- Roberto (10/5): TUTTO MOLTO BUONO DAL CIBO ALLO STAF OTTIMA ACCOGLIENZA LO CONSIGLIO - POSIZIONE OTTIMA SIA DAL CENTRO STORICO CHE DAI DIVERTIMENTI
- Marco (4/5): Very basic - It was ok The place is ok but the rooms are old and in need of modernisation.
There is no parking in the property, only outside on street
- Alex (8/5): -
- Posizione perfetta, pulizia e cordialità dello staff.

- Judy (8/5): Our stay was very enjoyable and we were provided with breakfast as well - Centrally located and lovely staff A lot of stairs and no lift was hard work
- Giovanni (7/5): - Buona Mancanza dell'ascensore
Tutto ok
- Marta (10/5): - Ambiente vintage curato e confortevole, soggiorno piacevole
- Agnolon (8/5): - semplice ma completa
- buonfiglio (10/5): -

- maria (10/5): SOGGIORNO RIPOSANTE - LA BUONA POSIZIONE - IL FRESCO DELLA MONTAGNA - LA GENTILEZZA DELLO STAFF E SI MANGIAVA BENISSIMO E VARIO NON C'ERA L'ASCENSORE, TROPPE SCALE, AVREI GRADITO AVERE IL BALCONE IN CAMERA
- Ludovica (8/5): Ottimo soggiorno - Personale estremamente gentile.
Camera spaziosa molto pulita e ben curata.
Camera spaziosa e pulita; personale molto disponibile e attento.
- Mary (9/5): A hotel that gives you a taste of the past. - The rooms were huge, and the bed very comfortable. The furniture was in keeping with the age of the hotel and was beautiful. We ate there, and the food was tasty and plentiful It was right on the outskirts of the town so required a longish walk or a car to get there if not a fit person.
- Michel (7/5): Good -
- Giovanna (5/5): Passable -
- Dominic (8/5): If you need a bed in Scanno then this will be fine - the decor and furnishing, old style but interesting
- Cristian (10/5): Exceptional - Basically everything from the welcome of the Owner to everything.
We were in the back room but the kindness of the owner changed us to a better and great view room.
The excellent of the food in the evening was amazing.
Breakfast very good too.
- Francesca (5/5): Passable -
- Stefano (9/5): Superb -
- thiagoa725 (8/5): Great option in Scanno - This is a small hotel in Scanno. It is beautifully decorated, and the room was verycomfortable and clean. The breakfast didn't have many options, but everything was delicious. The service was outstanding.
- KateFusi (10/5): Epiphany - My first time here - we joined friends. Scanno is a charming village and Hotel Roma - also. Great welcome, service and food. Ideal spot to spend the Epiphany with Bevade paying us a visit. Lovely trip into the mountains - and an arrangement with La Maga del Lago fie lunch. A must to return.
- 841izzyn (2/5): Dreadful....avoid - Stayed here for a night whilst on an Italian road trip. We arrived having come through the mountains on a motorbike in the rain, to find all the doors locked. The side door directs you to the front door which has a sign 'night entrance' only! So we rang the hotel, having stood in the rain for over ten minutes, to be let in by a stroppy housekeeper in fluffy slippers who made it very clear she had been disturbed. The hotel is quite old fashioned but there are some lovely marble floors and other decor. The room was cold but clean, and there was lots of hot water. The bed was very basic and pillows reminiscent of shredded wheat! Don't visit Scanno on a Wednesday, nothing is open and there was only one basic pizza place to get food. We had had a long day and were looking forward to at least a good nights sleep but the church bells rung every half an hour right through the night. Breakfast was extremely disappointing and the owner, who we met the next morning, rude and dismissive. Not recommended.
- mrgrumpyUk (8/5): Enjoyed our stay - My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of August and really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is well sited and easy to find. Our room was spacious and clean and had a great view from the balcony. Breakfast is served in a well appointed dining room, nice coffee, fruit juice, breads and cakes, just a little short on savoury items though. The owner is a very pleasant and helpful lady. We didn't have any evening meals here, there are some lovely places to eat in Scanno, about 5 mins walk from the hotel.
Would stay here again if we return to this area.
- yurie (10/5): - Tutto perfetto.
- Ermarwen (10/5): Relaxing hotel to use as a base - The Hotel Roma is located before you reach the Scanno town center. As you approach Scanno on SS479, the hotel with its reddish- orange facade can easily be spotted on your right on Valle della Pineta. As you go inside the hotel, it does feel like you are entering someone’s tastefully decorated home with beautiful artwork, marble floors. The hotel is very well-maintained and very clean. If you want peace and quiet and the chance to really relax, this is the hotel. You get this plus the easy accessibility of being about a 5 minute walk away from the town center.
The owner of the hotel, Signora Costanza, speaks English and is quite delightful and informative. She also used to run a restaurant in Rome and this hotel has a great restaurant which offers a variety of delicious dishes. We had intended to stay in Sulmona but a friend suggested we stay instead in Scanno and sign up for cooking classes, for a different experience of Italy. Thankfully, we took her up on her suggestion. You have a choice of which meal to prepare and we picked dinner. We did learn a lot from their very patient chef, Michael. The lessons/food prep took 2 hours and what we made, we were able to enjoy for dinner.
We got a room with a view of the street leading to the city center and the front entrance. The room was cleaned everyday and since the hotel was doing their part for the environment, they left it to the guest to let them know if they wanted their towels changed. They offer free wi-fi and the strength of the connection depended on the device one was using. I noticed that with an iPad or an iPhone, I could easily connect in my room but I had also brought a Mac whose antenna signal wasn’t as strong and I discovered, I had to go to the reception area to get a good connection.
Parking is easy on the street outside of the hotel.
Breakfast offers several choices: cereal, yogurt, a variety of meats, cheeses and breads, homemade sweets, fruits, juices, coffee and tea.
Its location is perfect if you want to explore some surrounding towns close to Scanno like Sulmona, Villalago. There is a beautiful lake at the foot of the gorgeous Majella mountains which lends itself to several activities: you can rent a boat, go swimming, go hiking or biking and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
