- Arriane (10/5): 5 Stars No Doubt. Will Come Back. - Very close to the beach, and the staff were very accomodating! They gave welcome drinks and bracelets, they also give you a tote bag per room. Every night, they serve you a good night snack, and if you get tired swimming by afternoon, the hotel also serves FREE 'merienda' of pinoy delicacies every 3-4 pm. There's also a FREE foot massage for the guests, you just have to book it at the reception desk. Our stay here was short, but it was so good. Breakfast was also delicious. More importantly, the staff performs every 5 pm outside, you should watch them!

- pbmcmlxxi (10/5): A lovey stay at Mandarin Island Hotel. - I had a lovely stay here with my partner. The service from the airport to the hotel (and back again) was first class. The welcome we received once we arrived was fantastic. The hotel had staff lined up to welcome us. It was overwhelming in a nice way. Check in was straightforward. The room was ready, very clean and all things worked in the room. The hotel has a live band playing in the restaurant 1830-2300ish each night. The music was nice - although it could be difficult for some who are light sleepers to sleep before it stops - but that is just an advisory, and not something that should stop you booking at this lovely hotel. The buffet breakfast was delicious 😋 There was a selection of Filipino food, and continent food. I particularly enjoyed the fresh pandesal and chomperado, especially the ube chomperado (extremely addictive and delicious 😋). The location of the hotel was right alongside the seafront, you only had to walk a few meters from the hotel to be on the beach. The hotel was near to local restaurants and shops. The whole team work hard, and you can see it's a whole team ethic to make guests feel welcome. I particularly mention the hotels guest experience manager 'Israel' he went above and beyond. Like many of the management he put in lots of hours to make everyone's stay the best. I also highlight the housekeeping team, they help keep the hotel looking pristine. The rooms are cleaned to a good standard. This is also the first time I have seen a team of housekeepers cleaning a room, normally it's one housekeeper to clean a whole room - here where a team goes in, makes a difference imo. With a team they help eachother and check over everything to make sure nothing is missed. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel. The general manager should be rightly proud of every member of his team - and in all the work he does. A team led by good management achieves so much more. I hope the general manager will pass on my thanks to every member of his team. Value - I feel the hotel is good value for money.

You're welcomed by their signature cucumber refreshment and a cool face towel. Rooms have always been clean and cozy (to add, we even got a room upgrade, AGAIN 🥰🫶🏼). The breakfast buffet will always be our favorite since there's a wide selection of food. This is our second time, and surely it won't be our last. We'd like to acknowledge Sir Israel for always being attentive, generous, and genuine. He even recognized us from our last stay. We also got an appreciation gift from him even before our checkout since we were told he would already be off and probably wouldn't be around when we check out today. They were very attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. We were especially touched because when we arrived, they surprised us with a very special greeting for our honeymoon. It was such a thoughtful gesture and it made our stay even more memorable and meaningful for us. Our room had a very nice view and the bed was extremely comfortable, which made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our stay. We also really enjoyed the breakfast , the food was very good and there were great options to choose from. The only concern we had was with the shower, as the drainage seemed to be a bit slow and the water overflowed slightly. However, aside from this small issue, everything else was excellent. Overall, we had a very good experience and we were truly happy staying at Mandarin Island Hotel. Thank you to the amazing crew for making our honeymoon stay so special. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like royalty. Staff met us at the car with umbrella to shield us from the sun. We were given welcome bracelets, refreshing drinks, and hot towel to freshen up. Our Premier Deluxe Room was ready right away. Our room is facing the sea and the pool. I should have requested the room above for better view. Plate of cupcakes waiting in the room. We love how spacious and airy the room with balcony felt. It was spotless, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the decor is giving Tommy Bahama look. So tropical-chic. The bathroom is spacious with walk-in shower and the bath amenities are superb! I don't have to bring anything. Bathrobes and rubber sleepers are provided. There's also a set of umbrellas. Our stay comes with breakfast buffet at Don Vito Restaurant with curated breakfast selection. The food was exceptional and are deliciously prepared not regular Buffet-taste. The best breakfast Buffet I ever had on vacation next to Ayre Hotel in Barcelona. There’s entertainment at the restaurant that plays until 10 or 11pm but it didn’t bother us. Great songs, it keeps me entertained while busy editing & posting on social media. Top-tier service from staff. Attentive, warm, and personable. It's seamless hospitality. I give 10 star!

Everything we needed was also inside the room. The view is also amazing since we got upgraded to premier room. The buffet breakfast was also delicious. We also booked their airport transfer, and it was very seamless everything was already handled.

