Guest Reviews
- Olivia (10/5): Beautiful for a picky chooser! - Beautiful authentic Balinese villa. The resort itself was beautiful was very unexpected as I don't think there are many pictures of it. Bed was big and comfortable and had a mosquito net around it which was useful. All the amenities were functioning and clean, and the outside bathroom was lovely. I was a bit sceptical at first due to all the insects but it was fine and kept clean. The villa was cleaned everyday, including the pool and fresh bottled water was stocked for free. One thing I would say that there could be a few more towels left but I'm sure they'd to given to on request. You'd have to get a taxi to and from the centre of Ubud but its not far and not expensive either. Wifi is very fast as well (Which couldnt be said for other, more expensive hotels we stayed at in Bali). All in all a great place to stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again in the future.
- Gary (4/5): - Everything is rundown and old. It feels like they havent upgrade the furniture for quite sometime.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Peaceful place at Ubud - Although it far from ubud center but gave us a convenient nature oriented stay. This villa is a good choice for those who decide only stay at room with not many public facilities
- amber (2/5): Location was good for what we needed. - Hotel room needs a lot of doing up.
Water tap from the sink ran out of the sink as it was loose so had to hold it in place for the water to run to the sink.
Paint peeling off the walls.
Mosquito nets around beds are dirty covered in marks.
The inside of the Bath tub was covered in dark brown marks.
The cups for coffee were dirty and stained and no cutlery was provided to make tea just a plastic drink stirer.
I think the whole of villa number 10 needs to be worked on.
- norma (10/5): Lovely private villa - Lovely completely private villa and pool with full outdoor bathroom. Very helpful staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The pool was nice and clean but it wasn’t that hot during our stay so we didn’t use it that much. The outdoor bathroom is spacious and provides both a shower and a bathtub but our toilet lacked a bit of cleanliness. The hotel is located outside of Ubud so you have to take a driver when you want to go there (70k one way). The hotel organized the drivers which was very convenient and worked very well.
- Jo (6/5): Spacious room, friendly staffs. - Nice place to relax but abit far from Ubod market and souvenir shops. More than one hour drive to Kuta and airport if theres no traffic.
- Miro (10/5): - great place to wind up few relax nights, away from the ubud central, costs about fixed fee of 70000rp to ubud by the villigers van as there are no taxis or grab available in the area but the stuff are super friendly and attendive if needed. scooter can be also arranged through the hotel if ur a ridder,
special thanks to Mr Wayan! a through caring and gentle man. we had the pleasure of having him around site seeing for half a day free of charge. villas are clean and as shown in the photos.
will be coming back
Desayuno aceptable aunque repetitivo.
- Daniel (10/5): Beautiful Villas Outside Ubud - This property's greatest asset is the staff. I am well travelled and have been to Bali before and must say the staff made all the difference for me. Wayan Aditya, Mr. Made and Mrs. Ayu were always pleasant, very professional and attentive to every need. Miss Ayu, Komang Okta and Made Ariantini greeted me always with a gracious smile. Special thanks Agus Cahya for his kindness and beautiful smile with every meal served. While this property deserves some attention to detail, it does provide a nice tropical setting for a quiet holiday retreat outside the busy tourist areas some of us travellers wish to avoid. I will definitely be back to Gino Feruci Villas. Again, I reiterate... thank you to all the incredible staff!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Lumayan tenang buat bulan madu. Jadi untuk waktu santai sangat tenang.
- Akash (10/5): very nice hotel and the pool was also clean - It was good to be there location was great and will surely go there in future
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Food wasn't that great and breakfast wasn't that special
- Ingrid (8/5): Value for Money - We stayed in a Private Pool Villa for about a week and found all the staff to be excellent.
Private pool was fantastic however access to pool is somewhat awkward. Located far from Ubud central and required us to take a taxi to go into Ubud for dinner. Rooms could do with a little sprucing up.
However we really enjoyed our stay and for the price it was great value for money.
