30 and they quickly put up gates shut the lights off and pushed everyone out. Odd vibe overall and not the normal Staybridge experience we're used to.

I checked into State Bridge Suites in downtown Saint Petersburg on May 20th for an extended stay due to a work transfer. At check-in, I requested a ground-floor room, but there were none available at the time. However, the front desk receptionist, Princess, went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable from the start. She was extremely courteous, professional, and took the time to explain all the amenities and services available on the property—something I truly appreciated since I’ll be here for over a month. Princess assured me she would follow up the next morning, and true to her word, when I returned from work the next day, she had two first-floor rooms ready for me to choose from. That level of care and follow-through is rare. Her dedication to guest service truly made a difference in my experience, and it's why I highly recommend staying here. Thanks again to Princess and the staff at State Bridge Suites for making my transition so smooth and welcoming!
- scottdc63 (4/5): An expensive disappointment for six nights - On previous trips to St Pete I had stayed closer to the Pier area but parking is a challenge and many hotels have valet only -- which is a nuisance if you leave several times a day -- so the Staybridge free parking lat and location was worth a try. The hotel rates are pretty close to others but without the parking fees, although the parking lot is very crowded. Well, as someone else noted in a review, this hotel was a big disappointment. I wish I had taken my $1,000 (six nights) elsewhere. To start with, I had a 3-day reservation but my business in St Pete was delayed by a day so I called the hotel to ask if I could move it back one day, and still have the three nights. They said I could if I sent them my new "itinerary," meaning my other hotel reservation. I explained that I did not have one and was told I would have to pay for the night anyway, so I decided to go ahead to St Pete and take a day sightseeing. The front desk staff was very pleasant for the entire stay and the room was large and well lighted. The shower rod was about to fall down, and I mentioned it to the desk on the second day and was told they would fix it. They never did. The bed was comfortable and the work desk was great. For a large room it was missing a luggage rack. The breakfasts were mediocre so I usually walked to a local coffee shop. The hotel orange juice was weak and watery. I had to extend my stay for three days and felt a weird vibe the longer I was there -- it was less of an overnight or weekend hotel than a long-term stay-place -- the same mothers in the morning scolding kids with backpacks to hurry and eat breakfast or be late for school... also a group of people who seemed to hang out all day at the pool or the gazebos behind the hotel. And the pool itself was crowded with up to a dozen kids most afternoons, which was odd since I never saw that many in the halls. Regulars sat on the patio and smoked afternoons and evenings. And daily maid service is "by request." The location was in fact convenient -- minutes to downtown or Albert Whitted Airport or the Pier, but the area had a seedy feel after dark, not conducive to walking the neighborhood. The hotel was quiet most evenings except for one night there was a loud grinding noise for hours until about 10 -- I think my second floor room was over the exercise room. Other maintenance issues: the faucet handles were all loose and "swingy" and something had been taken off the wall (photo). The stairwell exit door handle was missing -- a maid told me they would fix it right away but the door was propped open for the rest of my time there. I had time to look at other nearby options and small inns with 20 or 30 rooms, and parking, and will opt for one of them on my next St Pete visit. Not a repeat customer for this hotel.

The landscape lighting shone in the room, and it was a handicapped room where the drain for the shower was in the middle of the bathroom and not in the shower. The front desk was SO kind to relocate us to the fourth floor. This handicapped room had a lip on the shower, so it did not drain in the middle. The AC did not properly work, and we needed someone to come fix it. The bathroom shower stopped at one point, and we needed to troubleshoot and fix it ourselves since the maintenance person had gone home for the night. There was not enough parking, and we needed to park in another lot one night. The rooms need some updating. The staff was friendly and kind, but not overly helpful. It was one of the most expensive hotels around, but did not impress me nor was it worth the cost. Disappointing.
