• Djoko (7/5): Eine Woche im Royal Regantris Cendana in Surabaya - Positiv hervorheben möchte ich das abwechslungsreiche und vielseitige Frühstücksbuffet sowie den freundlichen Service und die Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals. Negativ aufgefallen ist, dass man bei der Buchung keine Möglichkeit hatte, ein Nichtraucherzimmer auszuwählen. Bei der Ankunft erhielten wir ein stark nach Rauch riechendes, zudem sehr abgewohntes Zimmer. Als wir ein Nichtraucherzimmer verlangten, wurde uns ein kostenloses Upgrade in ein Deluxe-Zimmer angeboten. Dieses Zimmer war ein neu renoviertes Zimmer in dem wir uns wohlfühlen konnten. Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt war das Frühstücksbuffet: Die warmen Speisen waren leider jedes Mal kalt

• Zaneta (2/5): 3* hotel? More like a bad motel - Location was great! The reception was 24/7 so it felt secure. Upon my arrival I have checked in and as soon as I have entried the room (504) it was smelling bad. Like noone has opened the window for months! They don't bother with air fresheners or using perfumed cleaning products. On the floor there was loads of long black hair!! So noone moped the floor, it was disgusting. Went to reception and asked for another room which I got. Sadly it was the same situation (room 502) just with less hair!! Tidied up by myself as I didn't want to waste more time or argue. The bin in the room was devastated (viz photo), the toilet paper holder was broken. The mirrors were rusty. The air con was leaking. The hair dryer holder was also falling apart! The mattress on the bed needs replacing as it's very flat and OLD. Would not stau agaim even for free. Gladly stayed only for one night. Avoid!!! There are better hotels in Surabaya for sure!

• Jude (9/5): I will recommend this hotel location and facilities beyond the 3 star hotel - I am really happy about your from office staff and they know how to treat the guest. Definitely my next trip I will book with hotel. The main advantage is from the airport it’s 25 minutes drive and very close to city centre. As per 3’star facility this hotel is having all the basic requirements.
• Irawan.i (7/5): First stay at Hotel Royal Regrantis Cendana - The location of the hotel is close to the largest mall in Surabaya, a distance of about 800 meters on foot. Near the hotel there is a mini market that is open 24 hours, so it is easy to find sudden needs. Around the hotel there are restaurants. Bedroom space is spacious. The bed is quite comfortable. Facilities and equipment in the bedroom are quite complete. Lots of mosquitoes so it's not comfortable to relax on the hotel terrace and restaurant, except indoors. The room atmosphere is gloomy, probably due to the choice of wall color. The tap water in the bathroom is a little clogged and runs small.

• Daxatthemax (5/5): fairly good.. could do better with the stale breakfast more freshness.. - breakfast was fair enough, most of the items on the table were not fresh, especially fruits.. they keep reusing fruits from previous day.. other then that its okay to fulfil your hunger.. I didn't like the bathroom drain... if you had a shower the water would be collected on the floor and not pass the drain as the drain is in a cube like section for showering and water goes out the toilet section and the floor gets flooded.. there is a height difference of the flooring between the shower section and toilet section of an inch, they requested us to change the room but the layout is the same in all rooms so we stuck our old room.. rooms are spacious..

I was given a smoking room because I have requested higher level room but not stating 'non-smoking'. As a result I was welcomed by smokes from a bunch of smoking ladies hanging out at the floor lobby.
• Riva (9/5): Great Hotel, Great Location - Location. It's near Tunjungan Plaza, and around the hotel there's plenty roadside food stall. It's also near to McDonald's, KFC, and much more. The staffs were great and very helpful. Breakfast is good also. Definitely will stay again. Nothing. All is good.

• Pia (6/5): do not understand the good rating - nice location (not to far from the train station). there might be good rooms on the already finished floors our room was on a floor that was still in renovation. that alone wouldn’t be a problem for us ( even though damaged walls made quiet an impression) but we were presented with an old room that was not clean, especially in the bathroom, and also had damaged furniture. After not feeling comfortable in the room and complaining at the front desk they agreed for us to move rooms. the next room shown wasn’t any better than the first one - also having stains on the wall, the mirror and damaged/dirty furniture. we then ended up with a room that were you could see that there has already been done some renovation but it still didn’t seem finished (as there was still the old, damaged carpet floor in it and the final touches just hadn’t been made) . we stayed in that room because our stay was only one night (and half a day) and it was an improvement compared to the other room. the bed was clean in general but the room also heated up really fast whenever the AC wasn’t on (when leaving the room). We were ok for one night but do not understand the great ratings the hotel has on booking.com and were quiet surprised.

Kinda old hotel and building, the carpet, and lack of lighting in 3rd floor, the bulb lamp in the room is yellow so it’s kinda bright and should be turn off before sleep, the room is not soundproof, the lock on the door room is broken