- Paloma (2/5): Nos fuimos corriendo a otro hotel. Nunca me había pasado nada igual
- Verified traveler (10/5): Preciosa villa!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Beautiful Villa room and that's about it... - Private Villa was beautiful. The pool/outdoor bathroom was wonderful. Bed was huge and comfortable. However, communication to front desk was dreadful. Ordering food was an ordeal. Orders were often wrong & the food was not great. Location of villa is far from Ubud. If you don't have plans to leave villa this would be a great place to stay. Cost of transport gets expensive & they only have free transport twice a day to ubud but not back to villa. They do not do free airport transfers.
We had to book half a night stay as we had a late flight, the front desk said $50 extra to us which we were fine with. We were under the impression this was $50 rupiah or AU. When going to pay at checkout, they made us pay $50 US which bought the cost up to $70. Very misleading. When reading other reviews that the villa is 5min drive, expect 15min, there is always traffic. There is no way you can walk to Ubud as it's far away.
Do not get a massage at the villa, expensive and terrible. My partner & I went together, the ladies spoke the whole time while we were trying to relax, kept walking off in the middle of the massages.total waste of money and time.
Many better places to stay in Ubud.
- Claudia (8/5): Enjoyed our two nights stay - It is a lovely private villa for the family.
We have not stayed in a private villa before and this is definitely new for my son. He really enjoyed jumping into the pool from the room.
Air-conditioning was great and fun to have shower in the outdoor.. something different for a change for the little ones.
Breakfast was served in the villa which is relaxing and nice.
One suggestion is to arrange for more shuttle services to Ubud Market as there are no shops around the hotel nor convenience store.
- spencer (8/5): - Lovely plece to stay staff were excellent we will return.
One little drew back it needs a bar.
- jun (10/5): Amazing - So this hotel is absolutely amazing ! Firstly the villa Is stunning so peaceful and beautiful , the staff are amazing ! One night I got an awful ear infection and as soon as the lovely receptionist heard about this she ran out and got me medicine and told my fiancé to go back to the room and take care of me! Honestly I think it's so cheap, for a place like that should be super expensive but it's really cheap !
- Andrew (8/5): A relaxing little spot....! - Wifi was practically useless so go buy a SIM card and data. Long wait after ordering dinner, ad the food comes from a nearby restaurant. If they are busy, outside orders seem to go to the back of the queue.
- Daniel (8/5): Cinta Ruci..!! - Staff very helpful. We got the room at a good price, which should continue. We found everything very nice and quiet.
- Kein (8/5): - We have arrived villa at the night time, their friendly staff greeting us with a welcome drink.
The hotel location is quiet and 15 minutes away from Ubud market. I like their soft pillow that makes me sleep well at night. We saw a wild lizard has dropped into the swimming pool in the other day morning. Hence, you might need to check the swimming pool before using it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not good service - Some of staff were not kind at all. The room was not so clean a lot of dust in room and pool water was dirty. Bathtub was broken. The hotel didn't fill up tissue and didn't give all towers.
- Kathy (10/5): Loved our private villa! Would stay here again - This place was amazing because of how secluded it made us feel. The room layout was interesting and the outdoor bathroom was pretty fun to use and just made us feel more like we were on an exotic holiday. The private pool was great for relaxing and cooling us down since it was so hot in Bali, and it looks quite romantic at night. The staff were so lovely - great room service and brought us breakfast every morning. The only downside was there were a lot of insects that got in the room but we had insect repellant so we weren't too bothered by it. It was a bit far from the main town centre but we rented scooters from them which was convenient and lots of fun!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel tucked away from any main streets! - Very nice hotel, that was hidden from any busy streets. Close to city of Ubud, with a free shuttle taking you to where you wanted in Ubud. Good price for a spacious room with a private pool. We loved our stay at Gino Ferruci Villas!
- Mitchell (8/5): loved it - Really had a great time the villas were beautiful and the pool even though it was a little shallow. room service was great as were the staff. loved the monkey forrest an the site water rafting was awesome .
- Zhi (8/5): Nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. - Nice hotel in a calming & relaxing environment.
Staff is very friendly & helpful.
