- Mischa (4/5): More like an overpriced Air Bnb than a hotel- Not worth the price - Balconies in the queen room suite were nice. The 'queen room balcony suite' is in another building, a house across the street from the motel. We were told it is the house that the owners live in. So, it felt very much like an Air Bnb, not a motel/hotel stay. It felt like you were staying in their guest room, and it was not equipped as a hotel would be- No hand soap in the bathroom, no room cleaning or service, no trash cans, no telephone to call the front desk and ask...! The room was not super clean either- cob webs on the curtains, one of the light fixtures was broken. So, not good value for money at all- It was more like an overpriced Air Bnb experience, which is not what we signed up for.

I would 100% recommend for anyone who wants decent accommodations managed by a family who treats you like one of them.

The main bedroom had soiled bed (pee) in it and it looks like the previous guest made the mess, the cleaners changed the sheets and did not change the bed topping. So obviously soiled the new sheets…. I spoke to the front desk to have it cleaned the next morning as it was late at night, when we discovered this.. I asked if they could do it at 10 AM because we had children. They said they would and the room wasn’t clean till 1 PM.. We went back into the room at 2 pm and the bed that we have requested to be clean was not clean the other two beds were… so I just tracked down the cleaners and asked for sheet sheets and changed it myself. The owners didn’t apologize and or cared when I went to the front desk I was not happy about this. The floors has food stuck to them and they were not washed properly. We asked for cooking trays and bowls to put food in and they couldn’t provide this, for us so having a kitchenette with not the right supplies. Made it hard for us to feed all the kids! Never had that happen during a stay . The one will provided had a crack in it even. On top of that when we went out for dinner on Saturday night and returned, our key cards did not work. The front desk was closed so they tried to obviously lock us out of the hotel room.. we had three key cars that worked prior to going for dinner…. Mmmmm So glad we left a window opened to get inside… If they would’ve apologized and give us a discount on our stay, we would have not wrote this review, but given that we never got an apology or the room cleaned properly and or maybe not locked out of our room…. the final night things would have been different.

The access to the pool and the lovely outdoor space only added to our comfort and a true vacation feel. The only noticeable thing that would need some attention would be to purchase new towels. They were worn and stained.

- O1931OQmicheleh (2/5): Lack of Customer service shocking - Let me start off right away with the fact we did not actually end up staying here. Our review is based on the, what we consider, lack of any customer care due to a late booking cancellation. Nine days before our reservation date, my mom passed away suddenly, leaving me the only child to care for another elderly parent. We had three bookings all with VBRO or Expedia. The two VBRO rentals gave us our full refund even though their cancellation timelines were far shorter, one location even refused to take our administrative fee from us. When we contacted Sahara Courtyard directly, on the advice of Expedia, who tried to discuss with the owner on our part, they indicated they would think about a refund. We sent along a note explaining the situation and my mom's death certificate. We waited a week and then reached out again, no response. So we figured we would let folks know good old fashioned, considerate customer care is not alive and well here. So we didn't stay here, this review is about customer care and I wouldn't recommend it based on our experience. And before folks get all "small businesses need to take care of themselves", it was nine days notice at a motel - it wasn't late notice.

Zero noise insulation in the room so you get to hear everything that is happening around you. Cherry on top was horrendously uncomfortable mattress that completed the stay experience. If you are considering this place, just do yourself a favour, spend additional $10-20 and get any other place around there.

It doesn't go all way down to floor (it's a shower stall) and bathroom floor gets wet. The TV remote is sticky. And of course, the advertised picture is not like what I expected to get.

The outdoor pool was cloudy so we went swimming at the lake which is very close - 2 min walk. The family room was good with our own big deck. The inside courtyard is the best part of this hotel. There is potential here but TLC is needed. I would not stay here again.

Which was ok until other guests parked right outside our room left at 6:00am. We went to the desk in the morning to request to be moved to another room. They ended up installing a new air conditioner. Thank you for that. The rooms were clean. The property does need some some upgrading as it is an older property. Lounge chairs around the pool were torn. There was a hole in our bathroom wall that had what looked like kleenex stuffed in it. As they are going into their Off season, now would be a good time for them to do some work.

Die Zimmer haben zwar alle eine Klimaanlage, aber die befindet sich innen direkt neben dem Bett ca. 40 cm entfernt und ist super super laut. Man kann unmöglich mit laufender Klimaanlage schlafen. Wenn sie ausgeschaltet ist, wird es 5-10min später innen extrem warm. Wir waren beide Nachts komplett durchgeschwitzt. Ok waren halt tagsüber 37 C in Osoyoos aber was bringt es wenn die Zimmer tagsüber kühl sind wenn man nicht da ist.

