Very well equipped cottage and exceptionally clean!
Plenty of parking and beautiful views from the cottage. Nothing!
- Stuart (10/5): -
- sarah (10/5): Very easy, comfortable stay. - Easy to access. Clean. Comfortable. Breakfast basics and toiletries provided.
- Michael (10/5): lovely host, lovely location, great facilities - really nice caravan.....and a fantastic annex with kitchenette, toilet and really good shower
lovely grounds with free range chickens giving us wonderful fresh eggs the bed was a little small --- but that's expected in a caravan!!!!
- Adrian (10/5): Mary is the best - Lovely fresh eggs from the hosts chickens.
The host Mary was amazing....
- Oliver (10/5): - Very brief stay as travelled for the solstice but lovely property. Loved the history and little features. Nice garden also. Very peaceful and a lovely pub nearby thats walkable.
- John (8/5): Brilliant - Breakfast was great and a nice extra which made life a lot easier Bathroom downstairs but there is nothing you can do about that ! Could have done with a bin upstairs
- Abraham (9/5): Superb -
- Louise (10/5): Stunning - What an absolutely stunning place I cannot wait to visit here again so peaceful. The cottage itself was spotless and had everything you needed and more! There was nothing to dislike
- Aimé (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Absolute Gem! - The cottages were private, had great space, and had absolutely everything you'd need. The hosts were lovely & helpful. The Games Room & Firepit were just an added bonus! Local pub was 2 minutes down the road and town another 15 mins. Good parking and easy access. Nothing.
- Wilson (10/5): Exceptional - Great service friendly staff. Tranquil location.. N/A
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruth (10/5): Clean, comfy and lovely village location - Lovely cottage and lovely host.
The property was clean and had everything you need when staying away.
We stayed with two young children and it was perfect.
I noticed the cottage is dog friendly but you wouldn’t have known as it was so clean ( unlike some pet friendly places that have a smell of dogs).
The kitchen is well equipped and the host provided bread, eggs (from her own free range chicken), milk, tea and fresh coffee, Jam and proper butter.
The beds were comfy and with decent bedding (lovely pillows).
Very enjoyable overnight stay N/a
- David (9/5): Exceeded our expectations, we would stay there again - Quiet, homely, well equipped and provisioned. Maybe would have liked a bit more hanging space for kit, and didn’t like having to strip the beds in the morning. But really struggling to find anything significant to improve
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nichola (9/5): Superb - Well equipped
- Lauren (10/5): Perfect getaway space with games room and pub nearby - Great property with everything you need. Games room was amazing which was such a bonus for the property and a fab social space.

- Marion (7/5): Good -
- Claire (8/5): Very good -
- Tina (10/5): Cosy, well equipped cottage - The property is cosy, clean and has everything you need - so lovely to arrive and already be able to have a cuppa and not worry about the first breakfast. Eggs from the hens on the property was a bonus. The wood burner made it especially cosy for a winter stay. Parking is easy, lots of space. Walking. Distance to a pub - shame they don’t do food but they have food trucks . Wifi dropping out one evening was the only thing as phone signal isn’t great but good to get off the devices anyway.
- Petts (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - Beautiful cottage and perfect position for walking the MacMillan Way. Really helpful owner and the breakfast food were just what we needed esp the fresh eggs. Nothing, it was perfect!
- Dave (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cara (9/5): Superb -
- Johanna (10/5): Exceptional -

- Deborah (8/5): Very good -
- Donna (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (7/5): Good -
- Gina (6/5): Lovely cottage but too regimented in the morning and I was there to relax. - The cottage is beautiful set in lovely surroundings and everything you need inside. Stone floors, latch doors original features of the cottage. Bread, milk, eggs and cereal, tea, coffee etc left for you. That you need to check out by 10am whilst also making sure that you have washed up and put all the dishes and cutlery away and then sort out the bins making sure they are in the correct one and also stripping the beds putting them in bags, bathroom towels also. Quite demanding after a long drive behind and ahead of you. Owner at cottage outside at 9.55. Also lady living in caravan snapping at daughter about our dog to put on lead even though we were in our part of the garden and not in same vicinity as all her cats. Cottage stipulated dog friendly.
