Guest Reviews
- alvaro (10/5): - Na
- alvaro (10/5): - Amazing place. Unique view to the beach. Flawless service from Rossi. Delicious breakfast. A great host.
- Caroline (10/5): - Absolutely loved the hotel! Breakfast on the balcony was amazing and the room was large and very clean. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating, and he coordinated a shuttle to pick us up and drop us back off for dinner. Would absolutely recommend this hotel!
- Marion (8/5): - Beautiful
- Paul (10/5): - Great stay! Andrea and staff were so kind and accommodating! He greeted us upon arrival
and provided instructions on how to get to the city center (about a 15-20min walk).
The room was lovely with great views and a wonderful breakfast each morning on the balcony! He even organized a private car to take us a dinner at Da Constino which was amazing food and views!
- Sean (8/5): - This property has a beautiful outlook of Positano. It’s a little dated and tired but overall very nice. We stayed at Villa Mary previously (sister property) but couldn’t this time as we were traveling with our two young children. I’d definitely recommend Villa Mary as it’s a cut above Liparlati. Our only odd experience was receiving a message from the owner about leaving food out which attracts ants. We have an 18 month old who is prone to dropping food so this made our stay not as pleasant as we felt we needed to monitor our children even more.
- Stefanie (10/5): - We were more than delighted with our stay at Andrea’s place. The room was fantastic – spacious, comfortable, and everything worked perfectly. The terrace is definitely a highlight, offering a stunning view over Positano.
Andrea was always available for any questions and provided great support throughout our stay. His team was equally friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and made even better by the breathtaking view of Positano.
We were extremely satisfied and would gladly come back again. Many thanks to Andrea and his wonderful team! :)
- Diane (4/5): - I wouldn't recommend this stay for anyone visiting Positano. It is located in upper Positano, so everything is a bit far away. Typically, that's ok because you can use taxi's but they're very hard to come by around the area, in addition to all of the stairs you have to climb.
There are at least 50 stairs you have to haul your luggage up/down to get to the main door. The beds are rock hard, and the shower is fit for a toddler (not a full-size adult).
I left for the day and came back to broken glass on the floor, which I did not do. I contacted Andrea (the property manager), and there was no concern about it. The glass was left until the following morning (big shards of glass). As if that wasn't bad enough, we woke up to ants all over the place. They were all over the floor and up the wall; it was a complete infestation. When I mentioned it to Andrea, I was blamed for possibly eating food inside the room. There is no possible way for the infestation that was there to have come from "eating in the room," it had been there long before then.
On a positive note, the breakfast was good and the views were nice. If you're looking for a place to stay in Positano, you can certainly find better lodging accommodations than this one.
- Diana (10/5): - Just traveled Europe for 2 weeks and this by far was my favorite accommodation. The staff here is very friendly, and helpful. The view from the room is STUNNING, unreal—so beautiful. Eating breakfast on the terrace was a dream, not only was the food perfect but to able to sit on that terrace and eat with that view was the best part of my trip. Room was very clean and spacious. Would def come back here again. Not far from the main hub. Worth every penny.
- Mamata (10/5): - Amazing location, staff and room. We had a great balcony with ocean view. Loved our stay and highly recommend to anyone visiting positano!
- Jay (10/5): - Great place with great views and location. Andrea was always helpful anytime we asked.
- Jhony (10/5): - Andrea is an excellent host, very attentive in advance and can give you great tips for moving into, around and from Positano. The property is in prime condition, the housekeeper leaves it pristine each morning and the place has rare amenities like hidden drying racks which are not an eyesore for your photos but are convenient when traveling with what fits inside a backpack which makes all the difference.
The view from the balcony is breathtaking, both to the sea and the traditional Positano buildings on the cliffs. If you like walking around the places you visit, this property leaves you about halfway the whole circuit, out and to the right you eventually arrive to the best restaurants at the top of one cliff and if you walk to the left you arrive to stairs that take you to Positano beach and the most commercial areas. Breakfast: I can assure you that you get great value. Very abundant and top quality which for a family of 3 would run you down at the very least a hundred euro. Overall an excellent experience.
- debora (10/5): - had one of the best stays here! Andrea was an amazing host, so kind and welcoming. The room was spotless, very comfortable, and had everything I needed. The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious, with great variety and fresh ingredients. The location couldn’t have been more perfect, close to everything yet peaceful. Truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!
- saeid (10/5): - Nice and delicious breakfast
- Justin (10/5): - A wonderful place to stay in Positano!
- Samuel (10/5): - Not to expensive, 15,20 minutes by walk of everything , great service, breakfast at the room!! I recommand
- Joao (10/5): - Andrea and Rosa were amazing! They took really great care of us and made us feel like home!