This is my 2nd stay with Gino Feruci Villa Ubud & would definitely revisit.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Value - Awesome villas just a short distance outside of Ubuds main centre. The villa was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Great staff who were very helpful with organising activities and taxis. Awesome value for money.
- Paul (10/5): Luxury without the pricetag - Excellent hotel, we are a young couple who wanted luxury at an affordable rate. We had so much space with an outdoor living area, ample room by the pool, king bed and large bath and bathroom of which was outdoors and added to the authentic feel the villa gave us. The pool had jets and lights that really gave it a 5 star feel at night.
Staff were really friendly and we felt they all would go above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
- ra (6/5): bad hotel far from the city center
Not clean - The bathroom is out side and the shower too much Lizard and creeping things
Its too far from the city center
The water in the private pool was very cold
- SoloTraveller (8/5): overall it was okay - pool was awesome.. breakfast was limited selection. the outdoor toilet was not as clean as expected.
- dinesh (8/5): Villa was provided uncleaned. - When we first checked in to the room, it was not clean, then we requested to give us another room, even therethe pool was not kept clean...landscape is dried off...for ubud standard it was not done great inside the villas.
- Chris (10/5): Quiet villa, perfect for getaway - The villa was nice and clean with friendly and helpful staff.
A tip for improvement is to have more variety of breakfast buffet and also to improve the cleanliness of the in-villa private pool.
Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I had a problem with my keycard to enter the villa stayed in, however the staff promptly helped us, escalated the issue to their manager, and eventually resolved it for us right there an then.
Definitely will recommend Gino Feruci.
- Amber (8/5): Pleasant stay - We stayed for 2 nights here and really enjoyed our selves. The private lap pool is luxurious! The staff was nice and attentive. They really helped me out when we arrived as I left our passports in nusa dua and they worked with our previous hotel to get them back to us safe! The surrounding neighborhood is not nice and you wouldn't want to walk around outside of the hotel! It's also a bit out of town and you have to pay taxis to get to and from ubud. Overall a good experience!!
- Dan (10/5): Hidden Gem - This hotel was fantastic. The staff was friendly and the rooms were great with your own pool to enjoy at any time, outdoor bathroom with bath big enough for two people and beautiful surrounding gardens with a stream running through the middle. I would definatly stay here again. It is a bit out of ubud but they provided 2 free shuttles a day in (with a 50,000rph/$5 taxi ride home).Probably the only bad thing I can say is the breakfast was a bit ordinary.
- whataletdown (6/5): Villa "without" pool - Villa was ok except that the pool was not fit for use. After informing them front desk, the villa staff came to clean the pool but it was still too dirty to use. The pool walls were filled with algae and nothing much could be done. I insisted that the water be changed but they merely added chlorine which didn't help much. Picture this - big ants, flowers, leaves on the surface of the pool and slippery pool walls and floor; it was more like a decorative water feature. If you want a villa with a private pool, pay a little more and go somewhere else. Otherwise, you might end up with a villa with a decorative pond with jacuzzi jets.
It was also disappointing that the hotel staff forgot to do up the villa in the morning.
Beware of trails of ants - we saw that and a dismembered mantis head on our bed!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Two night stay - We had a lovely time staying in this hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom and pool are. Lovely bonus. We had an incident where I slipped and twisted my knee on the tiles beside the pool...they get very slippy. Staff were helpful and called a doctor for me but I felt they should really address this problem so no more accidents occur.
- Chloe (10/5): Paradise in the middle of the jungle - Wonderful bed, wonderful pool, wonderful location. Exotic and romantic.
- pea (10/5): comfortable stay - Great property with friendly service
- maisara (10/5): Very quiet and spacious - It was a pleasant stay and accommodating staff too. A little too far from the airport (2 hours away) but it's definitely for those who seek something different from the bustling scene.
- Xenia (10/5): Beautiful room - We have a lovely room and service provided by the staff is very good.
- Jen (10/5): Luxury - Amazing villas, very helpful staff can't fault it at all apart from the location is a bit away from anything else but is only $10 return in a taxi to the Main Street. If you want a relaxing trip this is the place to stay!
