- Victoria (6/5): Unkompliziert.

- DCC (8/5): Maggie Weekend. S22 - Short walk to Alma Bay. It is one of the nicest anywhere in the world.
Rooms are close to Arcadia Hotel with very good amenities, even for children and food. Very friendly atmosphere.
Public transport very close. There was nothing for us to dislike.
- Julianne (8/5): - The view. Easy check in and check out. Not enough toilet paper. Not enough champagne or wine glasses. Toaster needs replacing. Handles are noisy on doors. Curtain needs fixing.

- Jarrad (7/5): Good way to spend anniversary - It was a great location. Close to the beach and bus stop The bed was uncomfortable
- Leftwich (10/5): My family loved it - Loved everything about big family room with balcony view straight out to the ocean and pool There wasn’t anything not to like
- Latisha (4/5): Love the location and the pool but the rooms need some attention - Love the location and the pool The room smelt mouldy and especially the aircon smelt bad but needed to stay on because of the heat.
There was a drain just outside the shower that the grate was sticking up and I kicked and cut my toe because you don’t expect it to be up
- Lara (7/5): Good time - The location was great for us, and so was the pool access.
It was great to have a kettle and microwave too! The queen bed frame was damaged leading to the mattress sagging, we did not sleep well.
- Edervan (7/5): I loved that we requested a late check-out and they told us we could hang out in the room all day without needing to pay - Amazing pool area, beachfront and facilities were really nice - all day coffee and food available Lack of staff to help when needed, although I understand it might be due to shortage or working holiday holders
- Chantelle (7/5): I will definitely go back again, but hopefully things can be a little cleaner next time - The property was in the perfect location, and with the pool made it so good On arrival, dinner plates on the shelves were dirty and not clean, the shower had some mould marks on it, and the shower leaked water which saturated our dirty clothes, the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up why in use. I didn’t get all photos

- Kathryn (7/5): Good value for money for a family stay. - Everything you need for a family stay. Beds were comfy and room was clean. Conveniently located close to the bus stop, and across the road from the beach. Both pools were great. Food at the hotel was awesome. Hotel was a little run down, but priced accordingly.
- Ali (8/5): Great location on beautiful Maggie - next to the best beach, bus route and pub. - Location was amazing Nothing - it was clean and just what we needed. Nothing too flash, but suited needs.
- Xyloma (8/5): -
- Kylie (8/5): Family Getaway - Location was perfect, motel pool is lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. We scored an early check in and they held our bags after check in which was really appreciated. Bed wasn't the greatest and there were only 2 seats on the patio and there were 3 of us staying.
- Joy Solomano (7/5): - Motel was in good location, close to bus and beach Hotel needs a little TLC, hinges were broken in bathroom cupboard, tiles need replacing.

- Tanya (1/5): -
- rebeccah (5/5): Wouldnt stay again unfortunately - The location is great and convenient. The rooms were not very clean at all. We had a footprint on our sheets on the bed, the hand towel in the bathroom was dirty looked like it had been reused, cobwebs and dust. Couldn’t pull curtains all the way across the metal on them were falling off. No water in the fridge or milk for coffee never been to a motel that doesn’t provide these things. The beds are extremely uncomfortable.
- Jocelyn (10/5): Best island setting lo - Beautiful view of the ocean, so close to Alma Bay, transport and excellent food at the hotel next door.
Great patio for sharing with family members Really needs new and more pillows and some way of contacting the management. We were there over New Year and people in next unit kept everyone awake till 4am and we had no way of getting in touch with management
- Ricardo (10/5): - Location and the rooms All the night birds
- Sarah (8/5): Good choice with very good restaurant next door - I returned after a visit about a month ago, so obviously liked it very much! Please see my earlier review. Just want to add that the food at Arcadia Village Hotel next door was every bit as good as last time. The room could do with sprucing up a bit.
- Jodi (2/5): -
- Fellows (5/5): -
- Tatiana (10/5): - Everything! All staff were extremely polite and friendly

Decided to head over to Magnetic Island on Friday evening and thought we’d try to stay at this establishment again, having had no issues in the past. First challenge: attempting to contact them. Apparently answering the phone requires Olympic-level effort, so after multiple failed attempts we booked online… which also failed. Off to a great start.
Upon arrival, instead of a welcome, we were treated to a lecture by the owner/manager/whatever title he prefers. He made it very clear that this is a *family business* and that answering phones outside business hours is simply beneath them. The attitude alone was enough to make us feel like we’d committed a crime by trying to give them money.
After that warm reception, he graciously allowed us a room key so we could drop our bags and go for a swim. When we entered the room, we were greeted by an unmistakable stench. Thinking fresh air might help, we opened the doors and left for the beach.
Shockingly, the smell was still there when we returned. We mentioned it to a cleaner nearby, who passed the message on. About half an hour later, the manager knocked, announced he couldn’t smell anything, and informed us that if we could be out in 20 minutes, he “wouldn’t charge us.” How generous.
All four of us apparently imagined the smell, because according to him, if he can’t smell it, it doesn’t exist. No attempt to fix the issue, no apology—just the door shutting behind him.
We’ve stayed here before without issue, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Thankfully, we found alternate accommodation where we were actually welcomed like paying guests.
Would not recommend this place to anyone—unless you enjoy poor standards, hostile management, and being treated like an inconvenience rather than a customer.