- Larry (2/5): Filthy - The first room they gave us was tiny and had not been cleaned (ie. The beds were not made and there were towels all over the floor. The “upgraded” room they gave us was dark and the tv continually lost power. The most alarming concern was that we split water on the tile, and used a washcloth to wipe it up. The cloth was filthy after one wipe so it appeared as though the floor had not been cleaned in a very long time. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
- tracypD1540SR (2/5): Never again! - We stayed here prior to covid and we enjoyed our stay back then , not so much this time around. the place is filthy..we tried to check in early but apparently they were still cleaning rooms... when we did finally get the swipe card it was a blank card nothing on it.. open the door and disgusted, bed not made left with mattress cover on it looked like someone slept on it.. the floor is disgusting and it stunk!!! never again the only updates here were to the lobby and probably the land Rover that's parked in front!! last long weekend in August/ Sept. there are no other rooms anywhere ...we thought we'd sit in a lounger not one wasn't ripped same as they had years ago... everyone had animals and I can tell you I love my dogs but they are not cleaning these places .. gross! We go back to this room and yep no TV .. LOL I mean really could it get worse.. so so disappointed and no they did not discount us nor ask us if we were satisfied.. nope never again... fool me once.. the pictures on the web site are very very false. beware!

Ceramiques de salle de bain briser.sur les plinthes,saletés. Prélart soulever à l'entrée. Terrasse avec table et chaises partager avec d'autres clients piscine eau brouiller . Très familiale car piscine et espace jardins occupés par des enfants. Pas d'espace tranquille pour baignade comme adulte. Aussi beaucoup de chiens acceptés dans les chambres. Chambres louer à de grands groupes donc pas tranquille.

Our room wasn't ready and when they told us it was, we went in to find a messy bed, garbage , dirty floor and a dirty tub. Plus the fridge was dirty with spilled food in it. There were lots of flies because the room needed a complete cleaning.

- Steven (10/5): - Cute little spot with convenient central pool area with lots of picnic tables to hang out at. Room was nice with mini fridge & microwave. A/C machine was a little noisy but kept the room nice and cool throughout the nice.

- Sharen Gale (6/5): - There is a parking space in front of each room but it's not assigned to the room so parking is a free-for-all. We had to park across the street. The toilet in our room wasn't cleaned - the seat was covered in urine - it was disgusting. This made me question what other areas hadn't been cleaned. There are no instructions for the TV remote. The manager had no problem using it but we couldn't figure it out.

The topper of the bed is not as clean and appeared to be not newly washed. We enjoyed the pool though and gives a thumbs up for the parking and safety of the area.

Court yard was great with nice tables and chairs . Barbeque for your use if you want to bbq and a good smoking area for those that smoke. Close to the beach and Main Street

We asked to speak to the cleaner and she went to the front desk. We asked where the lost and found was, was told laundry room and asked the front desk guy to check. He did and our items were in there. Unfortunate how this was dealt with, most hotels call you when missing items are found after check out. Disappointed with how this was dealt with.

- AnnInBC (10/5): Beautiful hotel with wonderful courtyard - We (husband, daughter, 2 dogs and myself) stayed for one night at this hotel in the beginning of August 2025. I booked a double queen room a couple of days before arrival. We travel in a camper van and stay in hotels now and then. It was very hot in Osoyoos to stay in the van for that night. We arrived just after 4pm and it took very little time for us to get our room keys (swipe cards). Our room was already nice and cold when we got inside and we were pleasantly surprised that there was a king bed and queen bed in the room, bonus! There was air-conditioning, a big flat screen TV, a fridge, a sitting area and bathroom with bath/shower. The room was clean and tidy. The surroundings were so pretty and we loved the inner courtyard garden with a outdoor tables with a big umbrella and chairs for each room/suite. There were some grassy areas, a small children's pool and a bigger pool for guest. There were also BBQ facilities, a game room and a coin-operated guest laundry. The parking area was on the outside of the hotel and free. There were little alley ways that connected the parking lot with the courtyard to get to your room. Ours happened to be in the courtyard. It was very quiet and even outside in the courtyard it was fairly quiet. We were about a couple of minutes walk from the beach as well. Highly recommended with friendly staff and very clean rooms.

- Tania (4/5): - Advertised as pet friendly, was anything but. Dogs were only allowed in your room, not allowed anywhere on property. They have you read a sign, after you pay, regarding dog policy, no dogs allowed anywhere on property, that they can reccomend a dog park nearby! Went to make coffee in the morning, the pot was moldy inside, had to clean with a facecloth, very gross.

There has not been a lot of investment in the actual hotel - furniture is outdated and well-worn, there are not enough electric plugs, the shower curtain didn't reach the floor and there are really not a lot of amenities. But the room was clean and the staff were attentive. The courtyard is nice.
- Lorraine (8/5): A really lovely place to stay. M - Great value for money. The room was immaculate and comfortable. Loved being next to the pool. The air conditioner was quite loud.
