Guest Reviews
- Gama (8/5): - It has a nice first floor floorplan which made it convenient with parking right in front of your room
- Matthew (10/5): - Liked
- Matthew (10/5): - Great
- Mariah (2/5): - When we arrived, i was not sure if we were in the correct location because it looked like an abandoned motel. The windows of the motel were broken. There was noone staying there. We saw a few homeless hanging out, outside the doors. And the only car we saw had busted windows. It looked overall like an abandoned motel. Looked nothing like the pictures on expedia. We come into our bedroom & there is no chain lock. There is mold on the walls & on the AC unit. The beda sheets had black stains and the pillows looked used. The bathroom had black smudging on the bottom of the bathtub & that carpet arpund the room was sticky & damp. It looked like it was abandoned & furniture was placed. The room was a nonsmoke room but smelt heavily of cigarettes. Quality was absolutely disgusting. I asked the desk representative if we would be able switch our rooms since literally homeless was hanging out, outside the door we were going to be staying. I told him we would feel more comfortable & he said "Umm.. No". Then proceeded to tell me we would need to provide documentation for my service dog.. like Sir. Legally No i dont have too. & also yall are worried about an animal deposit for a room that wasnt sleepable.
- Gregory (8/5): - good morning
- Alejandra (2/5): - This place is not clean at all. Walked into our non smoking room, and all my family could smell was cigarette. The beds and pillows were stained. Also found hairs all over the beds along with bed bugs. Over all a very unpleasant experience. Checked out of that place as soon as possible. I would advise not to stay at this place.
- Marquia (10/5): - Nice clean room an big comfy beds. Friendly staff. Last minute availability
- Christina (6/5): not as good as before - Service used to be really good but this stay was not good at all. Only one girl was nice that worked the front desk, the heater didn’t work and they did not provide any extra blankets, out hotel door was hard to shut and it took several times for us to get it to latch shut and lock, breakfast was very disappointing
- Kasey (8/5): - Place was quiet n peacegul but froont desk lady took job too personally. Was rude most of the times n never got a housekeeper to offer to clean our room
- Rita (8/5): - Comfortable n quiet
- Brandon (2/5): Stay away - Don't bother staying here..😷
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Looking at the outside of the facility shows age and needs to be updated and modernized
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The sheets smelt like other people's sweat. And there was little hairs all over them. I tried wrapping my shirt around the pillow and still the smell of the dirty sheets was so strong. Disgusting. I also woke up with 3 BED BUG bites on my arm. That place needs to be inspected and shut down. I get that it's cheap, but I at least expect clean sheets.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was alright clean but the bedding dealt like it grains of salt.
- Mariah (2/5): - I liked the front desk staff from Jamaica he was nice to talk to made us fill welcomed
- Dorothy (6/5): - Had trouble with my confirmation number so it took around 45 minutes to check in. The room had stains on all the furniture it stunk really stuffy, i went to get the breakfast it claims it has available but there was nothing ay all..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff was rude while I was not even standing near the door to my room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This property looks NOTHING like the photos! Had there been other rooms available in any other hotel, we would have never stayed! A/c was leaking all over the carpet which caused the room to smell horrible!
- Chrissy (2/5): - Dirty room. Gross like hair clippings in the sink area and tub. Air conditioner buttons were filthy. Carpet was gross. Kitchen sink dribbled. idnr think to photo it.
- BJ (2/5): - This property needs major renovations and extermination for roaches.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our television wasn't working, so they agreed to let us move to the room next door. That was the only issue, and they made it right. The outside is nothing fancy, but the inside is clean and has the basics. We had to ask for an iron and hair dryer, and they provided both. Great location and friendly staff!
- Disappointed (4/5): - This place was basically a dump and definitely not worth the price. On top of that, my wife had a ring taken from the bathroom. Thumbs way down.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Staff was very nice. Property was very run down. Our door would not lock, and tv wouldn't work. Beds were clean, carpet was very dirty.
- Steve (2/5): - Roach infested.. roaches on bed in shower, dead roaches on floor... asked them to clean came back and still had dead roaches on floor.. i took the dead roaches in napkin to clerk so he could see and he said the peron before had reported same thing. this place should be reported to health inspection we left and rented somewhere else
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This property was in the right location. It was not cared for, peeling paint, poor outdoor lighting, front office was uninviting.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room wasn’t totally filthy. The mirror in front of the desk wasn’t cleaned but the bathroom mirror was. The sheets and towels smelled clean. The floor had a grimy feeling when walking barefoot. The AC had an odd smell.