Rosa prepares a great breakfast and it’s always on time.
We will definitely be coming back and for sure would recommend this for family and friends
- Aaron (10/5): - Pros: EVERYTHING!! We loved this space. It worked great for our family of three. The balcony was awesome. The breakfast was AMAZING. Everyone we encountered there was beyond helpful. I highly recommend checking this place out.
- Michelle (8/5): - The position was good, not far from the town centre, however, it had bus stop outside, if you didnt want to tackle the stairs. The room was spacious, cleaned every day, and a daily breakfast, which was nice. There was a lovely, large patio overlooking Positano, so the view was great. They had a small kitchenette, fridge tiny, no freezer, you could barely fit anything in it, so if you wanted to cook, it was a tad difficult.
Kitchen utensils, were at a bare minimum, with no condiments. If you are travelling for a few weeks, it is nice to able to have the option to cook. The staff were very attentive.
- Liliya (10/5): - Lovely property, great and large balcony with beautiful view. Very good breakfasts provided. Enjoyed my stay. Tiziana was very helpful!
- Becky (10/5): - We had a large room with a terrace with a beautiful view. The breakfast was plentiful and amazing. It was brought in the morning and placed on your table on the terrace. Andrea, the host, was so willing to accommodate us in every way. We loved our stay here.
- John Michael (8/5): - The property comprises of a large, comfortable, airy room with an ensuite shower room and a modest kitchenette. There is a wonderful large terrace with good views of Positano. An excellent breakfast is served on the terrace daily. It is an easy (downhill) walk to the town centre but a rather tougher one back up to Maison Liparlati - approximately 250 steps, I think.
- Clay (10/5): - The staff at Maison Liparlati were amazing. Andrea was there to assist upon check in and contacted us well before arrival. The area was close to the main center. The breakfast was amazing and included an omelet, fresh prosciutto, salami, fresh pastries, fruit, pancakes, waffles, and much more. Cannot say enough good things about this property! Definitely a 10/10!!
- Sharen (8/5): - The bedroom was excellent. High ceilings, spacious, nice decor and well appointed.
Breakfast was good, varied and plentiful.
Bathroom was disappointing with an extremely tiny shower and luke warm water. Bath towels were paper thin and rough to use.
No kettle or tea/coffee amenities provided despite a kitchenette in the room.
We had the lead in room so no sea view but lovely views of the district and mountains.
Property is a 15 minute walk to the shopping area in Positano and like all of this amazing village, loads of steps and narrow roads.
Lastly two large & steep flight of stairs to the property so carrying luggage up was challenging.
Overall a pleasant stay.
- Paul (10/5): - The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the room was very clean. Would definitely stay again!
Meget god service!
- Evelyn (10/5): - I loved everything about my stay at this property. Tiziana, Andrea were available to help whenever i had a question. Rosy served us a great breakfast every morning, and our room was cleaned every day. We will definitely return to Masionn Liparlati on our next trip to Positano.
- Joel (10/5): Fantastic Stay and Great Food - We had a fantastic stay; the owner/check-in was very friendly and helped us with site visits and dinner reservations. It made us feel welcomed and very hospitable.
Our room host was very accommodating; she arranged our breakfast when we were ready, which was the best breakfast we had on the whole trip. Our Marmalade selection was so incredible we found the local vendor and had some sent home for us.
We would return to this B&B.
- john (8/5): - Staff were excellent in assistance. The location was the only down side although most properties have the same problem. Overall I was happy with the stay.
- James (8/5): - We liked the large balcony. We didn’t like the lack restaurant in close proximity.
Tutto perfetto :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Personale gentilissimo
Locale pulito
Molto accoglienti
- Heta (6/5): - First I would like start off with the positives
Great customer service. They bring u breakfast in the morning and a good selection of items.
Local bus goes there and stop Is at the door step.
Room is big
Bathroom is big
Room is clean
Negatives
1 the bathroom sink- the water backs up. So it takes almost 20 minutes to go down
2 the bottom of the toilet has some type of disgusting stain
3 the towels need an upgrade for sure
4 despite the bathroom being big there is no bent so the bathroom is a bit smelly and humid also the shower is very small
5 television is like a 12 inch monitor
This isn’t a five star property or even a 4 star. It’s a 3 star.
- Malhotra (10/5): - The property was amazing overall and the best bang for your buck! Positano in general is very expensive compared to Sorrento, Rome, Florence and even Milan (at times). Tiziana was amazing and very accommodating to my Wife & I. She answered all my questions and showed us where to go step by step.
