Guest Reviews
- Curiosity36936764488 (8/5): Spacious rooms and great location - The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern. The food isn’t exceptional, but it’s decent, with few choices. The pool is small and not very sunny. The hotel is facing the sea, with a pleasant promenade to walk along. The staff are friendly. Overall, a nice stay
- Jerusalem155 (2/5): Stay away - The hotel staff has a very negative attitude and a negative service attitude. The hotel is ill-maintained, and the breakfast is poor. Requests from the staff are either ignored or carried out with a sour face. Very unpleasant.
- yishaip2025 (10/5): Nice summer vacation - We had a family summer vacation. The hotel is Nice and comfortable, very good service, staff is welcoming. Great beach near by.
- Beth (10/5): - Great place to stay when playing hockey in Ashdod
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I felt like this place is over priced for what you are getting.
I travel around the world and visited different hotels . This one is ok .
- Anthony (10/5): - Visiting here as a foreigner, they made everything incredibly easy from check in to check out. I expected some issues with language barriers and cultural differences, but the staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make my stay amazing.
- Jacobo (8/5): - Good location, great view
Super Service-Danke Shani !
- Ariel (4/5): - Doesn't deserve the money . We didn't have place to order a shabbat diner. And its not clean . Also my mom slipped at the bath .
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wow. We'll be back - Marvelous, everything
In front if the ocean ckean friendly staff . Great and affordable. Plus they have an indoor garage free. Pool a bit small but overall perfect
- hankn (10/5): Great place to vacation - Rooms are spacious with a sliding door separating bedroom and living room/kitchenette area. Microwave, mini-fridge, counter top.
Sabbath observers: mechanical keys, shabbat elevator. Only Friday night meal. No lunch so you need to arrange your own. Pool on 3rd floor is smallish for the size of the hotel
- menashy (10/5): - The hotel is fabulously situated directly opposite the beach with a charming Indian Restaurant also a one minute walk away. The hotel has arelaxing ambiance and the Manager (Rony) is just most helpful and welcoming Manager I have ever met.
- Jules (10/5): - Very pleasant experience. Great access to the beach.
- Louis (10/5): - Perfect place to stay in Ashdod
- Isaac (8/5): - All was great but the fact that the didn’t fix the bed every day . No idea why.
I was at room 408
- Vladimir (8/5): - Liked it
- yaelik73 (10/5): Wonderfull location, great staff! - The hotel is situated right across from the beach. Spacious and clean rooms with a big balcony.
The front desk staff was wonderful though lacked a bit of knowledge regarding nearby restaurants.
Will definetely come back
- kirill (8/5): - Nice local hotel but little outdated rooms and not level of 4 stars. Overall not bad for stay, nice sea view.
- Safari60572249164 (10/5): Excellent - Recommend the hotel. The view from our corner room was gorgeous-we faced the sunset. I would definitely return to this hotel. However, the restaurant disappointed us -it markets itself as a Greek restaurant, yet the restaurant is strictly kosher-which means no sea food.
- 149davids (6/5): Comfortable but way overpriced - We stayed one night at this suites hotel in Ashdod, during the week of the Mediterranean Festival, held in the city in mid-June. It is an all-suite hotel, meaning that every room is a "suite", comprising of two small rooms, a bedroom, and a living room with a kitchenette. We were on a bed & breakfast basis, and breakfast proved to be rather modest, served in a pavilion facing the main street. Overall the hotel is comfortable, and its location is not too far from the city's center, however, similar hotels and similar amenities are offered at considerably lower rates, as we have paid no less than INS 1190.- ( $330) just for the pleasure of sleeping one night there. The check-in procedure was friendly and efficient, and free covered parking is part of the deal. Had it been half-priced, you could call it a good value for money- but for what we had paid, it certainly was not.
- Naomi (10/5): - Very quiet and clean boutique hotel. Modern up to date design but not too fancy. Bery accomodating. Highly recommended for a nice relaxing and chilled tourist hotel.
- HELEN2349 (10/5): Good hotel if you like Ashdod - Check-in was easy and helped by Reoi, the reception manageress. The rooms are beautiful, well designed and clean.
Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, the coffee machine wasn't working well and had to be repaired by one of the workers.
- 982guye (10/5): West Ashdod - Very good! - Nice and cozy, on the beach line, only suits - big with 2 rooms, great food, parking lot, nice atmosphere, great staff and hosting.
Not for long stays - hotel is not big, but cozy and warm, great for couples.
- eran (4/5): - Old and uncomfortable furniture.
Worst shower
- rikb979 (8/5): Business Stay december 2020 - Bathroom in our room needs small renovations
Breakfast room is not in balance with rest of the hotel. Needs urgent upgrade .. food at breakfast is more than good so its a pity that is served in “need to be refurbished” atmosphere.
