The location is fantastic — peaceful, beautifully situated, and a perfect base to explore the area while still feeling like a proper retreat. What truly made the difference, though, was the hospitality. Lou and Aiden are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely caring hosts. You instantly feel welcome — not like a booking, but like a guest they’re truly happy to have. Breakfast deserves a special mention: lovingly prepared, high quality, and simply delicious — exactly the kind of start to the day you hope for while traveling. And then there are the “resident managers”: Darcie the dog (adorable and full of charm) and Vivienne the cat (equally sweet). Their little daily presence made the whole place feel even more homey and special. If you’re coming to Motueka, don’t overthink it — stay here. We’d happily return anytime. Nothing

Also for somewhere saying luxury and 5star there were no little touches like a bottle of wine ( it said it was a working vinyard!) ive stayed in places for a lot less who have done way more

I loved all the wildlife, the birds, the rabbits that you can see everywhere surrounding the property. Absolutely beautiful. nothing. Perfect.

Great disappointment! We were offered another room 400m higher up. The view was much better and there was a great pool. BUT the room was average, isolated, the bed a small queen compared to the Waters. They charged same price.

Colin (9/5): Superb - Due to a confusion over our booking we were moved to a substantial and beautifully equipped apartment with the most wonderful views towards the sea and over the olive grove. Owners went out of their way to overcome the booking problem. They have two delightful children. Nothing.

He was able to book an activity for us after hours for the next day which was amazing. He also offered a charcuterie board and wine dinner to end our busy day! Britt (10/5): The perfect getaway with amazing views. - I didn’t want to leave! This place is a hidden gem and one K.D. the best places I’ve ever stayed. The room was everything I could have needed with an incredibly comfortable bed. The breakfast was great and so convenient to have it in your room the night before so you could eat whenever worked for you the next day. And the views...they can’t be beat. The sunrise over the ocean is just outside your door and the haze from the sunset over the mountains in the distance at your back door. Such a beautiful and relaxing space and the woman who runs it is a great wealth of knowledge about the area. I will be back....and hoping sooner than later.

Could be ideal, but: came Into a room that smelled from smoke (turn to be burning wood in the area), The place would greatly benefit from a-heating (the heating system blows air directly at the head of the bad but is not sufficient to hold the temperature); b-clean new towels; bathroom rugs, (the floor was freezing). The lady owner was extremely helpful and nice.
