- Dirk (10/5): Eine Oase der Ruhe und Freundlichkeit mit Dschungel Feeling. - Sehr gefallen hat mir der freundliche Empfang an der Rezeption. Mir wurde mit allem geholfen, was ich auf dem Herzen hatte. Sehr praktisch ist, dass man direkt in der Unterkunft ein Moped günstig mieten kann. Und nicht zu vergessen die absolute Ruhe. Habe das Resort gleich nochmal gebucht. Die Bungalows sind auch tagsüber etwas dunkel, aber dafür hat man echtes Dschungel Feeling.

- Brigitte (8/5): Die abgelegene Lage ist einmal schön. Aber halt sehr abgelegen. Auch zum Strand ist es nicht so einfach zu gelangen. Die - Die sehr ruhige Lage. Fast mitten im Dschungel Unsere Unterkunft war so eingewachsen von Pflanzen, dass kaum Sonnenlicht zu sehen war. Eigentlich war es immer dunkel. Auch tagsüber musste man das Licht anmachen

Obsługa nie za bardzo potrafi posługiwać się językiem angielskim, bardzo słaba organizacja transportu i ceny dużo wyższe od tych z agencji. Poprosiliśmy o zrobienie prania i musieliśmy na nie czekać półtora dnia ponieważ obiekt nie posiada elektrycznych suszarek i ubrania wywieszono do wyschnięcia na dworze, pranie robione w zimnej wodzie. Resort przypisuje sobie 4 gwiazdki, ale do tego statusu mu bardzo daleko, ze względu na powyższe doświadczenia osobiście oceniam pomiędzy 2 - 3 gwiazdki. Nie wrócilibyśmy do tego resortu ponownie.

- Denise (9/5): Endroit parfait pour le calme. - Nous avons beaucoup aimé le côté bungalow dans la jungle, l’ambiance qui y régnait et le restaurant excellent et très bien décoré. La réceptionniste nous a gentiment véhiculé au 7/eleven pour que nous puissions faire quelques achats, le personnel et les patrons sont très sympathique et donnent pleins de conseils pour des visites sur Koh Samui. L’accès à la plage à pied se fait en 10 minutes. La localisation, loin du centre de Chaweng, ça a l’avantage d’être très calme mais pour accéder aux commerces les plus proches ~1km500 (7/eleven, massages..) les accès piétons sont très périlleux car l’axe principal est très fréquenté et dépourvu de trottoirs. Le coté un peu vétuste de notre bungalow et bien que nous n’en avions pas besoin, les télévisions sont obsolète et aucune réception de chaînes n’existait.

Adorable cat that accompanied us during our breakfast time. Our villa was located right next to the entrance, so convenient for us to enter and exit, and also collect our deliveries from Grab and LineMan. While it’s great that this property follows a sustainable approach, it would have been great if laundry instructions were provided on the day we check in. Shower pressure would be nice if it was slightly on the higher side as we did not want to spend too much time bathing on low shower pressure. Do relook into the towels as there were stains, and they gave me a bad itch/rash. Pillows and bed were too soft for our liking. Cable box TV remote was faulty, so we could not use it to watch the TV. A lot of mosquitoes and flies outside our room. Would be nice if a natural insect repellant is placed outside the house to deter.

- Octoberstorm (10/5): A peaceful stay in a lovely garden bungalow with friendly staff and no complaints at all. - I really liked that instead of a regular room I had a bungalow in a beautiful garden full of birds, squirrels, and other animals. It was quiet and peaceful, and the staff were genuinely helpful. Overall, I enjoyed everything about my stay. There was nothing I could complain about. Honestly, I don’t know what to write here because Booking requires three sentences, but there was nothing negative. Everything was fine and it did not affect my stay in any bad way.

- Andre (6/5): Mooi resort maar met niets in de omgeving - Een klein zwembad met daar omheen kleine bungalows en een restaurantje mooi in de groene natuur. Het is een klein resort op een berg maar zonder uitzicht. De bungalows zijn gebouwd in een bamboe look. De kamers, badkamer en de bedden zijn niet groot en ruim. De veranda heeft een eigen hangmat. Wij vonden de locatie tegenvallen. Je moet berg op en af om bij het strand te komen. Ook moet je de drukke vierbaans ringweg oversteken. Het strand is mooi maar er liggen 3 grote resorts aan met hun eigen ligbedden en dure restaurants. Er is verder geen dorpje op loopafstand en dus ook geen restaurantjes, massage, winkeltjes, 7eleven enz. Je moet dus zelf vervoer hebben of met een taxi op pad.

- Ludo V (10/5): Nous recommandons +++ - Très bel hôtel ! Un accueil tellement sympathique et chaleureux ! Ben et sa collègue sont au top. Tout a été fait pour qu'on se sente très à l'aise dès l'arrivée et tout au long de notre semaine. Hôtel composé de quelques logements (9-10 pas plus), donc un côté familial, très agréable et détendu. Chambre très propre, matelas très confortables, belle piscine au centre de l'hôtel. Petit problème avec la climatisation résolu aussitôt dans la journée ! Le restaurant est très beau et délicieux (la meilleure nourriture de nos 3 semaines passées en Thaïlande ! Bien situé à l'EST de l'île entre Lamai et Chaweng. Effectivement seule la plage (très belle d'ailleurs) est accessible à pied à environ 300m de l'autre côté de la grand route. Tout le reste doit se faire en taxi ou location de scooter, voiture car pas de trottoirs le long de la grand route et trop dangereux.

- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant - The pool was beautiful and very clean. The restaurant food was excellent, but they were unwilling to be flexible about the menu when ordering for a 6 year old. The resort was very peaceful and safe. Ploy, on reception, was incredibly kind and attentive. She helped me with any issues and organised for us to change bungalows when there was an issue. She was very willing to make our stay comfortable. The beach over the Rd is beautiful but the road is very dangerous to cross. We had rats/ mice in our bungalow and had to move to a different one. There was one member of staff that was particularly rude and not accomodating. He made us feel as if we were a nuisance, even though we were paying guests. He had a very unfortunate manner that made me feel uncomfortable. The bungalows are a little dated but very clean.

I almost checked out after the first night because it was unbearable. I couldn't leave the doors open because of the smell and I couldn't sit on the verandah.

- kathleen (10/5): - What's not to love about Baan Surkeep!! The gorgeous jungle like garden, beautiful pool,bar and restaurant, the smiling attentive staff,the cleanliness of the facility the delicious food and great music. A slight snafu at check in was handled promptly by the owner which resulted in our getting a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the pool. The only thing I feel I should mention is yes its a 8 minute walk down hill to the beach but then you have to cross a very busy 4 lane road and walk for about 300 meters along the busy road that has no sidewalk, to cut through a fence to the beach, then you have to do it all over again but this time walking up the hill in the heat. So if you have health or mobility issues like I do, its an issue. Plus bring mosquito repellent.

Would not visit the island again due to this very reason. Taxi prices, price of food, delivery drivers holding food hostage till you guarantee a tip. cheap price taxi getting out to places, coming back price triples! Seriously busy road to get anywhere so a little scary with kids would not recommend. It seemed like too tourists for us and not enough places to explore because of taxi prices. Would not return to island.

- Bianca (8/5): Cute, quiet, calm bungalow retreat. - A cute, quiet bungalow hotel around a central pool and restaurant area. Mix of more modern and traditional wooden bungalows. Restaurant food was good. Bed was comfortable.The man working at the front desk was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. You can rent a motorbike from the hotel to explore Samui- just be aware that driving on the island isn't for beginners or those who arent confident as the traffic can be crazy. Bathroom was functional but very basic, could use a cosmetic update. Hotel is located a bit out of the way so be prepared to get taxi in to town if you aren't hiring a bike.

Hard to walk around due to busy road down the hill
- Marius (10/5): Awesome Bungalows, nice and calm - The Bungalows were very comfortable and clean, the restaurant was exceptional tasty (try the Mama Soup!). The staff was extremely friendly und took care of everything if wished. They also talked a lot with us, so it felt more like we were friends rather than guests :) In the first days we had some mosquito problems, even if the staff gave us protection spray. But I don't really know what they could do more about it, maybe a fly screen door or something. Not really a complaint.

Door missing of bedroom furniture, bathroom with broken and missing parts of tiles with no ventilation only a small window. Whole resort needs good power hosing and fresh paint.

- Jan (7/5): Quirky and peaceful hotel tucked away with friendly staff and great food! - Restaurant was lovely with great, freshly prepared food. Staff were friendly and attentive especially Jonny and Juliette. The poolside/restaurant setting was really attractive. The bungalow was a little dark and a little dusty in places. Breakfast was a little basic with limited options. The location meant crossing a very busy road to get to the beach but thats not the hotel’s fault!

- Eunice (5/5): Disappointing! - Actually. the location was not what I had thought it would be,..,even the Manager, Juliette mentioned that when I stepped out of the taxi, she wondered why I was there! The place is old and needs a total revamp...the bungalow, dark and depressing, one always had to have the lights on and the outer patio, very dark...depressing, at least for me! I decided to leave after 6 days( had paid for 15 days non refundable) as was not enjoying the experience and I went to the Chaweng Garden Beach Resort, right in town, on the beach and the room huge, bright and cleaned every day, with pool towels and personal towels changed daily. This move made my stay on Koh Samui so much better......I do not drive a scooter and the island rents them so cheaply, and you would need one to stay at the Baan Sukreep Resort for it is out of town, up a road off the main highway. Taxi service is expensive and if one wanted to go to a decent beach, Chaweng is the best you would have to pay for return 800 bahts..$30 dollars and a little more Canadian...too expensive...I would walk down the road to the main road and thumb a taxi..often had to wait a while. The breakfast was always the same....never a change in the fruit offering or the juice....quite boring! I would not recommend this resort to anyone who could not get around on a scooter and there is little to do there....one would have to get out daily to beach walk or go into town....disapponted but in a way glad that deciding to leave and stay at the Chaweng Garden Beach resort, was the one thing that made my trip to Koh Samui pleasant! Lots of mosquitoes too.....I didn't have an issue at the Chaweng Garden Beach resort with mosquitoes! I believe they need to rewrite their property description.....advising that it is very costly to not have the ability to ride a scooter and be subjected to the over priced taxi prices....there were red trucks that were sometimes available but you had to flag then down on the main highway!