- Paul (9/5): 2 withy cottage - Nice touches, Luke an arrival pack of basics, milk, eggs (freshly laid from the chickens on site)sauce and jams, bath robes and toiletries Garden wasn't next to the house, very tight driveway and access to cottages.
- James (6/5): - Lovely quaint cottage ideal for a rural stay.
- Caroline (10/5): Welcoming and very comfortable - Lovely eggs from the resident hens! Nothing
- Sara (9/5): Fantastic cottage. We enjoyed our stay and found the host very helpful. Thank you for everything! So sorry we forgot to -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (9/5): Superb -
- Beth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Crystal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (9/5): Beautifully maintained property which was cosy and welcoming and had everything you needed for a few day away. Thank you - Beautifully clean. Lovely range of basics supplied by hosts. Fantastic accommodation Nothing major. The lane and parking a little trick for bigger cars but not a dislike really.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Cosy, excellent facilities, well thought out. I enjoyed the garden area and eating outside. Friendly welcoming host. There was nothing I didn't like .
- Colin (10/5): A dream cottage I would love to live in permanently. - Key code to get in sent via message prior to arrival. We arrived and straight in without having to do any form of check-in There really isn't anything not to like to be honest.
- Tristan (10/5): Great spot and lovely hosts. - Houses are lovely and clean. The hosts are incredibly hospitable and helpful. We had a great stay and would book again. Nothing, it was great.
- Shelley (10/5): Cosy and relaxing with so many “extras” - Lovely! cosy , clean , and homely , so many little extras , breakfast , and Mary the owner lovely lady ! the rose and crown pub at the end of the lane ! Nothing
- Marie (10/5): Lovely place to relax and enjoy and soak up the sun in the garden - Lovely space with nice touches. Great outdoor space and lovely hosts
- Lyudmyla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Terri (7/5): Well-appointed cottages - Really well stocked kitchen, good quality breakfast provisions. A lot was expected of guests with a very early checkout. It would be more appropriate to request laundry preparation if an 11am or later checkout was standard - we didn’t appreciate having to get up so early to strip the beds, take the rubbish out etc. It was also inconvenient to have incorrect guidance in the property and to have to wait for a response from the owners to be able to do the laundry.
- Tania (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chloe (10/5): - A wonderful place to stay! Beautiful house, spotless condition and a great games room for us to socialise in as well. Mary was the most excellent host, so friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond as a host! Thank you for everything, we would highly recommend.
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Couldn't have been better! The breakfast things provided were a lovely and welcome touch! -
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kasey (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! Amazing friendly hostesses, amazing facilities & hospitality on all fronts, stunning views & plenty to entertain ourselves. - Games room & the fire where a massive hit!
- Renata (10/5): Nice stay - Very original. The atmosphere of the historical countryside.
Gives the feeling of a family house. The hair dryer was not available.
- Ankur (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): January Short Break - A lovely cosy cottage with everything you need for a home from home holiday. Very warm, comfy beds and little thoughtful touches. Our dog enjoyed our stay too with grassy walks within meters of the front door. Langport has some great walks alongside the river and lots of very nice places to eat.
- Hawkes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daryan (10/5): Lovely cosy getaway - Very easy instructions to access the property. A door code, which prevents you from losing any keys or having to all come back at the same time. All the amenities you could want and more. The fire was lovely and kept us warm. Very clean and well presented. Breakfast was a lovely touch. Close to a pub. The thick walls stop the wifi from working efficiently but it is a cottage so that would be expected and you shouldn't be there for the wi-fi! If you have a big car, you need to take it very slow when manoeuvring around the property as there is a drop down to some sort of brook, however it is well lit at night.
- AnnMarie (10/5): Superb - Amazing property. Owner was so helpful and kind. Really clean with up to date facilities. Plenty of breakfast and store cupboard items. Even chocolates on the pillows. Photos don’t it justice. Great games room for kids and adults and pretty, mature gardens.
- Meggordon24 (9/5): Lovely property for a weekend away with family or friends. - Host's were really lovely and let my family enter the property earlier as it was ready. There was 14 of us over 2 houses and the use of the games room was great as it allowed us to all eat together and have a big communal space. A super well stocked kitchen which made cooking very easy. N/A
- Katherine (9/5): Lovely family home from home. - Loved the games room.
Close to local pub.
Well stocked kitchen.
Decorated for Christmas.
Short walk to Langport.
