- Teresa (8/5): - We choose to stay at this property as it gave us an overview of a working farm in Oudtshoorn. We stayed in a two bedroom modular home which was extremely quiet and nestled along the river. We did not have dinner there but did have breakfast. It was very good with a lot of options both cold and hot.
- Louise (8/5): Surprise gem - The location and grounds were stunning and incredibly well kept. The children had lots of green space to play and explore and be up close with the animals. Our deck was expansive which made for lovely evenings watching the sun go down behind the hills and the sky change colour. The beds were incredibly comfortable which was a pleasant surprise as we have bad backs and often struggle to sleep while travelling. While the decor was an older fashioned style, everything was in pristine condition and the cleaning staff were lovely.
- Shaun (10/5): Working.Ostrich Farm glamping - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at old Mill. We were in one of the tents which have air conditioning, which was nice since it was a little warm and it was on the river driving by the other places I think we made the right choice. Dinner was fantastic My only complaint is they say it’s working ostrich farm so I was really looking forward to seeing and interacting with ostriches. They had four that you could feed mind you. They bite a little lol and 20 or so as you leave. Besides that great place

- Michael (10/5): Perfect venue to unwind - Old Mill Lodge was perfect for our purpose, serene, relaxing in a beautiful setting perfectly maintained by passionate and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and ambience of the venue. Felt very and slept like baby every, which I seldom do.

Missing amenities: Game Room, Kids Club, Coffee Shop, Arcade, Lazy River, Mountain Biking, Supervized Children's Activities, Soundproofed Rooms, and the Zipline was broken. Additionally, spelunking and rock climbing are available in the area, but not at the property.

- Stephanie (6/5): Wonderful staff and grounds. Need new beds. - Loved the convenience of pulling our car right to our room. The staff and the grounds are wonderful. The bed was probably the worst ever. We put anything we could underneath us for some padding. It was like cardboard. The restaurant is lovely. Our room was a luxury waterfront room. It was perfectly adequate I’d call it rustic, not luxury.
- WM (10/5): Great place to stay - We loved our room overlooking the dam. The decor was modern and the room attractive and clean. The restaurant was also excellent and the site convenient to all the attractions we wished to visit including Cango caves. We would definitely choose to stay there again

- Jerome (10/5): Bruiners Family vacation in Oudshoorn - It was amazing. The management and staff are very friendly and helpful. Very clean units and comfortable. Great breakfast. Awesome entertainment for the children, including animals on the premises. Highly recommended. We will definitely visit this place soon.

- Colin (10/5): Our stay at Old Mill - This is a great value place to stay. It is slightly out of Oudtshoorn but on the way to Cango Caves and Swartberg Pass. Our room was very nice being a cabin overlooking the small dam. Breakfast was great with several traditional SA foods available, which made it more interesting.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ruhige Lodge ausserhalb von Oudtshoorn - Sehr netter Empfang und freundliches Personal. Die gebuchte Unterkunft (Waterfront Cottage 1 honeymoon bath) am Wasser ist mittlerweile alt und nicht mehr auf dem neusten Niveau. Eine Duschw fehlt leider, es gibt nur eine Badewanne. Die Betten sind klein und die Matratze doch schon ziemlich durchgelegen. Die Lodge legit etwas abseits der Strasse und ist daher sehr ruhig. Gutes Frühstück und ein gutes Abendessen im Restaurant der Lodge rundeten unseren Aufenthalt ab.

- Anke (8/5): Komfortabel, schön gelegen am Fluss - Tolle Location, am Fluss, mit tollem Restaurant. Ein gutes Stück außerhalb von Oudtshoorn, sehr schöne Umgebung. Durch massive Regenfälle in den Vortagen unseres Aufenthaltes war das Wasser in Dusche, Toilette und Waschbecken braun und nicht benutzbar, Zähneputzen mit Wasser aus einem Kanister, Körperpflege quasi nicht möglich, auch wenn das Hotel dafür nichts kann, war es eine sehr große Einschränkung. Das Restaurant hat am Abend aber für vieles entschädigt, man sitzt auf der Terrasse direkt am Fluss und genießt ein herrliches Abendessen mit südafrikanischen Spezialitäten!

The staff in the restaurant were lovely and the food was delicious. For what we needed (somewhere to sleep after exploring the area) it was great

Great location with amazing scenery and bags of room and facilities to keep your kids amused and out of the way of other guests looking for a more peaceful visit! The staff are welcoming and incredibly accommodating without being intrusive, and the food at both the restaurant and the daily breakfast is delicious. In short, I cannot recommend The Old Mill enough and we cannot wait till our next visit.

- Natalie Eadie (8/5): Great Location - The lodge is located between the Cango Wildlife Sanctuary and the Cango Caves, the room we stayed in was large and spacious and the breakfast was delicious. We did not really see very much of the establishment as it was incredibly cold and we had not packed the appropriate clothes. But the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and there were extra blankets that kept us snug. I would stay there again.

They had faith that we had booked and treated us accordingly...that is the beauty of South Africa...hospitality!

- Verified traveler (6/5): Budget accommodation. Room for improvement. - This is budget accommodation so you shouldn't expect too much. Having said that, room cleanliness could have been much better. Overall the place was clean but the floor was very dusty. Fridge freezer was full of water as it had been defrosted but not drained. Restaurant is below average, although breakfast was quite adequate. Location and setting are lovely - very tranquil: gardens are beautifully maintained. The owner acknowledged that the main pool needed attention but water quality in both pools was poor and required attention. Had the pools been better maintained and room floor clean, we might have given the hotel an overall rating of 4 for value for money.
- Marj (10/5): - A beautiful place to stay. Only sorry we didn't have more time to stay longer. Restaurant was lovely. My son loved the ostrich sausages for breakfast...said they were the best sausage he had tasted in SA.
