• Debora (10/5): - This property is one of the nicest I have ever stayed at. The property is beautiful, spacious, well-maintained, and had a lovely view. The room we stayed in was actually a full suite with living room, full kitchen, large bedroom and huge bathroom with soaking tub and shower. The staff went way above and beyond to make our stay perfect, including arranging our dinner. Breakfast the next morning was gourmet and delicious. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a special stay.

Let me start by talking about Debbie—she made our stay incredibly pleasant, safe, entertaining, and refreshing. We encountered some issues with our transport services, but Debbie stepped in, sorted everything out, and even offered us a complimentary ride. I reached out to Debbie to arrange a birthday and Valentine’s surprise, and let me tell you—she over delivered! She and her wonderful team, Lucia and Nariea, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety. Debbie made it a priority to check in with us every single day. Chocolate Box Guesthouse was far better than we had imagined. From the complimentary breakfast with giant muffins to the free still and sparkling water, high-speed WiFi, laundry services, so many books to read, walk in closet, spacious shower & a slick tub, a beautiful swimming pool, and well-ventilated spaces, AC, the incredible view—it was truly an exceptional experience. If you’re planning to stay at Chocolate Box Guesthouse, let me emphasize this—I cannot stress it enough... Make sure you book the King Protea Presidential Suite! Thank God we did—you won’t regret it! They even have cooking facilities and a DVD library should you want a night in. We just loved it here, the hospitality is incredible and breakfast out of this world! • Ian (10/5): Great location, great hotel, great staff - We spent four nights at the Chocolate Box after Two Oceans and was pleasantly surprised at the proximity to the Helderberg and its wine farms and restaurants. The staff were super friendly and treated us like family. The views and sunsets were to die for and the rooms large, well maintained and very comfortable.
• Camilla (10/5): Chocolate delight - Olaf and his team are fantastic, so welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local area. The breakfast offers juices, coffees and teas, cheese and bread selection, cereal, and a menu for eggs and other hot items. The location is great, with an amazing view of the bay, and fantastic as a base for exploring along the coast road in either direction. Olaf suggested some amazing restaurants and vineyards to visit. I'll definitely be staying there next time I visit South Africa! Much more welcoming than a hotel but with all the same facilities.
• Dr Pratim (10/5): What a gem! - What a fantastic experience. Olaf and Bernadette were fascinatingly helpful. The room opens into the the gardens and the view of the mountains and the bay. The custom breakfast was spectacular and sumptuous, with a side of fresh local fruits. Olaf got us a fabulous degustation reservation at Waterkloolf. In short, the area, the cuisine, the hospitality were all top-notch.

Accommodation was elegantly contemporary yet calm and comfortable. Breakfast particularly good. Bernadette , Brad and Olaf work hard to ensure you have the best possible experience as their guests. No hesitation in recommending.

• dawn lynn (10/5): Beautiful views - Stayed our last night in Cape Town. This place is beautiful, clean and updated with a cute modern feel. The owners were beyond welcoming, perfect.. close to many places to eat and watch sunset. It was to windy to enjoy the pool and the balcony.. we left early to catch our flight home, so we missed out on breakfast, but we were left some yummy fresh fruit and yougart..a real nice surprise. The homemade truffles were delicious, as well as the candy bowls.. Super happy with stay, thanks guys.. highly recommended..

Gorgeous decor throughout the property, extremely comfortable and stylish rooms, superb hosts, amazing views and generally a product you would expect from a high end boutique hotel! You won't need lunch after their breakfast either!