Lovely owners.
- Yurim (10/5): Super clean and well organised! - It was my second time visit. Super clean and well organised everything!
It’s much comfortable than my home !! haha.
we have such a good memory spending time there. Thank you for having us!!! Nothing at all.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (9/5): Cosy and warm cottage, with good facilities and clean. - Convenient location and breakfast provided. Husband found the low ceilings tricky.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Inga (9/5): lovely cosy cottage - Mary was very communicative and the instructions were very clear. The property was exceptionally clean and well appointed. Great to have the breakfast included and fire wood too. The double bed was cosy (small) and creaky.
- Stephen (10/5): Book here really good - Fantastic place great to visit
- Rob (9/5): Superb - Good location in a quiet village. Breakfast provided for first night was good with plenty of choice of eggs, bread, milk and cereals. Good kitchen space with full oven, utensils and condiments.
- Maree (10/5): Exceptional - everything we needed was supplied, close to town but quiet and peaceful
- Roisín (10/5): Exceptional -
- Omar (10/5): Exceptional - It was lovely ans really I will go back I like everything
- Ruth (10/5): Fantastic property in a lovely location - It was very spacious, beautifully furnished, very well equipped. The hosts were lovely, very accommodating,. The games room was an added bonus which we loved and great bbq with seating area.
Very dog friendly.
Highly recommend Nothing
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (9/5): Cosy, comfortable stay - thanks - Cosy, lots of nice extra touches, apple juice, cider, eggs etc

- Mark (10/5): Exactly what we required, friendly, peaceful and everything catered for.. amazing! - Clean, quite and perfect Remote, everything provided plus more, fresh eggs, chickens outside..
wonderful is the word
- Joanne (10/5): Amazing place - Fantastic place to stay, well equipped with super friendly hosts! We could not have asked for more. We were staying for my partner Jack’s 30th birthday, a group of 13 of us. The games room was the perfect meeting place and had everything you could have wanted for a weekend full of activities - pool table, ping pong and we brought our own board games. We also brought our own pizza oven, smoker and used the BBQ there to cook up a feast. There was enough space, fire wood and tables for us all. There’s a badminton court about a 5 minute walk away and we went on a beautiful walk nearby. The house and cottages are set in a lovely village. The attention to detail was remarkable with luxury linen, towels with bed chocolates, and a welcome food pack. It was clean, cosy and tastefully decorated. Thanks Mary, Sophie and kitties (everyone loved the cats getting involved) - you made Jack’s 30th birthday one to remember! Nothing
- Lisa (10/5): Wonderful relaxing stay and would revisit - Very hospitable -had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The additional games room space was fun and a great bonus. The property although a little off the beaten track actually was a good location to get about and not far from the local amenities which were a short drive away. En suite was a little tight as had to wiggle to have room to close the door.
- Jodie (10/5): Superb accommodation - Loved everything about it. Having to sleep in a top bunk at the age of 53, with my mum sleeping in the bottom bunk at 78. Haven't slept in a bunk bed since I was twelve.
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional - Great little cottage Nothing
- Anne (9/5): Daughters wedding in nearby Curry Rivel, perfect spot for access to wedding venue - Clean and functional Nothing
- Alexander (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (9/5): Fresh, clean with excellent facilities. - Having tea, coffee, milk, breakfast etc left saved having to worry about bringing the basics. The eggs and local cider/perry were lovely! Just a small thing - a cloth in the bathroom to wipe around the sink & bath.
- Tony (10/5): Nice experience l! - Staff are great.
Location is good.
Farm style cottage is great. Be careful for your head! Anyone is higher than 1.8 meter need to aware for their head. I bumped my head 8 times because of my height is 1.9 meter.
- Anonymous (10/5): Wonderful! Couldn’t recommend more. - Beautiful location, very clean, obviously put a lot of effort in to make guests comfortable (eggs, apple juice and cider were complimentary, along with milk, coffee and two baguettes). Beds extremely comfortable, toiletries really lovely. Outdoor table to have breakfast and dinner. Small garden area to enjoy. Really just a perfect stay. We liked everything! Note that there are some steep stairs for those carrying large suitcases, and bedrooms are upstairs (for Withy cottage 1). Not at all a problem for us but something to note for accessibility reasons.
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional - Location. N/A