Staff in hotel is friendly and correct!
- B5388IZ_ (8/5): Overall, Good hotel. - Clean hotel,comfortable bed.
Little noisy,we could hear the elevator bell from the hall and pigeons from the outside.
We celebrate our anniversary and they sent us fruits and chocolates to our room.it was very nice.
- Les (8/5): Lovely place in Ashdod by the sea - All staff were terrific. Reception desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff was very thorough. Unit was spacious and we used large and well situated balcony with partial sea view quite a bit. It would have been wonderful for the kitchen to have had a stove and to have a few pots/pan, but decent size refrigerator, functional microwave and electric kettle enabled basic meals in the room when desired or necessary.
- xxxLindanavot (8/5): A very pleasant stay - We visited west hotel Ashdod in November 2022. We cane for the weekend and had a very goodtime there . The room was very big with a large veranda facing the sea . The meals were excellent and very tasty and most important of all the excellent treatment of the sfaff starting with Ariel the shift manager and all the other members of the staff. There is a very good atmosphere which contributes to the success of the stay .We thank them for it .
- Verified traveler (2/5): happy but angry - was not able to sleep at all. coz my neighbour was making a lot of noise, I called the front desk to complain, and than it became quiet for like 10 15 mints, and than continued with such loud music at 4 in middle the night. in the morning like 7:30 it started again, we called the front desk, but it kept tor another 10 min.
so the whole stay was a big disaster.
besides the fact my freezer did not work.
but besides the fact I am able to understand people that will come a different night that they might enjoy it.
- 895vadimb (10/5): Good hotel - Big and comfortable room.
Good location very close to the beach and to many restaurants and cafes.
Very good breakfast at the hotel.
The stuff helpful and nice.
The swimming pool is open only until end of october so we did not use it.
- Stewart (10/5): - Staff very friendly and helpful and immaculate kept rooms with a lovely view of the beach
- elsbegil (2/5): Bad service and dirty - The service was terrible !
When we got to the room there where open water bottles the room was dirty, one of the beds was not ready fir us when we entered.
I wouldn’t recommend to anyone we didn’t enjoy at all the service doesn’t justify the price!
- Isaac (4/5): - Nothing
- Sarah (10/5): - Nothing unique about it. I found the breakfast to be expensive. Staff was nice. But I wouldn’t say it’s amazing.
- HaleyAuer (6/5): Not 4 stars hotel standards. Expensive. - Verify/check that you are not charged VAT and that final charge/bill is correct ( applicable to all hotels).
If you want experience of israeli/middle eastern outdoor market/ bazaar/shuk, there is Shuk(market) Ashdod every Wednesday by hotel.
Enjoy and have fun in Israel.
- MichaelBond7 (6/5): Good hotel. - Quality of service, amenities, facilities, cleanliness of West Ashdod are regular/average for israeli hotels standards and comparable to 2.5-3 stars hotel by USA classification. Price $310 per night with breakfast for 3 people in regular room is expensive for what you get.
PROS: Nice beach right across the street, good israeli/mediterranean breakfast . Rooms have nice ocean view. Supermarket and restaurants within walking distance.
CONS: Restaurant open for breakfast only. Very small basic dusty fitness room/gym that have space for up to 3 people at a time. Small outdoor pool was closed. There was only one TV channel in English (news) in the room. One evening there was no available spot in hotels parking and we had to park outside the hotel.
- Suku (10/5): - Everything was excellent. Clean, comfortable,friendly staff,nice breakfast. Good location,free parking.
I’m sure I will come again and I’ll recommend this hotel for friends and family. Thank you
- SarKru (8/5): great location, good hotel - Hotel is good, not great. Location is wonderful, right across the street from the beach.
We booked the largest suite and it was very spacious for 2 adults and 1 child. The balcony was very large and had a fabulous ocean view.
Breakfast was OK, nothing special.
The pool area is very cold and was not pleasant.
Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much.
- H4258BPadamb (6/5): Clean rooms. - Staying 3 weeks. Exceptionally clean rooms. But the Lobby and restaurant staff in early mornings or evenings don't have much enthusiasm (often lounging on porch or playing on cell phones). But the person who I THINK is the manager I met once seems to genuinely want to help resolve issues...and there may be a few.
Don't be the first person to fill your orange juice glass off the tap at the breakfast bar, unless you need some protein in the form of a wad of fruit flies. But overall the breakfast bar has a wide selection of fresh fruit and veggies, baked goods and a daily entrée.
The in-room Kitchenettes have no napkins, plates or even plastic silverware, so bring some with you or buy at the store next door.
A bucket of ice delivered to your room costs 70 shekels, so just go down to the lobby bar and ask for a bucket and have them fill it up.
A walk across the street puts you on a long stretch of public beach with a few restaurants. A popular venue for wedding parties, so usually a photo session in the lobby every night after work.
