Parkování přímo před apartmánem, přístup po cca 10-ti schodech dolů. Protože jsme přijeli až k večeru, bylo třeba zavolat dle instrukcí pro přístupové kódy, ale nakonec vše dopadlo dobře.
• Daniel (8/5): We would definitely come back! - The view from the room spectacular! Very clean rooms, comfortable bed. Landscape, flower, lawn, pool, hot tub very nice. Staff was great. Especially the maintenance guy!! Better air conditioner. Don't mind paying the extra $10 a day if it would cool the whole area. Unfortunately it didn't.
• Juan Antonio (8/5): Quiet place near the beach - I arrived late and the check in was so smooth. The staff are polite and helpful. The place is nice, with a kitchen, living room, bathroom and a comfortable bed. The location is so quiet, near the beach, but there's no any grocery store, you have to drive. There´s no grocery store nearby, the closest is a 6 miles, so you have to plan in advance to buy some food if you arrive late.

• Ivana (10/5): Best place to stay on Big Island :) - Check-in in was very clear even though we were coming after the opening hours. Staff was very nice and helpful. I can say the apartment actually looks better and more spacious than on the photos ! :) Location was great, we wanted to stay in the nature and were surprised we could just walk to the Black sand beach which was absolutely the greatest place. You can spot turtles and seals on the beach. The apartment was clean, very spacious, ours was right on the side from the reception and on the lower floor (so there were stairs), it is fully equipped with all the kitchen supplies (you will get the information to buy everything for cooking, so make sure to follow all the info), there is a washing machine and dryer (laundry detergent available at the reception for 1 USD). Living room area is leading to the terrace with sliding door to the garden which is very nice. Bed is very comfortable, there is AC as well and you can close fully the curtains on the windows. I would like to thank for all the details and information shared with us, everything is available on the table once you open the room. There was an apartment above us and the neighbors were very loud, we could here all their moving. And not something we didnt like, just an advice - when you go to this accommodation and there is a heavy rain, make sure you go there as soon as possible as you can only access it with one road and that may be closed due to floods till morning.

• Maria (8/5): Nice hotel, beautiful place, but not friendly staff - We liked the place and black beach closed to the hotel. The jacuzzi is nice and the view from it to the ocean is absolutely amazing. The staff was not friendly. The gardeners created crazy noise under our balcony. They looked at us and continued their work for at least half an hour. Although they clearly understood that we were having breakfast there and trying to relax… 😵‍💫😕 Later we asked at the reception for 20 minutes additionally to check out and the guy refused. 🤷🏼‍♀️

• MoniaSzy (8/5): For sure better than most places in Volcano - Very big room, great view. I was looking a place to stay during waiting for volcano eruption. Everything was sold out. It is about 40 minutes drive from National Park. It isn't new but fresh enough. For sure better than most places in Volcano which are bad. Really bad. Checking in after hours is ridiculous. Staff is not nice. You must know that rooms are air open - you will hear every talk and noise. Be prepared but still it is a nice place. Nearest town has not much to offer - food.

Rental chairs and umbrella were good. Floors, some utensils, and shower drain could have been cleaner. A couple window screens were loose and let in moths at night. Would be great if there were a little store or restaurant/cafe on the property. Interior could stand to be updated, but is sufficient.

The property is surrounded by land that was intended to be golf courses which never materialized--a little strange, but also interesting. Kitchen lacked basic implements (like a wooden spoon!), so was minimally functional. 30 min drive to any grocery store and an hour to a good one--shop before you come!

Punaluu Black Sand Beach mit Schildkröten fußläufig zu erreichen. Auch der Volcanopark mit dem aktiven Kilaueavulkan ist in 30 min mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Das Personal war äußerst zuvorkommend und überaus freundlich. Es gab nichts zu bemängeln

• Nicole (9/5): Nice placeto use as your base location - Great location with access to black sands beach and within an hour or so to other excursions around the island. Clean rooms with decent kitchen amenities. Pool and hot tub are great, Used grills at pool both nights. Rental of beach/snorkel equipiment is available at the office. Lots of geckos to watch while sitting at patio tables. No glass/ceramic dishes can be used at pool yet the grills and tables to eat are right next to the pools. Please provide plastic plates so families can eat there after they grill. Rooms will have little sugar ants etc, but we're used to that in warm sandy locations. Tips: plan to grab groceries and supplies when out and about as there are not stores closeby. Didn't use the A/C unit, but is is a charge of $10/day. If you close the blinds and open windows later on cross breeze cools rooms down to a decent temp. Don't lock yourself out or there is a fee to get back into the rooms.