- Tom (2/5): - I used to think this was a cute little place, but even though the place was completely empty they wouldn’t give us our regular room and the room they did give us was extremely dirty. The property also didn’t really feel safe, we will not be staying here again.
- CHAD (8/5): overall good value for the money - Doesn't look like much from the outside but the room looks great inside. Great accommodations. I would say the TV needed to be upgraded but that's it
- Mary (4/5): - Room really old dirty carpet. Air conditioner in room couldn't read or ajust
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I was there for a work trip. The property is very run down. The remote control was filthy as was the microwave buttons. You have to ask for a blow dryer and you have to go get it yourself. The key card deactivated twice two of the four nights I stayed and I had to walk to the office which was two buildings away. But the most annoying aspect was the WiFi. It constantly kicked me off and I’d have to resubmit.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It wasn't clean which was the main issue. I saw a cockaroach in my first room and fortunately, the staff allowed me to switch rooms. Cleaning service comes and cleans the rooms, but the rooms are not very clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - cxccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Our bed was broken and very uncomfortable. Breakfast was a joke. No coffee pot in the room. Run down property in very bad condition.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Met a need - Was ok for the price, clean and close to hospital.Only problem was half plugged shower head. It's an older motel, but looked like it it is being up dated.Just need a place to sleep a few hour and shower. If I was traveling for enjoyment I would pick another place.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was definitely NOT non-smoking! I’m allergic to smoke and woke the next morning with my eyes nearly swollen shut!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - (1) Restroom was dirty: hair in the toilet, hair behind the toilet seat and hair on the shower wall. (2) Broken (meth) pipe in the parking lot for days.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not Recommended - When I arrived, after having reserved and paid for a room online, on hotels.com, the front desk clerk told me to, "call Expedia and ask for your money back because we're full." I asked if all guests had checked in, he said no. So I said, "ok, I'm here, I already paid, let m have a room, and when the last guest shows up, tell them you're booked up." He said, "I'm sorry, I can't do that, I already called all the guests to confirm, and they said they'd be here in like 30 minutes." After about 15 minutes of this conversation, verbatim, he said, "Well, I have a room that's not been cleaned yet, I can give you that one." The room was indeed not clean.
I cannot, in good conscience, recommend a stay at this place.
- Y (4/5): - The place was incredibly run down... I had never been to a motel/hotel so run down, even the inexpensive ones.
- Peter (8/5): Good for a night's rest. - We just needed a no-frills place to get some rest, and we made the right choice here. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was simple, but adequate. No problems.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Liked the kitchenette. Was fairly clean. Adequate for the price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My stay at this place was great. Everything was as expected. The only thing The room had a kitchen
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Its okay if you wanna stay close to the interstate No Local Food or stores around No Gas stations for miles Staff was very helpful though and too care of our needs had to change rooms do to the room we first got was uncleaned
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hard to find the entrance or the office. The shower didn't work. The fridge was not turned on. The wi-fi password they gave me was wrong. The breakfast was stale and horrible.
- Kaneshia (6/5): It could’ve been better - The guy at the front desk was a little rude and he wouldn’t give us the WiFi password for my kids
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This was the dirtiest place I have ever stayed in. There was 1/2 of a crack pipe under the bed skirting, the floor was not vaccumed , there was a tube of lipstick between the bottom sheet and the mattress. There were blood stains on the top sheet. If I had not so tired I would have went else where. I do not!!! recommend this motel to anyone.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Found a used needle on the microwave the floor was dirty not vacumed propery and sheets were stained and had ciggertte burn marks shoer curtains wete also stained!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I couldn't stay. There were bed bugs on both beds. I walked in and right back out .
- Cisco (4/5): - My request for drive in room was not followed. The room was ok . Shower very good.
- Gina (2/5): Worst time ever! - First they gave me an occupied room and I walked in on someone in bed relaxing in their room, then I finally got into a room of my own and everything's all good it's 2 am and I just want a hot shower so I turn the faucet on switch only works in one position and that's on the cold water! Ugh talk about ruin my night!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - There staff is the best its nice and peaceful . I would most definitely come again.
- JIMMIE (10/5): Adequate - Functional
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Check in time and the breakfast was no good and also i had trouble getting the doors open
- jaime (2/5): Bed bugs - I only slept an hour. Had bed bugs crawling on me. Never again will I stay there. I was very disappointed.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very old
Normally 44$
Inflated price 179$ graduation weekend.