Would I stay there again? Probably. Very similar to most hotels in the region.
- Chris (10/5): - Staff are very friendly and welcoming, they were very helpful on check in . Rooms ate great with a good view , would recommend staying !!!
- Mark (10/5): Nice, great hotel. - The hotel was modern, clean, fresh and very nice. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
- Dov (10/5): Great hotel - Wonderful location, right across the street from Lido Beach. Nice large suite. Loved the breakfast.
- Lea (6/5): - Could be more clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room / garden suite was very pleasant & spacious p
- Vered (10/5): - We
- Verified traveler (10/5): A wonderful and well-run hotel - Was treated very well by Bar, the manager, and the whole staff. We always enjoy coming back to this hotel!
- Mark (8/5): Nice modern Hotel. - Very nice hotel with beach views. Great rooms and clean and modern. Shame they forgot my 3am wake up call which caused a panic to get to the airport.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, modern, lovely staff, and good location by sea.
- Moshe (10/5): - Massive modern suites. Very friendly reception. Lovely sea view.
- Amnon (10/5): Enjoyable weekend - we enjoyed our stay, staff very friendly and professional, rooms neat, clean and comfortable, beautiful views to the sea. Breakfast was ok, not the standard we know from other Israeli hotels but still ok
- Eliahu (10/5): Head over heels - The stay was fantastic. Staff went out of there way to make sure I was comfortable and happy. The hotel is 200 yards from the water line. If you like to take walks on the beach. Breakfast is second to none. Amazing selection on the buffet with fresh squeezed orange juice, custom omelette station great selection of different cheeses and different smoked fish lox.
You will definitely enjoy your stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): relaxing vacay - We really had a nice time in the hotel .When our room had an issue they upgraded us to a executive suite. The staff was extremely accommodating. The hotel is very modern ,clean and all the rooms have an amazing view to the ocean. Our room was very spacious with a nice kitchen area.Would definitely go back.Special thanks to the manager Yaniv Adivi for being so nice and accommodating.
Eli
- Brenda (10/5): Highly recommend this hotel in Ashdod - We were there for an anniversary celebration. The hotel itself was lovely, clean, and our room was spacious and quiet with a big balcony ... felt like a mini apartment even. And the staff who checked us in were super pleasant and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hotel on the beach. Lots of space. Bike and running opportunities, follow the beach road until you find the path.
- Mark (8/5): Nice comfortable Hotel - I was there for business. The hotel was nice rooms was nice and comfortable. Service in the restaurant was very slow.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Superb location fabulous food in The Endive restaurant. The suite rooms are so comfy and spacious. Can’t wait to visit again!
- aya (10/5): - very good hotel!!!
- gaurav (8/5): very good option - property is opposite the beach on one side & garden on other. many restaurants at walking distance. good breakfast & clean spacious rooms. recommended for business stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice hotel! Would definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We really enjoyed! It was amazing!
- Nahum (8/5): - Good location. Very nice rooms. Nice hotel team......
- Pierre (8/5): - Recent hotel with a nIce view on the sea. Swimming pool is definitely too small for swmimming.
Beach is accross the street ! restaurants are within walking distance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great choice in Ashdod, Israel - Great Hotel, Great location, A little pricey but still reasonable. In my eyes it is a 4 star hotel. If you like the beach it is across the street. Wednesday is a very famous market, walking distance. Very colorful. Not to many choices in Ashdod. Hotel west would be my choice. Unbelievable breakfast buffet.
- Sally (10/5): Beautiful on the inside - This is a quaint boutique hotel in the old city area. It is not much on the outside, but once inside the courtyard, it is a gem. The one bedroom suite was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Moshe was extremely helpful getting us settled in and he cooked wonderful breakfasts that were too ample. We would definitely come back.
- Heather (10/5): Wonderful Stay!! - My husband and I had a wonderful stay. Great location. Near food, across from the beach and free parking!! Highly recommend!
- Tami (8/5): Service not on par with cost; great view of sea - I asked for bedding for the LR couch as sometimes I like to nap, not in my bed. When I asked, they tried to make me feel like my request was out of place. I waited to ask again a bit later in the day, when there were new people at the front desk, and they were very accommodating. If you can avoid visiting during Passover, I'd recommend it. Hotels are mobs, lines at the front desk are often long, and elevators can be crowded. Overall, "customer service" is a relative term in Israel, whether it's at hotels, restaurants, etc. It's a totally different mindset than in the US. It's like ordering at Wendys...you can tell them what you want but they will give you what they feel like.
The location is amazing, though...right on the Mediterranean Sea.
- myriam (10/5): West hotel.Ashdod .Israel - Very nice hotel.Very clean and so close to the beach.
The staff was very polite and courteous.
I would return without a doubt.