Views were nice; there is a hiking trail near by and it is 6-7 mins away walking from the touristy area. It's nice to be in a secluded area but minutes away from all the action. If you do plan on staying and want some privacy, this is the place to book. If you want to be with all the hype, noise, and young kids running around, then book something close to the beach!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay - Great stay with an excellent host and staff. Beautiful room, with a large terrace looking over the city (terraces are different sizes but I think ours was the largest). Requires some walking to get down into the main square but you can walk in about 10 min, and take a local bus back up. We would definitely stay here again if we get the chance to return to Positano!
- SukiH (10/5): - Maison Liparlati is a small, well run and conveniently located B&B in beautiful Positano. We were there for six nights, arriving just before my son’s wedding. Tiziana was very helpful in pointing us to key facilities nearby e.g. good restaurants, mini market, and the bus stop (30 metres away) that takes you pretty much anywhere in Positano and the Amalfi Coast. She also helped me identify a salon to do my hair and makeup for the wedding (Michele Calabrese).
We stayed in room 2 which was spacious and had its own kitchenette. The bed was comfortable and the blackout shutters were superb. We slept like babies!
Daily breakfast comprised eggs, waffles or pancakes, croissants, pastries, yoghurt, fruit juice and much more. It was delicious!! We asked and received a large pot of coffee that was a much welcome start to the day.
Each morning, breakfast was prepared by Giovana, who also cleaned the room every day. She was very helpful and lovely to deal with. She organised an iron and an ironing board, and ensured the room was spotless the day of my son’s wedding. My son came over to our room to get ready, and Tiziana made sure the photographer (Riccardo Cigno who is simply superb!!) felt welcome and supported in doing the photo shoot.
The night before we left, Tiziana sorted out our transfer back to Naples and gave us a beautiful print of Positano, which was very sweet indeed!
Thanks Tiziana & Giovana for your wonderful hospitality.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was great staff very friendly and helpful and breakfast was amazing
- Birgit (10/5): Helt magiskt!
Birgith & Margareta.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - There are so many reasons to love this property! As soon as I booked the reservation, there was a nice email from the owner Tiziana offering to help with any transportation to and from the hotel. Upon checking in (we were early and the room was available!). Tiziana came to our room to provide an overview of the town and set us up with the best table at DaCostantino for our final nights dinner which was superb in it's simple food and amazing view. The morning breakfast served daily on our private terrace was wonderful. Her team, especially Giovanna were so accommodating. Lots of steps up to the property & Giovanna nicely helped us bring up our luggage. Upon departure we received a lovely print of Positano with a thank you note from Tiziana wishing us a safe journey home. The room was clean and exactly as pictured on the website. Exceeded all expectations and the perfect way to end a two week stay in Italy. Highly recommend!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved the property, it was exactly what we wanted with stunning views from a big balcony.
- Matt (10/5): - Everything was amazing! Tizi and the staff go out of their way to make sure you have a perfect experience. Would highly recommend!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had a wonderful experience stayin with Tizi. Would highly recommend
- KELENI (10/5): Dream BnB - We absolutely loved our stay in Liparlati and Tizinia was an amazing host. My niece had joined us on this trip and we paid a nominal extra fee, which was no problem. The room was huge, clean, with a high ceiling and the terrace was amazing and you could see the hills of Positano from our vantage point. We were served an amazing breakfast each morning by the most gracious lady I have ever met. In addition to our wonderful stay, Tiziana recommended we have dinner at IL RITROVO, an amazing restaurant high in the hills above Positano known to serve local dishes and a free shuttle was provided. This was the highlight of our trip, because the service we received at IL RITROVO was exceptional, and Paulo our server was amazing. We were celebrating my niece's 21 birthday, and on that night, she felt like a princess. Grazie mille Tizinia
- Charles (10/5): - The hosts were very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast on the patio was a great way to start each day.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Enjoyed our view at Liparlati - Great location - really enjoyed our view of the sea from our balcony at breakfast each day. Bus stop is across the street for easy access to the beach, ferries and nearby towns. Management was very attentive to our needs. Highly recommended!