- pawelt_11 (2/5): Really disappointed with the hotel's handling of unforeseen cancellation. - I have stayed at Mandarin Island Hotel Boracay before and had a positive experience, which is precisely why I chose to return for a very special trip with my mother, who was celebrating her birthday. Unfortunately, my most recent experience with the hotel’s management has left me extremely disappointed. Shortly before our planned arrival, the Philippines began issuing multiple weather advisories regarding an incoming tropical storm and tropical depression. Authorities issued rainfall alerts and warnings about potential flooding and travel disruption. At the same time, airlines warned passengers about possible flight disruptions and recommended postponing travel where possible. There was also significant uncertainty regarding whether boat transfers between Caticlan and Boracay would continue operating. Given the circumstances, and because I was travelling with my 69-year-old mother, I made the responsible decision not to proceed with the journey to Boracay. The risk of becoming stranded on the island just before our international flight home was simply too great. Despite these exceptional circumstances — which were clearly outside the control of any traveller — the hotel showed absolutely no flexibility, empathy, or willingness to consider the situation. My booking was non-refundable, and the hotel strictly enforced that policy without any attempt to offer a compromise, partial refund, credit for a future stay, or even a gesture of goodwill. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I was a returning guest who had previously chosen this hotel and was genuinely looking forward to coming back. Instead of recognising that loyalty, the response from the reservations team felt procedural and indifferent, with no acknowledgement of the real safety concerns involved. In the end, it was Trip.com, not the hotel, that offered a goodwill compensation after reviewing the circumstances. The hotel itself chose to take no responsibility whatsoever. Policies are policies, and I understand that businesses must have them. However, hospitality is also about understanding, judgement, and treating guests fairly when genuinely exceptional situations arise. Unfortunately, none of that was demonstrated here. For that reason, I cannot say that this hotel values its returning guests or is willing to show flexibility when circumstances outside a traveller’s control make a trip impossible. Regrettably, I will not be returning.

The beachfront view was absolutely the Boracay vibe na hinahanap namin ni hubby. Even though it is right in the heart of the long white sand stretch- with all the activities and crowd- we were surprised at how peaceful and comfortable our room was. We slept so well! The setup felt cozy and homey, like a "home away from home" vibe. And.. I already miss the pancake from breakfast! 😁 And.. sarap daw ng tapa! At night, chill moments- enjoying the live band while taking a relaxing dip in the pool. We missed the spa- next time! Daghan jud kaayong salamat for the wonderful experience! Especially fro the free mug set during the PTAA event. Naka-tipid na ng konti, madami pang natanggap na freebies! We definitely felt valued and well taken care of. See you puhon! 🥰

From the airport pick up to getting to the hotel, such flawless transfer. You can feel the hospitality the moment you walk in. Their staff is amazing and wonderful. The rooms are also nice and comfortable. We stayed next to the pool since my daughter loves to swim. The pool is very nice.

Breakfast is ok. They have transfer in-out from the airport for around 40 dollars which makes life way much easier. The staff is amazingly friendly and respectful.

On the first day, I was feeling pretty sick from the traveling and Israel was so kind and made me ginger and peppermint tea. The next day at breakfast, he remembered me and asked if I was okay. The hotel staff is so kind and the service is next level. My family of 4 couples stayed here. The rooms were very clean and beautiful. The bathrooms here are modern. Shower is huge and has a clothesline to hang your clothes. We even had a balcony to get some fresh air which was nice. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful. The hotel even has beach chairs for guests to use that are super comfortable and have umbrellas. Towels are included in your stay. The beach goes very long so you can walk along the beach peacefully. Absolutely loved our stay. I would stay here again. Five stars!!

Mandarin’s extra bed is a comfortable bed, no springs and not wobbly either. We stayed at room 118 & room 120, both rooms are facing the pool and the beach(beach is just a few steps away), they also have lounge chairs at the beach. The staff appears to be happy with the job that they do, they’re quick to respond with requests.

We had a suite which has its own pool overlooking the beach but still feels like very private. The staff are always nice and courteous, very attentive and helpful. The hotel is accessible and beachfront. The noise is bearable considering it's in the heart of Boracay. The overall service staff, location, amenities made our stay worth it. They even surprised us with flowers, cakes, and towel arrangements since we are celebrating birthday, anniversary and valentine's day. The shared spaces are also okay. We will definitely be back and recommend this hotel to others.

In the evening we had our dinner at the restaurant Don Vito and the atmosphere was very lively and while having dinner you were serenaded with the live band which was unforgettable. Even before our arrival, during the reservation process, we had a few concerns and special requests due to traveling with our 9-month-old baby. Miss Andrea from the reservations team was very prompt in responding to our inquiries and extremely helpful, which gave us immediate confidence and peace of mind even before our trip began. We hadn’t had a proper family getaway in a very long time, and the Mandarin Island team truly made our Boracay vacation memorable and special. I booked four rooms for our family of 11, and my family has not stopped praising the choice of resort—it exceeded all our expectations. We had several special requests, as my parents follow a very strict dietary plan, and every single request was accommodated without hesitation. Traveling with a young baby can be challenging, but the level of care shown to us was beyond our expectations. Baby food was provided with our meals, so we didnt need to worry about our baby's meal at all. Whenever we contacted the front desk, they were always prompt in sending a team member to our room for assistance. The responsiveness and efficiency of the team truly stood out. Sir Israel consistently came forward to personally check if everything was going great during our stay, and Sir Marlon, whenever he got the chance, made sure all our needs were catered to with genuine care and professionalism. What stood out the most was how the staff treated us. We were not treated like guests—we were treated like family. Thank you to the entire Mandarin Island team for creating such a wonderful, stress-free, and unforgettable stay. We will forever cherish this experience, will definitely be back, and highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Boracay.