- Chanelle (5/5): - Location was good for bus stops, pool was beautiful looks and temperature wise, view of the beach across the rd. Bed moved easily a lot and not comfortable, there was a spider in the corner of the shower with other dead insects, fridge wasn’t getting cold enough, towel rack was broken
- Amira (10/5): -
- Warrick (7/5): -
- Guest (10/5): Had an awesome time. The pool was lovely. Staff were excellent - Great location and great staff! The individual mattresses that were made as one bed
- Samantha (3/5): Do not recommend - Close to the beach The room was dirty, sand, dust, mould on skirting boards floors roof doors. The dishes weren't even in a cupboard. The sheets were dirty. For the price I would of expected at least a clean room
- Luke (8/5): Great play to stay, will return!! - Great location. Will definitely return Not much. Was well worth the $
- Pam (7/5): Enjoyed the access to beach and food at hotel was great. - Location was excellent More appliances in the room eg toaster, frying pan perhaps.
- Pelaez (6/5): Ok - Location and late check out Old and flat pillows
- Sarah (8/5): Had a great time! - Arcadia Motel ticked a lot of boxes: it wasn't far from the ferry terminal (having said that, we were on an island, so nowhere was that far from the terminal!); the pool was very nice and we had it to ourselves, being low season; we were happy with our room; the motel was just a short stroll to Geoffrey Bay to admire the rock wallabies AND the sunset each evening; there was a very good restaurant at the adjacent Aracia Village Hotel, meaning we didn't have to drive anywhere for dinner; and the staff were very nice – we had a lovely welcome at reception. Nothing!
- Kahlie (10/5): Perfect for a weekend getaway - The manager is super friendly and accommodating and the pool is delish. Being so close to the pub and beach is super convenient with the bus stop a short walk also The pillows - please put some good pillows in but seriously that is the only negative and we could still sleep
- Wurf (10/5): Smile a little - Awesome location for an ex-local, room was great, Geoffrey Bay across the road. Nothing
- David (6/5): Awesome location but rubbish service - A beautiful location with little around it. Relaxation is enforced. No sign of a member of staff at any time. I didn’t know how to check it but eventually found my key in a letterbox. Not dirty but certainly not spotless.
- Ronald (6/5): Ok for the price - Great location ! Lovely pool area. Great shower head pressure. The property needs to have a tidy up outside , piles of palm frongs in the gardens, boxed furniture in walk ways , under stair wells full on leaves and furniture, discarded hot water system in the garden
- Monique (10/5): -
- E (6/5): On arrival we were underwhelmed by the room but we did have a great stay and slept really well. - The location was great, easy access to bus around the island. Situated on two lovely bays. Next door to best bistro serving food all day. The shower was amazing. Property tired and very basic, however situation with view of the bay lovely.
- Tamer (10/5): - The team the location the beautiful Aussie spirit ❤️ Room service would be cool to have
- David (8/5): -
- Patrick (8/5): - Everything
- Cahill (7/5): - The unit was clean The TV was not working.
- Kym (3/5): If the issues above were addressed, the stay would have been acceptable. - Liked that you could walk to 2 bays for swimming. Also the pub was next door for meals. The room was not clean enough. Had dust in tea, sugar container. No coffee satchets supplied. Cobwebs in corners and behind bathroom door. Broken chair on patio. No lounge chairs in room, even though the room next door did.
- Guest (7/5): Location was great, manager/reception was great. Late check out a bonus - Location, late check out, air conditioning was great, room clean and tidy with fresh towels Room a little tired…curtain needs adjusting, balcony chairs need replacing
- Aurore (8/5): Bon plan pour optimiser vos visites et être en face de deux magnifiques plages - L’emplacement, la vue des chambres Qq petits travaux et cela devient la pépite de l’île …
- Barbara (7/5): We were on the Island to go to the Stagedoor Restaurant - Every thing was close by. Needs some repairs, as usual we were not able to use the pool as not suitable if you have any movement problems getting in and out.

- Lani (8/5): Beautiful location, welcoming and accommodations staff, great value for money. - Beautiful location and spacious room. There were a few maintenance and structural things, ie door knob falling off and the shower was exceptionally low.