There was a knife block, mixing bowls, plates, forks, knives, spoons, basic cooking utensils, a blender and pitcher provided to help you out with cooking. If you’re staying 9 or more days they offer a complimentary cleaning and replenishing of towels, sheets, and coffee grounds halfway through your stay if you select that option during check in. Only salt and pepper for spices, and there were ants that had gotten in through some cracks in the wall by the sliding door that we ended up using the bug repellent on, but otherwise no complains

• Jyi-Jiin (7/5): A decent stay in-between HILO and KONA if you ever need one. - Clean room with well design interior/exterior layout. Ventilation with/wo fan is excellent. My unit is on ground floor with entry and rear view well separated from neighboring units. AC costs extra but is not needed in my opinion. Walking distance to black sand beach. Resort facilities are available but not useful for us. 20-25 minutes of driving to nearby towns for restaurants or groceries. Since I am not using resort facilities, black sand beach and national park are my only reasons of staying.

• Andreas (10/5): Overall a great place to stay, remote from large towns, relaxing atmosphere, hear the ocean - The place is outside of cities and towns, perfect for a relaxing retreat. It has a small pool for quick swim, but it is also very close (walking distance) to a black sand beach (with turtles!) that invites for swimming. The units come with a nice kitchen with all the utensils and tools you need. The units are nicely laid out and come with everything you need. The ocean is close and you can hear it in the night. The check-in was easy after office hours (if you do late check-in, make sure to call them beforehand to get information on how to obtain your key). Definitely worth a stay and great value. Remember that this place is quite remote - make sure to buy food in Kona (or Hilo if coming from the east). There are some local stores about 30 minutes drive away. Note that the kitchen provides salt and pepper but no oil for cooking.

• Vladimir (9/5): Sehr schöne Anlage mit wunderschönem Ausblick auf den Ozean. Der schwarze Sandstrand mit den Schildkröten war unser High - Schöne Wohnung mit einer Mega schönen Aussicht. Schöner Poolbereich. Die Anlage befindet sich unweit von einem schwarzem Sandstrand. Abends kann man immer Schildkröten am Strand beobachten. Sehr schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf den Ozean. Wir warten nur ein Paar Übernachtungen da, für einen längeren Aufenthalt könnte die Wohnung für 4 Personen etwas zu klein sein.

La relación calidad precio comparado con otros hoteles que he estado de la zona, este me parece el mejor. La ubicación está un poco alejada de lugares "turisticos" pero en general es una isla que te hace falta transporte (ofrecen Parking Gratis en la puerta de tu alojamiento) Tiene cerca una playa de arena negra preciosa. Cuenta con piscina y zona de bbq. Todo fue muy bien. Única pega que pondría es que la ducha tiene cortina, algo que no es higiénico y que hacia años que no veía en hoteles de Europa

Access to punaluhulu black sand beach for an easy walk to see the turtles. Staff friendly. It is dated but def neat and tidy and we could have stayed an extra couple of nights. Worth the stop.

• Gary K (8/5): OK Enough for Visit to Black Sands Beach - Near Black Sands Beach. Lanai with obstructed view of water. Quiet location. Staff helpful. Property has a "corprate" feel and everything was as minimimal as possible in a disappointing way (for example beach equipment was not provided but had to rented from office and the size of unit would not be comfortable for a multi-day stay). If air conditiioning is important, arrange for it an advance. A/C unit is locked and unusable without a nonrefunable $10 per night payment. (There are fans in the unit and screens in windows so that was not an issue for us). If you plan on cooking, the only condiments provided were salt and pepper and there are no near by stores or restaurants so come prepared.

• Sara (10/5): - Fantastic! Hidden paradise!!! Our room had a nice view of the ocean! Plenty of parking and very clean rooms. We stayed in one of the one bedroom units and it had plenty of space for our family of 4. Loved having laundry in the unit as well!

• Justyna (10/5): A Slice of Paradise – Perfect Base to Explore Big Island - This is a beautifully located resort with charming cottages, lush greenery, palm trees, a pool, and a jacuzzi for guests. The entire property is immaculately maintained and simply stunning. The apartment has everything you could possibly need – well, maybe except for a kettle ;) It was the perfect base for exploring the entire island. We especially loved how close it was to the Black Sand Beach and Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park. The nearby town has a warm, welcoming vibe and some amazing spots to enjoy delicious local food. That my vacations ended....