- karen (8/5): Best Bed & Breakfast ever! - We love Maison Liparlati. The owners Tiziana and her husband have gone above and beyond for us. She recommended the most amazing trattoria for our anniversary lunch. At La Taglatia. Also, the Tania who is in charge of our breakfast, serves us promptly every morning with the best breakfast you can ask for. Right on our balcony with views. She also did an amazing job cleaning and sprucing up our room every day. There’s nothing better than coming home to an extremely clean room. Only one downside was, if you want to get to the centre if Positano, you can either take the bus, just a minute away but about 20mins wait.. or you have to navigate the main roads, which is slightly terrifying since the roads are so narrow. Other than that, we will definitely stay with Tizi again. Thank you so much for an amazing stay. Regards, Karen, Tim & Atticus.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Relaxed, cosy and picturesque. - After a hectic few days in Rome, Positano was a nice relaxed break and our stay at this small yet cosy hotel fit the bill perfectly. Set back from the main tourist area in Lilparlati, it was an easy walk to the main township and beached which allowed for a bit of exploring. The views, although offset, were from an elevated position towards the western (and more picturesque) side of Positano. Our hosts helped us arrange transport to and from Naples for which we were met at the central station and driven in a comfortable vehicle which allowed us to stop along the way at Pompeii with free time which was fantastic. Breakfast is included and is served on the balcony each morning at a time of our choosing which really started our day on a high note. Our hiccup getting back to Naples was promptly rectified by our hosts and you feel well looked after whilst staying here....the host (Titziana) was always contactable for ideas and advice - her suggestions for our sightseeing were helpful with local knowledge but never pushy. A great stay, even for a family (the mainstay of their clientele appears to be couples!).
- Em (10/5): Not far from main square, beautiful room - Not far from main square, very knowledgeable and helpful owner, beautiful and clean room w great balcony and facilities to cook etc.
definitely would recommend!
- Kendall (10/5): Great B&B with an AMAZING view!! - Stayed here for our honeymoon, and couldn't have been happier. The rooms were very big and the terraces were even larger than expected. We had an amazing view and the owner (Tiziana) was so great and helpful! Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here!
- ROWSHANAK (10/5): Great room, great views and fantastic service! - Tiziana, the owner of the Hotel greeted us warmly and made lots of great recommendations for food and sightseeing. She booked the restaurants and transport with great efficiency. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. You have to walk on the main road with some blind turns and quite fast traffic to get into town, so you need to be careful if you have kids. Great rooms, very personal and friendly service. Would definately come back. Thank you Tiziana!
- Sonia (10/5): The Room with A View - The stay at Liparlati was excellent. I was traveling alone and the hostess Tiziana made sure I felt safe. She provided with many information so I can get by on my on. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable.
- G & L (10/5): Wonderful B&B - Wonderful B&B, with excellent staff. Easy access to the beach, shopping and transport
- Giuseppe (8/5): Villa Liparlati(Villa Mary) - It was a beautiful place but a little to far from the beach.
- Kelly (10/5): Excellent host - clean room with a view - Tiziana was just wonderful. She made excellent restaurant recommendations and made the bookings for us. The room is clean and modern and although the B&B is a bit of a walk from town, the views on the way down are breath taking. The only thing missing was an included breakfast.
- Cynthia (10/5): Thank you Tiziana! - The place is in a beautiful location cliff side. We had an amazing terrace with a postcard view of positano! Just beautiful. Tiziana was there to greet us and had a map and explained many things to us including possible day trips we could do and how. The bus route, ferry route, train routes. The mini market is just a few minutes walk. We extended our trip because we fell in love with Positano and The accommodation and Tiziana helped with that 100%. When I come back I will try to stay at one of her places and would recommend her to friends and family as she is so helpful to tourists.
- Amber (10/5): You'd be crazy staying somewhere else! - Tiziana is fantastic and makes it her job to ensure your comfort and enjoyment. She is from Positano and is a wonderful person to talk to about the area. I didn't actually stay in this particular hotel due to some admin things, but was put up in another hotel run by Tiziana, Villa Mary, which was wonderful and only a few buildings away. I'm sure both hotels are fantastic. I drove and parking was not an issue, there is valet parking available and whenever you need your vehicle they will bring it to you! Breakfast was incredible.
- Izabela Gratarolli (10/5): Excellent - The B&B is right beside a bus stop and a mini market, with great prosciutto and mozzarella, cold wine and beer, everything at a good price! We picked up a few things to eat in the balcony on our last night and it was lovely!
The staff was very helpful. Antonio was able to book us a transfer from Napoli in the very last minute and it was a very pleasant experience, the views are breathtaking, the driver Franco gave us great tips about the coast.
Tiziana welcomed us at the B&B, gave us a map and instructions about absolutely everything in Positano! Reaching her on the other days was very easy, since she gave us her cell phone number and we were able to iMessage her. Every time we were in doubt about something we would ask her and she would reply right away.
Constantino, who cleaned the rooms and brought us breakfast every morning, is very nice as well, he called the boat company (Gescab Travelmar) to check if the boats were departing on a regular schedule and also called the luggage company (Blu Porter) to check the prices for us.
The room is soooooooo pretty and cosy, everything is very new, the furniture, linens, towels, wall painting. We really felt at home.
The kitchen has an electric oven, a microwave, dishes, cutlery, glasses of wine and water, cups. It was about everything we needed, since we went out for lunch and dinner on most of our days.
Overall, amazing experience! Definitely recommend it!
