Amy (3/5): Disappointed - Unfortunately the photos are quite deceiving, the place wasn’t clean, no air conditioning, some of the units appeared to be emergency housing. I wouldn’t recommend No air conditioning, bugs constantly coming in due to deans bush being directly at the back door. Bed was 2 singles that kept rolling apart

Miao (1/5): Worst ever, Run away from this one - Nothing Worst experience ever. Filthy room. Hair on beddings, stains on couch, funny smell, stain on sink and toilet, and fights at 4am from studio downstair. A nightmare!

Davina (3/5): Un majestic - It was located in a good location to get to most places. It was less than majestic, decor is very dated. TV the same size as the microwave. There was a tv bracket in bedroom with no tv attached. The bed was not one of motel quality. Unable to relax and watch our small tv on the couch due to the state of being so over used. Leaving us no choice but to go out for the evening, on returning thinking I may relax in the bath. After running bath the feel of an unclean film on the inside of bath. Left us with not relaxing at all. Would not recommend or rebook.

Paid out of pocket on correct day. They said they would contact us regarding cancellation of the original booking but they ignored every attempt to contact them. Rotten wood, unsafe chairs, and not sound proof at all, tv did not work.

Amanda (2/5): Not happy being booked elsewhere without being advised-wouldn’t book here again. - Didn’t get to experience as were told we had been double booked so had to go elsewhere, even with a confirmation and paying for two nights through booking. Com Double booked without being advised until we had travelled 17hrs to check in. They took upon themselves to book us elsewhere but was away from family hence why we had booked here-ended up in town.
Georgia (1/5): Terrible - Nothing I arrived at this hotel only to be given a piece of paper and told I would be staying at the address that was written on it. Due to a leaky hotel. Which was hard to believe because the carpark was full. When I got to said motel they had absolutely no idea why I was there. They spoke little English. It was a bloody disaster. I will not be using booking.com ever again.

Sheila (6/5): good .. - close to the shops, transport and restaurant not enough cuttlery , only one teaspoon and one cup , no dish towel… the light in rhe bathroom not working
Darellee (1/5): - Dark Dingy Dirty! Unit was dirty and poorly lit with food splatters and black scuff marks all over the kitchen and bathroom, cupboards and utensils were filthy. Could have been better light if light shades were actually cleaned. Couch was stained and covered in muck. Both tvs in unit wouldn’t work. Trying to find staff to fix the problem was impossible, rang the manager who said no one was there to help and for me to just leave and apply to booking.com for a refund, then started shouting over me and talking down to me. So we left and applied for a refund, when booking.com confronted the manager he refused to cooperate with a refund. At this point the whole experience was nothing short of blatant theft. Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere.

Dione (1/5): Would not recommend the Majestic or their friend’s accommodation on Bealey Ave. - Motelier barely spoke English. Finally figured out they had no room for us as they had overbooked (gladly took our money though). Sent us to their friends dingy accommodation on Bealey Ave which was out of our way(sub par standards) and certainly not worth what was paid for the original accommodation. Alternative accommodation - too many men lurking around the property, needs renovation and better couches (like sitting on a park bench), door & window latches not very secure so 3 females didn’t feel safe.

Sara (4/5): Great location but disappointing stay - The location is great, walking distance to Riccaton mall, and there is a reasonable amount of parking The apartment was advertised as having a spa bath and was a big reason we chose this over other accommodation. The staff were aware it was broken and offered no partial refund or apology, and there were areas in the bath that were filthy The TV in the living area did not work, again, staff were aware of this and we were simply told to watch in the bedrooms only The rooms floors and walls were marked, kitchen drawers dirty, and amenities almost non existent, with 1/4 bottles of old hand soap and body wash on offer, which were not in original containers. We also did not get a kitchen towel to dry our own dishes? We had to ask to have our towels refreshed and bins emptied which we didn't think would be needed on a 4 person 2 night stay

Gina (4/5): We appreciated the staff interaction they were very polite and friendly. The room we stayed in needs a deep clean and fu - Staff members were polite, respectful and friendly. Almost all the furniture is stained and all needs replacing. Couch armrest was broken. Spa bath jets disconnected so the advert is misleading it’s just a large bath.

Joe (3/5): Will not stay there again. - Location. The room smelt musty! 2 seater couch was old and looked filthy. Sunk into it when sat on. No teaspoons, stupidly small qauntity of milk for 3 occupants. Curtains falling to bits. The whole facility looked old and neglected. Unfortunately not the only motel now in Christchurch that has the same issues. Sorry to say but it appears to be the same issue with the same type of management appearing all over the country.

Spa bath wouldn't work, would have been helpful of staff to offer to show how it worked. Also had a large suitcase that had to lug up the concrete steps, again no offer of help from staff.