• AUDRA M (8/5): - This is our fourth trip to Colony 1 at Sea Mount. We stayed there in order to get to the volcano when it was erupting. It worked out well since the condo is about 30 minutes from the volcano. The unit was well taken care of, the kitchen was nice to have so we could make breakfast, since there is no restaurant on site. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a clothes washer too.

• Cindy Damiana (10/5): - We have stayed at the colony I at sea mountain in pahala twice. We absolutely love this place, the people are veey nice and make you feel at home. I love the privacy and how quite it is. Its also a 5 minute walk to the beach where you can see the green sea trutles.
• Donald (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay! The unit was beautiful, clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway and great staff. The backyard sitting area was a real highlight—grilling steaks on the Weber while watching the waves roll in was such a memorable experience. The only minor downside was that the air conditioning was limited to a portable unit in the bedroom, so it could get a bit warm in the kitchen and living area, especially on more humid days. That said, the bedroom stayed cool for sleeping, and the overall comfort of the space more than made up for it. The location, views, and overall value were fantastic—and the price was very reasonable for everything we got. We’d absolutely love to return if we get the chance!

It was great to have washer/dryer in the room, but service was lacking in that they were the only place we stayed that didn’t provide shampoo/conditioner or washer detergent. They ask you to run the dishwasher but don’t provide dishwasher soap. They did provide hand washing detergent. It was the most expensive place that we stayed.
• Mark (8/5): We were impressed with the grounds and the proximity to Black Sands Beach. - The grounds were very nice. The room was very comfortable and the bed was great. The location was excellent, being close to Black Sands Beach and Volcano N.P. Images on Booking.com suggested that we were closer to the ocean than we were. Also, the greenery around the unit had had been cut reducing privacy. Also, our unit was next to the main road. It was pretty loud.
• Meredith (8/5): Remote location but close to volcanoes - The site was lovely. Our studio condo was adorable and was a good amount of space. Kitchen has enough room and laundry was in bathroom. Relatively close to volcano and we walked easily to the black sand beach. Lovely grounds, friendly staff. Easy after hours check in, if slightly inconvenient. Condos are not near anything. There isn't a true grocery store for miles and by the time we got there from a delayed plane there was nothing open. Restaurants are also few and far between. We found one that was open on a Monday or Tuesday and while excellent was also the only choice open and ended up there twice in the 3 days we were there. While the facilities were nice we felt the extra charges like for air conditioning and shampoo were excessive and made it feel less relaxing. There is a small window to check in (4-5) and while the after hours worked well, not knowing that made us forgo going to the grocery in Kona. Don't make that same mistake since you will not find anything else nearby. Bare minimum was found in the kitchen. Enough for us, but it's always nice to have little extras.

The accommodation called ahead and offered us an ocean view room which was very nice and unexpected treat. It was a very quiet resort with all the things we needed. Nothing it was great!
• Marx (10/5): Excellent and Gorgeous - Such a gem of a place. It is very remote though so you do have to plan where to get groceries and gas but clean remarkable little units. Staff are very friendly and helpful and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again. Although remote, you are right next to black sand beach and close drive to south point, green sand, and volcano national park. The staff alerted us to best viewing of volcanoes if they were active and they were while we were there Not applicable. Loved the place/ property
• Dana (10/5): - It was nice, relaxing place. Nearby black sand beach with turtles was amazing.
• Tracy (6/5): - The grounds around the buildings were well kept but the area near to it which was once a golf course is now defunct with buildings that are falling apart. The access area to the coastline just below the property has remnants of trash and things left behind by people camping there. The beach access at the punaluu is close by and was nice enough. We had wanted a place with an ocean view, the condo we got was next to the road and we could hear cars all day heading to punaluu. There were also people who were staying at colony 1 that chain smoked on a bench within earshot of our bedroom window so had to wear earplugs to sleep because they were smoking well last the quiet hours. For the price we paid for this property it was not worth it to us. We would not recommend it. Also.. they hadn’t swept the condo during cleaning very well. I found pieces of broken glass on the floor and they hadn’t mopped it in who knows how long. Our feet were dirty from walking around the condo with bare feet.

• Torie (9/5): We enjoyed the short walk to the shady black beach with sea turtles. - The Sea Mountain was very comfortable, clean with easy access to black beach with sea turtles. Yeah!

• sherry (2/5): - I didn't like it. No drinking water, had to pay for a noise air conditioner. The upstair started throwing furniture around at 2:30 during our nap!! The office couldn't tell me how much i paid. The couch and chair was to scratchy to sit on without putting a sheet over them