- christer (10/5): - Very friendly staff, exelent food both breakfast and dinner. Nice and large rooms.
- sam (10/5): - We come for vacation really like everything about this hotel the location is perfect close to the city right by the beach . We look forward to come again
- Boris (10/5): Nice hotel, close to the beach - Nice, not overcrowded city, but the hotel, as all hotels, is pretty far from the center.
Good beaches, good roads, nice parks and buildings.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average hotel - Not so clean, low quality facilities.
Good food, polite staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): Modern Hotel Close to Beach and Restaurants. - Good place. But no microwave or utensils. If going to advertise as 'Suite Hotel' should have at least those things.
- Stuart (10/5): Good place to stay for families and for business. - Comfortable room, friendly service and a skilful kitchen all made this an unexpectedly pleasant stay. A slight downside was the proximity of the port which is unattractive.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel itself is nice but service is terrible, with only one or two exceptions the staff is incredibly rude and very unaccommodating, many of them have a serious attitude problem and are ridiculously disrespectful no matter how polite you are to them
- SDL (8/5): Good value - clean and comfortable - I was looking for a place to stay because I had business in Kyriat Melachi. The hotel was clean and comfortable, but I would not say as luxurious as a 5-star hotel. The room was spacious with a small kitchen, living room, and bedroom. We had a balcony with a partial view of the Mediterranean. Breakfast was very good.
There is not much to do immediately around the hotel. It was a short walk to the beach (which is not the nicest beach in Israel) or to a restaurant. It was a long walk (or a short drive) to the central business district where there are more restaurants, shops, and a mall.
Overall, I has pleased with this hotel and would consider staying there again.
- Leonid (6/5):
Hotel,
Telephone connections.
- Hotel is Good..
I had to make local telephone calls in Ashdod through operator or from receptionist's desk.
I could be reached from Ashdod only through operator.
I was told by receptionist to live my credit card in order to use a phone in a regular way.
I offered to give my credit card number to receptionist, but my suggestion was declined.

- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Great location, staff and manager exceptional. Food was wonderful, great selection. Would stay there again if I have future work, will recommend it to my company and their staff.
- jacque (10/5): A gem on the Mediterranean - Surprise to find such a beautiful hotel in a port city. Apparently Ashdod is a booming resort and the West All Suite Hotel was beautiful. Breakfast buffet was delightful, the views of the Mediterranean lovely. We were told we had a queen bed, but were delighted to find a very comfortable king bed. Wish we could have stayed a few extra days.
- Anna (10/5): Very nice and quiet hotel in Ashdod - The hotel has a beautiful view of the water and the beach. Spend extra money and get the suite on the 7-9 floors, worth every penny. The service is ok, staff at breakfast was not always friendly, but overall ok. The only complain is that the water didn't drained well in the bathtub, they tried to fix it twice, but it didn't help a whole lot. I would certainly stay there again.
- Paul (8/5): Good location - Nice and friendly
- IGAL (10/5): BEST VIEW OF THE SEA AND AWFUL SERVICE - NEW COMFORTABLE HOTEL WITH TREMENDOUS WITH THE VIEW OF THE SEA WITH EXTREMELY RELOADED AND CLOSE RESTAURANT WITH AWFUL SERVICE IN IT THE RESTAURANT
- Teck Hwee (10/5): Nice hotel - Had a good stay at the hotel. The room is clean and spacious.
- David (8/5): Good business hotel - spacious rooms at fair price - Overall the hotel is good. The pool is seasonal which unfortunately means that it closes from early November, even with temperature of 26 degrees +.The rooms are nice and spacious and the employees are helpful and gracious. If you are on a business trip or visiting Ashdod for a specific reason then I can recommend this hotel. For a family or weekend vacation it is the wrong choice.
- PMO (8/5): Could have been a five-star hotel - Except for the food in all venues, room service especially, life is good in this all-suite hotel.
- Harold & Loretta (10/5): AWESOME VACATION EXPERIENCE - The only thing nicer than the great suite & amenities is the food !!
The 3rd floor pools and marble steam & dry wood saunas overlook the sea !!
The buffet breakfast in an epicurean delight. The room has floor to ceiling glass walls in the living room & bedroom adjacent to the large glass walked deck which are all overlooking the Mediterranean Sea a mere 100 meters / yards away.
The suite is a true suite with a great bed, 2 LCD's, 12 outlets and USB hookup. The staff has been so friendly and helpful. My wife & I just want to stay here forever.
New in 2013 and across from the fine sands and very warm waters of the Mediterranean we have found it difficult to leave this comfort zone and do the touring as planned.
Been here 8 days so far and we'll surely be back for more !!!!
- Mo (8/5): Nice and pleasnt - This was nice recovery after long plane ride. Clean, friendly staff, close to the beach.