Stay somewhere else and Book early for Graduation weekend.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - paid 160.00 for one nite tv didn't work, air did not work, carpet really bad shape, room smelled very bad was not vacuumed .there was something going on in lubbock on the 17th no rooms anywhere. being seniors we really couldnt sleep in rent a car, very disappointed dont stay in room 115
- KH (2/5): - Broken windows, tv, a/c not working. Filthy. Wouldnt eat anything in that place. It was so loud, traffic noises, tv from next door kept us awake all night.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I didn't like any of my experience. But then again I probably wasn't there for more than 10 minutes. There was stuff in the back of the sink. Then it looked like there were red/brown stain on the toilet set. Nope they wiped right off with a wet paper towel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The person working was rude I didn't even check in cause he kept giving me somebody else's paperwork and then gone tell me I didn't booked there when I had the confirmation right in my had. It was a total disaster
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing... We booked a room with a King bed. We were given a room with 2 Dbl beds. We’re never informed prior to be charged.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I reserved a single king bed, and our room had two double beds. Since we checked in at 2 am, even after bringing it to the attention of the hotel, allI was told is "sorry". Beds arent the greatest, but the place was decently clean.
- Bianka (2/5): Hotel steals night stays!!! - Hotel offers poor customer service they are known to steal nights stay!!!
- Bianka (2/5): DISCUSTING HOTEL - Poor customer service. SCARY HOTEL!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Feel safe here. Very clean rooms. Excellent staff. Lousy breakfast
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property reminds me of the Bates Motel, except it's like it hasn't been occupied since the 60's. The room had an extremely strange smell that made me sneeze constantly and my girlfriend's throat raspy. The floor wasn't vacuumed, there was hair on the sheets and in the tub, and the toilet didn't even work.
On the plus side, there is a full-size fridge, a cooking range, and a sink. However, I would never stay there long enough to use any of those amenities.
We went for the "continental breakfast" and were greeted by cereal and bread that we feared were there for months, so we skipped it.
TLDR: Smelled dusty, musty, and rusty. Had to sleep in our clothes and leave them behind for good measure. 0/10
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Wish they had of had a coffee pot in the room. Other than that it was great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Previously stayed. Easy hihhway access. Like this property.
- Kenneth (2/5): Terrible!! - I generally don’t write reviews however this was a very bad experience. I understand the hotel is old however—-
Room was in extremely poor condition-
Tv had poor reception with a disgustingly dirty/sticky remote, microwave did not work, fridge had an inch of dust on it & bathroom door was filthy with greas stains (just to list a few) along with just poor cleaning through out. To top it off, when I got up to take a shower in the morning, the shower was broken & had absolutely no water coming out of it. When I told the gentleman at the front desk while checking out, he said I’m sorry to hear that. That’s it! No real concern. I’m by no means high maintenance, but l at least expect a working shower if I pay for a hotel!
- Venetta (8/5): It was in a good spot. - It was ok, I was there due to my grandson having surgery. So we where not in the room to much. The room was clean , the beds where ok. Will definitely stay there again.
- Tiffany (10/5): - Nice stay. Staff was great location was olay and the room was clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - How nice the staff was and how clean the rooms were. And it was in a good location.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Meh - Toilet was broken.
- Karina (6/5): Good the price. - Bed was ok, bathroom was clean, microwave and mini fridge a plus. No smell (thank god. For $50-60 i was expecting a smell lol) Windows were very dirty and so were mirrors. Front desk lady was super nice and helpful !
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Comforteor dirty with stains. Kitchen burner dirty
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The was no toilet paper, 1 towel in a room of 4 staying, leaves and debris all over floor and layers of dust on the TV and tables, mini refrigerator was leaking. Not worth the money we had to pay as a last resort since all other hotels were booked.
- Henry (4/5): Creative Photo - While the staff is friendly, the facility has seen better days, as has the carpet and furniture. Linens were new as picture suggests...
- Otis Lawrence (2/5): Worn out filthy motel. - It's an old drive up motel in bad disrepair. The carpet had filth and stains. Bathroom corners were 1 inch deep in dirt pushed there. Noisy all night from oil and construction workers. Walls are thin. Breakfast was a joke. Sorry. Not a place for me to return to.
- Larry (2/5): Cheep - Bugs in room, not clean and smelled
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice stay. Price was accommodatable for the stay
- Jennifer (10/5): Great hotel! - Looks scary, but is actually nice!
- James (8/5): Great for the money - Excellent value for the money and a feeling of being safe and secure due to the location.
- Scarlett (10/5): Comfortable, safe, and quiet - The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Unlike most hotels I've stayed in. It was quiet and close to the hospital.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very old motel with updated rooms. Continental breakfast was very minimal.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was still being cleaned after check in time of 3pm.
- Christian (10/5): Best place on short notice! - Great place. Super clean and smelled great!
- Tonya (6/5): - AC did not work right. So it was extremely hot!
- Rolando (2/5): - Hotel staff were very friendly and courteous.
Carpet was dirty and bed was infested with bed bugs.
I have 6 bed bug bites that got inflamed and blistered.
- Christian (2/5): Disaster - I did not get to sleep there, but the condition of the doors and the building just made me want to cancel my reservation. I did not get to see to bedroom as i was expecting worse.
- Grace (2/5): - Room smells, toilet bowl flush not working, no trash bin
- Bear (6/5): - The staff could be a little nicer, but the room was very clean and AC blew VERY cold (I really liked that lol).
- David (8/5): - For the price it was well worth it.
- QH (6/5): - Staff was very friendly. Accommodations were adequate. Room took a while to cool down, but finally did. Furnishings were outdated and worn. Not bad, just in need of some TLC.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Enjoyed my stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): Service is a little bit snooty. - The room was nice. The front desk lady was not very helpful. I asked how the rooms are here? She says " I dont know." I ask if there are any bugs or roaches? She says "I dont know, never stayed here before." They wouldn't except Visa debit card, only major credit card. She gave me the key to the room and said it was on the other side of the building. Come to find out, its right next to the office. She needs to learn to lie to me, give me some satisfaction for reserving a room at this location. Customer service needs work. Other than that, nice room and beds. Bad tv, but whatever.
- Stefanie (2/5): Worst experience I have ever had - Not only did the maid walk into our room bothnmornings with her own room card at 945-10 then on the morning we left told them that we stole a towel and charged my card before we got home which is not even 10min i trid telling him we did not steal. He man refuses to listen I am in praises of getting a lawyer. Worst stay ever
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a great stay! The room was cool in the heat, and that was a blessing. It was very nice. Just my key reader had issues. I had to get them to program it 3 times. But I loved staying there.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room they gave me smell like animal urine and the covers didn't even look like they're washed
- Sylvia (4/5): - Not happy. There were cockroaches in our first room, but all rooms were booked in the city so we couldn't move. We stayed the night, the bathtub did not drain, so we finally got a room change. Not enough towels, room not cleaned every day. Bugs in the room. My son was bitten numerous times. No hair blower, no hangers.
- April (6/5): Somewhere to sleep - It was ok. Based on reviews I thought it would have been better. For the price we paid, it was just adequate. Rooms are run down and barely clean, but it was a place to stay in the middle of a storm.
- Katy (4/5): - This hotel has great, friendly front desk staff but that is where it stops. We stayed in rooms 148 and 137. The cleanliness of rooms is disgusting. I wish I had taken pictures. Bathroom: Extractor/Fan was covered in dust and seemed like it wasnt touched or wiped down in months, the toilets had hairs and dust on thr bottom, sink had shavings from the prior customers stay, shower curtain had soap scum all on the bottom, the bathtub had dirty foot prints, floor had smudges like it had not been mopped for weeks, towels were clean. The room itself only had 3 lights working with one of them going out while we were staying, the tv was outdated but it worked, the beds were comfy, sheets were clean, pillowcases were old and pillows were lumpy. The table in the living room had a vinegar type smell that consumed the room so I had to go buy clorox wipes to get the stench out.
This hotel needs to close down. This is a budget hotel but that doesnt mean that the rooms should be given to customers in such conditions!
Unfortunately we had to stay because there were no other hotels available in the area that we were in. I will never again stay here and will never suggest people to stay in this hotel either.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Americas Best Value Inn Medical Center / Lubbock - Hotel had no record of receiving Expedia confirmation. Two rooms offered - one had broken air conditioner the other was a smoking room. The smoking room was accepted due to no other choice after arriving at 1am in the morning. Would not offer another hotel in area. After spending 20 minutes to get the door open the room, it smelt worse than an ash tray, carpet was disgusting, plumbing fixtures needed repair, cigarette burns on the tables, TV signal was poor. General Manager refused to talk to me on the phone while talking to the desk clerk.
